They continually raise their prices on the injection I get once a month for my cat's arthritis! It started out 99.00 a month then the next time I took him in it was 108.00, then the next month they informed me that there would be a tech fee of 32.00 per month on top of the 108.00. They just did an expansion and remodel, so I guess they wanted all of the pet parents to fund that, I decided that was a bridge too far for me, and I feel forced to take me 2 cats who are 16 now, elsewhere! So, after receiving four texts and ten emails within a week from WAC, I had had enough. I called and told them I didn't appreciate the nagging, that I was aware of the upcoming appointments. I also told them that the outrageous estimate they sent me for procedures outside the appointments for my pets rabies vaccinations were shocking. I told her since they couldn't understand that I wanted to get the vaccines so they wouldn't lapse and would have to schedule visits for everything else at another time due to being called in to work that I would have to take my animals elsewhere from now on.) She started to lecture me on their policies and I told her to cancel their appointments and that we wouldn't be back. Earlier in the week, I called to discuss the estimates I had received for the upcoming visits. The totals were shocking! I mentioned that I didn't want to see a particular male vet because I wasn't happy with how he had dealt with my cat the previous visit. The young man I spoke with basically went off on me about their policies. They had padded in a tranquilizer on the estimate...really? My cat wasn't the problem. FAR TOO PRICEY! I found a lovely vet that same day who gently spoke to my pets and was wonderful! The cost of the rabies vax was almost half what this group wanted to charge. The visits for both cats was about 1/5 the cost of WAC. Oh, and to the snippy young man who answered the phone earlier in the week and snapped at me when I questioned the estimate total-how dare you speak to a customer as you did? I have every right to know why you are recommending items for my beloved pets! Their attitude here is AWFUL!! Try The Ark (very gentle people!), try VetCo (very gentle, lovely woman who truly loves animals! And, very kind support staff! Also, very affordable! WORST VET EVER. charged me hundreds for treatments I didn't need, missed RINGWORM that has now contaminated the entire household (including our other cat and the humans), and sent me home with a cream that burned half of my kittens face off ( they charged us an expensive emergent fee for the return fee to address that, the issue THEY CAUSED, only to tell us to stop using the cream and not give us anything to help her). My dog is a rescue and difficult. He's reactive to other dogs and incessantly barks at staff. He's never done well at the vet. Where other vets have taken an aggressive approach and been dismissive to his symptoms; the staff at Willakenzie are beyond patient and accommodating. They take time to make sure he's treated and do their best to calm him. Each time I take him he is a little more at ease, and that's saying a lot. Highly recommended. read more

The facility was clean, wait time was minimal, and customer care was refreshing! The patience, kindness, respect, and caring they showed my dog, Gus, was surprising and incredible. They treated Miki and me with professional warmth, expert skill and were happy to answer all my questions and educate me about the entire process. We were kept well updated during the surgical experience. Despite the restrictions mandated by the Covid 18 pandemic, the staff were easily able to communicate their genuine investment in Miki's well-being and were highly effective in connecting and communicating with me. I recently took my elderly dog here after switching vets to get a second opinion on some dental work. Their clinic is small but their customer service is amazing. I felt very heard and they took great care of my 15 year old senior pup. I really appreciated that they were honest with me about what I could do for my dog in her final stages instead of blindly telling me to just do this or that surgery. I originally came in to talk about getting some teeth removed but after assessing her they realized the surgery would be too hard on her and I agreed. Another vet didn't even take into consideration her age and just pushed an outrageous quote on me. I hope my future visits continue to be 5-stars because it's hard to find good vet care these days. read more

DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER...!!! This veterinary office is extraordinary with interpersonal skills as well as bedside manners. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed with warm friendly smiles. They greeted me and knew who I was based on the time frame and my dog. (That means they were prepared for their appointments) So, refreshing to be welcomed in such a manner as other places seem to keep their heads down and you're always waiting to be checked in after their ten min. phone call. I recently met with Dr. Stephen Karis and am so pleased with his qualities. His very humble deminer in explaining his findings as well as his approach to handling Lord Ollie was exceptional. Dr. Karis as well as his CVT Heidi took their time with asking questions, answering questions as well as doing the exam and I feel that they both practice with integrity. This I find great value in; as your pet should always be number one. Going forward all my pets will receive treatment and GP appoints as well with Dr. Karis. When you can go to an appointment, not feel rushed, and are being heard what more can you ask for. Thank you to the whole staff as you are tremendously awesome. read more

I've seen a lot of negative reviews with Willakenzie and frankly I was shocked. I had just moved to eugene in September and my cat had a bad case of fleas so I scheduled a new animal appt for about a month out. Upon arrival they were so kind and understanding that this was a tad stressful for my cat and I. My cat is almost 16yrs old and does not like leaving the house a whole lot. The vet and vet tech treated her with the upmost kindness. Fast forward a couple weeks my cat had gotten an upper respiratory infection from some home flea spray I bought at petco. It was a pretty bad infection so I took her back in for an emergency visit that they hardly had time to for but they still took care of my cat. They noticed that from her first visit to her next that she had lost some weight and they were worried she had some underlying problem and suggested blood work. I had gotten the blood work done and found out that she had stage three kidney failure and I was absolutely devastated. I brought her in that week to learn the demo of at home iv for my kitty and they were extremely kind to our situation. My cat is my best friend, I was a wreck while learning all of this. Crying in the vets office. But they handled everything with patience and compassion. I let them know that money really is a struggle for me and all of this stuff can be really expensive and they helped me workout and breakdown all the cost and are always very kind when I ask for the price ahead of time so I can plan everything out a little bit. They always answer my questions and give extra explanation if I'm confused at all. Willakenzie vet office is the best and so is their staff. Professional, kind, and understanding! read more

Have brought my dog Cisco here multiple times and have always received top notch care. He even seems to remember the techs that come out to get him from the car since he will literally climb over me into their arms! Cisco has been there for monitoring of his diabetes, general checkups, and also for a dental cleaning. I also brought my cat Philbert to them for a general checkup. Dr. Tara Whalen is the main vet that we see and she is truly an amazing, knowledgeable, and compassionate person. We have also seen Dr. Stacy DeWall who was also very friendly, kind, and trustworthy. Every person I have had the pleasure of talking to from the people answering the phones, the techs coming to pick up the pets from the cars, to the vets have been so great and it is clear they all are working in the right field (so loving and gentle with each animal plus always take the time to answer any questions I have!). At one point I brought up a continuous glucose monitoring implant device to Dr. Whalen since Cisco was needing consistent monitoring and I felt bad about having to do painful ear pokes. Even though they hadn't done it before Dr. Whalen took the time to consult colleagues at other practices, diligently research the device, and we were able to use it to get glucose curve data without all the pokes. I really appreciate how each person has gone above and beyond for both my boys and me! This morning I called first thing at 8am asking if Willakenzie could add an additional puppy to a current exam that was scheduled for one of my clients who purchased a dog from me. It was an emergency as I needed a health certificate for a puppy leaving to London in the following day. I made it extremely clear that I was not the client who initially had the appointment and this was an add on for me the breeder. The receptionist put me on hold to check if this was possible and came back and said no problem. I was very clear and precise that I was not the original client and this was a second puppy. Upon arrival the receptionist said she was no longer able to offer a health certificate to the second puppy and "so sorry it was busy this morning and I was confused." No offer to help and make the problem right. She gave me a sticky note with 5 other vets to call. I called about 20 vets with no avail. So I am sitting here with no appointment and a simple "sorry." It's extremely frustrating as I would have called first thing in the morning to vets offices to get an exam. I am left scrambling to figure something out before a holiday weekend. I would highly not recommend using them as their reception staff is unable to listen to very clearly stated directions. Also unfortunate there was no offer to make the situation right. read more

I've always had great service with Marilyn Waters and Jon Duncan. Dr. Duncan even went so far as to track down vaccination records from a rural vet in another county. This month I had to make an end-of-life appointment for my dog and then needed to move up the appointment during the weekend. The staff were very accommodating and compassionate. We decided to try a new vet due to adopting our cat from CRAN and they were on the list that offers a free first exam when you adopt from CRAN. So we called and scheduled. When we went into our appt, we mentioned that our cat actually just a bowel movement that had some reddish/pink in it and were a little concerned. We showed them a pic and they said they wanted to give her a de-wormer in case she had parasites, since we also have a baby... and probiotics. I said I actually just got antibiotics and they recommended theirs over the ones I got. So I said ok. Then they came in with the bill. $75 for the exam was included in my over $100 bill... I said oh actually, the exam was suppose to be free since we adopted from CRAN... She said oh yes, it's not anymore because your cat ended up having a problem. Uhm WHAT?! I wouldn't have mentioned the poo had I known it would have changed my bill to now no longer be a free exam! I could have taken our cat to our prior vet and paid there! But because I brought up a concern, that did NOT cause any "extra" on the exam portion.. now I pay for the exam?? I understand paying for the treatment. But that's totally ridiculous. You should at least let people know when they schedule the "first free exam" that it will not be free if you bring up concerns to the dr!! Incredibly unprofessional and makes it seem like just another business trying to get whatever money that they can. Needless to say, we will continue our care at Santa Clara vet. Willakenzie Animal clinic was amazing before Dr Duncan retired. He was always kind and understanding! However, the new vets are rude and disrespectful . I have had some health issues with my cat and was trying to prioritize my options based on cost and outcome. In doing so, The vet said "would you hesitate if this was a person?" I was shocked when she said this and chose to ignore her rudeness, thinking perhaps it came out wrong. However, now fast forward to a couple of months, And I have a follow up scheduled, I arrived 10 minutes early only to be told "I had cancelled the appointment"! Clearly, I had not since I was there and asked if I could wait. I was told "no, the doctors would not have time, I need to make another appointment"! No apology, no effort to resolve their mistake! I asked for my records for both pets and left. My animals have been patients for over 15 years! Unbelievable that they treat a long term client so poorly! read more

I've taken my dog to Dr. Duncan and his team for the last year and I've been so impressed! Dr Duncan is excellent with my anxious 65 lb pittie. They have made accommodations to help my dog feel comfortable (they provided many many treats/hot dogs/ cream cheese)-- even meeting us at a side door so my dog can avoid the rest of the pets in the waiting room as this helps her anxiety. His staff is friendly and knowledgable. They regularly go above and beyond for their four legged friends. They even emailed me recommendations after an office visit.
