Amazing job! Highly recommend. Golfers they gave us a great estimate and to complete the job on time! Finding somebody to do this type of work is difficult so again we highly recommend them. read more

Great from start to finish. Based on the stellar reviews I called and Matthew came out to provide an estimate. His proposal was clear and competitive. Seemed confident they could finish in one day. Matthew was very accommodating in meeting with the neighbors to assure them there would be minimal impact/disruption to their properties. There was a mixup in the lift provided and they needed a bigger lift. Matthew assured me it would be fixed at no additional costs to us. Thank you Matthew. Justus, Loa, Kaipo and Karl, were on site early to start on the project. Once the machinery issues with the lift were solved, they had the project done in a couple of hours. Took me up close to inspect the work and fixed another spot that was bothering me. So good to have this done. Want our building to last another 20 years and I feel this repair will insure this doesn't happen again. The crew had a lot of pride in their work. I totally recommend these guys to do a great job to your satisfaction. read more

Just wanted to give a big shoutout to George, Justice, Wayne, and Bronson from Foundation Systems Hawaii. These guys were awesome! They showed up early every day, ready to go, and had great attitudes the whole time. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and really knew what they were doing. They worked fast but still paid attention to detail, and made sure everything was done right. I really appreciated how professional and respectful they were. It's not every day you come across a crew that works this hard and is this easy to work with. If you're looking for solid, dependable people who get the job done right, I highly recommend these guys. Foundation Systems Hawai'i, Thank you all for a great experience from George to the great work from Jimmy, Wayne and Tony. Jimmy and his crew went above and beyond to treat my family's home as if it were their own. From demo to clean up Jimmy, Tony, and Wayne were professional and worked with efficiency and intent. We researched our options and found Foundation Systems to be the best quality service for price, and they specialize in residential work which felt most appropriate for our home's needs on our Kailua hillside. Matt was an exceptional estimator and he did not tack on extra fees- the team actually added on extra work for the same price- like adjusting our small porch to match the house level. Wayne was in charge of the crew and my husband and I remarked how meticulous he was about ensuring the crew kept the yard tidy, covered hazards at night, and spent extra time to make the work perfect and level. We highly recommend them!! read more

We'd like to give a shout-out to Wayne and his crew who just gave our house a new lease on life. What they replaced were deteriorating concrete pillars and rusting metal brackets holding up the house. For six days, the crew led by Wayne arrived promptly in the morning and worked steadily throughout the day. They were always cheerful, polite, and totally professional. The entire project was well organized and supervised by Casey, their superintendent, to ensure a good outcome--from his initial walk through on site to his guidance in working with the crew on the first day to his final check-in on the last day. Our sincere appreciation and gratitude to you all--Casey, Wayne, and the crew! read more

Insanely expensive quote to replace a single post! Got it done by someone else for less than 1/10th the price.

We had foundation work done in 2022 by Foundations Systems Hawaii, and paid tens of thousands of dollars for it. We were assured via an email that once the work was completed that the house was secure. Three years later, while having some renovations done, we learned the house's foundation was not stable. We since have had three different professional consultations, and also solicited an independent geotechnical report. All were in agreement that the work done in 2022 was clearly substandard. We have also learned that the work done possibly caused structural damage, though this is not confirmable as we did not receive any documentation from Foundation Systems Hawaii for the work done. read more

Friendly, professional workers The estimator , George Smith acknowledged a possible oversight in the initial design process plan but did not charge me for the extra tie back and time. The other aspect that I appreciated was that the workers did not throw cigarette butts or vape containers in my yard and were respectful of my property. Also, they did not play loud music I will be using them for other jobs and posting this also on my Tantalus Communications area. Mahalo! read more

A huge thank you to Wayne, Tony, and Courtney for doing a beautiful job on a 75 year old retaining wall that was crumbling to bits. 5-6 cars or trucks routinely park on top of this wall and all that weight is too much for an old wall. Rather than risk getting sued, I called Foundation Systems. I got an estimate from George that was not doable on my small income and he did his best to bring the estimate down to a number I could handle. Thank you George! Wayne and his crew came on time every morning. They continued to work even through pouring heavy rain! (Please don't catch cold!) They were personable, polite, skilled, and efficient. Wayne explained what they had done to shore up the wall (George did this as well) which I really appreciated. Courtney even noticed a dead rooster under a bush in my yard (ewww!!) and got rid of it for me. Thank you so much for doing that!! They were neat in their work and left my walkway cleaner than it has been in years. Thank you for making this experience so much less stressful for me. You guys are the best!! After years......decades.....of the house shifting, door not closing properly, tiles cracking.....we had our foundation checked out by Foundation Systems Hawaii. Wade was totally on it......super friendly and thorough......surveyed our house/property.....took pictures and measurements.....and came up with a reasonable proposal to fix.......level our house! Our house sank almost 4 inches in one corner. It was going to be a 2 day job and becuase of the holidays, we scheduled about a month out. During that month wait, a couple of slots opened up and they were so kind to ask if we wanted to move up the job. Because we had out of town guests.....and the holidays.....we kept our original schedule. Day of the job, Wade showed up in the morning......retook measurements and met with his team doing the job. Daniel's crew did the job and they were awesome. Some pretty huge guys and they were under the house in the dirt and whatever junk was under there....no complaints and just trying to do the job right. Appreciated that they constantly asking us to check doors, windows, interior cracks,.....any issues......and constantly retook readings inside the house and calibrating their jacks to make sure the house was level. It was exhausting for them and us....but in hindsight that's what you want.....someone caring about your house and making sure things are not rushed and done properly. I think we realized now that when we bought the house.....we should have brought people in to level the house back then before it sank even more. I think the previous owners did renovation on a crooked house so when the house got leveled.....some things look off. Would highly recommend Foundation Systems and especially Daniel's crew! We are happy with the results......the house feels more solid and level which is what we wanted! We also got a lot of junk cleaned up from under the house too! read more

We live on a hill and the cement block wall on the high side of our property developed a gaping crack and I didn't know who I could call to repair it. So thank you, Foundation Systems, for mailing out your flyer. I had it sitting on the kitchen counter for a few days and our son saw it in passing and commented, "I've worked with them. They're good." (game show lights immediately went off) I called for an estimate. George Smith came to inspect and he not only saw the deep "V" crack but he also noted that the wall, which ran the length of our lot, was beginning to tilt. "Hmmm," I said pondering the possibilities. "Maybe I can become a trendsetter!" Needless to say, this was not the first tilted block wall that had crossed George's path. He offered a solution. This solution assured us that our wall's life would eclipse ours. The ball began rolling, supplies were ordered and a date set. Team Magic appeared (Marcus, Kealoha, Bronson, and Kalai) and in three days flat it was done. They did excellent work and were friendly and polite to boot! And after they were finished, if our wall could conjure a nickname, it would be the Dinky Wall of Kailua. Dinky, yes, but oh so STRONG. read more

Prompt communication is very important and the people at Foundation Systems were very responsive and proactive. After my initial inquiry, the call to set up an appointment for this estimate occurred within two hours. Wade, the project manager, and Annie, the office manager, kept us informed of scheduling dates, changes, procedural information, and financial processes. They listened to our concerns were very professional. Our project was scheduled to be completed in one day. However, certain material requirements extended the timeframe by an additional half day. They took the time to get the correct materials for the job. Daniel and his crew were considerate, informative, and efficient. Throughout the process, Daniel kept checking with us to ensure that external adjustments were not resulting in any internal misalignments. Daniel and his crew were outstanding! After the installation of wider posts, termite barriers, and higher concrete blocks, our house is now level. We also mitigated water runoff erosion by rerouting a couple of downspouts. Thank you to Wade, Annie, Daniel and his crew for their wonderful work. read more

We started noticing cracks in our walls and in the ground in the backyard about a year ago. Our house was built on a hill in Niu Valley and I learned that several of our neighbors have had to get the same work done. At the time I hired them I didn't know they were the company who had already done work in this neighborhood. I found this company by chance and am extremely pleased that I hired them. The entire crew is dependable and professional. The guys were here everyday for a week, working hard to get the job done. They completed it and cleaned up nicely. I recommend this company! read more

We called on Foundation Systems Hawaii to have a look at re-leveling our home probably due to years and years of settling. Wade, Tim, Annie and of course the work crew did a fantastic job at accommodating our schedules, animals and us concerned homeowners. They were all professional in the role that they were responsible for when taking care of our home. Even though they were professional, they showed empathy, concern and positivity that the job will be done correctly, even if it has to be redone. (which they did, just to make things perfect for us) The support and communication throughout the whole process was top notch by everyone and we felt that they genuinely cared about doing the best job they could for us, and the only settled on final payment when we were 100% satisfied with their work. It's nice to work with a local business that cares about you and their reputation in the industry. Thanks FSH! read more

Foundation Systems just finished our home! From start to finish they were amazing!!!! I called several places to get estimates. Wade was super helpful and came out quickly. A few days later he sent me our estimate. We did our homework and looked at Yelp reviews and BBB. All great reviews and in excellent standing! The day of our job-Wade came at the start to introduce us to the crew that would be working on our home. To include the foreman, Casey(spelling?). He was our go to person throughout the process. He answered any questions that I had-some I'm sure were "extra". But he answered and addressed them as though it was a valid question. The working crew.....super professional and amazing!!! They work hard. I give them so much credit to be working under the house with who knows what's under there. Also it rained while they were here working but they didn't skip a beat. Kept going. All nice and friendly. Our 18 year old daughter said they all seem to enjoy their job. They work hard and yet can laugh together. If you need your foundation help. Don't look any further!!! Foundation Systems Hawaii did a stellar job on re-levelling our home. Wade made the initial visit to provide an estimate. We were a bit surprised that the work would take only two days, but that's exactly how long it took. During the project, the crew showed up exactly on time and communicated any concerns they had. Some parts of our home had to be brought up almost 6 inches, and some additional plumbing work was needed. We also have an outdoor staircase that needs to be replaced after the re-levelling, and they worked around that. Tim Mort was onsite the first day and was very pleasant to talk to. When the project was done, the crew made sure that all our cabinets and doors would open and close. One door would not close even with adjustments, so Wade came by the next day to sand it down. The crew cleaned up nicely and put things back as they had been before the project started. Casey asked me to walk around the house to make sure I was happy with everything. Thank you, Foundation Systems! It's nice to have a level home. Sorry about all the stray cat poop under the house! read more

Be very careful about this company if you live an a residence that is managed by an HOA and management agency! They will send a rep out to view your damages, take photos and then send you an outrageous quote, and if you don't go with their quote, they will secretly inform the association management agency, which they also work with a great deal, of your damages without your knowledge. Mahalo to Tim, Wade, Daniel and the crew for a smooth project installing micropiles around and under the house and an additional support beam. We had inquired around and every other contractors said we would have to cut holes in our living in order to install the micropiles because there was not enough space to work. Daniel and his crew went the extra mile to crawl under the house, clear out enough clearance for the equipment, and install the micropiles. They kept us informed on the status of the project and met the timeline agreed upon. Digging, chipping, drilling, and pouring concrete was a major project, but they worked hard to minimize the disturbances for us and our neighbors. They also worked very clean and made sure to put everything back to how it looked before. Would definitely work with them in the future and recommend them to anyone that needs to have foundation work done for their home. read more

I first contacted Wade over 2 years ago for a complimentary site inspection. He impressed me as being very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, due to various complications on my end, I felt there was a lot to do before tackling the house foundation. However, this year I've seen signs that no matter what, something needs to be done. I contacted Wade. With little notice and a very busy schedule, he took the time to meet with me again. He's committed to getting a job done, and cares about his workers. Yet, Fate is relentless, and I'm faced with another setback. The least I can do is express my appreciation for his time and effort thus far. I'm confident that he's capable of helping us. read more

As the saying goes, we loved how Foundation Systems Hawai'i did our Kaimuki house (replacing 10 hollow tile columns used to support our second story deck about 10 months ago) so much that we hired them again to do some work on our Hawai'i Kai/Kalama Valley house. For our Hawai'i Kai/Kalama Valley house, we feared that it might have serious foundation problems such as possible settling and cracking. After Tim came out and thoroughly inspected the exterior and interior of the house, we received the happy news that the foundation of the house itself appeared sound but that several exterior perimeter walls had spalling extensive enough to require repair. We were so thankful Tim does recommendations based on what he would do if the conditions were in his house. Hence, he doesn't try to create more work, and a higher cost, than is consistent with his professional opinion of the specific situation. Within a day or two of his inspection, he sent to us a proposal that covered everything required (demolition, construction, finishing, and painting) to repair the spalling. This even included his agreeing to speak with one of the owners of an adjacent property to let them know of the proposed work. I should note here that, as before, he provides fixed cost proposals. This means the price does not change once work begins, as is often the case in the very common time and materials estimates. In the past, we have had work done by others under a time and materials estimate that skyrocketed in costs. With Tim, we have the peace-of-mind that the price agreed upon is the price we will pay. Having agreed to the proposal, work began about one week later and was completed in a little over six days. This was a little longer than was expected due to conditions in the wall being worse than thought but the price, of course, did not increase. During the work, his employees were always courteous and completely and competently answered all our questions. Tim also visited the worksite several times to personally check on things and to ensure everything was being done to his high standards. And at the end of each day, the workers cleaned up the work areas before leaving. In the end, our exterior walls look as good as new and are actually stronger than originally built. Now, we wish Foundation Systems did kitchens and bathrooms renovations too because that's our next task! read more

On 11/4/20, their estimator came out to look at my sagging concrete patio. He said he'll email me an estimate. As of today (12/29/20), I still haven't received the estimate. I called a while back and he said he hasn't forgotten. I texted him on Nov. 23 & 25 for the status of my estimate, but he didn't respond. Update: I finally received my estimate on 1/15/21 which was beyond my budget but at least the estimator was very apologetic at letting this slip through the cracks. On 1/18/21, the owner of the company called me to also apologize and said they have made procedural changes so that this doesn't happen again. He gave me his honest recommendation as to my patio and I appreciate his promptness in rectifying the situation to make this into a positive experience. I still have confidence that this company could do good work if I were to go ahead with the project in the future (when funds are available). read more

We just completed some foundation work with Foundation Systems Hawaii. From start to finish, FSH showed what great professionals they are. Wade was our point person. At our initial meeting, I showed Wade the areas we were concerned about. He immediately knew what the issue was, and he took pictures of all the affected areas. The next day, he emailed us the quote. After reviewing, we wanted to remove one of the areas included in the quote so I emailed Wade. I also asked him for some referrals for engineering firms that could determine the root cause of our issue. Again, it only took him one day to email back the updated quote, and he included the engineering firm referrals. Even when Wade was out for a week, Annie kept us informed about his absence and that he would be able to schedule our work upon his return. Annie also handled the payments, and we were able to send payment via online banking which was very convenient for us. As promised, Wade scheduled our work when he returned. Daniel and Marcus did the actual work. Daniel was the lead and after opening up the areas, he confirmed the issue. Daniel took pictures of the areas, and he took the time to explain exactly what was going on with our issue, detailing the cause and what was lacking in the original construction. That really impressed me because most companies wouldn't take the time to explain the work being done. They would just do the work. Learning about the cause of the issue was so valuable because it will help us maintain our home going forward. The work was completed in a few days, it looked good, and again, Daniel explained exactly what they did to fix the affected areas. I truly appreciated that level of communication. Daniel and Marcus were also very polite, professional, and cleaned up the areas afterwards. Since FSH does not include finishing work in their scope of work, we thought we would need to find our own resource to patch and paint the interior area that they fixed. Much to our surprise, the company president, Tim offered to pay for one of their contacts, Dan to do this interior work. That totally exceeded our expectations. In line with FSH's professionalism, Dan was just as good. He was thorough, detailed, and even fixed some bumps in our wall that weren't even a result of the foundation work. Finding someone that good is not easy, especially in the trades. We will definitely look to have Dan do other jobs for us in the future. All in all, working with Foundation Systems Hawaii was a pleasure. They are professional, do great work, and have excellent communication. What more can you ask from a company? We would highly recommend FSH to anyone who needs help with their foundation. read more
