What a great view of Manhattan. Right off Pier 6 in Brooklyn NY. Great pizza and awesome beer selection. Cool vibes on the patio. Great service. What a treat!!!
We visited Fornino at their Brooklyn Bridge location for Sunday brunch. We love the rooftop atmosphere; there were plenty of umbrellas providing shade for the diners. Service here was prompt; as soon as we were seated, we were given a menu to browse. We started with local Brooklyn draft beer and their famous Anna Rose's meatballs served with bread. We then shared the thin-crust Calabrese pizza, which was delicious and more than enough for two people to share. Both dishes are delicious. It was a lovely afternoon with good food, a gorgeous Manhattan view as our backdrop, and awesome customer service. We will definitely be returning.
Obsessed as per usual! I just visited this spot yesterday, it is a gorgeous location. Great for photographs or just to enjoy the weather with a delicious pizza of your choice. Fornino is my favorite pizza hands-down every time they never miss. I feel like Chef Michael puts so much of himself into the menu in terms of ingredients, selection, and the philosophy behind the dough making, and you could taste that. I ate the entire order. I also ordered their summer pies, one of which was topped with pistachio peaches and pesto. It was like a taste bud celebration. Everything that comes out of that kitchen is gold.
I pass by this spot often during my walks, so finally came to check it out. Definitely get a table in the rooftop so you get a view of the city in the background. Once seated, you can scan the QR code to order or go up to the bar as well. The three of us shared the Roast Corn & Coppa ($22) to snack on. The pizza is Neapolitan style, which is light and crispy. The toppings were solid with just a sprinkle of corn. Overall, decent pizza but the food and drinks were a bit pricey. I guess it comes with the view and vibes of this spot. It's a nice spot for a date or groups though as there's lots of picnic tables --perfect spot for a summer day.
Very solid spot. Loved the mushroom truffle pizza. The vodka pizza was also pretty good but I don't think I'd order it again, just because it wasn't as exciting topping wise and the spice from the chiles wasn't evenly distributed. Great views and ambiance.

A 4-star pizza (albeit a pricey one) in 3-star ambiance. This location is in Time Out Market, which, as is expected, gets incredibly crowded and is a nearly impossible place to find seating. The wait for this spot was long and some of the rooftop views were entirely blocked by the long line of people waiting for the bathroom. I enjoyed the corn with hot honey pizza otherwise, and I would certainly consider going to one of Fornino's legit location(s) for a redeeming experience.

The food here is frozen and defrosted to order. We ordered the Mac and cheese and it was cold in the middle and a bit sour!!! We did get a refund but it makes me wonder about the other food. The pizza is amazing but we also had a hiccup with the ice cream machine- we were told it was operational and then it wasn't! We were charged already then offered the ice cream Cups in the freezer - yeah those were old as well. It had melted and froze again because the cream separated and there was a thick layer of ice on the bottom. Overpriced and not decent
Great views! Go to the greenpoint location for a good sandwich though. Like the food is so much better at the greenpoint location. This sandwich was mid but the chicken Milanese at GREENPOINT FORNINO is OUTSTANDING! But views are tea.
Time Out Market is such a fun and lively place to meet friends in Brooklyn. Here you'll get the most beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge, whether you're inside, or outside on their deck. During the day or night time, it's very busy here. My friend and I decided to share a Margarita pizza at Fornino. There is a bit of a wait to place your order, but it is worth the wait! You'll be given a buzzing device while you wait for your pizza. This is also a good time to find a place to sit. The pizza at Fornino is made in a wood fired oven. We waited around 40 minutes for it to be ready. There is just one size, it's about the size of a personal pizza. It is precut into four slices. This is a thin pizza, where the edges have a nice amount of char. There was a nice spreading of red sauce and a pretty generous amount of fresh mozzarella. This was a very delicious pizza! You could taste the smoke from the brick oven. I just wish they offered a bigger option. This pizza was $17. We both really enjoyed it! Delicious pizza, great view, and the New York energy. What more could you want?!

It was peak baby time so there were A LOT of kids around. The weather was really nice, so I was bummed the rooftop was closed. I ordered the Lambrusco and the Roast Corn & Coppa pizza, but asked them to omit the corn (I didn't like the sound of corn on a pizza!). The pizza and wine were great. I could've used more spice on the pizza, but that's just me. The prices here are reasonable. All in all, it's a great option for when you're in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Still holding its own years later, Fornino is a solid spot for good pizza. Lovely rooftop views in the Brooklyn Bridge Park Waterfront, service was a bit spotty throughout the meal. We both ordered the Mushroom Pizza (personal style with 4 slices) and shared a crisp Romaine Salad. There's a bar on site and while some tables have service, others are designated for ordering yourself at the counter. Still, it's a fun, enjoyable atmosphere to have delicious pizza. I recommend. read more

Stop by to get a beer on a Sunday afternoon walk. I loved the vibes, the views and the staff were very nice and accommodating. The pizzas looked AMAZING so I'm coming back to try them!! Our beers were good just a little pricier (even though it was expected). read more
Been here many times and finally decided to put a review up. Took kid to pier6 playground so what could be better than pizza and salads after waterpark. The pizza here is consistently great. Mushroom pie is delicious, as is classic Margarita. But my fave over dozen visits remains the prosciutto and fig I also love their watermelon feta salad - light, zesty and refreshing - perfect for summer. Lemonade and hibiscus ice tea is a great way to refresh as well read more

No clue how their rating is only 3.7?? We over ordered so I got to try a little of everything and I loved absolutely everything we got. Special shout out to the meatballs haha not something I'd normally go for but so glad we got them. read more

Fornino in Brooklyn Bridge Park is such a great location. A rooftop area, a more casual sitting area downstairs where you can bring your pup - they nailed the breezy casual vibe. My friend and i were here for probably 2 or more hours. We started with the Arancini and couldn't stop ordering more food (the arancini here are some of my favorite ever). Downstairs is a slightly different menu than the roof. I got the mango slushy that they were able to spike with vodka (so good) and my friend ordered off their wine menu. We also got the white sangria which was delicious. We also got the watermelon feta salad and sausage pizza. The watermelon salad was a big portion and really refreshing for summer. Fornino's pizzas are very good, especially given the setup of this restaurant. If you're hanging in Brooklyn Bridge Park for the day, this is an idyllic place to enjoy lunch, dinner, or drinks. read more

I ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza and I was very disappointed. I initially went because I was craving pizza but it was a huge let down because firstly, the pizza was very burnt despite being thing. The crust tasted very ashy and the center of the pizza was still soggy. Also, they were very cheap with the toppings, only adding a few pieces of figs and prosciutto despite it being a fig and prosciutto pizza. I wasn't even able to taste the fig and the prosciutto was very salty making it very hard to eat. Overall, if you visit Time Out Market I would recommend going to a different restaurant because there were definitely other places that was way better for its value read more

Love the outside seating after being in the splash pad with the kids. And they have alcohol A+ in my mom book lol the employee cleaned as best they could it seems. But if people don't pick up after themselves then a bunch of birds are around the messy tables. Anyway, you order inside then they bring it to you i had no idea. They didn't have the liquor downstairs so after my husband paid he went upstairs kind of like a rooftop he said. I wouldn't know i was stuck downstairs with children . My oldest daughter (11)ordered max and cheese and said it was okay. Me and my husband were going to share the Margherita pizza. It was delicious. My youngest daughter had some and enjoyed it. We were also with a friend's daughter. She ordered the mac and cheese but didn't like it so my husband ate it. We ordered her a hot dog ahead of time didn't like that either said it was hard. I thought she was being a difficult kid but then my husband took a bite and said it definitely was hard and gross. I can't attest to that i didn't try it lol now the margarita was on point . They also had games for the kids to play and we ended the afternoon with some ice cream. Can't wait to go back. Also they also had pitcher's of water. Which was appreciated on a hot day read more

The food was quite good. I had the calabrese pizza and I added olives. Quite delicious. My boyfriend had the fried ravioli and the Caesar salad. Both were good. I wish I tried the calamari as well. read more

Specifically for the DUMBO TimeOut Market location: I was able to order ahead on the timeout app and just went over from our table to pick it up. Fornino is a beautiful spot to stop for lunch or dinner when exploring Brooklyn Heights! The view is a bit obscured due to the volleyball courts nearby, but still great. I believe their seating is only outdoors, so would not suggest coming here in the winter or on a cold day. The location is a walk from the closest subway as well, so make a day of it if you come and walk the Brooklyn bridge piers or to Dumbo. When we went, you ordered off the QR code on the table and someone brought out the food to you. We always like to ask the servers their favorites on the menu before ordering, but it was pretty difficult to stop someone. The food came very quickly. We ordered their watermelon salad and Al Roker Pizza. The watermelon salad was solid, with nice and sweet watermelons but a bit expensive for the quantity given. The Al Roker pizza was good; the roasted pepper flavor comes out well. Their pizzas are individual sized pizzas (or one person would likely eat at least 3 out of 4 of the slices). Overall, their food is good but nothing special. Since there's not too many food options that close to the water, I would certainly suggest this place if you're trying to explore this beautiful area! read more
Mhmm wood fired pizza. One of my favorite type of pizza. It's similar to the classic New York slice but taste more smokey and its. kind of thinner. The mushroom and margerita pizzas were on point. It tasted as expected. It was delicious and one almost felt like it wasn't enough. The mushroom pizza had a nice truffle taste to it and the margerita was your classic margherita style. I would absolutely get this again the next time I'm at time out market in Dumbo. By far one of my favorite restaurant in this food hall. read more
My friend and I went to the location inside the Time Out Market next to the Brooklyn Bridge. It's located on the 5th floor. Since it is in a food hall, we got food from a few different restaurants. I only mention this because we shared a pizza at Fornino, but if we had only been eating here, we would have each gotten our own pizza. We got the Calabrese pizza and I got a hibiscus lemonade. Everything was incredible. I don't live in NYC, but if I did, I would absolutely come here again! read more

At Fornino Brooklyn Bridge Park you'll find fantastic views of the city skyline and volleyball courts down below, absolutely delicious wood-fired pizza, and totally spaced out picnic benches in the open air. When the weather's nice, this is quintessential summer vibes in covid times, replete with icy cold palomas and an actual enforcement of mask wearing when ordering or when patrons are away from their own table. This location is very ideal for casual group hangs. You order drinks at the bar and food separately at a different counter. Paying the bill can get tricky with group meals, particularly when certain friends like to throw back a few more drinks than others, but when each person has to open their own individual bar tab splitting the bill is a non issue. I'm that certain friend, btw. They really know how to make great pies here, so if a pie sounds good to you, you're bound to enjoy it. The Melanzane, which has ricotta, basil, eggplant, tomato and parmesan was *chefs kiss* as was the Peaches E Prosciutto. They even had a cheeseless pie for our friend with a dairy allergy that was made delicious by the copious amount of garlic and olive oil on top. The crust is so good here that it carries its weight to make each pie delicious, with cheese or not. Aside from the pizza the smashed potatoes and rice balls were so tasty our small group quickly devoured two orders of each. We ended our meal with a round of paletas, these amazing popsicles they serve from the store La New Yorkina, with flavors like mango chili and horchata. On a hot summer's night we couldn't have asked for a more refreshing way to round out the evening. read more
Slightly overpriced but decent pizza, apps, and sangria pitchers! Definitely one of those places to go for the vibe but not necessarily if you are looking for good pizza spots. Although the outdoor seating area is nice, you don't actually get to see any views because you're blocked by trees and fences around nearby volleyball nets. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a vibey outdoor spot to enjoy nice pizza and beers/wine though! read more
Great spot to eat pizza with a view but that's about it. I've been to their Greenpoint location before and thought the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, I don't think this location met the same bar of quality. It wasn't bad, but nothing special either. We ordered the Funghi Misti (mushroom truffle) and Margherita Classica. Our pies came in less than 10 minutes. The crust was a bit on the soft side and the Funghi Misti could've used more truffle oil. They accept reservations and will give up your table if you do not arrive within 15 minutes. All staff wore masks; menus and tables were wiped down. To order, you have to go up to the front. Everyone was very understanding and accomodating. If you're looking for a casual place where you can sit down and have a nice meal with a view, this is a great place to consider. If you're a big foodie on a gourmet hunt for the best pie (or something to remind you of the times in Italy), I'd suggest checking the other pizza parlors near DUMBO or Fornino's Greenpoint location on a day where hopefully chef Michael Ayoub is in. read more
Mid-afternoon on a sunny Saturday, this multi-level pizzeria had less people than usual for lunch time. Took the opportunity to get a table for two on their rooftop dining area (with umbrellas for shade). Decided to split the "Al Roker" ($20), with the sopresatta on only one side of the pizza. After a short wait, pizza arrives - crust is thin and cooked well without being burnt. Cheese and sauce is evenly distributed, with the meat balancing out the sweet flavors. To drink, opted for one of their draft beers ($7), though the cocktails looked very intriguing. Service is abound and they do accommodate deviations from the pizza toppings. Aside from pizza, there are sandwiches and hot dogs as well, so there should be something for everyone. read more

What are the prices for cocktails?
Do they have a restroom? Or is it way outside the building?
Yes, they do. It's right on the corner of the building.
Are there happy hour specials?
No happy hour prices since I've been going. But the regular prices are fair and reasonable
Is the rooftop deck accessible for someone in a wheelchair?
Yes! There is a ramp that wraps all the way around the building. I personally have never used it, so I can’t attest to how steep it is, but the rooftop is wheelchair accessible.
Are dogs (pets) allowed in the patio?
Pets are allowed in the downstairs terrace, but not inside the downstairs cafe or the rooftop deck. Service animals and emotional support animals are allowed anywhere.
