Standard hooters experience. Descent wings and okay service. Not blown away and didn't leave upset. Just another hooters.

uggghhhh... Sadly this is one of the smallest and worst Hooters I've ever visited. The staff try really hard to do their best but I'm just not going to eat here but I will drink a few beers. This is a decent spot to grab a few drinks and enjoy the little Carnival parades that Gulf Shores puts on but they don't really encourage you to bring your adult beverage down to the side of the road if you buy it in a restaurant like Hooters. Now if you have a can of beer in a koozie or in a Dixie cup you are probably all good. I hear they might make Hooters Great Again but they are changing the uniforms apparently so I don't know if it will really improve anything or just make things worse... I hope they make it great again but I won't believe it until I see it! read more

Quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had a a restaurant. Came in to a mostly empty restaurant (should've been a sign). The host told us to sit wherever, so we sat outside. Multiple employees walked past us, no service. 30 mins later we were able to flag someone down. They said "one min". Came back and asked our drinks, and we didn't see her for another 15 mins. She brought 2 drinks and no pitcher of beer. We had to flag the manager down to get her to bring our pitcher. She complained about having someone walk out, and 17 year olds bartending. She walked away and was still loudly complaining to another employee about the situation. She went in and sat down, didn't get us the beer we ordered. There was a table behind us of employees off the clock, and they were serving themselves pitcher after pitcher of beer. Our waitress came back out with the pitcher and everyone's food except the kids. We watched the kitchen staff eat food from the meals they were cooking customers. We waited 15-20 extra mins on the kids food. We watched several tables get up and leave without getting service. Will NEVER return. read more

This is by far the worst Hooters I've ever had the misfortune of having to turn to for a late dinner for me and my family. The service was horrendous the food was tasteless. It's changed my view on Hooters everywhere, if I could give it a negative 5 I would. read more

We went so long without being helped we just left. We walked in, no greeting of any kind. Stood & waited for a while until someone finally came over. We asked to sit outside since the AC was broken & it was hotter inside than outside. The waitress handed us menus & we figured out we were to seat ourselves. Where do I start the wings were awful! They reminded me of straight up rubber. The service was downright awful we ordered a chicken sandwich and we had to finally ask for it to go after almost a hour of waiting! The waiter was very rude and told us they had a homeless cook who hadn't showered in days cooking our food. I mean how is that safe! The restaurant got packed and the chefs just stood there. Visiting from Roanoke Virginia where all the Hooters in the area are closed. Down here on vacation and stopped in for lunch, the place is smaller than most. I would leave a zero if I could. Worst service. No one in the restaurant helped out anyone else. Sat for 10 minutes before we were even greeted at the table. We ordered immediately. One part of the meal came out. Apparently they gave the rest of the food to another table. Never got refills. Never got part of the order. Never got extra ranch. Iris was horrible. One thing least common amongst many locations is their laid back relaxing atmosphere having lesser noise compared to constant bustling locations I frequented on previous occasions. Wait & cook staff strive for customer perfection offering excellent service, hospitality while serving up their usual classic fanfare featuring wings,seafood,burgers & other classic menu apps entrees & dessert items. Looking over wing selections offered. My attention fixated towards Daytona style wings & prior to placing my order & asking my server description on Daytona style wings. She recommended them & described how they are prepared & spiciness of them. After hearing her description she had me sold on ordering them & after ordering my first dozen & finding them delicious with perfect amount of spice seasoning & crisp. Next order I placed included an additional dozen with my curly fries served crisp juicy & golden brown. Dessert here which piques my interest & tantalizes my taste buds are their dessert shooters (non alcoholic) which tantalizes my taste buds with their sweetness & flavors which is my recommendation to anyone wanting a light dessert after a huge meal. I will patronize this location again being they met all my expectations pertaining towards dining service & food quality. Patio area's pretty nice & have enjoyed it during past visits. this is the worst service I've ever had. The managers literally do not care. It was almost 2 hours for our food and the food was ice cold. Our waitress was new and I felt so bad for her. The most unfriendly staff I have ever met. The bar tender was more concerned with her phone than the customers. Our waitress was absolutely awful. Made us feel very unwelcome. Walked in and got seated right away. Our waitress did a great job! Checked in on us frequently. The wings were delicious!! I get them naked (not a fan of the breading), and the flavors were hot & garlic parmesan. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the men's restroom. Absolutely disgusting. Worst Hooters I've ever been to. Like a McDonald's with the ice cream machine always broken conveniently. Signs on all patio seating stating they're short staffed and can't sit outside. Let me start by saying that my wings on this particular evening were some of the best wings I've ever had. Unfortunately everything else was the worst. The staff included a bartender, a server, a cook and 2 managers. The 5 of them outnumbered the guests when I arrived. This location closed at midnight. I sat at the bar at 10:30p. The bartender made several comments about being stuck there before she finally poured me a beer, leaving the empty glass from the last person in front of me. I finished my beer and stared at my glass for 15 minutes while she stared at her phone. At 11:30 I finally spoke up and asked for another beer then asked if I should order food since I knew they closed soon. She said, "sure" then walked away. 10 minutes goes by and she reappears and I spoke up again and asked for a menu which was covered in food. At 11:45 she finally takes my order. By the time I got my food it was after 12. I asked for celery and she actually looked at me with a straight face and said the kitchen was closed. I thought she was kidding. I said for celery? She repeated, the kitchen was closed. I told her I didn't want the celery cooked. She just went back to her phone and ignored me. When I heard that Hooters was closing 40 locations I prayed that this was one. It's a shame because they are located across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. The 2 managers were nowhere to be found but I quickly realized that they were only there to fulfill some strange mid life fantasy not because of their passion for wings. Terrible. We waited for over an hour and did not get our food. The waitress excuse was our kitchen was backed up. Problem was food kept coming out that was ordered 30 minutes plus after us. The head waitress just sat at the bar and chatted with regulars and the manager was no where to be found. Poor management and poor service. read more

This must be the worst establishment in all of gulf shores. The staff are a bunch of brain dead zombies that have no idea what's going on. Half the staff is standing around at the bar and the other half are outside sitting on the deck completely ignoring the customers. My husband and I travel often and we like to visit a Hooters on every trip and I'm sorry to say after this experience we've questioned continuing that tradition. Our server Amanda was fantastic however there was another girl, Destiny, who ruined our experience by constantly yelling at fellow servers (assuming she wasn't the manager on duty since she was clearly wearing the sever outfit). She seems to use any and everyone there as a scapegoat for her own short comings. Service from Amanda was a 5/5, overall service as an establishment would be a 0/5. Our food and drinks came out as we ordered however the quality was subpar. Not sure if the oil in the fryers were bad or what exactly had happened but as for the food that would be rated a 2/5. I'm leaving the rating overall as 1/5 because along with all of the above, it was simply dirty. Bathrooms needed attention, floors were super sticky, everything looked like it needed to be throughly cleaned. That being said, we did question continuing our tradition but we will continue on and hope we NEVER run into another experience like we had here. read more

I don't get the same love of the wings as I used to because they don't have the same crunch and ooompf that they did and even the basic sauce has changed. I do like all the newer additions of choices of wing sauces with the General Tso's being my new favorite. They got rid of srteamed clams which is a bummer but they've added some new sandwiches and other stuff that give you more choices. The service here can be kinda hit or miss while sometimes being jterric and others just okay but that doesn't trump the whole food experience. The overall atmosphere is what you expect from a Hooters with great TV's for the game and comfortable seats and cold beer. Overall this is a great Hooters location right across the street from the beach and close to everything beach. read more

Ordered 3 orders online at hooters.com located at 300 E Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542 and paid online today 7/4/2024 to be ready by 5:44 pm. Sent DL and all 3 cards used to pay and the server refused to give 2 of my orders to my husband because he did not know everything ordered. He had my name in which the order was placed in, my drivers license, and all 3 cards used. After they got the food, 15 min later they informed him I had ordered onion rings in which they did not have and refused to take them off my bill and told me via the phone I would have to get a REFUND ONLINE MYSELF. Consistency is great. The wings were even better than we have been getting in Oklahoma lately! The curly fries were perfect! The service was fast and friendly, even though they were pretty busy. This is one of the smallest Hooters I have ever seen. (insert chuckle here) However, the worked with the space and provided fast and friendly service without making you feel rushed. Wings were NOT cooked and when I sent them back the cook burnt them and didn't even offer to cook another order He gave the waitress a difficult time and told the wings were being cooked from frozen because they had NOT been thawed by the cook staff. Never been a fan of their wings, which is supposedly what they are known for, but other dishes here are pretty good. Love the peel and eat shrimp and the smothered chicken sandwich. This location is much smaller than other locations, but across the street from the beach! It is what it is, a hooters. Our waitress was sweet. They get a star for that. I've eaten a lot of Hooters wings and these were by far the worst. These were teeny, tiny and severely over cooked. There was very little chicken on these dried out little bitty wings. On top of that, the price was very high. Went there not one but 3 times. Figured the first time was a fluke and just didn't get good service. Tator tots were good but took forever. Still tip well bc it's not the servers fault. Second time... worse yet. No tator tot appetizer so I sub French fries. 45 minutes later with only 3 tables total in the building being served I received my meal just to get it boxed up to go as it was for my wife so I was taking it back to her. Same night I went back to get myself some wings. 2 of the 3 cooks looked high as hell and couldn't stand up to cook. The wings were sitting on the grill in a clear plastic tote. All pre fried. They add sauce to pre cooked food and put in a bowel on the flat top and steam for a minute to soften them up to serve. I have watched the entire process and I will say the wings were absolutely terrible. 1 beer and 20 wings that I couldn't eat and paid $42 bucks.
