The ramen was really good, the soup is creamy and the flavor is not overpowering. I came with my boyfriend and he said that it's the best ramen he's ever had. We also ordered the thai and ube boba tea and they're great! read more

Honestly just go to goro, I've had tamashii twice now, and it never hits the same. I love the poached eggs at goro ramen and thought tamashi could do the same but when I tell you it tasted rotten, and like chemicals and horrible. Just don't go. The broth is good. Wish it had more meat. But the eggs are a big disappointment. The gyoza was good. read more

Went here for the first time and the service was very very very excellent. The server gave a tour of the menu and immediately decided on the spicy miso corn butter ramen. It was served so fast, like before I even had time to doom scroll my phone. The food is fresh they make the pot stickers in the morning every day, and the atmosphere is nice and moody for a perfect date night or lunch. I'll def be coming back. read more

Tamashii Ramen - Edmond - MISO BUTTER CORN - Ramen Near Me - Edmond, Oklahoma

Solid spot for ramen in the OKC area. Portions are big (even the small size) with enough for leftovers if you order an appetizer. The prices are decent as well. We had the garlic fried rice which was so delicious; tasty mix of salty and buttery flavors and served in a cast iron skillet and stirred at the table right before serving. The fried rice and egg get a nice crispiness as it continues to cook in the skillet. My husband thought that this was actually better than the ramen. For ramen, I had the miso butter corn ramen which is good if you like strong miso flavor which has a creaminess to it. The braised pork belly has a sweetness to it and is tender but I wish it came with more protein and would probably add tofu or a soft boiled egg in the future. My husband had the garlic tonkotsu ramen which he thought was pretty good. read more

For a good ramen eat, this is the place! Definitely have reservations because this place gets packed. And for good reason! I got to enjoy the curry ramen but I added chicken karaage because I don't typically eat pork, and the added crunch was so delicious. The broth was very deep in flavor. Had layers of creaminess and flavor that I haven't been able to experience in other ramen spots. Totally worth it for a nice warm bowl of soup! read more

Everyone was raving about the fried rice but it was not that good. We also tried the tonkotsu ramen and the curry ramen which were also not that great. The broth is just not flavorful. The curry ramen tasted exactly like Indian curry. I was expecting a Korean flavored curry but it definitely was not that. Service was quick and super nice. read more

Tucked away in the heart of Edmond is a Japanese ramen spot that continues to impress, and my latest visit was no exception. I ordered the Ninikku Garlic Ramen alongside a side of Garlic Fried Rice, and from the very first bite, it was clear: this place knows how to deliver bold, satisfying flavor. The Ninikku Garlic Ramen is a garlic lover's dream. The broth was rich, aromatic, and deeply savory, with a punch of roasted garlic that balanced beautifully without overpowering. The noodles were al dente--springy and perfectly cooked--soaking up the broth while still holding their own texture. Each slurp was layered with umami, and the garlic permeated the dish in all the right ways, adding warmth and depth without overwhelming the palate. The Garlic Fried Rice was the perfect companion. Fragrant and well-seasoned, each grain was fluffy yet crisp in spots, showcasing the restaurant's skill in wok technique. The garlic came through again here--robust but never bitter--bringing out the natural sweetness in the rice and tying the whole meal together. This is the kind of food that stays with you--not just because of how it tastes, but because of how it makes you feel: comforted, satisfied, and already thinking about the next visit. If you're in Edmond and craving authentic Japanese flavor with a bold garlic twist, this ramen spot should be at the top of your list. read more

I don't go to other ramen places, so my only other experience is the dry stuff you get out of the plastic package when you're poor, but this is a lot better than that! Get an extra egg because they are delicious. That is a pro tip. Also, they play anime on the walls, so that's also pretty cool. The service is usually quick and friendly. Dattebayo! read more

On Saturday we placed an order for ramen. When we picked it up and went home, the broth in the bowl was barely there. I hardly ever order take out from here and was disappointed. Ramen without broth isn't ramen....it's dry noodles. We called the restaurant and no one has returned our call. I have had good service eating in but not ordering out. read more

I love this place, the environment and food are amazing! But they turn off their phones and it is extremely hard to reach them, if you are placing a togo order their app will tell you the wrong times. Our first Ramen in Edmond and it was delicious! My wife lived in Okinawa once upon a time and remembers the flavors well. Her meal brought back pleasant memories for her. We shared an order of Gyoza which was very good and not over cooked. My wife had the Ninniku Tonkotsu and I had the Tonkotsu classic. Both had tender pork slices easy to cut with chop sticks. The broth was rich and bursting with flavor. When we asked for chili, the server brought us a chili/salt mixture which reminded us of Tajin. She offered a spicier version which was perfect. The ambiance is laid back and fun. Several different anime programs were projected on the walls with indie rock as background music. The Japanese commercial metal signs were unique. Our server, Bianca, was awesome! She mentioned she had worked here 5 years which tells me management cares for their people. As first timers here, she walked us all the way from menu options (QR code or physical), app and entree options to payment at the table. We usually experience this level of service at a much higher price point. We will be back and bring some friends. read more

****PLEASE READ TILL THE END**** Not sure yet. This is one of those places who won't seat you until your whole party is here. So I'm sitting here waiting on my son while the rest of the restaurant fills up. I wonder if there's any other way that I could make my eating experience more convenient for management instead of catering to the customer. Customer service is really bad so far. I hope the Ramen is good. I will let you know. Ok, so the manager confronted me at my table about my review. So I told her I wasn't finished with the review. And to be honest, the food was sooo good that I'm editing my review to reflect the whole experience. Did I like having to sit and wait on a bench. NO!!! Would I do it again to get this Garlic Ramen and Garlic Rice?? YESSS!!! Hands down my favorite Ramen in OKC. So, that is as honest as it comes!! read more

I'll start this review by saying that as far as flavor and quality of ramen, this place does a phenomenal job. I love their ramen and will continue to order from here because of it. That being said, the cuisine is only a part of the experience at a restaurant. I have been here several times and the service has never been great. It always seems that the server has too many tables and doesn't know much about what's on the menu. My last visit, I was sat at a table that was unfortunately located in front of the host stand directly in the line of traffic. The server came over and her first words were "Hi, I'm training." This is a personal pet peeve of mine bc it automatically lets you know that even though you are expected to pay the same amount and tip the same amount, your service will probably not be as good. Mind you, she was very kind and personable and being shadowed by someone. The restaurant was and is always incredibly loud. The staff frequently yells something in Japanese every time someone leaves or enters. The idea sounds endearing, but when added with an incredibly noisy restaurant, it is chaotic. We ordered potstickers for an appetizer and the table across from us who sat down after us had their meal before we had our appetizer. I ordered a Diet Coke and my friend a Dr. Pepper. They brought the drinks and they were so watered down, we couldn't even figure out which was which. We asked about it and they said that the flavoring probably needed to be changed. They stated we could either wait 10 minutes for that or choose something else to drink. At that point, we both switched to coke and it turned out being a good choice. In conclusion, the food is great. I will definitely order takeout when I have hankering for ramen. As for the experience in the restaurant, it leaves much to be desired. The staff seem to have too much on their plates and the level of service doesn't match the price they're asking you to pay. My advice? Get your food to-go and walk across the street to eat at the park. read more

Food and service is always great. We ate at the new location on memorial road today. Our servers name was Alyssa. The new location is beautiful and the staff were great we even recognized 2 people from the Edmond location and they stopped to talk to check on us to make sure we were doing ok. I wish I knew their names so I can add that in but I do not unfortunately! We love Tamashii read more

I've never had to write a negative review before and I prefer to never write another, but this review needed to be written. I've never in my life felt so discriminated against, it was like we were invisible to the entire staff. We got seated at our table, and while waiting patiently for 10 minutes for our server, we watched two tables, one to our left and one to our right, get seated after us and immediately have their drink and food orders taken. Meanwhile, not a single person acknowledged us. No water, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. It genuinely felt like we weren't welcome there. After several more minutes of being completely ignored, we finally decided to leave. I don't know what was going on that night, but no paying customer should ever be treated that way. I hope management addresses this, because nobody deserves to feel invisible when simply trying to enjoy a meal with their family. My family and I decided that we will never visit this restaurant again, we felt so embarrassed and disrespected. If I could give this place minus stars I would, it doesn't deserve this one star rating. read more

This is my first time to this location, I've been to the OKC one a bunch of times. A few things are different in this location than the other: 1. You order at the front first, including alcoholic beverages. 2. Once you order, you have to wait to be seated. On a Wednesday evening, around 6:30, there were a few minutes to wait for a table, much better than the OKC location. 3. There's more room in the restaurant. You don't feel crammed at all. 4. Food came out a little quicker than at the original location. This was a fabulous experience. Everyone seemed kind and happy to work here. Of course, the food is amazing. I went with the fried gyoza, garlic friend rice (get it, you'll thank me later) and the garlic ramen, because everything is better with more garlic. If you like spicy, don't forget to order a chili bomb, very flavorful and not burn your mouth off spicy! read more

Food cooked to perfection! Great blend of flavors !! My favorite place to eat in Norman

I have been here many times and each time I am more underwhelmed unfortunately. The food is still ok but it is the atmosphere that really makes the meal uncomfortable. The music is so loud I can barely hear and even when putting in my AirPods on noise cancelling it's overwhelming. I always get the garlic rice and it was really good this visit but the ramen seems to be getting less flavorful every time I am here. Service was alright but the young kids working the day I went seemed pretty new. Lastly, I will always loathe the payment method they have of paying at the table while the server holds the payment tablet. read more

I've dined at their original location in Midtown before and it was always packed there. During my last visit to OKC, I happened to be closer to Edmond so when I saw that Tamashii Ramen was open there, I instantly was craving it. The street this one is located on is so cute! I like how the restaurant is more open and bright. The food is just as delicious as the original location, too. The Garlic Fried Rice doesn't disappoint (I added spicy pork). The Spicy Ramen is my favorite ramen here. The Shishito Peppers were flavorful and super spicy. Our friends ordered the Chashudon and I tasted that and it was good-- I'll definitely order that next time, too. read more

We came here for lunch and highly enjoyed it. Our server was quick to greet us and was bubbly. While we were placing our order, she recommended a "secret menu item" for my fried rice that involved mixing the fried chicken into the rice with a special sauce and QP mayo. It sounded really good so I went with it. We also got the garlic ramen and takoyaki. While we waited for the food to come out, we got to watch some anime that was playing on the TVs in the background. It was calm in the restaurant since they had just opened for the day which was ok with us. When all the food came out, it was delicious. Can't wait to come back! read more

Let me start off by saying that I didn't grow up in Oklahoma, so this type of cuisine is not new to me. I can see how if you didn't grow up with this, that it would be phenomenal. With all due respect, it was absolutely average. Perhaps my friends hyped this place up too much but it failed to deliver anything special. We started off with the gyoza, which was okay. I'd eat them again. The table got two orders of Chashudon and two garlic fried rice. The portion size was rather small for what they were charging. I got an extra portion of meat but when compared to the other, it was maybe two ounces more. The pork was crispy(a lot of skin) and fatty but lacked actual meat which is why I got the extra portion. The truffle in the mayo seemed to be missing as well. So overall is was lackluster. The Garlic fried rice had good flavor but the rice was mushy. For the price and reputation, it was a MISS. Perhaps it was just an off night in the kitchen only they're struggling to keep up with demand so they aren't paying attn to detail. I wouldn't recommend it for the money if you're familiar with Asian cuisine, if not then it'll be fine. read more

Tamashii is my favorite place to have ramen! This cozy eatery has a full bar, plenty of seating, service is always on point and there's different anime playing anywhere you turn. If you're in the city, you can try them downtown or come to Edmond for the same great taste! If you love garlic like me, start with the Ninniku Tonkotsu, as this dish is made with 4 types of garlic and it is perfection. Add a spice bomb for extra flavor! And don't leave without trying the garlic fried rice or the Karaage -- these two are staples! read more

We love Tamashii but have only been the midtown location. We came to the Edmond location today because we bought tickets to the Suzuki chef pop up event. (Probably just a marketing ploy but whateves) we had the wings (meh, they were good but nothing special), the karaage (delicious as always), the spicy ramen (amazing and spicy), and the tonkotsu ramen (good but nothing special). Leslie was a great server. It was super loud and we had trouble carrying on a convo. We are super happy we attended this event. read more

They remodeled! They needed to -- this place is really popular. This is the only place we'll go for Ramen now. Super legit - we came from LA, and were real foodies there, and my son is a Japan-phile. Also the anime projected on all the walls really distinguishes the place for us. (I'm getting better at guessing the shows). I love trying their new creative dishes like the Mazemen (without broth) so tasty -- be sure to get the uncooked (but pasturized) egg -- it makes a huge difference. So soothing! But the problem with trying new things is you get hooked and can't resist ordering it again and never try anything else! Also my son thinks it's fun getting the gimmicky Japanese melon Ramune to drink. Nice that it's offered. Never been a fan of Takoyaki (octopus balls) at any Japanese restaurant ever. What were the Japanese thinking? read more
