It all started with a Yelp request for quote to rebuild a hollow tile retaining wall at the back of my property back in March. Bryson was the first to reply with a very confident, "yes I can help you. Lmk your availability" ... Site, unseen. (2Cor5:7) Little did he know the Journey we were about to take! He said to me this morning (July19, one month after the initial demo began) when he arrived for the final clean up that this job has been a Journey. And my goodness, it has. Challenge number 1: years of debris from neglected over grown trees and borderline hoarding from the previous owner (my dad lol). My family and I took care of this prior to Bryson's crew coming in. Challenge number 2: broken, twisted, and unusable footing from the previous retaining wall, built in 1975. When Bryson came for the initial estimate, we were unable to see if the footing was still salvageable. We hoped hard, but it was not to be. The old footing would need to be removed, a new trench would need to be dug out, and a solid concrete footing 2ft wide x 16" deep x 50ft long would need to be poured to hold my Earth from sliding into the property behind my house, which also happens to be about 2.5-3 ft lower than mine. All I heard was *chaching chaching chaching!* $$$$$ lol but Bryson assured me he would try his best to stay reasonably close to my budget. Challenge number 3: the neighbor. This one taught us a fat lesson in humility. My neighbor felt disrespected that we didn't speak with him about this project before the work began. However, we spoke to the other homeowner (his wife) ahead of time and got her approval to work from their side - again, 2.5-3' lower, and flat, and safe. She seemed to see the benefit to her property that this retaining wall was about to give her, at no cost to them. It's hard to love your neighbor and not take vengeance (Mark 12:31) when the neighbor is harassing you, and questioning you, and accusing you of not knowing the rules, and threatening to make complaints against your business - your livelihood, just because his wife didn't relay the message to him. I cannot speak enough about Bryson's professionalism here. His patience, integrity, and character were all challenged with this one old man. Bryson spoke clearly and competently to him and gave his word that he would leave his property the same if not better, than when we began. I am not a religious person but Bryson walks by faith. His business is based on his ideal that he and his crew are "Blessed to be a Blessing" and for me, this is 1000% true. My dad built hollow tile walls and poured concrete sidewalks and driveways as a side hustle back in the day. He gained his wings heaven-side before he could help me rebuild this wall. Bryson's team's craftsmanship shown here on Yelp and on his Instagram is very similar to my father's work. And let me tell y'all, the smell and sounds of tile and trowel in mud (cement) took me back to when I was 8 years old and my dad would let me help cut joint for him (neatly finishing the cement between each tile block). Bryson and his crew gave me back a bit of my dad in this 50ft long tile wall stuffed solid with horizontal and vertical rebar and concrete. It is a solid masterpiece and a testament to Bryson's crew and their credibility in the work they leave behind. They leveled out all the dirt that had to be pulled back for the new footing and power washed my driveway from all the red-dirt mud the rain gave them. They re-laid the cement stepping blocks my father made years ago into a makeshift sidewalk along the back of my house and even laid fresh gravel in the neighbor's yard in order to restore his space better than it had been to start. If I could give 10 stars I would do it in half a click. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Bryson and your 9 man crew. All hands on deck for this Journey but I think now we can stand and look back and be grateful for the opportunity, together. read more

Bryson was a true professional from the start - he came and thoroughly checked out what we wanted done to ensure an accurate quote and a rundown of what he and his crew can do. His quote was mid-range, but he was the most clear on what we would be paying for so it gave us the most confidence in what to expect (and, of course, it's not easy work, so we were expecting a certain price range to begin with). After they spent a day to prep the area and double checking every measurement and alignment, we awaited the pour. Unfortunately, that's when the rain began. Our first pour had to be canceled due to heavy rains and we we back on the schedule a few weeks later... which, lucky us, had some more rain in the forecast. However, this day was not nearly as heavy as the previously scheduled day, so rather than further delay, Bryson and his crew chose to get to work finishing our project. The previous homeowners unfortunately did not install rain gutters, so the crew took the extra step to protect the concrete from later rains by putting up tarps. Even though they could have easily canceled and pushed the pour back further, Bryson and his crew chose to do the extra work needed to get our pour done and ensure our investment was protected. We contacted Bryson earlier this year to get a quote on a walkway for the exterior of our brand new home. He responded quickly and we setup our quote shortly after. We chose Bryson not only because of his reasonable pricing but also because of his experience and attention to detail. During our walk thru he talked about how he would match up the depth of what was existing so that the finished product would be even, educated us on the surface prep, cure time, etc. None of the other contractors took the time to explain things like Bryson did. We were literally a day or so from the pour when we needed to pause on the concrete to finalize the yard drainage plans which would ultimately affect the concrete. After several months of delays due to association approvals for the other projects affecting our property (landscape design, fence) I contacted Bryson when we finally had the green light to proceed. He was about to leave for a trip but still took my call to let me know he would be out of town for a couple weeks and we could schedule when he got back. As soon as he got back, he contacted me and we scheduled time for him to come back and do surface check/additional prep (we extended one side of the walkway). Within days, the adjustments were made and the concrete truck was scheduled. They had an early morning start due to the truck delivery time and Bryson and his crew came early and got our walkways done within a matter of hours. We are beyond grateful for the finished product - which was so much more than we expected! We wanted to make a bbq area on the side of the house and he walked us through the steps. We were unsure of what finish we wanted and he gave multiple options. Bryson and his gang did a great job. All of his gang were very professional, diligent and friendly. No loud music, no playing around, no wasted time. Started and ended the day so they would cause minimal disruption to the neighbors. Made a tile wall, poured two big slabs and a walkway in the back yard. They had to remove a tree, cut back a hill and haul out the extra dirt. Kept things as clean as possible everyday. Bryson kept me informed of what was going on through out the whole project. Existing driveway and patio slabs were of different heights, but Bryson made it so the transition between the two were unnoticeable. Everything came out better than I had pictured it. I have another project in the planing stage, and I will be calling Bryson, and his gang, to do the job. Extremely satisfied with BCH Concrete (Bryson). We had a serious issue with one of our patio posts that supports our roof. The base of the post was corroded to the point where it was cracking our brick wall. It caused us a lot of concern as the post collapsing may also have caused our roof to collapse. Bryson responded promptly to assess the issue and provide a quote that was very reasonable. He then installed temporary posts to support the roof while he worked on getting a new steel post assembled. The post turned out perfect and Bryson and his team finished installing the post and laying the bricks that surrounded the post. We contacted Bryson because we had a small but technically difficult project that involved replacing an uneven and slippery pathway as it was dangerous. Importantly, the typography of the area required very careful adjustment to get the correct water flow. Other contractors who looked at the project obviously found it intimidating because we never heard back from them. In contrast, Bryson dropped by to assess the job and spent a lot of time measuring levels and angles before coming up with a quite brilliant solution. Bryson and his team demolished the existing pathway, prepared for the pour, and then returned subsequently to lay the new path. During the pour, I noticed Bryson continuously checking the surface angles to make sure they were correct. Bryson and the BCH Concrete crew are clearly very experienced craftsmen. These guys were awesome. Bryson came out to take a look at the yard and was extremely courteous. Once we got a game plan these guys couldn't be stopped. They poured a big slab in the front, walkway going around the side of the house and a slab in the back as well. All of it looks solid and clean.
