Let me just start by saying the condo I live in made the choice to hire these guys. They have been working on the bulding from 1/1/2024, yes 2024, to November 2025. They were scheduled to complete the spall repairs, painting and tile in the lanais only, Is the work supposed to take this long?! We have 10 units on each floor and there are 22 floors. We were told to remove everything off our lanai in July 2024. They never got to my unit until right before Thanksgiving 2024. Mind you, I had lanai furnishings taking up space in my living room that entire time AND I was only able to put them back on the lanai after Christmas 2024, Didn't even have room for our Christmas tree. Additionally, they came back in July 2025 to paint the lanai. I had to call them to clean up the concrete left all over the lanai and it took them a couple weeks to send 2 guys. When they finally came back, these 2 guys didn't have the right "concrete cleaner" and had to come back another day. They took half a day and it still isn't as clean as it was before they started the spall work. The only saving grace is that the workers I've had contact with are friendly and respectful when interacting. Now we had to remove everything from our lanai again because they were going to redo / update the tiles. So many residents complained about the work, the cleanliness and the rate of completion it took! We had to have a special resident meeting about it. I have revised my original review as less than an hour from leaving my review the CEO Damien Enright reached out directly to me to apologize & make it right! He said he would talk to all staff in the office to make sure the correct information went out when someone was booking an appointment. - We discussed the situation and he promised me he would touch base with Johnny who had come out to look at the property and he himself would personally come out to the property to see if he could offer other solutions/options. - the next morning as promised, he called me and we arranged to meet at the property at noon - today after meeting him at the house and he investigated underneath it. Damien offered multiple options on how we can proceed forward, as well as as offered a referral to a company that could do the actual work - All of this showed me that he truly cares about his customers and also about his company's reputation, and he will do whatever he needs to in order to make it right. My original review: was 1 Star - "They wasted over 10/days of my landlords/tenants time during a dire situation when our poor tenants have to sleep in the livingroom as the bedrooms are not safe as they said they were sending a structural engineer to take a look but they sent a repair company that can't do anything without the "real structural engineer that costs $6300".... read more

I can't emphasize enough how phenomenal their communication skills were throughout the entire process! Structural Systems Inc, SSI, did a fantastic job on our unit in Makaha. They replaced our lanai sliding doors and structurally upgraded our lanai. Throughout the entire construction process, Doreen kept us informed on what is going to happen, what to expect, and provided us with constant update. The constructions team led by Fernando and Mike worked tirelessly and professionally to ensure the work site is safe , the quality of work being done is to structural and professional standard and done with minimum disruption to us at times when we are staying in our unit. I'm updating this review to 4* because this business definitely cares about their reputation and quality of their work. Being a business owner myself I was impressed with Johnny's concern that even though I was not a customer, I had a favorable impression of his company. Not every business cares. We addressed some of my problems trying to get a quote from them and I understand where he's coming from. I think it is important to get a variety of contractors to your site to do an assessment and go with whomever makes you feel most comfortable. I think Structural Systems would be good if you know for certain you need micro piles. This is their specialty. If you do not need them, they probably aren't the company for you as you will be paying a hefty engineering fee which may not be necessary in every instance. If I did know for sure micro-piles were absolutely necessary, I would be calling Johnny and would trust Structural Systems to get the job done right. As a result of my favorable recent interactions with Johnny, I'm updating to 4* ------------------- PREVIOUS REVIEW There's no doubt this company does good work. I've met people who have been happy. My rating reflects my experience with them just trying to get a quote. The lead sales guy Johnny is very unhelpful. His answer to everything is that he is not an engineer and you must pay $6300 for an engineer's report. I get it. He just doesn't know and needs a concrete action plan before doing anything. So why even bother with a site visit? He didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. I wasn't there but my realtor wasn't happy at all. Jonny said the time to get the report is 6 weeks. I asked if there are other engineers and he said his guy gives him A discount. I said fine send me the info to get started. That's the last I heard from Jonny. Seriously. I actually was ready to pay the $6300. Meanwhile I found a competent engineer to do a thorough report for $800 and a construction company who said I don't need micro-piles. Someone else told me Structural Systems is just a sales company who makes a percentage on everything from the engineering report to the construction. No idea of this is true but the drastic price difference in engineer reports seems to suggest it is. read more

SSI did a wonderful job in repairing my cement tile planter box. The rebar within had rusted and cracked the exterior tiles enclosing the box. I was totally satisfied and happy with the results even though the project was pricier than I expected. read more

SSI just completed a repair on our concrete tile foundation. Proposal a few hundred dollars less than the competitors. We had a great experience with Structural Systems. Our initial encounter was with Damien, who came out to our property to assess our issues. He was very professional, honest and took the time to explain the project plan. The process did take a while since it involved multiple parties including a soil engineer, but we were delighted that SSH offered us the option to have the job done turnkey, which made the process easier for us. When it came time for the work to start the onsite crew (Mana, Stu, Ron and Joe) were very professional and communicated with us every step of the way. I noticed how much my house was sloping beyond what Google said was the normal range. I do not have a deep understanding of engineering or home construction, and so I grew concerned. I reached out to 3 different companies, detailing my concerns. Damien from SSI was the only one who responded and followed up with me. He was very kind and patient. We spoke on the phone, I then texted some pictures of the house at his request. He gave me the option of an analysis he could perform to determine what was causing the sloping, if it was anything beyond natural settling. But he also said that nothing I told or showed him screamed that this was a big problem, and that it may make more sense to wait on doing this expensive analysis until more concerning signs appear. After a short discussion, where he patiently and clearly answered my questions, I decided not to move forward with the analysis at this time. He told me what signs to look out for, and I will give him a call if any of those signs appear. I appreciated the amount of time he spent with me, the explanations he gave, as well as the kindness with which he gave them. He could have easily pressured me into an expensive analysis that I didn't need, but he didn't. I value this integrity and feel confident that if I would be in good hands if I ever did need his services. Also, I value his "bedside manner" so to speak-- he didn't make me feel bad about not understanding house construction/engineering, but rather took the time to explain things to me like an intelligent adult. This was so refreshing considering that many interactions I've had in the past with contractors who have talked down to me like an idiot woman who couldn't possibly understand. Due the unstable ground under our house that caused major cracks on the concrete slab and walls. Cracks were getting more worse so we called Structural Systems. Work that was involved is to install 7 Micropiles around the exterior of the house and one Micropile in the inside of the house. Also Polyurethane Foam installation inside of the house. It was amazing that the house slab on one side has lifted about 2 inches in one corner of the slab and made the concrete slab level. It also closed up the cracks in the walls. Most of all I would like to thank the whole Structural Systems Company from Managers, Engineers, and working crew for a job well done. I decided to go with this company because they fully explained to me how they were going to repair spalling of my garage support wall. They were the only ones that told me that they were going to tie the newly repaired portion of the wall into the existing garage floor to keep the walling from falling over. Gabe Arratia was my point of contact and he was very polite, dedicated to his job and kept me apprised of ongoing work. His two workers were outstanding and kept their work area clean and neat as they worked and was truly concerned about trying to keep the noise down and not disturb my neighbors. Gabe estimated the repair work would take 4 days and that is exactly what it took. They did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend Gabe and his team to accomplish your repairs.
