I've been to Foster's twice now and have had a very good experience both times. After reading a few of the previous reviews I can see where the "inefficient" problems could come up, but luckily both times I went it wasn't very crowded yet (it became quite packed about 10 minutes after we ordered). So far I've had the burger and the cheesesteak and I have to say both were very good. Not the best ever, but definitely good enough to make me go back again. It's kind of a small place and once it gets packed getting to the soda fountain/utensil area is a bit of a challenge. They need to open that area up a bit to make it more customer friendly, but it's still manageable. The decorations hanging from the walls and ceiling are pretty cool and i found the people to be very friendly? The only real downfall is the pricing. Very rude workers. Haven't been here in a year and remembered the employees giving attitude to customers for no reason. Called to place an order, and received endless amounts of attitude and sass for just calling the store... the wings at this location are also not good. Every time we visit our friends in Bristow we have to stop at Foster's Grill! We get a char-burger & fries, and we're never disappointed, except when I forget to circle bacon on the order menu! We also have gotten the onion rings a couple of times. Very good, but a small portion, FYI. The burger & fries are enough to fill you though. Wish we had one in western Pennsylvania! read more

I came here with high hopes, and after seeing the menu and the ordering style was anxious to try the burgers. When you walk in you need to grab a paper menu and a pencil. You write your name on it and choose your burger, toppings whether you want just the sandwich or the basket, etc. So after this is all done we waited a while. Granted it was lunch time but there was nobody in line when we got there and only a few others were waiting for food. Once my burger arrived, it was mammoth. I mean I had to smash it down just to take a bite. Only problem was there was so much relish, I mean like must have been an entire ladle full it was the only thing I could taste. I couldnt taste the meat, the onion, the hot sauce or even the bacon. This is the problem that I have. Also its not clear whether or not you are to leave your trash at the table or not. Near the trash cans there is nowhere to place the baskets. We may try this again, but there are plenty of other burger places in the area that I would rather dine at. read more

Fosters served up a good fair of burgers and chicken fingers for my family. I ordered their special salmon burger with a sweet red pepper sauce and grilled pineapple. The hubby had a cheeseburger and the kids are chicken fingers. The chicken fingers were served fresh and warm, my kids loved them. After taking a bite of one I was impressed it was real chicken breast meat instead of McDonald's quality. The cheeseburger meat was grilled well, but served with American cheese. I'm not a fan of American.....plastic.....cheese. For me it ruined the juiciness of the burger meat. Cold burger buns.....WHY??..... Can't they warm the buns before placing meat upon them. Very doughy in taste and served cold was not as appetizing. Paper ordering system......caused a huge backup in the ordering line. Could have streamlined it with a digital machine. Save some trees Fosters. Staff was friendly and food came out on time. Overall happy with the service, but food needs a little bit of tweaking to make it even better. read more

We don't eat here very often. But i ordered online and picked it up--greasy fries (even 2x in the air fryer didn't perk them up!) and burgers tartar even though we specified WELL DONE! Last time, we ordered they had just started the online pick up and they gave us 2 coupons for free entrees because it was a disaster. We probably won't be back. Decent burger... But definitely not FAST food. I've been to this Fosters on a number of occasions. Usually have to wait a couple minutes to order at the counter. Average wait is about 10-15 minutes (the same as Red Robin or Friday's). The burger is not very thick but the meat has good flavor. Unless you're really hungry, get the smaller burger. Worst experience today. Used online ordering. And despite ordering online, they got the order wrong and took over ten minutes longer than estimated time for pickup. The lady was highly apologetic but what could have been done??? Wait another thirty minutes to have the right order completed??? The food was okay, but the service in the Bristow location was terrible! I didn't know how to fill out their order slip, and when I asked for help I was told to "figure it out"! ....Really?=[ All I ordered was the wing meal, and I ended up getting wings with no "wing sauce". Not a big deal, except that no one was checking up on me to make sure my order was okay. I got up and walked to the counter to ask for wing sauce, only to have to wait for two employees to finish a conversation they were having before even looking at me. After standing there about a minute (completely ignored) They acknowledged me and got me what I needed. I'm never coming here again. Came in over the summer with a friend and were treated horribly by an employee here. One female employee greeted us kindly and then a male employee practically shoved her over to snatch our orders from us. When my friend went to pay he ripped the money from her so quickly that her change flew everywhere! I smiled and tried to be nice but when we sat down he brings our food and literally drops it down in front of us and says "Enjoy your meals ladies" My mom called back later to speak to a manager about the service... Good not great. Like the casual burger/beer & wine concept ... sort of meets 5 Guys and Red Robin in the middle. They seem similar to Smash Burger but missing the wow factor in the product. Good burger although it seems like you are getting it medium/well done regardless of your preference (probably a nod to food safety). Few annoyances about the place.... 1, good bun but why isn't it lightly toasted instead of being luke warm/cold - I see others have pointed out that error to no avail.... 2. Onion rings are way too over battered versus the onion inside and the fries are nothing to write home about - not hot enough and looked a bit tired. Good enough to go back but disappointing .... it should and could be better. read more

I had never tried this place, and I was shocked at how awful it was. Dry, overcooked burger and soggy tasteless bun. Soggy, limp fries. $11 for those two items and no drink. How does this place rate as "inexpensive?" As other reviewers have already noted, the system of writing up your own order and then having to explain it to the cashier is ludicrous. Nice young girl working the register was apparently new, and some guy (manager?) was embarassing her by loudly explaining her mistakes so that the whole restaurant could hear. I would like to like Foster's, but too many times we have order a chicken cheesesteak with NO onions or cheese, and guess what we get? My wife doesn't like onions or cheese, so when you get the order wrong, you affect my marriage dudes. Quit screwing up my orders and I'll think about spending money there again. read more

Food is just blah here. Ordered the bone in Asian wings. Flavor was seriously lacking and the chicken did not taste fresh. The fries are home cut but still lacking in flavor as well which made me shake salt, vinegar, and load the ketchup on. It was like the fries were dried out!! Anyway I will not return. Great place to grab a nice fresh burger, chicken sandwich, or even wings! I frequent this location because not only is it real close to where I live but the atmosphere & employees are always pleasant. I was able to chat with one of the managers there, Brian, while I waited for my take out order one day. It was a Saturday & they were real busy with a big party & it was nice he took the time to acknowledge me while I waited. The whole staff there was real nice & always made sure the tables were cleaned up. I had their burger with all my fixings with a side salad. You can tell the burger was fresh & the side salad was your basic small order salad. After eating I decided to get a strawberry shake & it was AMAZING! The shake was probably the best part of the whole meal. All in all Foster's Grill really has that family friendly feel & they welcome you with a smile. The food was ok. I was really wanting the burger and fries to be better! The burger was over cooked and the bun was cold and right on the verge of being stale. The fries were over cooked too. My daughter had a chicken sandwich with no toppings that she thought was good. My husband had a shrimp po boy...he said it was good. Overall, it was just ok. I was hoping it would be better. This was my first time here as I was visiting family in the area. As I entered the restaurant their was a long line to give your order. Place the order, sit down and the food will arrive shortly. I had the philly cheese steak with onion rings. It was a good sandwich. The onion rings had a real nice flavor to them, but there was only a small portion of them. Next time I will know better and get the larger size. The menu also includes burgers, french fries, wings ( this is my next one). Overall good place. My only complaint was the line to order. The worker doing was very slow but also thorough making sure you ordered correctly. read more
