So my usual nail place was busy and I really needed to get my nails done so I went down the street to Forever Nails and I wish I hadn't. There was no customers in the salon which should have been my first warning sign. They did start my nails right away, but the guy took an HOUR AND 40 MINUTES to do my nails. It should have taken an hour tops. And, as you can see in my pictures he cut my skin. He kept making excuses saying "today is not my day." Nah, sorry not an excuse for a poor job. People are nice here but seem to be in a rush.I have been here about three times & really wanted to like this place.I should of stuck to a gel manicure, I got acrylic pink clear nails and they look rough. One of the nails isn't even filled in all the way. Half of them are crooked and I asked them to fix it but it looked the same after it was "fixed". Nail tech who did them was also very rough and kept pulling and tugging at my fingers in ways that I have never experienced before. Won't be going back. read more

I guess I had high expectations after reading all of the great reviews. I drove over tonight in dire need of a new place in Vista for my go to Mani/pedi's. I arrived at 6:15pm only to find them lights off, business closed. Despite both the posted hours here on Yelp and clearly stated on the shop of being 9am to 7pm! This is one of the biggest pet peeves that I have, businesses that don't maintain their posted hours. If there had been a sign indicating they had closed early due to a special occasion or due to a vacation, it wouldn't have been as disheartening. This is a ZERO star nail salon. The reviews are mixed and inconsistent because they aren't reliable reviews. I went to my first two favorite nail salons, but they were very busy and I did not want to wait so I found Forever Nails via Yelp. I should have waited. I wasted my time and money. And tomorrow I will have to spend more time/money to have them done properly. I wouldn't be writing this review had I just waited... THE worst nail salon by far. Their nail-polish selection is pretty limited AND if you are actually lucky to finally find a decent color, it's more than likely dried out or nearly empty. So you end up settling for a color that you don't really want. My gel manicure was so thick and the nail-polish was on my fingers, despite the nail technician's hurried attempts to "clean" them. The nail salon is also hot/stuffy and there is noticeable dust and dirt throughout. Look at the baseboards, they are coated with nail debris/remnants. I will NOT return. read more

Just left Forever nails...have been a customer there for years off and on. I was shocked when I walked in. The place has look, fresh paint, new spa chairs, new nail stations and lots of new nail colors. Possibly even new owners. Of course price has gone up, but comparable to other places. I'm pleased with the care and time that they took. The young man who did my pedicure was great and my new dip nails look fantastic. Girl did a wonderful job. This is my spot, Doung and Kim are fantastic and always make every visit a fun and welcoming experience. Doung does my gel and acrylics every time and I've never had better nails. I'm really picky. His technique insures thin, narrow, natural acrylics that are basically impossible to get just walking in any random place. I experiment with different shapes, almond, coffin, etc. and with different trends like negative space, color changing and they're always up to date and able to achieve any request. This is a nail salon, they are sales people as well as artists, know what you want and speak up. The entire team cares about their customers and the quality of work that they do and if you express your needs or concerns they do everything in their power to make sure you leave happy. read more

I am still working so having a salon that keeps their appointment times is important to me. This salon does not. Walkins are accepted and often trump appointment times. Also, they will not do a manicure and pedicure at the same time so that means even more time in the shop. Sometimes one person does a manicure, then you have to wait for someone else to do a pedicure. This is not a shop for working people. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. The first time I went was great. Don did my nails and fixed a hack job from my old shop. Even called in Kim to do chrome for me since I was new and wanted it done. I feel that I paid a fair price. Went back a 2nd time, and I guess it was Kim and Don's day off. Some other lady fix my fill and repair nail, and it was TERRIBLE. Lumpy and uneven, didn't clean up the shape of my coffin nails, and left the repair nail as a square ! Now, I'm licensed myself and could see all this going down wrong. To top it all, I paid $24 plus tip. Not sure how that price was reached, since their menu stated that a fill is $13.99 and a repair is $2.99, and I literally only let her put clear regular nail polish on (I was going to design them myself. ) I will make sure I request Don or Kim, because I don't want to waste my hard earned money !! Edit: the nail she repaired just broke !!! It literally was so thin that it could not survive a gel removal!!! I'm really pissed right now. 1 week, and I need the same nail fixed ! read more

Every time I go!!! They just get sweeter and funnier...and I love how gentle they are with my natural nails. They take off my gel and put on gels so delicate that it keeps them strong. The décor is simple but very clean. No dust or weird hanging plants and crap. Sorta a mom and pop family run shop that's been in business for 20 years. Next to the Sub Way and Dairy Queen. I have a mixed review on this place. When I first came in they tried drawing my attention to a certain gel color palette that didn't have the colors i wanted. I wanted more of the nude/pale colors. I picked a very light pink that looks almost white. The lady tried bringing me a color that was almost bright pink convincing me it was the same one. I let it go and chose a light peach color instead. Yet again the lady came over with the "peach color" bottle and the color was bright coral. Still both of them tried convincing me "oh the sun changes the colors on the palettes", "it'll look really good on your skin". I have been getting my acrylics done for over 10 years now and have never had a pale color magically be bright in polish, usually the opposite once it's painted on. Instead of trying to lie to me and convince me Otherwise I would've rather them just say they didn't have the colors i was looking for. It was really frustrating. Other than that the man who did my nails was sweet and he did a good job on the shape of my coffin nails. I definitely won't be going back though. read more

Manhandling customers is not the way to get them back. The older gal that works here is not gentle, nice or patient. She won't listen to you and even argues with the customers. I've avoided her and always try to get the nice man that works there. Management needs to know that the older woman in this place is running business away. The service was great and they do awesome work. The place is very clean and the staff are very attentive.
