After a long flight, I wanted to try my favorite comfort food in the city: ramen! The wait was estimated to be an hour for my party of 3, but it turned out to be about 20-25 minutes. The staff were welcoming and answered any questions we had. The food itself was wonderful, the ramen offered a smoky/peppery taste from the broth. The noodles were springy and a bit more firm than my likely, but overall a good ramen. The sides were great too. I recommend visiting Tamashii ramen, great food at an affordable price!

Chicken Karaage with Lemon and Golden Sauce

My order was wrong and not very good because of it. I'm not a big ramen person to begin with , but my son and daughter in law love it. Of course their place they used to go in Las Vegas they liked better and I have to agree. I ordered the Spicy Ramen and they gave me the Miso soup , not the broth. It was too sweet and thick and took away from the jalapenos and even when I put the Choo Choo Kara in it which was Level 2 it just didn't do it. My son even order a side of Spicy Pork which I added a little too and the sweet corn soup was just too overpowering. We live in Mustang , so I wasn't going to drive all the way back to get it corrected of course. My son got the Spicy Miso Ramen and it was essentially the same as mine except for no jalapenos. My daughter in law got the Ninniku Tonkotsu , which I didn't get to try since she didn't get off of work till late. I had thought about getting that one instead of the Spicy Ramen. We also got an order of Karaage Chicken with Lemon and Golden Sauce. It was pretty good. I wanted 2 of the Chicken Thigh Skewers that was on the menu , but they said they no longer sell those. I would have rather had those than the Karaage Chicken. The cashier seemed to be new and maybe that's why my order got messed up. I did get a 10% Military Discount that she had to call a Manager over to give me. It was still $60.00 and my son and daughter in law both said it's not as good as our place in Las Vegas , but they haven't found a better ramen place to go to yet. They also said they haven't found a really good Chinese place yet , but found a good Thai place.

Swung by to pick up rammen to go. Packaging that kind of entree is challenging so we had low expectations. We couldn't have been more wrong. First of all, the packaging. The rammen travels beautifully. It was a fantastic surprise. We had some karaage, gyoza, spicy miso ramen and the curry rammen. Everything is delicious and flavorful.

The food was really good! We got the Miso Butter Corn Ramen! Added an egg to it, which was great! Our server Rene was great and in a timely manner! The ambiance was nice, the new remodel has turned up the dining experience!

This is my daughter's go to restaurant when she comes home. I've now visited 3 of their locations and each time I get the same great experience! The food is always delicious and service is great.

NINNIKU TONKOTSU

Good ingredients and presentation. It really wants to be legit and the ramen is really close. (We lived in Japan so I consider myself an expert ) The takoyaki was perfect - seasoned batter and double the normal amount of Octopus. Total winner. We got Niniku Tonkotsu as our ramen with kikurage and an extra egg. The soup and all the ingredients, except the noodles and chashu, were excellent. The noodles weren't al dente (too hard) and the chashu was a weird texture because of how thick the cut was, almost jammy inside. The eggs were STELLAR. In the US you normally get cold eggs that just get thrown in your soup. Not here. Sooo good. Our waitress was great and very kind. We sat on the patio which was blessedly cooled. I'd eat here again if I were in the area

We stopped by here after visiting the University of Oklahoma. It was delicious! Our waitress Brittany was very sweet and it was great to chat with her about her experience attending OU. Turns out we were in the same sorority (obviously different years). The restaurant was clean and quiet. It had a nice bar and the decor was well done. The serving sizes were good! We didn't finish all of our food. We had the left overs and it was still delicious!

MISO BUTTER CORN RAMEN

I was passing through the area and my friend recommended this ramen spot. The place was a little dark so it was hard to see and talk to my friend sometimes even though we came early afternoon. However we really enjoyed the ramen, I had the butter corn miso ramen and it was really good. I love how much corn they had in there and the pork was really good. Overall, a really good ramen spot to come with your friends, there are many options other than ramen!

Traveled to OKC for our 1 year wedding anniversary to enjoy some Tamashii. As always, the staff are polite and helpful, the food is tasty, the fried rice is still a must. The ambiance at this location and Norman are different vibes, check out both! Different vibes but not in a bad way, you just definitely want to see both. 10/10 as always-- delish!

Adding a review where I dined at their revamped spot updated in August of 2025, they added a nice new annex with a great bar and also a case with Pokemon and other anime/manga collectibles, figurines and cards on sale. Also new menu items like the tebasaki wings. Great service in addition. Highly recommend checking out the new revamped restaurant!

Love the remodeled restaurant. Spicy ramen was a 10 out of 10 but the service was only about a 6 this visit. We will return.

Thursday night dinner at Tamashii Ramen. The outside of the building is uninspiringly ordinary. The inside of the venue is dimly lit, the menus were so worn that they were difficult to read. It has a dive feel, but the food was good. Thoroughly enjoyed the pot stickers and the Ramen was excellent. We ordered one to share and the server asked if we wanted it split and served in two bowls. Didn't have to ask, a nice service touch. Half order of the Ramen was adequate.

Do you have a kids menu?

I didn't see a kids menu so we ordered a side of plain noodles for our 4 year old and he loved them.

The hanging wish cards, the wood accents, the little booth seating areas, even the lighting all work together. It is one of those places where you catch yourself looking around instead of just staring at your phone while you wait for food. Now the important part. The ramen. This was not some sad, watered down airport food court attempt at ramen. The broth was rich without being overwhelming, the noodles had the right bite, and everything in the bowl actually tasted like it belonged there. The pork was tender, the egg was perfect, and yes, I am now the kind of person who notices if an egg is done right. Even the little details were on point. Clean presentation, good portion sizes, and everything came out hot and fast without feeling rushed. The drinks were solid too, and I may or may not have been tempted to order a second round just to justify sitting there longer. Service was friendly and efficient, we had a fun time with our server. Nothing worse than great food and a weird vibe. Not the case here. If you are someone who thinks ramen is just instant noodles with better marketing, go here and let that belief die. I will absolutely be back. Probably sooner than I should be.

The ramen was not good or tasty to us, so we didn't order it again this time. My notes for last time was that the ramen was flavorless, and watery. This time, today, we ordered the Honeycomb Platter, Takoyaki, Chicken Wings (KBBQ), Pan-Fried Gyoza, and the Smashed Cucumber. Honeycomb Platter 10/10 - always good. Good flavor variety. My favorite is the shrimp. My girlfriends favorite is also the shrimp. Smashed Cucumber 7/10 - was not smashed like in photo. That's OK. Sliced cucumber with a chili vinaigrette. Fresh but a bit spicy. Takoyaki 5/10 - not the best we've had but we are picky. Good for people who are trying Takoyaki for the first time. Nice filling but lame flavor. Chicken Wings (KBBQ) 5/10 - 6 wings, half flats half drum. Tasty, but wing quality is just OK. Tangy KBBQ flavor. Medium crispness. Pan-Fried Gyoza 8/10 - yummy ! Not crispy on bottom but it was still pretty good. Pork inside is juicy and tender. Very cool presentation. We liked the variety of things we ordered this time, but could've done without the wings and extra Takoyaki, as the honeycomb platter comes with 2 balls. We sat upstairs in the honeycomb booths this time. Felt private enough but the acoustics made me feel like everyone could hear everything. Bright and quiet enough for a midday lunch today. Will probs be back another time for some other apps. Thanks

This time we tried to explore the menu more and the chicken was one of the best karaages we've tried here in OKC almost on par with Goro ramen's. Drinks were definitely fun. My husband enjoyed the Spicy Tuna Poke Taco. Special shout out to Oliver! He was a very good server and really helped improved our experience. He knows his stuff and the menu and seemed to genuinely enjoy his time working in this place. Definitely will go back hopefully with our little one awake so he can try the interesting kid's menu.

Service was not bad, though it took asking the host, then waiter, and finally the host again for a high chair before anyone brought one over for our baby. I also ordered the matcha lemonade which was fantastic (drink presentation was great!) but it came at the very end of the meal which was disappointing. I typically order Tonkatsu ramen because it is a classic, and unfortunately, Jinya's tonkatsu is my least favorite compared to other ramen shops. It also didn't come with any bamboo, and came with very little pork. My husband ordered the "red" Tonkatsu which he got 3/10 spiciness and WOW it was SO spicy! Fortunately he tolerated it ok, but 4 spice level would have been inedible, and 2 would have been better... a warning on spice level would have been helpful. They do have a kids menu, would looks like a great option. I ordered the wonton chicken ramen for the kids split and honestly, that was my favorite!! The kids loved it, as well as the goyza and mochi ice cream. Overall, this ramen shop is worth trying, especially with families, but for the price, I would have expected more! Definitely recommend getting the wonton chicken ramen.

If I can convince my wife to try something called the "Naughty Girl Roll"... you already know we're off to a strong start From the moment we walked in, the vibe was exactly what you want in a sushi spot--comfortable, relaxed, and not trying too hard to be something it's not. Just good energy and a place you can actually enjoy your meal. Our server Juan? Spot on. Attentive without hovering, checked in at all the right times, and kept things moving smoothly. Let's Talk Food Naughty Girl Roll This is the one. Tempura shrimp, avocado, and cream cheese, topped with baked salmon, spicy mayo, sweet sauce, masala, and scallions. Rich? Yes. Over-the-top? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely. This is the roll you order when you want to convert someone into a sushi fan. Ikura (Salmon Roe) This one was all mine--and that's probably for the best. If you're into that briny pop and clean ocean flavor, this hits. If not... no shame in sitting this one out. Norwegian Mackerel A really well-balanced dish. Cooked just right, paired with bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and white rice. Clean, flavorful, and a nice break from the heavier rolls. Bento Box My wife's choice--and honestly, a smart one. This was an impromptu celebration due to family being in town for the holidays and my daughter's birthday. The establishment offers a promotion of one free hour in a medium room (which accommodates up to 11 people) with a minimum $100 spend. I asked whether we could pay the difference to use a large room since we had 12 guests, but was told that was not an option. We were happy to proceed regardless and paid for one hour in the large room. When our paid hour ended, some guests had left. I asked if we could then move to a smaller room and use the complimentary hour. I was told no rooms were available, but that we were welcome to remain in the same room for the additional hour. We stayed and were careful to leave exactly at the one-hour mark. Unfortunately, when I received the check from Tristan, it included charges for two hours of the karaoke room. When I questioned this, his response was extremely rude, stating that "I had a choice not to stay." This did not reflect the conversation I had with our waitress. I explained that I was disappointed this was being disputed, especially considering our approximately $500 tab, but the issue was not resolved respectfully. While we did enjoy ourselves overall, the customer service was very disappointing. Sierra was polite and genuinely tried to de-escalate the situation, which was appreciated. However, due to Tristan's complete disrespect, and handling of the situation, we will not be returning. The food was just ok, the derive was slow (we were told there was only 3 servers out of 8) but we were there more for the experience, which was obviously skewed because of the poor customer service.
