UNTRUSTWORTHY BUNCH OF SCAMMERS in every sense of the word. I am not one to write reviews but I've decided to do so because this might save someone (and his/her money!) 1. The locksmith, Jay, just quoted any price he wanted. He overcharged me and installed a system that didn't even make sense! I called him out on it!!! - He installed the wrong locks just to charge me more money. 2. Another locksmith came, installed the right locks, and warned me about how corrupt this company is! That's when I continued to dig deeper. 3. When I asked he manager, Nick, about the cost and the incorrect system and WHY they was so expensive, he said he did not know and would have to check with the locksmith. This means that they don't even have a set prices on their products and the workmanship!! (WHAT???) - Because he knew I was unhappy with the service, he started promising me things (THAT I NEVER ASKED FOR) and went back on his word- something as small as calling me back by a certain time and something as big as accusing me of lying when I asked him about the things he promised!!!!! - He yelled at me multiple times and talked down to me. 4. As if that wasn't sketchy enough, THE OWNER, ROMEO, IS EVEN WORSE - He told me [about HIS manager], "Do not trust Nick. He doesn't know anything." (WHAT?!?!? THEN WHY IS HE HIRED?!?!?!) - He tried to cheat me of a couple hundred bucks and because I calculated everything properly, I CALLED HIM OUT ON IT. That's when I knew that this company was untrustworthy on every level. In the end, I had to ask them to uninstall the locks and GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY. This company is corrupt on every level and in every way. Instead of gaining the sense of safety and good locks, they gave me more STRESS, WORRY, MEAN words being said of me, the need to find locks from another company and an AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Be careful of these guys!! They seem nice on the surface level but you need to dig a little deeper to see the corruption! read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SKETCHY COMPANY!! WARNING I'm surprised this establishment is still in business - I just remodeled an entire house and foothill lock & key takes the cake for being the worst vendor. Nick (do not work with) misquoted every lock fee and labor fee over the phone. Upon install the on site service tech explained that this happens all the time due to the lack of communication. To me it's a code of ethics and is illegal. Be aware of a misc service charge, 2 fees of 15 dollars for re keying each lock and a high labor charge. I'd be a happy customer if the bid was accurate and/or at least in the same ball park I'd be happy to pay. I was very specific and even sent photos of the locks I needed to be installed and once again the estimate over the phone was nowhere close to the promised bid. Do not deal with Nick here. read more

called a few places on yelp, well 5 to be exact. Romeo and nick ( I think these are their names ) ... were very pleasant and respectful over the phone. I got my ford truck (2002 f150 xlt...) spare keys reprogrammed here. Took about 5 minutes each...very very fast...out of the 5 places, this place was the cheapest (by $12), and the nicest. 3 other places were nice on the phone, one place didn't seem to giva shit about my business...I ended up with foothill bcuz they were open until 7. In anycase, good prices, service and you get a nice feeling doing business with them. read more

These guys have been dealing with an aged security door at our house, which we insisted on keeping no matter what (they just don't make em like this anymore). They jumped through all sorts of technical hoops to get the door and lock functioning again, when other locksmiths just passed the buck. Called and went to this locksmith for a Honda Pilot laser car key cutting. They were very friendly on the phone and so are all personnel at the shop. Also their price was far better than any of the locksmith I called. Their shop are very well equip and their laser Key cutting machine is state of the art. I had a problem with my 2003 Toyota door locks after we came home from Thanksgiving. I thought someone had damaged the locks trying to break in to the car. I removed the lock assembly and took it to our local locksmith and found out they were out of business. It was hard to find a brick and mortar lock shop nearby. My Toyota dealer said that they used Foothill Lock and Key. I went there and gave them the lock and 2 keys to see if it could be repaired. After close inspection they told me that the problem was not the lock, it was the keys. For a very fair price they cut me two new keys by code. They did not use a duplicator machine. Hint, the code is on the lock frame. All is well now. No problems. While I was there they were kind enough to let me park in their company truck lot behind the store because I could not lock my car with the lock removed. I will definitely go here again when the need arises. read more
