Everyone was raving about the fried rice but it was not that good. We also tried the tonkotsu ramen and the curry ramen which were also not that great. The broth is just not flavorful. Solid spot for ramen in the OKC area. Portions are big (even the small size) with enough for leftovers if you order an appetizer. The prices are decent as well. We had the garlic fried rice which was so delicious; tasty mix of salty and buttery flavors and served in a cast iron skillet and stirred at the table right before serving. The fried rice and egg get a nice crispiness as it continues to cook in the skillet. My husband thought that this was actually better than the ramen. For ramen, I had the miso butter corn ramen which is good if you like strong miso flavor which has a creaminess to it. The braised pork belly has a sweetness to it and is tender but I wish it came with more protein and would probably add tofu or a soft boiled egg in the future. I'll start this review by saying that as far as flavor and quality of ramen, this place does a phenomenal job. I love their ramen and will continue to order from here because of it. That being said, the cuisine is only a part of the experience at a restaurant. I have been here several times and the service has never been great. It always seems that the server has too many tables and doesn't know much about what's on the menu. My last visit, I was sat at a table that was unfortunately located in front of the host stand directly in the line of traffic. The server came over and her first words were "Hi, I'm training." This is a personal pet peeve of mine bc it automatically lets you know that even though you are expected to pay the same amount and tip the same amount, your service will probably not be as good. Mind you, she was very kind and personable and being shadowed by someone. The restaurant was and is always incredibly loud. The staff frequently yells something in Japanese every time someone leaves or enters. The idea sounds endearing, but when added with an incredibly noisy restaurant, it is chaotic. We ordered potstickers for an appetizer and the table across from us who sat down after us had their meal before we had our appetizer. I ordered a Diet Coke and my friend a Dr. Pepper. They brought the drinks and they were so watered down, we couldn't even figure out which was which. We asked about it and they said that the flavoring probably needed to be changed. They stated we could either wait 10 minutes for that or choose something else to drink. At that point, we both switched to coke and it turned out being a good choice. In conclusion, the food is great. I will definitely order takeout when I have hankering for ramen. As for the experience in the restaurant, it leaves much to be desired. The staff seem to have too much on their plates and the level of service doesn't match the price they're asking you to pay. My advice? Get your food to-go and walk across the street to eat at the park. read more

Our first Ramen in Edmond and it was delicious! My wife lived in Okinawa once upon a time and remembers the flavors well. Her meal brought back pleasant memories for her. We shared an order of Gyoza which was very good and not over cooked. My wife had the Ninniku Tonkotsu and I had the Tonkotsu classic. Both had tender pork slices easy to cut with chop sticks. The broth was rich and bursting with flavor. When we asked for chili, the server brought us a chili/salt mixture which reminded us of Tajin. She offered a spicier version which was perfect. The ambiance is laid back and fun. Several different anime programs were projected on the walls with indie rock as background music. The Japanese commercial metal signs were unique. Our server, Bianca, was awesome! She mentioned she had worked here 5 years which tells me management cares for their people. As first timers here, she walked us all the way from menu options (QR code or physical), app and entree options to payment at the table. I've never had to write a negative review before and I prefer to never write another, but this review needed to be written. I've never in my life felt so discriminated against, it was like we were invisible to the entire staff. We got seated at our table, and while waiting patiently for 10 minutes for our server, we watched two tables, one to our left and one to our right, get seated after us and immediately have their drink and food orders taken. Meanwhile, not a single person acknowledged us. No water, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. It genuinely felt like we weren't welcome there. After several more minutes of being completely ignored, we finally decided to leave. I don't know what was going on that night, but no paying customer should ever be treated that way. I hope management addresses this, because nobody deserves to feel invisible when simply trying to enjoy a meal with their family. My family and I decided that we will never visit this restaurant again, we felt so embarrassed and disrespected. This is my first time to this location, I've been to the OKC one a bunch of times. A few things are different in this location than the other: 1. You order at the front first, including alcoholic beverages. 2. Once you order, you have to wait to be seated. On a Wednesday evening, around 6:30, there were a few minutes to wait for a table, much better than the OKC location. 3. There's more room in the restaurant. You don't feel crammed at all. 4. Food came out a little quicker than at the original location. This was a fabulous experience. Everyone seemed kind and happy to work here. Of course, the food is amazing. I have been here many times and each time I am more underwhelmed unfortunately. The food is still ok but it is the atmosphere that really makes the meal uncomfortable. The music is so loud I can barely hear and even when putting in my AirPods on noise cancelling it's overwhelming. I always get the garlic rice and it was really good this visit but the ramen seems to be getting less flavorful every time I am here. Service was alright but the young kids working the day I went seemed pretty new. While we were placing our order, she recommended a "secret menu item" for my fried rice that involved mixing the fried chicken into the rice with a special sauce and QP mayo. Let me start off by saying that I didn't grow up in Oklahoma, so this type of cuisine is not new to me. I can see how if you didn't grow up with this, that it would be phenomenal. With all due respect, it was absolutely average. Perhaps my friends hyped this place up too much but it failed to deliver anything special. We started off with the gyoza, which was okay. I'd eat them again. The table got two orders of Chashudon and two garlic fried rice. The portion size was rather small for what they were charging. I got an extra portion of meat but when compared to the other, it was maybe two ounces more. The pork was crispy(a lot of skin) and fatty but lacked actual meat which is why I got the extra portion. The truffle in the mayo seemed to be missing as well. So overall is was lackluster. The Garlic fried rice had good flavor but the rice was mushy. For the price and reputation, it was a MISS. Perhaps it was just an off night in the kitchen only they're struggling to keep up with demand so they aren't paying attn to detail. I wouldn't recommend it for the money if you're familiar with Asian cuisine, if not then it'll be fine. read more

They remodeled! They needed to -- this place is really popular. This is the only place we'll go for Ramen now. Super legit - we came from LA, and were real foodies there, and my son is a Japan-phile. Also the anime projected on all the walls really distinguishes the place for us. (I'm getting better at guessing the shows). I love trying their new creative dishes like the Mazemen (without broth) so tasty -- be sure to get the uncooked (but pasturized) egg -- it makes a huge difference. So soothing! Long story short, this place had the heartiest and savory ramen I've had since coming out to OKC. This place is delicious.
