This would be the second time I've had Foosacklys but the first time for a review. Canes is the place here in Louisiana but Foosacklys? I'll take that over Canes any day and I think Canes is pretty good. Of course the food comes out piping hot. The tenders are very crunchy which was surprising. The fries were also just as crunchy even tho I didn't eat them right away. Smaller than Canes tenders but the crunch and the seasoning makes up for it. I got the bigger box with 7 tenders it comes with 3 sauces of your choice. The variety of sauces got me hooked. Foo sauce, ranch and honey mustard. The toast could definitely be changed I don't like the thin toast. The coleslaw wasn't bad but also not memorable. The service was quick and the staff really nice and welcoming. However, the tenders are not as good as Canes and certainly not as good as Daves Hot Chicken. Daves is off the charts awesome and Canes tenders are bigger and crisper. This Mobile candidate for chicken joints has a strong showing. We don't have one locally, so when we were nearby to one, I decided to try it out. I wasn't super hungry, so I opted for the kids meal, and they offered to upsize the drink for a nominal charge; great idea! Meal comes with 2 fingers and a lot of fries; I thought it was generous for a kids meal. One of my kids had said they prefer Foosakly's because the batter/breading is lighter than other chicken joints. Must say I agree, as I prefer non-super-crunchy chicken fingers. Foosackly's is your typical fast casual restaurant to get chicken tender and fries. The tenders are in the smaller side, they reminded me more of the tenders at Raising Canes vs Zaxby's. The coleslaw was too peppery, Zaxby's coleslaw is better. Their Foo sauce is good. Unlike raising canes they have multiple sauces to choose from, so that's a plus. You get a pretty good amount of food with your order. There are several chains that offer fingers, fries, and toast, but each one does it a little differently. Move over Zaxby's, Guthrie's and Raisin' Cane's. We dropped in for a quick bite and were blown away. Staff was friendly and the food was delicious - but more importantly, the food was hot and fresh and the prices were amazing. Our food was out in less than 3 minutes after sitting down. My wife and I each had a 5 piece chicken strip meal and our total was around $17. This would have easily been $24+ anywhere else. Highly recommend! read more

I've always noticed this place when I have been down in vacationing in Gulf Shores. I happen to ride by it one day. I have seen some of the signs for it. Me and my dad stopped by because this place peaked our curiosity. We were so hungry after our Home Depot run & decided to try something new. The menu section looked reasonably impressive. But didn't have the menu variety of Zaxby's as they offered a little less. As far as the food quality it was fairly tasty warm and prepared with the right amount of seasoning & sauce. The wait time for my food was 10 minutes. Which is very reasonable for a fast food of their caliber. Friendly & Organized staff I didn't have any complaints. Those 2 qualities I always look for in Customer Service & they nailed it. Unlike a few of their competitors stores. I will be returning in the future as long as they don't change the things that makes this place enjoyable to patronize. Menu expansion is the only change I'll ever welcome. read more

Ok fine. Chicken fingers are supposed to be for little kids. But guess what... having little kids on a road trip gives you a reason to eat at chicken finger places. And I will go ahead and admit - I LOVE really good chicken fingers. Call me a child, unhealthy anything you want. But they are delicious in my book. As a southeast and central Alabama resident for all of my life, I only recently heard about Foosackly's. Weird name with supposedly great chicken. So I was on board when we were looking for something on our way to the beach. The drive-thru was fast and the food was good... really good. Can I find better chicken fingers and fries in Birmingham? Definitely (if you know, you know). Can I find a much better meal on a small highway, with an efficient drive-thru and makes my whole family happy? definitely not. Foos is Canes little brother. The chicken is almost as good, the toast is similar, but instead of Texas toast is just bread. I like their variety of sauces. If I didn't have a Canes close by, I would be happy with Foos. Place was busy and service was still prompt and courteous. read more
