My wife and I stopped here on Sunday and I filled her car up with gas. This is one of the lowest prices in the area of La Crescenta. This gas station has a convenient store, so if you need some snacks or something you might find it here. The gentleman working there was very pleasant. Update 7/8/22: The Owner (Joseph) was kind enough to speak with me on the phone today & was hoping to resolve this issue by mainly hearing me out. I really appreciate that I got such a quick response through the Phillips 66/76 company & although I cannot take down this review due to his current Assistant (who was actually the person I encountered during this incident, apparently he takes over after 3PM) still actively working here I am hoping that what was discussed over the phone today is taken seriously soon. I will keep updating this review whenever necessary. Also, I have changed the rating of this review from 1 to 2 stars just because it seems like this situation is actually being taken seriously & very quickly from Joseph. -- I recently filed a complaint concerning this gas station & it's *Assistant on July 7th, 2022 to the LA County Agricultural Commissioner/Weights & Measures as well as the official 76 company. You can read the extended & more detailed version of what I submitted below: "While I was filling up at this station today, gas started to leak from the fuel nozzle & quickly overflowed out of the side of my car. It did not automatically stop like it should have once the gas tank reached its maximum, which it had seconds prior, causing my gas tank to be over-filled. In order to stop the gas from continuously pumping I had to pull the nozzle out of the fuel opening of my car, breaking the lock holding up the trigger, which did eventually stop the gas from flowing out. To make things worse, the *Assistant (*not Joseph the owner who works before 3PM) of this gas station chose to immediately react aggressively towards me when I initially let him know what happened & did not at all consider taking responsibility for his clearly faulty pump. I asked if he could help me at all, suggesting he could give me something to clean the gas leak on the side of my car/on my foot & he said he couldn't do anything about it. He also said he couldn't leave the store when I asked him if he could do anything about what I believed to be a fairly concerning situation with my car's over-filled tank &/or his broken gas pump, but just as I gave up & walked back out to my car he actually followed me all the way out just to quickly argue towards me (not "with" but "towards") that there was no issue since he sees no gas leak. He repeated his "observation" of seeing no gas leak several times before walking back inside. However, this was only the case because the gas that leaked out of the side of my car had already evaporated. You could see on the floor, however, evidence that gas definitely leaked out. I also got gas on my left socked foot (I was wearing a medical boot at the time) & the strong gas smell was undeniable, both on my car & my foot. This man should not be (*working for) any business & this gas station (*does not seem) well maintained. I am not the only person who has complained about the *Assistant (please see other Yelp reviews for reference). I have already filed a report on this gas station/it's *Assistant through lacounty.gov, however it looks like this man has been (*working at) this station & along with that has also been complained about for years. I do believe he should not have this job & hope that this complaint, as well as all the others, will finally be taken seriously because this was a hazardous situation & I did not feel safe nor did I feel like said hazardous situation was taken at all seriously. I will NEVER stop at this 76 ever again just for the sake of my own safety & peace of mind (*unless circumstances change). I am also prepared to take my business elsewhere (referring to all 76 gas stations) if nothing is done about this particular incident right way. Either this station needs to be shut down due to its (*seemingly) unkept & potentially dangerous fueling stations or the current *Assistant needs to be fully replaced due to neglect & unfair treatment towards customers. Please consider taking this seriously, not just for the customers at this station but for ALL of your customers." read more

I personally never had any issues here. I pump gas, pay, and get out. I never actually went inside the store either. But honestly if you just want a gas station where you can pump and go, this place will get the job done. I do believe if you open up a 76 credit card, you get a discount so if you regularly pump at 76, you should highly consider getting their credit card. read more

Probably the nicest 76 gas station I have ever been to! The employees in the morning are extremely polite and courteous! I love how they have remodeled it as well. The LEDs do it justice! read more

I don't know if there are any differences in the quality of gas compared to other companies, but I do know there is a differences in grades of gas....haha I've been using this gas station for a while and the prices are usually on the slightly cheaper side than other nearby cities. It's clean and close. What more can I possibly say about a gas station?? read more

The old guy that works here is so rude!!! I actually stopped getting gas here because of his nasty attitude, but unfortunately I had no choice today. I went in and asked for $20 gas on pump number 4. He never smiles. I asked for a receipt and I think that annoyed him because he kind of threw the receipt at me. Then, I go to pump the gas and it wasn't turned on yet, meanwhile other patrons who were there after me were already pumping their gas. So I went back in and told him it's not working. He yelled at me and said I'm not pumping it right so I go back to test it ( same way as before and all of the sudden it's working) I got in my car while the pump was on and was going to get out to put the pump back and before I got a chance I see the guy rushing out to yank the nozzle out of my car and slam it back in onto the gas pump. "Hey," I said, "Don't touch my car!!!" He yelled he didn't want me to drive off with the nozzle attached. I told him to mind his business and leave me alone. I also told him I wanted to speak to somebody at the corporate office and I asked for the manager. He barked back at me that he is the manager and I told him to his face that he is rude and that's why I stopped coming to that gas station and he needs to not judge people. Will never come back. If you want poor abusive service from the most crotchety, bitter old guy in Montrose, be my guest. I'm done with this place. Ps. The other employees are nice. *POP* there goes the cherry. hehe first review. i usually go here to fill up on gas and to get my usual pack of Natural American Spirit when i run out. the people here are very nice and i've been here so many frickin times, i'm like a regular. the spot is only a few blocks from my house so it's super convenient and the freeway is just a hop skip away. i haven't scientifically tested the gas here but so far my car hasn't exploded into flames, so it's all good. wtf else can i say, it's a gas station! read more

Bought a full tank of gas and they wouldn't let me use the restroom. The man looked me up and down and then tells me hesitantly that the restroom is not available. No sign on the door saying its out of order either.. just a total eff you. I wouldnt recommend this for auto care either.. how would you like to sit waiting for a car repair when they don't have a bathroom you can use. read more

I would get gas here because it is close to my house, but I won't be back. The owner is rude, repulsive, and downright Undeserving of good business. I went in, but all I had was a 100.He tells me he doesn't have change. Ok, so I will wait. I figure no big deal.He goes on to say there are many other gas stations.I know the area .What's his point ? Well , a few Different customers go in and out. He still doesnt want to give me change. He claims he needs it for customers.What am I ? Standing there for my health ? He then tells me to come back in an hour. Yeah , cause my whole purpose is to make my Life more inconvenient for a despicable thing like him. I emailed corporate to complain and see if they are aware of other yelp reviews on this man. They called me back once. I called back and was told they are working on it?? Never heard back! So I'll call tomorrow. I hope they handle this and take it seriously. I thought they were since the responded to my email so quickly to talk to me. I am disappointed I haven't heard back yet. Message to owner. Please check your gas gauge. I took 2 five gallon cans for my boat. Everywhere I go, it only comes to 9.4 gallons because you can't completely fill these 5 gallon cans. I've been filling these for a long time. Your pump actually went over 10 gallons. This is impossible which leads me to believe you are overcharging your customers. read more

Gas is cheaper here than other local gas stations.. its always atleast .10-.20 cents cheaper per gallon. you can also have a cheaper rate if you go inside and pay with cash. they have a great snacka rea insdie with fresh coffe every morning and almost every other snack item that you crave. they have a pretty decent snack shop. read more
