Really great location and space for a coffee shop! And the decor and feel here is superb, with clean leather and wood feel. Coffee is excellent, the quality and flavors available are the best, and I love that they offer an 8oz size for a latte! With high quality espresso and more than one option, this place is perfect for those who love coffee. There are pastry and toast options for food, but the focus is on the coffee. I had the sweet and savory toast and the flavors were an excellent combo: berries, marscapone, thyme, cinnamon, and almonds made for a slightly sweet flavor on a quality sourdough toast and was a great start to my day. The cinnamon bun on the other hand, wasn't quite there. It wasn't warmed up and it felt more like a biscuit with cinnamon than a light and fluffy decadent pastry most of us expect. Stopped in Form & Function today just as it was starting to rain. This is such a cool space with good vibes! I had never been and their menu was very simple. The girl helping me explained that they made their syrup and chocolate in house. She talked me into a Caramel Lavender Mocha and I was quickly on my way. If you're into coffee art you definitely need to check this place out. The flavors in the mocha were very mild. This coffee shop adds something new to the coffee scene in Boise. They roast their own beans and make all their own pastries. They have taken the time to get involved in the community by putting on events such as the Latte Art Competition. The Vanilla Latte with Cashew milk (made in house) is outstanding, and its even better paired with their banana bread. The banana bread is like coffee cake with a subtle, perfect hint of banana. Unlike any others I have had before and definitely worth the try. If that pastry is good I would imagine they all would be. The customer service is extremely lacking. Multiple times we have walked in and said "hello!" Only to be greeted by silence. Then a "what do you want?" Amazing coffee and toast but some their staff are so inattentive and unpleasant. Three of them were behind the counter and were having a conversation with each other while my order was being taken. They then were showing each other something on their phones and laughing instead of working on orders. My coffee order didn't get called after it was done so it stood on the counter until I walked up there and asked whether it was mine or not. I was asked if my order was here or to go and I stated here, but was given a to go cup. Keep in mind I was the only one in line, they were not busy. Extremely uncaring.
