I like this place because it's close to my home. It's not super fancy. It's just kind of a neighborhood place. I really really wanted this to be my nail salon but I can't get over the fact that even though I tip $20 EVERY SINGLE TIME they always ask me for cash, now hear me out. We all pay taxes on our earnings. It irks me that every time I say no I don't have cash then they'll ask me well, do you have Venmo? And then they give the little sad face. You should see my sad face when I pay payroll taxes every week. It's not fun, but I have to do it. What they're doing is called tax evasion. It's criminal and they should be turned in. You pay taxes on all of your earnings and so do I and so should they. I will not be coming back. I hope if you read this review, you stop with the cash that they ask for and use your card. What they are doing is wrong.
Nice to find this spot in San Marcos. Idk how they do with acrylics and Gel as we always go in for a pedi and besides the fact that i've always had great pedi experience here, the price is excellent compared to other places . I had the pleasure or meeting Kim today as she did my regular mani and it was a great experience. Even though it was a regular mani, she was very purposeful . The color and quality turned out perfect. Thank you, Kim
Another outstanding experience with Swan Nails & Spa. We normally have Mong and Rose as our technicians; however, we have never had a bad experience with any of them (including others). Definitely recommend the shop if you are in the San Marcos area.
I got the regular manicure and pedicure this Monday 08/03 and came back this Thursday (today) to request my money back as my manicure looks awful. My toes look perfectly fine, I was only looking to get my money back for my manicure because there is an imprint on my thumb from the paint not drying correctly, you can see the layers from the gel color peeling in every single finger, and a chip in the nail. I have never been so disappointed as I always come to this salon and they do an amazing job. I thought they would be more understanding about my situation but the lady who I talked to at the front didn't even want to look at my nails at first, she just said "that's it. A regular manicure lasts days." Which is honestly such a horrible response because my toes look nowhere near as horrible as my manicure and they are both regular which I am expecting to last at least 7 days as I take good after care to maintain them. Will not be coming here again.
I just moved to town and this was four minutes away from my house. I walked in. They took me right away for a pedicure and a full set and really paid attention to detail. I have no complaints. They were one of the quickest full set and pedicure I've ever had. The women there are so experienced and professional. They knew exactly what to do and did every step and didn't rush my nails at all and didn't make them look sloppy. I had the best experience and can't wait to go back the women there were so sweet.

I was happy with the duration of and elements included in the pedicure service, especially for the price, however my skin was cut too far back and I was left with an infection. I'm not sure the instruments they used were sanitized, and obviously their protocol for callus and dry skin removal is less than stellar. What actually led me to leave this review is the fact that while I was receiving my pedicure, a client came back in complaining of a sore toe and asked for someone to help remedy the pain. So I'm obviously not the only person to have issues with poor service. Also, customer service was lacking. The woman started working on my feet without asking what service I wanted. I saw a menu and finally grabbed it on my own to show her what I wanted. The salon itself was nice enough, not anything fancy but it was well stocked with color options and the massage chair was comfortable.

Second time I've gone to Swan nails for a gel manicure and pedicure. I always leave pleased with my nails and their work. I definitely recommend.
I had such an amazing experience here. I called and got an immediate response from the owner. She got me booked and in within 10 minutes. My nail tech was Sophia and she was beyond accommodating. She helped me pick the perfect gel color after we tried a bunch on. The price for my gel set ($42) including my cat eye (extra $10) came out to $52 which was amazing. She cleaned my cuticles beautifully and with care. I will definitely be returning and referring people here!
They were a bit busy when I got there but was able to get a regular manicure with gel and a pedicure with regular nail polish/ calluses removed/ scrub and massage under 2 hrs and under $100 ! The smell of product was very strong so my husband and daughter waited in the car and I just braced my self they have a very extensive selection of colors and styles!

I did a walk-in towards the end of the day and they still took me in. I felt bad because I was the last client and we finished 5 minutes before they closed. I didn't feel rushed at all though! I also don't get my nails done often so I didn't really know what I needed. I just trusted Nick to make my nails look cute and sure enough he did :) read more
Love coming here! They do a wonderful job every time! Great environment, fast service and always seems available whenever I request time and sometimes that's last minute and they always accommodate and I never have to wait. They are also quick so I am in there for about 1 hour for both mani and pedicure read more

I was able to walk in and be seen immediately. I received the regular pedicure and for the most part it looks really good! There is just some polish around my toes that wasn't removed but overall, for a pedicure under 30 bucks, I was very happy! read more

This place is honestly horrible 3 days after I got my a new acrylics set here my nail color started chipping off mind you I wear gloves when doing dishes ect so I take great care of my nails , I contacted the manager so that I can do a color change since this one is was completely chipping off she stated I can come in an end up charging me another $58 for the change of color! Told me last minute it was considered a new set so ridiculous.....Worst customer service ever don't waste your time or money here. read more

The last thing I want to do is go back to have you guys "clear" it up... I am waking up every morning with blood that I have to clear up and I can also see a cut. If I could give 0 stars I would. I checked previous reviews and this is not the first time this complaint has been made. You guys really need to make sure you are listening and paying attention to your customer complaints. I am most likely going to need to make a doctor's appt if this does not clear up. read more

My daughter and I visited Swan Nails for the first time today and we were very pleased with our services. The shop is small and when we went in, it was in the middle of a busy rush (around 4p.m. on a Tuesday). We didn't have appointments but they were able to take us for a full acrylic set for me and a gel manicure pedicure for her. ($115 pre-tip) I didn't get the name of the woman who did my daughter's nails, but I appreciated her attention to detail and gentle touch while working with my daughter. She did an especially good job placing large glitter on her small fingernails to ensure consistent coverage so both her mani and pedi came out great. Allie did my full set and I have to rave about how well she executed my IG inspo. I am always nervous about bringing inspo to a place I've never been to, but I said screw it and asked anyway. I'm so glad that I did because the end result was exactly what I wanted down to the smiley face with Xs for the eyes just like in the inspo pic. I asked for black paint instead of the brown pictured. In addition to the solid mani execution, she did a solid job on the acrylics making them smooth and not too thick like I've had done at other places. I hope these last because I love this set! My only concern is the almost overwhelming chemical smell when you first enter the shop. It's not a large space and they kept the door open while I was there, but the smell was pretty strong for the first 20 mins we were there. I guess I got used to it after that. Haha. A fan or air purifier/filter might do the trick for the staff and customers to breathe a little easier. Net-net, I would def recommend this shop as well as the two techs i worked with (though, they all seemed capable and attentive). We will be back! read more

First time at this salon and I am super happy with the result! I was a walk-in for a full set and was taken care of rather quickly. The nail technician who helped me with my services was very polite even when I changed my mind on the initial design. Kim did a flawless job on my nails, she spent a decent amount of time hand filling making sure I was left with the perfect shape. I'm so happy with how they came out. I will be coming back!! My son and husband also had wonderful experiences. They were very sweet and gentle with my son. read more
The overall experience was wonderful. Everyone had masks on and it was my friend and my first time getting our nails done in a very long time. I got a regular pedicure and love it. It was $25 + tip for a pedicure. My friend got dip nails in a pinkish color to match a dress that she is wearing to an upcoming wedding. The color is perfectly matched and was so excited! The next morning she woke up and noticed that her nails are now an orange like color and is disappointed. There was nothing stating a color change and she did not ask for a color changing dip. It's not the end of the world but the color doesn't match the dress anymore and it was just a bit disappointing. It was $45 + tip for dip manicure. We had a great experience getting our nails done and just recommend making sure the polish color won't change if you're getting dip. read more

What is the difference between gel and dip?
I would normally say that dip doesn't require uv/led light while gel does. However, swan has a dip that uses uv/led light, so specifically request the non light version if desired.…
