I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company due to their lack of professionalism. I reserved a pickup with them and paid in full, only to receive a call two days later informing me that, because it was a holiday, they would need to charge me an additional $125. At that point, it was too late for me to find another mover or coordinate my timeline again with my building, so I reluctantly agreed to the additional charge. To make matters worse, they called me again later and said they had decided to close on the date I had booked, and they would no longer be able to provide the service. Moving is already a highly stressful experience, and dealing with such an unprofessional company only made things worse. Their last-minute changes forced me to scramble to adjust all my plans, adding unnecessary stress and frustration. If you're planning a move, I strongly advise avoiding this company. They are unreliable and unprofessional, and their actions can completely derail your plans at the last minute. This company should be removed from uHaul/MovingHelp's referral listing. They advertised evening availability specifically, so I booked a 5pm slot. Received a voicemail next day asking what time, which I had already sent through the official system. Got a text message, no introduction, "Can I call you later?" To which I replied yes, but again had already sent the info. A couple more days go by, then they surprise me with only 3pm availability. When I insisted, they tried to get me to cancel from my end, then moved my date to 7/8 without my authorization. I booked a truck and movers on the other side based on Four Brothers' stated availability. This was for a large move where I am traveling over 100 miles. Now I will have to reschedule vendors and make a very expensive cancellation as a result of their negligence. Not a professional company, beware if you need reliable timing. read more

These guys were great. They showed up on time, and did everything really well. I was very happy with the service provided.

First let me start with the positives. The two movers who showed up to move my items were very nice. Ok, now with the more critical part. I hired Four Brothers Moving Solution through U-haul's ubox service. I ordered three boxes(crates) to move out of my two bedroom apartment. I had already cleared out about 40% of the items in the unit on my own into previous ubox crates, but needed assistance with the remainder of the big furniture, boxes and random items. When arranging the scheduling I was told that four brothers would be at my condo by 9am, with the crates to start the move(my building has restrictive moving rules and I had to reserve the elevator and could only use it between the hrs of 9-5). At 9:30 am on the day of the move I was notified that ubox does not open till nine so they would not be there till after 10am. At 10:15 am the movers arrived in one truck with only one crate and two movers. They said that they would fill this crate up and go back for the second and third. I was alarmed but did not start to panic at this moment. The two moves went up into my unit, assessed the move and began wrapping up furniture and slowly bringing it down my elevator. I live in downtown Oakland and they would just leave items on the curb outside the crate while returning up to the apartment to bring more stuff down. Who knows if anything was taken, but at that point I decided to sit downstairs by the crate to keep guard. It took over two hrs to fill the first crate, at which point they left to drop it off at ubox and pick up the second one. An hr and 45 mins later they arrived with the second crate. At this point I was pretty panicked about the time, but one of the movers felt he could get the rest of the stuff into this second crate. Not even close! The second crate moved faster this time because I was now and unpaid mover on my own move. As we were closing in around 3:30 and my elevator access would be cut off at five, I insisted that we remove everything from my condo and stage it in my parking garage in case it took the same about of time to return with the second crate(they had to take a lunch break, which I totally get, so it did take as long). While the movers dropped off the second crate and went to get the third and final crate, they called me and told me that U-Haul would not let them take the third crate because their ubox facility closes at 4pm(it was now 4:10). I asked to speak to the ubox manager and pleaded my case that I had to be out today, all my items were out of my apartment left in my garage for the final crate and I couldn't move them back into my unit. The manager agreed to let them take the last crate and drop it off at the facility after hrs(at the time of writing this I have absolutely no idea what the status of that third crate is as it has not yet arrived to my new home). The mover returned after 5pm with the final crate. We all worked as fast as we could to load it and get the job done. I was exhausted and in a lot of pain from taking part in this move that I thought I paid for. I tipped the movers for their time and effort, as I don't really believe the fault was theirs, but with whomever scheduled the move. So here is my main issues and questions for Four Brothers Moving solutions: 1. Why did you just send two movers for a 2 br, 3 crate job? 2. Why would you only bring one crate at a time, thus causing the day to go way long? 3. Have you actually ever taken a ubox order before? It seemed to me that when scheduling you should have know the time ubox opened and closed and adjusted the order to fit those restrictions. 4. Was I suppose to be one of the movers? Honestly, I have never hired movers before and usually do it myself and with friends. So I honestly didn't know if I was expected to participate in the move or not? But I worked my butt off that day. 5. At the end of the day when I went to go do a final clean out of my apartment there were multiple wall scuffs from the moving and one light switch panel was broken. Not a big issues, but also not reported to me. read more

A previous reviewer described these men as logistics ninjas; they are that and more. My daughter had hired Four Brothers to move contents out of a storage unit and a van into two U Haul pods. Dante & Pierre arrived on schedule, were prepared, professional, and went straight to work. They began by staging all contents ( a mix of furniture, boxes, mattresses, and a grand assortment of odds-n-ends) near the pods. I was certain that it would be impossible to squeeze that sea of stuff into those two boxes. They went to work methodically and efficiently protecting and wrapping every item they'd deemed as needing special care. Their knowledge and experience was evident as they organized, stacked, and nestled each item into place; it was a marvel to watch. Dante and Pierre worked this magic within the contracted two hour time frame and all of this was done at a reasonable, competitive price. These guys are great! They are prompt, professional, quick, careful and affordable. One of the only companies out there that does a two hour minimum which is great if you have a smaller job. Shawntee who coordinates the work is very responsive, friendly and accommodating. They are a basic moving company so if you need special equipment look into this in advance and rent it if need be they don't have all the bells and whistle's but for most people you don't need all that and they are an awesome resource! read more

THESE GUYS SAVED THE DAY!!!! Shawntee helped talk me through their availability for a same-day U-Box (booked the same day through Uhaul) after PODS canceled delivery due to the steep hill. I moved from the third floor to 2 buildings over on the second floor. All stairs no elevator, 40 steps going up 40 steps going down. Mind you I have very heavy furniture and nothing got damaged. I am no stranger to moving. For the first 30 years of my life, I moved about every 2 years, including several across country moves. These guys are the best (2nd picture) I've ever had. Not just careful & qualified, they are good people. They called and offered to meet me at Uhaul to help haul the u-boxes I ordered so I wouldn't have to keep driving downtown and haul them back 1 by 1. Then, It was a 2 hour wait because Uhaul is so disorganized! 2 hours! They waited with me & were professional the entire time. When it turned out at the end of the day that I needed double the amount of uboxes, but was flying out of town that night, they offered to go to Uhaul another day, pick up my rental truck for me, go to my storage unit and pack up my remaining storage items. They totally had my back and made a stressful situation not stressful. I never expected such kindness. No other moving company I used before would care enough. The twins (two of the real four brothers of this business) were prompt, efficient, courteous, and highly creative with my moving load, which included a large boat that had to be angled into the cargo trailer to just barely fit. After having so many bad experiences with movers, these guys totally redeemed my faith. The movers were friendly, polite, helpful, and efficient. After a long drive from SoCal and a full Uhaul, I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. They moved my stuff in quickly (two hours for a two bedroom apartment, although it was mostly boxes and just a few pieces of furniture such as mattress, couch, desks, and two dressers) and had zero issues. They even asked where I wanted my few furniture pieces placed, instead of just throwing them somewhere! My wife and I just traveled down from Montana, for business for a couple of years, with a 26' UHAUL without having an apartment selected yet. Donte and Pierre met us first thing Saturday morning and helped get our belongings into a couple bins at the Downtown SF UHAUL Storage Unit, only to come reload it the following weekend and unload into our downtown apartment. These two, along with their two additional buddies (forget the names), the second week displayed the utmost in professionalism and care with our belongings. They thankfully built in some extra time to operate, and took this extra time without batting an eye. The administrator back in the office, Shante (sp), deserves some kudos as well for her flexibility, and coordinating these multiple trips with the shortest of notice. I have used these movers on several occasions and they are prompt and professional. I have used other movers before and many lag to inflate the bill. They don't have their own truck so you have to rent from U-Haul but for the price point compared to movers with trucks I'll take it. This was such a great moving experience, which is really saying something, considering how much work moving is. Four Brothers were really nice to work with, and they did a great job. The charges were fair and reasonable, with considerable savings compared to using traditional moving companies, and I had no hidden charges in my final payment. They were extremely punctual. They worked carefully but efficiently. None of my belongings were damaged, and yet they did the move in good time. I rented a 10' U-Haul and drove it myself, lowering the cost I paid to Four Brothers substantially. They charge extra if you have the movers drive your van. The two movers did all of the moving & wrapping of furniture with moving blankets, take down/set up of my sleigh bed, loading/unloading things in the U-Haul, etc. The two movers were respectful, professional, and easy to communicate with. This is a great solution if you don't have that much stuff, but more than you can move in a van, truck, or just by yourself or with a few friends. Highly recommend. read more
