The atmosphere was really nice, welcoming, and friendly! The staff was kind, and the service was great from start to finish. My husband and I ordered the spicy miso ramen and dumplings. Everything tasted fresh, and I personally really enjoyed my meal. The portions were generous too The only thing my husband mentioned was that the broth wasn't very flavorful for his taste. If you prefer a richer, stronger broth, you may want to ask for extra seasoning or a more flavorful broth option. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. I'd definitely come back and try it again!

Nice lunch at Goro Ramen with a friend. We both ordered the Spicy Miso. It was excellent; delicious, favorable and robust. Ingredients included pork meatballs and roasted garlic miso. Very enjoyable! The restaurant is located in the heart of the Paseo district. The building is old but the interior is fairly new to when they moved the restaurant from the plazza distric to Paseo about five years ago. It has a modern vibe with clean lines and a bit of nostalgia provided by the old brick walls. The server was excellent.

This is the best Ramen I have ever had hands down. THE broth is delicious I had the fried beef Ramen w green chilis, scallops egg, noodles I had hot tea and honey .The check in process was a little crazy people were pouring in and no room to wait .We were directed to a small space to wait but we had to keep checking about our table to make sure we were not forgotten. The bartender was so nice but was having to make all drinks for this whole restaurant and take orders for food at the bar .In my onion needed more help . But all in all I would go back for the Ramen.

This is a really nice place with 2 bar areas. The entrance is small and there didn't seem to be a sign saying Goro Ramen. You enter through the patio which was nice. However, expect a little wait as they are popular. Sat at the far bar. The bartender was very busy making drinks and trying to keep up with patrons at the bar. He did a really good job and didn't seem stressed at all. The food was fantastic. Started with Pork Belly Nikuman which was so light and delicious. Then I had the Green Chili Ramen. It had some good spice to it and you can add additional spice in the form of a Sukio green chili bomb. It was delicious with green onions, a soft boiled egg, crispy pork belly, a roasted tomato, and bean sprouts. Highly recommend for a date night or a get together with friends.

Spicy miso ramen is the only thing I got for there broth is very good. I love ramen and they make some good ramen. The service was a little slow , we put in a reservation online and it said ready put we're waiting for the table to finish . Sometimes there is a line outside. Which is why there good!! Overall good experience and good ramen

Easily the best ramen I've had in any Oklahoma metro area. Tonight I went for the yasai vegan bowl with extra tofu and a chili bomb, and the classic Tori paitan with chili bomb. Vegan ramen is hard to impress me with, but this place nails it. It doesn't hide the fact that it's fully vegan. It embraces the umami mushrooms, sweet and acidic tomatoes, and aromatic onions and shallots while also still having a great fattiness to the broth. I can always tell when my bowl is from Goro because of the craftsmanship and flavors. It feels different and refreshing from all other places that serve ramen.  Also failed to include a photo of the Japanese whiskey highball! Goro has one of the only places with a machine to make these high balls with carbonation equivalent to champagne. Every drink, every appetizer, and every dish I've had I've loved. It's always a joy to come back whenever I'm in town!

The spicy ramen is good. The noodles are harder and chewy. The corn is well done. Green onion thin. The broth tasted like pork broth with chilis and had a spice level of 5 out of 10. The mushrooms were nice. The chicken meatballs are very soft and had alot of flavor. I liked it. A

The food was absolutely amazing. I had spicy miso. My daughter had regular. My boyfriend had spicy miso with pork. We also have the brussels sprouts for an appetizer, super yummy. our weight staff was amazing. After we ate all that we could our waiter, took our Ramen to the back and put it into containers for us. And we went on a day when it was a great temperature so they had the outdoors open and the atmosphere was a very pleasant experience.

Gorō Ramen was excellent! We were able to be seated straight away on a Saturday night. Our server was Alex and she was amazing; super attentive with a great attitude. We got both the Coconut Shrimp and the Pork Belly Nikumans and they were delicious. The coconut shrimp is an absolute must order. For our main course we got the spicy miso ramen and the chilled ramen. I actually ended up loving the chilled ramen more than i had expected, the spices and finishings all blend together so well and the cold made it all the more interesting. The eggs were absolutely perfect in the spicy ramen (if i could go back i might've added on another). We got the black sesame ice cream and it was absolutely delightful, the texture was especially pleasing. Would visit again!!

My experience at Goro was nothing short of amazing. The service was prompt and attentive, the ambiance was relaxing and pleasant, and the food was great! I tried their special Birria ramen, and I loved the flavors and taste. It was an interesting fusion dish with unique flavors that I've never tasted before. Some say the food is on the pricier side but when it comes to portions and quality I believe it's worth the price. They're also open later than most restaurants, so if you're out late and want a hearty bite, Goro is the place to go! And, be on the lookout for their monthly ramen specials that are only available on Mondays!

Ask the Community - Gorō Ramen

Are they still serving the yakitori?

Hey Katie! We are unfortunately not offering the yakitori items at this time because we brought back our nikuman (steamed buns) due to high demand and are using that cooking station for these. We hope to bring back some yakitori items as specials in…

    Are they open for dine-in?

No. Takeout only - last day of service is 8/31 before they move to the Paseo.

Anyone know if it is possible to call ahead for a reservation?

It's a first come first serve restaurant! :)

Does anyone have an approximation of how long the wait would be at 6:30pm on a Saturday?

It varies, typically it is around thirty to forty-five minutes.

The Espresso Natini was perfect 5/5: velvety, smooth, and an excellent mocktail. The Tuna Crispy Rice was another 5/5, with crispy yet soft rice and glazed tuna that added just the right touch of sweetness. The Foie Gras was rich, buttery, crispy, and topped with a sweet sauce. Absolutely delicious. 5/5 The biggest surprise was the salmon nigiri. It was the first time I tasted the buttery fat content. I'm new to sashimi! 5/5 The Tamago was a solid 4.5/5 with great texture and sweetness, though it could have used more rice and been served hotter. The Shogun was my lowest-rated dish at 3.5/5. Creative and refreshing, but too wet from the cucumber. The Smokin' Salmon Aburi was good, but had too many competing flavors. The most interesting item was the Baked King of Crab. I wasn't impressed at first, but after deconstructing it and eating the components separately, I discovered multiple types of crab, including a crab leg. That turned it into a 5/5.

To share we got the crunchy rice tuna and the blossom roll with a mix of the fish options (like a rainbow roll). The crunchy rice tuna has such a nice combination of textures with a little crunch from the rice and creaminess from the avocado and fish. The roll was delicious. Fresh fish, the rice in the roll was just as it should be-not too mushy (a problem I find with a lot of sushi places I've tried in Oklahoma) or too firm. For myself I got the sashimi tasting which was an absolutely delicious assortment of seafood. All of the pieces were well seasoned and tasted fresh. My husband got the fried chicken and sukiyaki. He was very pleased with both. As a bonus I got a cheesecake because we were celebrating my birthday and they gave us each a shot. I appreciate that they gave me a non-alcoholic shot since I don't drink alcohol. Overall the food was fantastic and the service was great but it comes with a corresponding price tag. Was it worth it? In my opinion, yes, most definitely. I will say though that if you don't care for seafood there are options for you, but you likely won't appreciate this place nearly as much as someone who does.

One of our friends ordered the sushi set as his entree, which comes with 5 pieces of nigiri and a sushi roll. He only got the nigiri (salmon, regular tuna, mackerel, and 2 tamago nigiri). When we brought it to one of the servers attention, she told us it was an either/or option. After talking with other friends, they told us they received both, and the nigiri was higher quality, like toro. Three of our friends ordered the pork katsu. One of the katsus was brought out early and the other two took some time. After the other two katsus came out, it was noticeable that the first one was probably refried, which made us think it was old and they didn't want to waste it. We also learned that our other friends said that when they went, the server told them that if there was anything they liked, they could ask for more to be brought to the table. Our server did not tell us this. And the sad part is that they actually took some dishes away from the buffet and didn't refill it, which was the salmon sashimi. Overall, I feel like the experience was disappointing and the advertising was misleading. There wasn't much fresh fish available, as one might think. Sounds like service isn't equal and great across the board. Some friends enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet, some other friends had the same experience we did.

She apologized for the fly and I told her that I understand that things happen sometimes. She proceeded to tell me that employees are instructed to strain the soy sauce prior to pouring it into the individual containers on the table. She walked off before I could fully consider that she meant strain for bugs or wonder why the soy sauce would need to be strained if it was fresh or sealed. No mention was made of giving me any kind of discount or replacing the piece of sushi that I lost to the fly incident.

I really like O Bar. The space is beautiful, the skyline views are great, the cocktails and food…read moreare good, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. On paper, it should be an ideal place to unwind over a cocktail after work. But somebody in management desperately needs to rethink the music programming. At about 5:30 on a Monday evening, with four patrons in the bar, the soundtrack bounced from Faith No More's "Epic" to Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog," then Tai Verdes' "Two Sugars," Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Black Summer," and finally Green Day's "Stab You in the Heart." The problem isn't the music itself--I actually like much of it. It's that the playlist seems completely disconnected from the room, the time of day, and the energy of the guests. O Bar is giving upholstered chairs, skyline views, martinis, and early-evening decompression. The soundtrack is giving 1973 Camaro doing 87 on I-40. By the time Green Day came on, the disconnect was almost comical: The room: "Would you care for another martini while you watch the sun settle over downtown?" Corporate soundtrack: "STAB YOU IN THE HEART." I politely asked the bartender whether we could switch to something a little more mellow. He couldn't have been nicer, but explained that the music is controlled by corporate and staff aren't allowed to change it. Apparently he has even gotten in trouble for trying to play something more appropriate. That's the part management should pay attention to. Music is part of hospitality design. A sophisticated bar like this needs thoughtful dayparted music programming: Monday at 5:30 is not Friday at 10:30. Nobody is asking for elevator music--give the room personality--but early happy hour calls for something with enough pulse to keep the space alive while staying behind the conversation. The bartender clearly understood the room. Give your staff some discretion, or at least give them playlists that respond to the setting they're actually working in. Excellent bartender. Excellent setting. Good food and cocktails. But the soundtrack was so relentlessly mismatched with the early-Monday atmosphere I wanted that I scarfed down my food and quickly sought Monday-vibe shelter elsewhere. Management: please give this beautiful room the soundtrack it deserves.
