I have been here on a couple of occasions- not by choice. The first I was going to get a smog check and the place I normally go to was closed. I asked who they would recommend, and they recommended Pete's. They were able to complete my smog check in a timely manner. Very courteous and professional. The second time I was leaving the gas station and the air went completely out of my tire. As I was in a panic, the air ran out just as I hit Pete's. They got me in fairly quickly and were able to determine was punctured the tire- they patched it up and sent me on my way. Next time I need any repairs, I am coming to Pete's! read more

We've been looking for a good mechanic near by. We found Pete's Auto. Our family car needed new brakes and alignment. So we tried our luck. We took the car in. They recommended that we change the rotors on the car, which I agreed to. They aligned the car as well. When I got the car back the alignment seemed off. The shop and I spoke and they aligned it again at no charge, seems that there was a problem with the shocks on the car that was throwing it off. Very kind and professional shop. I'll be using them moving forward for my cars. read more

Went in to have my brakes inspected for my 2019 Dodge Challenger SXT and the front were bad. No upsale or anything. I almost thought they were losing money with how low the price was especially considering I have New York tags on the vehicle. Father and son shop and brought my car in late on a Thursday (3pm) and had it the next day (10am). I found my mechanic for everything. Possibly the only way I could have saved money would have been to do it myself. Highly recommend. read more

My family has been going to Pete's for a long time and I have no complaints. They are honest hard-working and get your issues done fast.

Best place ever - Just go. 'Nuff said. They will do you right just go, man. Never had better car service before this. Amazing communication, super friendly, fixed my car so fast and even undid some baloney that another mechanic had caused. Worth every visit and every penny. read more

Family owned, fair pricing, excellent quality. Vic did a great job on my alignment! I did not have to wait very long even though I hadn't made an appointment. read more

For some reason this business doesn't seem to understand that there are happy customers and not so happy customers. I see there are some that had good experiences at Pete's but my experience was NOT a good one. I did NOT leave happy; I was inconvenienced and told to go elsewhere for some reason after my car was diagnosed by their team. I had to take a day off and I had my car towed to the dealer. (This writing is an update after the owner wrote a book in response with o my initial post). I'm writing this one to let this company know that it's ok that everyone is not pleased with their service; my experience is just what happened; this is not to demean or defame...every customer is entitled to their perspective and opinion. Me PERSONALLY, after MY experience, I wouldn't go back. read more

Called on Monday to ask if I needed to schedule an appointment for a smog check. Paul (Pete's son) responded that it's quick and to come by anytime on Friday between 8:30AM - 4:30PM. I came in on Friday and was out in less than 10 minutes. Awesome customer service! Will continue to come back! read more

Thank you for your honesty and prompt service... I think I found my new mechanic shop. Thank you gentlemen was a pleasure...

Wow!!! These guys are amazing that work here. Highly recommend them. We had our wheel studs break off and lost a tire at 8 am on Saturday. Everyone else said No, they were too busy. These guys were very friendly and said they would help if we got the studs. They fixed it, and we were on the road again in 15 mints. Saved our trip that was on a tight deadline. Thank you so much Pete's Complete Auto Shop. We are soooo grateful. read more

The owners were so helpful getting my smog check squared away for an older car I am registering with the dmv. Not only was service fast but they were up front with me about how my car would fail smog since I had lights on in my dash. Instead of taking my money and failing me, they offered to inspect my car and attempt to find the issue. Not only did they find the issue, they also repaired it same day and my car passed smog with no issues. The owner had me pay only once he knew my car was fixed. I will be coming back here again thanks to their honesty and expertise. Could not recommend these guys more read more

I like to get the most for my dollar so I researched the best tires and Shock obsorbers online prior to my visit. Paul did a great job getting the parts for even a better price and was able to get all the parts delivered the very next day. The labor was very reasonable and they gave me a free oil change and front wheel alignment. My drove drove amazing and I can't wait to see the improvement in the MPG. read more

Have been driving by Pete's Auto Repair shop and decided to swing for my car's smog check. Called and was told to come in due to availability. Went in and was attended to. Great customer service - was tended to immediately. The team was polite and kind - I felt safe being there. I was able to pull in and be serviced instead of waiting around for assistance. Price is great and the beauty of it all was the speed. Quick service and great customer service - they nailed it! It's hard to find great shops that don't try up selling or causing more headaches than solutions, but happy to have found Pete's. I highly recommend them. read more

I drive from the SF Bay Area to SoCal monthly and this time my truck overheated going up the grapevine but not until I got onto the 210 the gauge warning came on. I waited for my motor to cool down and added some water. I started calling around to have my engine checked out. Fortunately I was able to speak with Paul and explained what had happened. He said to come over and they will check it out. I was glad because some shops won't take you in without appointments. Paul greeted me when I got there and he said they will look at it as soon as it cools down. I went to a local coffee shop to wait. In a couple of hours Paul called me and said he tested out the coolant system, topped off the coolant and test drove it to make sure it was safe. I was very happy because I still had 3 hours to drive in hot and heavy traffic. Paul and his Dad both assured me it was good to go! Thanks guys. Highly trusted and worthy. read more

Great family owned business. Just wish they didn't close so early on Saturdays and maybe didn't rush me out and make me feel a little uncomfortable. As for the service I can say it's good and fast (oil change) but sometimes they forget to fill up the other fluids. Also, wish they had an actual waiting area. read more

I can't recommend Pete's Auto highly enough. I called to see if they had time to replace my brake pads, and not only did they fit me in, but they were also incredibly friendly and upfront about the cost. When I arrived, they informed me that my rotors also needed replacing. I decided to go ahead with it, and when it was time to pay, they honored the original price quoted for just the brake pads labor and didn't charge extra for the rotors--something other places would definitely not do. The service was outstanding, and they've gained a customer for life. Five stars all the way! read more

Hopped on Yelp to find a smog shop and found Pete's. I called and he immediately answered the phone and and said to call him first thing in the morning. I called that morning and he answered on the first call (That doesn't seem to happen anymore). I showed up and he started working on my jeep right away. I was in and out in a very short time. He let me know on what problems I may have the next time because the jeep is pretty old. I felt that he was very honest and really appreciates his customers. I'm definitely going back to him for all my repair needs. He has very good prices and you know your not getting ripped off. It's been a struggle to find honest straight forward mechanics. It's nice to finally find one. Thanks Man! read more

2nd time rating this shop. They're so helpful that even though they're closing, they still help me remove a stuck stud out of a center link. I work on my cars always because I don't trust no one to touch my car. These guys, I don't mind bringing my car because they look like they'd work on it with care. read more

What can I say? It's time again for that dreaded smog check, and the only silver lining is receiving Paul's incredible customer service. He's quick, polite, and professional. Pete's Complete Auto Repair - Another successful Smog check on 1995 740il - Auto Repair Near Me - Tujunga, California

Do you ever cringe when you have to get a smog check and think of the messy, hole-in-the wall kind of places that do that? Well, I looked around my part of town and luckily found Pete's. It's got an iconic triangular roof with a nice red paint job, which is fun and makes the shop easy to find. I had a great experience there. It was very brief, which is exactly how a smog check should be. I was so happy with the helpful friendly service that I went home and brought back my husband's car for a smog test also! read more
