Great addition to the neighborhood. Nice spot to get some work done, staff are friendly, and the coffee is great! Inside is bright, spacious, and has a chill Japandy vibe read more

This place is the PERFECT coffee shop in beautiful forest hills. It is SO clean, so cute and aesthetically pleasing, and not to mention their coffee is TOP notch. It is a great place to relax and get some work done or chat with a friend, while enjoying a great matcha or latte. The staff is SO friendly and really welcoming. This place isn't loud or overcrowding with screaming teenagers like every Starbucks in nyc. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants QUALITY coffee (not the watered down Dunkin Donuts trash) and baristas who care about their products. read more

Forest Cafe - Oat milk latte and an A rating! Woohoo! - Cafes Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

a lovely spot outside the hustle and bustle of forest hills proper. it was a nice place to sit and read, and the hojicha latte + pistachio croffle were great. i think the croffle would be better warmed up but it was still good! read more

Delicious ube latte in a nice, open space on a residential block. The croffle was delicious and will be part of the menu soon. The staff is friendly, and so many people commented about how this is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, especially in an area with a dearth of businesses. read more

Great ambiance clean and friendly staff. Cold brew I ordered was good, the glazed waffle I had was okay. Would have loved more food variety.

This place just opened and I know that a lot of new businesses have their friends leave glowing yelp reviews but I'm just a typical customer that happened to stroll in and felt the need to leave them a good review because I liked it here so much. The cafe decor is very hip yet laid back. The vibe inside is chill and friendly and the space is immaculate. For drinks, they have your typical coffee house standards as well as some fun inspired drinks such as an Ube latte. They also have a full menu of milk alternatives (soy, oat, almond, etc). My drink was on point and the service is warm and friendly. Sadly, I didn't get to try a pastry because I got there late in the day they were all sold out, but what people were eating looked delish. (They just opened so I'm sure they are still learning what quantities of goods to have on hand). I'm happy that a place like this opened in the neighborhood. Wishing these guys luck!!! read more

The Cafe provides excellent cuppa- I highly recommend the Americana; it's the perfect strength. The staff are terrific and friendly - especially to a codger like me. The clientele are young and interesting. Definitely worth a visit, John OG read more

Space is a bit tight, and there's a bit of line (5-10 minutes usually), but here's the thing: these very nice and efficient owners, and staff, are real pros. By this I mean that their central product - coffee (and all its desired variations) - is as good as it gets. Anywhere. Consistently prepared and always with a smile. Why go elsewhere? read more

I did not know this place was around. The coffee and waffle where very good. Great atmosphere to do some work or meet someone. The baristas where friendly and had good attitudes. read more

I'm in love with this place's aesthetics, drinks, music playlist and staff. I came here to do some work and it was the perfect place to do so. There was a lot of natural light and almost every seat had access to an outlet from what I could see. Highly recommend for a chill spot to drink and read a book/do some work. read more

Best coffee I've had this year! But seriously I had a delicious mocha cappuccino . Stop by this new neighborhood gem. The folks who own it are super nice. read more

I've been on the hunt for a good local cafe for a really long time. This might be the place! The coffee is actually good, not sour or too acidic. It's just right and the croffle is delicious. Everyone who works here is so nice and the place is so cute to work from. Two negatives though is that it's quite far away and is more a place for locals. Secondly, I wished the croffles were served warm or freshly made! read more

Forest Cafe - Pistachio croffle and iced Forest latte with oatmilk - Cafes Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

A staff was friendly and it was a nice place to do work. I met up with a friend had a nice chat. The Hojicha Latte was good but full of ice. I think it would've been better with less ice. read more

If you're in the neighborhood you HAVE to try it. It's run by the sweetest family. They have specialty items you definitely can't get at big box store like Starbucks and the coffee and croffles are top notch. Trying the ube latte, hojicha latte and the shakerato is a must. I'm so glad they have arrived! read more

The cold brew here is the best in the neighborhood. There's plenty of outlets of you bring a laptop.

A lowkey cafe with a ton of space to catch up with friends and plenty of outlets to sit and work at. They also have the friendliest staff! I got the ube latte with oat milk (which was SOO good), and will def be coming back to work here again read more

Forest Cafe - Cafes Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

Average cafe for the neighborhood. Clean and cute place but coffee is just ok... and need to work on the latte art..

This is a great establishment to have in the neighborhood, I would like them even more if they did not charge an extra 75 cents to pour a small amount of alternative milk into a drip coffee. This charge is highly excessive for a small amount that maybe costs 10 cents at most and many places are moving away from it as people like me have lactose allergies and can't have regular milk in our coffees. read more

Love this place especially the forest latte. Service is really fast too and the interior design is just beautiful. Their lattes are speciality so the location definitely serves a niche community. Dog friendly and a neighborhood staple for sure! read more

Absolutely amazing, great service with friendly staff. It is a cute place that's fantastic for chilling out and studying. It has tasty drinks with alternative dairy options ( almond, oat and soy), I got the hojicha latte with oat milk. I will have to come back to try the croffle. A must if you are a coffee/latte lover and in Forest Hills. read more

This place is the best, with a lovely atmosphere that feels both accommodating and full of vibes it's clear why people from all over forest hills keep talking about this place! I live over 5 miles from here yet after hearing so many of my friends rave about a cute cafe in an unsuspecting neighborhood, I knew I had to give it a try. Just a train and bus ride later and I was talking to an adorable barista (I think her name was caitlin) who was very helpful in recommending me a drink and the best way to have it! Since then I've come back here multiple times to enjoy myself and the ridiculously quiet area it is situated in, with almost no cars and tons of nice and friendly neighbors, it's obvious to me why the owner chose to have a cafe here! They also have a lovely weekend session where no studying or large electronic devices are allowed on premises, allowing you to have a nice chat sesh with your friends with an abundance of seats! read more

My walking buddy and I stopped into Forest Cafe on Tuesday afternoon, and I liked it a lot! Have passed by many times and seen how crowded it was, so it's currently wildly popular. The staff is friendly and attentive, eager to help and inform about the items on the menu. My friend and I ordered the ube latte, which was really delicious! It's possible to get it with shots of espresso, which I think I will try next time. I have to come back for that and to try a croffle! This is a great addition to the neighborhood, and I will be back numerous times for their calming atmosphere, great coffee drinks, and for the people- and dog-watching (there were a lot of dog-walkers pausing outside and reading the menu or chatting; the dogs weren't coming in, LOL). Great job, Forest Cafe! Can't wait to see what you come up with next. read more
