They took about 1 hour to move an organized small studio and just under 2 hours to move my lesser organized 1 BR. The bulk our time was spent at our new building which required more travel time between the truck and the unit. These guys were optimal and had excellent strategizing and problem solving across all three buildings (which were all different). They were also thorough in minimizing damage to our belongings via wrapping and care. This team set a new standard for me and I'd hire them again.

My wife already left a review but they deserve as many accolades as possible…read more We hired OBM because they quoted us the lowest price, but they were also the best and I highly doubt other movers would've gone above & beyond the way they did. We had a challenging move from downtown S.F. to Berkeley, to a house that is in the middle of multiple construction projects. Yet they made everything feel easy. I had gotten food poisoning the day before and we were stressing because we hadn't yet finished packing. But it was no problem--they loaded the truck with the items that were ready to go while we packed the rest. Make sure to ask for Joseph and his team (Fernando and Victor). They arrived a little early so they'd be ready and were the utmost professional while also being a warm and friendly team of guys. We would have them over dinner any time. Because of Joseph I'm now convinced that moving is both an art and an athletic feat. We had a recliner (100lbs) and a treadmill (200lbs) that were too wide to go through a doorway--and yet he maneuvered them effortlessly through without a scratch on either.

Impel's was accurate, and actually even cheaper than what their final quote was. My mother in law said they were very nice and helpful, and they finished really quickly. Happy to be recommending Impel as a great option for movers in the area.

Daniel, the owner was very communicative during the quotation and made himself available for packing consultation leading up to the move. We chose to pack our own boxes, but they can also pack for you. We were lined up with a stellar and reliable move crew (Thank you Jake & David!). The same crew who loaded the truck are the ones who drove up and unloaded to our new home which gave us good peace of mind that there was no change of hands. I was really impressed by OCD's kind and hardworking demeanor. Our furniture was very well padded and packed. The delivery in Portland went great! Everything arrived safely even the most fragile glass and ceramic items made it through the move journey unscathed. Thanks so much for everything OCD, I can't thank you enough! OCD made our long distance move as easy as the stress of moving can be, their services are a worthwhile investment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Clearly experienced at navigating multi-floor condo buildings. Our new home has 3 floors. If we ever move again (hopefully not soon lol!), I'd definitely go with OCD Movers again.

They wrapped everything carefully, especially my glass display cases, and it all arrived in one piece. At the new place they helped me figure out furniture placement and didn't mind shuffling things around until it worked. Good sense of humor, too, which made the day go by fast. One of them strained his back partway through and still finished the job. Tip for others: I only booked two movers for a full truck, which was my mistake. Get a bigger crew and you'll save a lot of time. Would hire them again.

Everything was good till that point - the moving itself was well done and they protected the items. But when it came time for payment, they basically strong armed/guilt tripped me into paying them a considerable amount over the quoted price as a "tip". This ruined the entire exchange for me, as prior to that they were 5 star worthy. But not honoring the quote and asking for more after making sure the review was posted is a very shady move. I will not be using them for future needs, and do not recommend them to others.
