Got my kitten in to be seen in a timely fashion, were kind and had a good experience!

I recently took my new cat here as a new patient and we had a great experience. I took her in as a stray and they helped me find a chip, which I was able to use to contact the owner who let me keep the cat because they couldn't take care of her anymore. At our initial appointment, they gave my cat a once over to make sure she was in good health. They scanned her for a chip and gave me the chip number. They trimmed her nails and told me to contact the owner and try to get her home, and that they couldn't do any other work on her since I didn't own her. Once the owner officially relinquished her to me, I made another appointment to get her shots updated. I emailed her vet records to Four Corners and they told me she only needed one shot updated, which they took care of at her follow-up. They gave me a paper with an estimate for all kinds of things - bloodwork, scans, other shots. The vet tech explained to me that they didn't think we needed to do anything other than the one shot that my girl needed. I appreciate their honesty, they were not trying to upcharge me or perform unnecessary procedures on my cat. I've seen two different vets here and both were very friendly. They explained everything in depth and made sure to answer my questions. The front desk people are also very friendly. They know their regulars and check people in efficiently. They don't have any attitude, neither in person nor over the phone. I plan on remaining a patient here as long as possible. This vet practice is professional, friendly, and honest. read more

I can't say enough good things about Four Corners and Dr. Jonathan. I started going here when my now departed cat, Dinah, was having massive dental issues. A co-worker recommended he take in Dinah because I'd gotten the run-around from other vets and felt like I was being taken advantage of. He took me on and Dinah got the most amazing care. It was such a huge weight lifted that she was feeling better and the cost was manageable. Even when she had issues with her kidneys, a special diet helped her live the best in her last year of life. I now take my other cat here and they take such good care of him. Chester doesn't like it much, but I admire how well they work with him even when my big baby is scared. He also had dental work done and again amazing care. A big thank you for giving me the best vet experience I've ever had. 1st red flag was the doctor was rude and condescending to the new Technician. She spoke to him with such contempt. She cut me off and spoke over me several times and commented that I smelled of pickled vinegar. I asked why she was ordering blood work for my cat that had something stuck in his throat the reason I came. She must really think I'm stupid. The first estimate for treatment was over $900 and the 2nd estimate over $600 and that is before the cost of extracting what's lodged in his throats. I called a few days later and was met with not so suttle hostility when asking about the $84 exam fee and cost of procedures moving forward. I was stonewalled and told only the doctor could answer my questions but I couldn't speak with the doctor because....It seemed to me that the staff answering the phone was use to these types of calls and was very very "UNHELPFUL" intentionally. Wanted me off the phone. In between the Karen behavior, stonewalling, Up Pricing, rudeness to staff and clients why would I ever go back there. If they were honestly believing in the service they provide, your think they'd be more forthcoming and friendly. Stone cold, we got your money now F off. read more

I feel compelled to balance things out! We escaped a vet that just saw dollar signs and not our cats. We are devoted to our kitties and want the best for them and when the last Vet said--I don't know about those kind of cats but we should do an ultrasound, I had had it. Four Corners doesn't immediately jump to the most expensive option available , they take time to listen and get to know you and your pet. The front desk staff and the doctors were so caring and interested. I'm just so grateful to have found this practice and can't see ever needing to change again. Dr. John has been our Vet for Sadie. The entire clinic was kind and thoughtful when her time came. I picked up her remains today and again the staff were very kind and thoughtful. And, the presentation was nice: everything in a nice bag - a cedar chest within a velvet bag, a sincere card and a paw print. I bawled on the way there remembering out little girl, I continued to cry upon the thoughtfulness and caring way her final adventure was handled. read more

Today around 6:30pm, my boyfriend and I were driving to the dog park with our four dogs, when we had seen two loose running dogs running across the road. We had pulled over to try to capture both of the dogs, to prevent them from getting hit by a car, which they almost were several times. We had called greenhill and they could not take the dog in because they were closed, we had been called animal control, and was put on hold for 45 minutes, when they finally answered they told me that there was no officers on duty today. We then had no idea what to do with this dog. Without knowing his behavior around other dogs we didn't want to risk putting our four dogs in danger and wanted to get him home to his family. We were then right next to four corners veterinary clinic, and went to their front door while they were closing. The front desk people told me to shew and go away because they were closed. They began to ignore me and act like I wasn't there. A few minutes later a vet tech came out and I asked if they had water that I could give this overheated dog. They told me that they didn't have any water, and that they had nothing to put water in. come on really?!?! Where is your love for animals four corners veterinary clinic?!?! I'm not happy out all with how they treated me, and how they proceeded to act to this poor dog that went who knows how long without water. You're a vet! How could you not have water. I don't care if you have to put it in a old soup container or pour water out of a personal water bottle! Where is the love?!?! I don't recommend this place at all. This vet has been notorious for poor mannerisms, especially the front desk and the little blonde assistant. Every time I call the clinic and ask a question the front desk ladies do not like, I am belittled and yelled at. I have seen customers come in and be ignored for 5-10 minutes while the front desk very slowly does their job and when they express their frustration, the front desk lady storms off and starts complaining in the back! The last straw for me, however, was last night. I was on the phone with my cousin when she was trying to find help with a dog she just found. She approached the hospital and was blatantly ignored by the people who could clearly see her. Then, when the decided to look up, they said they could not help her. She was asking for a quick microchip scan and some water for the dog. A couple of minutes later, another person comes out and apparently scans the dog, but refuses to give the dog water. -By the way, I heard all of this and it was about 90 degrees outside. They were still there, and they could have offered just a couple of minutes to the poor dogs hydration. I understand that the clinic was closed, but this is unacceptable. And the cherry on top? The manager BLATANTLY lies under a review posted by my cousin saying they offered "a bag of water" to the dog. They did not!!!! They are lying through their teeth! I have never been more disgusted with a business in so long. Just admit you are wrong, apologize, and try to be better! I would have given them another chance if they had addressed it and not lied. The sad thing is, most of the staff is amazing and kind. It just takes a few bad apples to leave a sour taste in your mouth. read more

Today I really feel like I was ripped off. They brought my dog into the office and I had to sit in the car due to covid 19. Dog has been very ill for a weelk. EXACTLY fiver minutes later got a call from the office saying there was nothing they could do because they can't actually see my dogs symptoms. "Perhaps you can take a video and send it to our landline," I was told (whatever that means!). Anyways, paid 71 dollars to get my dog back. Was misquoted 25 dollars cheaper over the phone for an exam. Also, they told me I was receiving a higher "new patient" price when I have brought other animals there. Staff was extremely rude and short with me. They sure were quick to take my money though!!! read more

Four Corners does amazing with my reactive dog. Every other vet in town makes her take drugs or be sedated for simple procedures. Four Corners has never once asked us to do that, and they never complain about her. My dog Opal absolutely loves them and they take amazing care of her. They have a way with her, and I couldn't be more thankful for that! Also the only vet in town that doesn't charge an arm and leg for meds/visits/procedures. I've been bringing my Italian greyhound to this vet for a year and for months now EVERY SINGLE MONTH (sometimes more). She's 17 1/2 and it's expensive to maintain an older animal as you can all imagine. All had been going well until she had to have an ultrasound. I did not like the fact that they had my dog sitting in a crate for 6 and 1/2 hours before the ultrasound team even arrived. Yes I was upset. When I was asked in a survey BY FOUR CORNERS, how my experience was I gave them my review. Then I was asked (again by them) how they can make things better. I then explained what I thought. That was followed by an email from the "office manager" Hannah about how I need to behave and how I need to do this and that. This went back and forth with several messages of me telling Hannah that if she had something to say to me she should have said something and that attacking clients based on their reviews is very unprofessional. Her response to that was to ban me from coming back. Then I tried to make a PAID appointment to speak with the owner and vet Dr Jesse and I was told that it was her choice to ban me and if I come back I will be trespassed and meet with the police. This is all after me being unhappy with the way they handled the ultrasound. I'm a 52 year old woman who has NEVER been in any kind of trouble with ANYONE. These people are ridiculous after treating my dog for so long and taking thousands of dollars and then treating me like a common criminal. What an absolute disgrace. Shame on all of you. read more

I visit Four Corners regularly with my various foster cats. They are so kind, helpful, and understanding. They can work with my shy foster cats and will even see feral cats with advanced notice. I am always impressed with their service and dedication to making sure I understand what the plan is for my kitties. read more

Booo.... Great reviews but found out the practice is closed and not accepting any new patients even for emergency... NOTE: My rating is NOT based on service. They do NOT accept any new "customers" or "clients" so there is no way to actually provide a review. They were nice enough on the phone and I wanted to make sure that my rating doesn't reflect on the services they provide to existing or current customers. The point is if they don't take ANY new clients then the review is accurate because new customers looking for a vet need to know they are a closed practice now. Do NOT take your animals here! They will try to up charge you after they give you an estimate. I brought my new puppy here two weeks ago after adopting him from Wiggly Tails, he needed to get his ears checked and it was under Wiggly Tails account because they were paying for it. I decided to schedule him to get 4 vaccinations two weeks later (which was today) and I asked them to give me an estimate which they gave me in writing and is still on my fridge. The estimate was for $180 for 4 vaccines and a vaccination exam appointment. When I got to the appointment today, I asked them to go over the vaccines he was supposed to get and to give me a confirmation of cost. They said he was scheduled for only 3 vaccines and the cost was $225! I looked at the estimate and they were trying to charge me for a new client appointment which is $100 plus only 3 of the 4 vaccines I thought he was getting. After I told them I had the estimate from two weeks ago they asked "leadership" what could be done and came back with a new estimate for $200. I told them I wouldn't continue with the appointment unless they honored their first estimate which they said they couldn't do. So we left and I will never be going back there. I have been a client with them for a year and my two cats saw vets there as well. They just lost so much money because they tried to weasle me into paying more for that appointment and wouldn't honor their first estimate. Think how much business they would have gotten from me (as someone with three animals) if they had just honored what they said! What dummies. I went to this vet because they're right by my house. I took my 15 year old cat in for losing weight. On the way there the carrier came apart and he started freaking out jumping around in the car. I ran into the office asking for help and the lady went with me, and by then of course it was raining. She stayed with me as I tried to pull my cat out from under the seat. I was so afraid he was going to jump out and run away and get lost! but with her help we got him in to the carrier. Next came the exam. The new owner of 4 Corners Vet is Dr. Jon and boy oh boy have things changed and not for the better after Dr.Tom sold it to him. He must have a monster debt load from schooling and then buying the practice, then his wife graduated vet school more student loans most likely. Prices and weird charges have escalated galore. Went to make an appointment for our 3 dogs for the annual check up by phone and was surprised by a request for a $100 deposit, WTF ! This was their regular vet up until that moment when Mama heard me ask them to repeat the request and shouted to me to tell them 2 words and it wasn't Lets Dance. Dr. Jon doesn't remember his patients, I would have to remind him each time about Boo Boo's special issues. You guy's done irked us bad and you're not going to get any more of our money and with Dogs we spend a lot every year without being gouged. Best of luck to you. read more

We saw Dr. Tom for years and loved him. Dr. Jonathan is ok but no where near as caring or experienced. No true compassion is given by anyone there. Prices are now astronomical. People that had multiple pets could afford Dr. Tom and get exceptional care. We can't even afford one pet here. So so very sad. read more

I have never encountered a more arrogant, full of herself vet in my life! I'm a homecare worker and had to take my client and her foster dog in today and I cannot believe the level of rudeness we experienced from vet Tara Whalen. She argued and argued with us, basically saying the entire ordeal was my clients fault. She was beyond condescending. If your work isn't satisfactory, maybe you should take a step back and look at yourself and your work! She clearly doesn't know how to stich up a dog properly and securely the first time. We had to take said dog to an additional vet because her work was so horrible. If you feel like you want to take your animals here, I wouldn't. Or request the other vet in the office. Horrible! We took our dog here after a stellar recommendation from a close friend. She's been going here forever. We had been told that our doggy needed her teeth cleaned. The vet came in to the exam room and didn't great us or our dog. He grab her snout and started scraping her teeth with some kinda instrument. He was needlessly rough with her. Yes, she was squirming but it seemed an appropriate response for how he was handling her. We stopped exam there, took our dog and walked out. I can't imagine how ANYONE could use this vet office. This is the veterinary clinic that I use. At one time they were closed to taking any new clients because they were full to the brim. I kept checking in with them ( because they have an excellent reputation) at intervals every year or so until one day they said they had new openings. I'm very happy with them Dr. Williams is my vet and he's very kind and always takes the time to call you personally with any questions or concerns you might have. We see Dr. Jessie Williams and she has a very calm, confident manner. Our dog seems very comfortable with her. This clinic has several times responded to special needs that we had. One time, we were taking care of our daughter's dog who developed a cough. We had no records for him and they quickly obtained them from the vet out of town by calling and getting them faxed to their office. They treated the illness appropriately and even followed up with the vet and us. We highly recommend this vet and clinic. read more

November 4, 2017: I had lunch with a friend today who became choked up and emotional telling me this: Last week, he came upon a cat in the road who had been hit. He pulled over, cradled the cat into his car, googled the nearest vet and it was Four Corners, He pulled in, jumped out, went in and asked for help. The receptionist denied him any services. He begged for a vet to come look, offered to pay for the services for this cat he had found, and when denied asked a vet assistant or vet tech could come out. (He saw two of them standing by). Receptionist Rachett (you do get the reference to Nurse Rachett from One Flew Over the Coukoo's Nest) denied again. My friend was overcome with disbelief, anger and frustration. He yelled at the office and stormed out, (and lives with the embarrassment of having lost his cool in the pursuit of passion for the life of an injured animal) to find the stray cat DEAD in his truck. He wept emotionally, drove home, buried the cat and tried to comprehend how a veterinarian clinic could so callously deny services to a good Samaritan who offered to pay for services for a cat in mortal peril. Perhaps he can so reconcile. I cannot, will not, and commit to sharing this tragic tale to all of my animal loving community. SHAME ON YOU FOUR CORNERS VETERINARY CLINIC. read more

This used to be the best vet office around. Reasonable prices that didn't break the bank. Usually able to get an appointment the same or next day. I am not sure what's going on, but it is very different. Prices have sky rocketed over the past year. I'm shocked by how much. Doctors seem to come and go. Called on Monday for an appt. Got a return call Tuesday. First opening was for the following Monday. Seems a bit of a wait. Was told if I needed to have my animal seen sooner then I should go to the emergency vet. Not what I wanted to hear. Very disappointed. read more

I don't know why the rating has gone so far south since the change of ownership. I was very happy with the care my dog received here before, and I still am. Now my dog usually sees Dr Claire, who's a very kind and competent vet. My dogs self-chewing issues have resolved since Dr Claire suggested she start a trial of a hydrolized protein diet. Recently she saw Dr John, who identified her limping issue without my telling them (it's intermittent, and I had forgotten). I also appreciated that, as we discussed her symptoms, etc, he gave a play by play of her behavior as she sat inside with them. The change in protocol since covid-19 is hard for me--it's hard to hand my dog over and let her be treated out of my sight. Dr John's demeanor was reassuring, as was the kind vet tech who came out for her and coaxed her in. read more

This vet clinic is using covid as a way to RIP people off. They make you wait in the car while they do a 5 minute exam on your animal. Then they send a technician out to collect more money than they quoted over the phone. Try to fight it and the owner will write ridiculous letters saying you are a bad pet owner. Fantastic vet clinic! My poor senior cat was failing and we were concerned that his days were numbered. After Dr. Claire gave him IV fluids and tempted him with very flavorful food; our cat has turned around and back to his old self by being managed on prescription food. The prices for services are fair and less than many other clinics. We will be back! read more

This vet clinic is fantastic. They are extremely knowledgeable, kind, caring and compassionate. I highly recommend them.

They tripled their prices. I called about a first appointment they said $52. When I walked out, the vet did ABSOLUTELY nothing but want to make more appointments, they charged me $68. There was no discussing this with them. They had no reason to do this except that they knew that they could and that I could do nothing. I cannot give them a 1 star because they did nothing but try to get me to spend more money. I liked them a few years ago and is always where I took my pets but now I'm going to look for a new place ---over a $12. overcharge and their trying to get me to buy buy buy. No thanks. I've been taking my animals here for quite a while. I took my cat Lou there for treatment of constipation. Long story short it turns out he had kidney disease. They said we can get him on an IV and pump him full of electrolytes for full day and a half. Or you can put him down. Decided to see how the IV treatment went. They texted us a picture of Lou and how well he was responding to the treatment, he was eating drinking and using the restroom so they say. Went to pick him up the next day at 5. They ladies in front were talking about how well he was doing. One of the ladies went to put him in my cat carrier so I don't know how he looked before. When we got home 10 minutes later my cat couldn't walk. We though maybe it was because of the bandage on his leg from the IV. He seemed to have gotten worse later that day because he had no function of absolutely anything, his chin was also tucked down. The vet was closed by that time and the next day was Saturday. So we tried to call only to get an emergency vet number. It had been a whole 20 hours later still wasn't eating or drinking and still couldn't move or lift his head. He was suffering. I took him to the emergency vet, they stated that he had a very low potassium deficiency and that's why his chin was tucked down. We could do another IV and see if it helps which if it did he wouldn't last very long. We ended up putting him down that day. He was home less than 24 hours. I don't know how that doctor did an exam on my cat before releasing him saying he was doing good. I don't know how the lady that put him in the kennel put him in there when there was OBVIOUSLY something seriously wrong with my cat. No one said anything I should look out for. I didn't even get to see the vet nor did he call me that day to tell me anything. I believe it was a failure on the Vet and his assistants as well. I will never take another animal here. read more

I have used this Four Corners Vet with Dr. Tom Fincel for over 20 years. It is by far the most honest, friendly, caring staff I have ever met. Prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this vet to anyone. I'm not sure what the other person was complaining about as she lives in Portland & this vet is in Eugene. But after looking at her ratings on yelp I see she has never rated anyone over a 1 star & has found this format her way for insulting people & feeling powerful. read more

We have gone here forever. I know Dr. Tom had us spoiled. They don't always know what they are doing and they charge premium prices. They certainly don't know how to run an office. For those of us that try to help the strays, we don't feel we can afford to do so anymore. Dr. Tom always helped us out by keeping his prices affordable. My family and I have been going to Four Corners Veterinary Clinic for 20+ years. Dr. Tom Fincel was the best vet in Eugene before he retired. Once Tom retired we got passed on to one of the newer doctors and it has been an extremely upsetting change. They aren't as compassionate and seem to be there for the money rather than there to help animals. Their prices have more than doubled the regular cost and tripled the long time client cost that Tom gave us. Not only have their jacked the prices up, but they also try to push you to pay even more for extra procedures that aren't necessary. They don't say what is necessary vs recommended. They just want your money. I went for a second opinion and estimate at at a different highly rated clinic and it was more than $300 cheaper and they let me know what options they recommend vs those that will be necessary. On top of all that, even though my appt. was for a set time I had to wait over an hour to be seen, and I wasn't even seen until I said I was going to leave because it was getting ridiculous and then they saw me within 5 minutes. It's unfortunate that Tom made such an amazing name for this clinic and it has taken a turn for the worst. We will not be returning there for services. read more

I must share my experience about this Clinic. I brought my German Shepherd to FCVC and for the first year of my dogs life had a good experience with their services. I would NOT recommend trusting this office with any serious issues to your animal. In October 2014 I Brought my dog in to her regular vet Dr. williams, because I feared she may have a broken front leg. They came to the conclusion after miss reading an X-RAY that she only had a hematoma and to just keep her down for five days which we did. The leg just seemed broken to me so I tried to get her back in for a second look. as usual they were booked full and could not get her right in. Several days later when we got our dog in we saw a sub in for our regular vet. She was shocked they had sent our dog home and immediatly sent us to the fracture clinic in Springfield. The fracture Surgeon made several comments about how messed up her bones are now due to the mistake made by our vet. It took two different surgeries, enough titanium plates and screws to build a car from, and more money then we paid for my wife's car to save her leg. It has set our lives back several months to care for a dog that must be kept calm and down until now. Here is the part that caused me to write this. NEVER a call from Dr. Williams or anyone at his clinic to even say sorry or how is my dog. When I called to transfer her records I was not even asked why!
