What I love about Garden City is it's hidden gems. All these new businesses are opening up. And you have to get directions to these joints to find cause they aren't on a busy road. I would have never known about this shop if it wasn't for Google or Yelp. I had an hour before closing so I headed in real quick for a caffeinated beverage. Pulling up to the joint, it doesn't look like your basic coffee shop. It honestly looks like an office building. I love that they had Disciples in big bold letters on the door. It was a nice sign that I am in the right place. Walking in, this place is cool. Cool in mood, cool in atmosphere and cool in vibe. It's really quiet and chill. A great place to have an intimate coffee date or work. I was instantly greeted by a gentleman behind the counter. He grabbed my order and got my drink started. I ordered my usual drink today. A small iced americano with cream. They didn't have any sugar free syrup options which is a bummer. He did ask if I want monk fruit or stevia sweetner, I passed on both. He did offer raw honey so I took up on that offer! He finished my drink and I noticed there wasn't any cream. It was filled to the top so it was pretty watered down. He did pour some of the coffee out and added the cream. The raw honey was nice but it still wasn't sweet enough for me so I added a packet of blue sweetner. It's a drinkable cup of coffee but it does lack flavor cause it was so watered down. I had really high hopes for this joint. After reading the reviews, I had high expectations. It looked like they pushed out great coffee! The venue and the gentleman were on point today but my drink was a flop. While waiting for my drink, I noticed all the cool patches from different police departments. Supporting our police departments is so important to me! They protect and serve us so they have my highest respect. I appreciate the different badges on display. I feel bad that I didn't really like my drink. I do want to come back and try again! I don't know if our addition of raw honey threw of dude while he was making my drink. This place is too cool not to come back. If I'm down Chinden again and I'm in need of a caffeinated beverage, I'll be stopping in here again. read more

The service is so wonderful. The place is owned by two brothers, and they refused my tip since they're so new and don't have employees yet! The guy in front of me even paid for my drink. They have almond milk and a 2% lactose-free option for those of us who are iffy with full milk products. I recommend the vanilla latte! The almond coconut is TO DIE. But be ready for a very sugary experience. The ambiance is so mellow and inviting. The music made it a very calming place to work. The BEST coffee in the Tresure Valley if not all of Idaho. My go to is a butter latte with maple syrup and raw milk. Almost everything is organic and the quality of their coffee beans are some of the freshest you can get your hands on. Good organic coffee is hard to come by, so I am so grateful this place exists. This coffee shop is not your typical national chain. It is warm, welcoming and inviting. It is somewhat off the beaten path but well worth finding. The coffee is outstanding and the service from the two brothers that run the store is top notch. They are very friendly and love talking about their business. They purposely have limited their coffee selections so they deliver only top quality products. Their pastries are from a local bakery which only enhances the local flavor of the store. They have ample parking in front and back and you can enter from both locations. They have music playing in the background but it is subtle. Seating is very comfortable and store seems very spacious even though it is not huge. This will become my one and only coffee shop because it is antithetical to the national super chains. read more

As you can see, this place is super cute and I love that it's so spacious compared to the usual cramped coffee shops. To say that the coffee scene in the treasure valley is competitive is an understatement. I've been to just about every artisan roaster and coffee shop in this area. And I have undoubtedly discovered my new regular spot. Not only was the coffee smooth and delicious, but the service was great as well. The folks at Disciple are passionate and generous, craftsman, Who really take serious pride in their work. I ordered a 12 ounce butter latte, made with Irish butter - and my only regret was that I didn't get the 16. Living in Nampa I'm about 30 minutes from Disciple coffee, but I will certainly be making it a regular stop during my morning routine before work. I also found that their merchandise was extremely fairly priced, and nothing about this place screams pretentious, or overly trendy. It's the type of business that will stick around for a long time, because of their commitment to excellence, kindness, and the customer. read more

Ok, so the Boise area has tons of coffee shops. This new (I think just opened this week?) coffee shop is now my daily regular. First off, the space. It is absolutely gorgeous. Warm, inviting and super comfortable. Also seems to feel larger than it actually is. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and build out here. Second, the employees. I am assuming this is the owner/owners that are actually running the shop. They were such nice guys. Super helpful and informative. Just genuinely caring and open people who definitely LOVE coffee....which leads me to - Third, the coffee. OMG y'all. I never knew hot nitro coffee was a thing. It is a thing. An amazing thing. I have never seen this before, and was somewhat hesitant to try it. I am beyond glad I did. Some of the drinks also contain butter and collagen. You can make your drink a healthy meal! The menu is simple, but that's not to say it is lacking. I would rather choose from 10-15 absolute top quality, top notch items than a book of subpar items. Draft Kombucha as well as some local pastries are available, too! Only thing I would suggest is adding this one drink I used to get from a little mom and pop cafe in my hometown of Folsom, Ca. It was a buttered Earl Grey tea latte. I think it would do very well during the cold Boise winters! I am fairly certain all coffee is roasted in house. Hopefully this product will start showing up in local restaurants and at other locations. Also of note- nitro coffee and Kombucha are available for purchase in kegs for your home draft system. I don't currently have one, but after chatting with these guys for a while, they could probably make that happen too! Nothing I love more than seeing a local product that absolutely destroys any of the nationals. Bravo, Disciples, bravo! read more
