These guys are awesome. Honest and don't take advantage of people in need. I had to travel from West Covina and they knew it. Hammed and Romeo were superb and know what it takes to make a customer happy. They priced me super low of what the dealership could. Just to give you an idea on how good these guys are; the Chevy dealership in Glendora,CA could not even figure out how to make the copy using a bent key. In no time, Hammed made it and on top of that gave me a discount just because I came from West Covina, CA. Money matters but when a service is provided and is outstanding; you don't mind paying more; but even here; I was charged decently. I stopped in after calling around to find someone that could make laser cut keys from an original. The guys were helpful and were able to make my keys for a reasonable price. I appreciated that even though his computer couldn't recognize my Land Rover key at first, he persisted. Many would have given up. When we realized that the key might be similar to a Ford, we were in business! (Ford owned LR in the mid-late 2000s). Keys work perfectly in the ignition when I got home. I did not ask them to program as I have the software for that. There was a steady stream of people that came in while I was there. They were able help people with a Ram truck key and fob programming, spare keys for an F150, a Lexus fob with dead battery and a trailer hitch lock with no key. Everyone was treated well and left happy. There were quite a few safes to look at while waiting. The store had an old school feel to it, which I like. Appreciate the service, overall a very good experience and I will use them in the future. read more

Quick and easy, they worked with me to cut a key for my Audi. The dealership wanted over 100 for just a key. I bought a blank off eBay for 10 bucks and had it cut here for less than 20 if I remember correctly. (the machine they use is pretty high tech for the types of keys Audi's have. Been using them for 20+ years. I liked how my keys could only be duplicated by my wife or I with proof of ID and a list of authorized people in there shop. relocated to SPAS, had a shady repairman we had given a key to, so we called them to rekey our door. I didn't realize the store had been sold to new owners(about ten yrs ago). The older gentleman came, changed the lock, we paid, and he left. A few hrs. later, we went out the front door and noticed that the antique door knob assembly we had purchased at a Connecticut antique auction had been replaced with a home depot model. The guy stole our front door assembly! We called the store, the manager had the guy come back and he said we were welcome to look in the back of his truck and denied anything was wrong. This was 2-3 hours later. It turned into a he said she said. I don't know what else to say...maybe a bad employee. read more

Great customer service and good prices. I recently locked myself out of my apartment and both the building mgr and maintenance man were gone. So I looked for a locksmith, called and they came within 30 minutes. Unfortunately there was a problem with my doorknob and he couldn't get in. They called me back promptly after that and offered me a great price to replace the knob for me. The only reason I didn't go through with it is because it's not my name on the lease. But they didn't give up, they called and wanted to try again for a solution, which I really appreciated, I didn't want to be stuck outside in 100 degree heat. Today I came home to find that my door handle/keyhole were jammed. Or at least that's what I thought. I called Foothill Lock & Key and they said they'd send someone in 30 minutes after I explained I needed to be somewhere in a couple hours. Jay came within 30 minutes and was super helpful and made me feel much more at ease throughout the whole ordeal. After going through the handle which I was sure was the problem, we come to find out that the third lock (the one that can only be locked from the inside) was locked somehow. It perplexed both of us and he amazingly conducted surgery on the t-turn THROUGH THE HOLE OF THE DOOR HANDLE with a mirror and hooked it to unlock it slowly but surely. I don't even think this is in their scope of work but he saved me my door. The only other solution would be to break the window or to cut the door. I still don't understand how he unlocked the t-turn which can only be locked/unlocked from the inside. He helped fix my door and I am on my way to where I need to be thanks to Foothill Lock & Key. Jay's patience is truly a virtue. I was ready to break a window or have the door broken but he told me to give him 5 more minutes. He saved me a bunch of money on a new door by telling me he can do what I thought was impossible and actually delivering. Customer service was fantastic and I will never call another locksmith. The last "locksmith" service I requested quoted me $50 over the phone and charged me $145 in person, took 1 hour to reach my location, and left me with damages to my vehicle. Needed some cabinet keys made. Went to 4 different key makers / locksmiths including Home Depot before coming here. They were all either out of my key blank, or didn't stock it. (It is a National cabinet lock which is pretty common). Nothing special. I was in and out of Foothill lock and key in about 5 minutes. In addition the price was reasonable. Quick & friendly service. I have this goofy two sided key for my truck that I've had trouble copying in the past. I lost a set of keys, and had to get it replaced, these guys did it no problem, even though they thought it may or may not work. Not sure about the other reviewer's complaint about cars, but we used them to re-key locks at home and they were super. Someone arrived within a few hours even though the service wasn't an emergency, and the tech arrived exactly at the time I was told. We did have a small issue with one of the locks within a week, but the tech came back and fixed the issue within an hour of my phone call...on their own dime...completely warrantied...no discussion. He even replaced the lock with one better than we had. read more
