Been here a lot to say the least and this was by far the worst experience. It was especially embarrassing as we brought family from out of state with us. For over 15 minutes staff just passed the table without stopping for meat cuts and even after we asked for specific cuts that never got to us (sometimes when a staff approached us first to ask if we had a request!), they never came through. Additionally, this is the second visit in a row that the signature cut, the picanha, was not sliced thin for anyone at the table, but plopped down in large 3/4 inch chunks. This is not how this cut can be enjoyed, but we never had another opportunity to try it a second time, so visiting family just had to take our word for it that it's really good. When I asked for a drink, the server had to take multiple trips to ask me my preference on spirit, but wouldn't give me any options on what was offered. When I asked for a common spirit they just shrugged and I had to wait for the game of telephone before someone else came over to ask again what spirit I wanted, WITHOUT offering me a list. When I answered, thinking I won't ever get a list, the (I assume) bartender seemed frustrated and said they didn't have that and listed a few spirits for me to choose from. I'm not sure why this was a 20 minute process and I honestly didn't want the drink for that trouble. Ironically I was given a fresh plate and in twenty minutes by the time I paid for the bill, it was whisked away and still perfectly clean. Even spoke to the wait staff and they just made excuses. I guess I just wasn't impressed by the meats which is what they are known for. The cuts were pretty fatty, lacked seasoning (tasted bland), chicken was dry (chicken and bacon). I had one piece of each and didn't want to bother with more. The chimichurri and hot sauce didn't do much- also lacked flavor. The market bar had a nice variety and was well stocked, standouts for me were the chicken salad and grilled vegetables and fresh fruit. The balsamic tomatoes were also super. Table sides were good- mashed potatoes were pretty standard, polenta crispy, cheesy bread...cheesy haha and the plantain was solid. The chocolate lava cake was good- a really standard and delicious cake (what I'd been wanting). Partner got the tres leches and said it was good- she definitely ate more protein than me but we also prefer didn't cuts of meat, she said the location in NY is better. Interior is nice, easy location to get to by public transit. Service is good and attentive. I think for the price, you'd expect more. We came in for the $55 taste of Brazil experience but make sure you read the fine print because it's actually by location, the Seattle one is $67 a person which is still less than the standard price. read more

Fogo de Chão in downtown Seattle was a solid night out, though pretty standard compared to other Fogo locations I've been to in the metro area and across the country. The staff were nice, and servers came around frequently, which I appreciated. The restaurant did feel a bit smaller than other Fogo de Chão locations I've visited, and the overall quality was alright. One thing I noticed was that at other locations, they usually ask how you like your meat cooked and will cut from the medium rare or more medium section of the skewer depending on your preference. That didn't really happen here, so there was a little less control over doneness. The pacing was mostly good, but the variety felt uneven. For example, the Brazilian cheese with honey only came around once, while the pork covered in cheese came by multiple times, even though that is not one of the more popular items for us. read more

I came at 5:30pm on a wednesday and waited around 15 minutes for a table. The restaurant is very big and the interior is nicely decorated, but it felt under staffed. After placing our order, we waited around 15 minutes for our food, but got 2 baskets of the cheese bread while waiting. I got the picanha burger medium, but it was very well done --the meat was so dry it started crumbling so I had to ask for ketchup. My family and I came to celebrate my mother's birthday. We had an excellent experience at the Bellevue location. Unfortunately this location did not meet our expectations, our server Daniel was very passive-aggressive and dismissive from the start of our sitting. We placed our order 10 minutes ago just for Daniel to come back to say our sides has " run out". We can understand that maybe coming in two hours before closing can alter menu items but we were never told that before hand. When our food came out, it was our sides first another 10 - 15 minutes went by we asked Daniel how much longer for our steak he explain just a few moments, by this time all sides that were brought out were gone, we tried to place more, before we could finish our sentence Daniel said " unfortunately we JUST ran out" the comment felt very fake telling considering that he had more than enough chances to explain the menu situation as closer hours approached. It was a very unfortunate circumstance, I hope our server can better his peoples skills, as having a bad day can come off almost discriminatory. read more

My friend and I came here today for the $18 lunch salad bar weekday special. We had a Wednesday 12:45 reservation. It was very very packed. There was also only 1 person serving, 1 hostess, and 2 gauchos. So they were very busy. The salad bar itself was great! I really liked the options as a vegetarian (Corn soup, rice, egg salad, various cheeses, salads, veggies, grains, bread, etc.) Their cheese bread was also amazing. The service was horrible. I totally understand that they're busy, but our waitress was rude. It took super long for her to come to our table (totally fine since they were busy), and there was no greeting - she just asked us what we wanted in a rude tone. I'm not sure if it is because my friend and I look young, but I did not see her talking that way to the other guests. Rooftop Experience My husband and I came here to celebrate our first anniversary. We were hoping for something a little fancy and enjoyable. The space itself was beautiful, but the ambiance felt a bit off, unnatural and staged. Customer service was friendly, but there were too many staff checking in on us. The person who took our bill wasn't even our server, and they forgot to return our tab along with our card. We had to trouble another host to retrieve it. Overall, while everyone was polite, it felt like there was no privacy. Someone was always watching or hovering, which was a bit much. The food was underwhelming, overly salted, under-seasoned, or dry. (Order: lamb, beef on the bone, chicken, steak) The sauce that came with the meats also lacked flavor. No freshness or complimentary taste added to the meat. The drinks, however, were delicious and the only truly memorable part of the evening. Honestly, I ended up cooking steak almost every day for a week afterward, just to feel better after the disappointing meal. This downtown Seattle location is by far the best one. The ambiance is beautiful and they don't cram in seating, so you aren'tsitting on top of the table next to you. This space actually allows for privacy.It is also a perk that they offer happy hour all day every day. I'd go just for their Strawberry Hibiscus Caipirinha and passionate Caipirinha. They were devine. It was a Monday so it was a bit slower which made for good service. A must here is their churrasco experience! Many of the meats that are available in the restaurant are served as "boards" in the bar. So, the food is great. Everything from beef and chicken to lamb. Also Many types of cheeses. Served in shareable sizes. The bar has an extensive selection and bartenders that know their craft. Ashlyn is AWESOME. She made me the best old fashioned ever. My GF loved her cosmo as well. To get to the bar is strange. You take an elevator up from the parking garage ($10) and then take a flight of stairs down before taking another elevator back up again. Anyway, the bar is dimly lit and a little on the loud side with background music running so chatting takes some effort. There are many small tables and several higher tables near the bar with barstools. Some tables overlook the Seattle streets. Apparently there will also be an outside patio when the weather improves. The entire staff work hard to make your experience enjoyable. Returning customers will often be remembered by name. Want something new? Skip the restaurant and try out the bar. Visited this location for the first time for the market table lunch for an easy meal with coworkers. It was fine, and technically a good value for a buffet style meal, but there were some misses. None of the food was labeled, so we were just guessing what we were getting. I could've sworn I've seen labels at other Fogo locations. Some of the items the menu specifically mentioned as part of the market table weren't there when we first grabbed a plate (like the candied bacon or the feijoada) and since there were no placeholders for them on the table, we didn't know they'd be available until towards the end of our meal when they appeared. We had an interesting experience here. Originally we were booked on the rooftop for a group of 15 people and they called us one hour before the booking to let us know that there's a flood and they have to cancel our booking. And that was that... I'm panicked because where am I supposed to take our group of 15 last minute? This Reso has been booked for over a month now. I asked if they can accommodate us downstairs and they do but not sure why they wouldn't offer that in the first place and had I not known they had a downstairs then I would be out of luck. Anyways then more issues - we're running late ... like 30 mins late due to an accident on the freeway that we were not anticipating and I call to let them know hey this is our eta can we still make it work. They say okay and I'm so grateful. 10 mins before the time of our arrival they call me to say if we don't get there exactly on time they're going to cancel our Reso - I'm like can we get a 5 mins grace period I know we're like super late but it's not because of us, there was a really bad accident. They say okay and hang up. Cool. So now we finally arrive and get seated, order our food and they're out of a couple items that we wanted. I felt that they really took care of us at this point and made it work. It's just my experience before getting there was a little wishy washy but once we were there it was all great. This review is for the rooftop restaurant. I've been to the main restaurant and service has always been great and food arrives quickly. Onto the roof top; space itself is beautiful and clean. Wait staff is friendly and hospitable so this review doesn't apply to them at all. This review for management. How is it that it took 1.5 hours to get an omelette with spinach, onion and mushroom? Brunch wasn't ready so we waited around. We aren't the only ones; another table that arrived shortly after us was in the same boat. We understand that things and issues happen. It would have been great if management explains what's going on or send guests down to the main restaurant where the kitchen staff is not brand new and the buffet is well prepared. Sure you comped brunch but it still left us with a bad experience. Plus we were still hungry. Downstairs restaurant vibe was lovely; so I would recommend this part of the restaurant and a NO to rooftop restaurant until management trained their kitchen staff. We had reservations for November 1st at 6:30pm for our anniversary, and it was both our first time at a Brazilian steakhouse. Even weeks later, we're still talking about how much we enjoyed it! We were seated shortly after our reservation time, which wasn't an issue, and once at our table the staff greeted us warmly and explained the menu and process clearly. We chose the Indulgent Churrasco experience to celebrate, and the quality of meats were outstanding - very filling and flavorful. While most people probably don't go to a steakhouse for the sides or salad bar, I was pleasantly surprised. It was fresh, satisfying, and a great palate cleanser between all the meats. I came to Fogo De Chão on a Tuesday with a 12:30 reservation, and we were seated right away! The restaurant has a large bar and main dining area with a beautiful interior. I decided to try the full churrasco experience which was $52 and includes a good variety of meats! My favorites were the top sirloin and ribeye. It was so fun to use little tongs to grab the meat as they cut it. There is also a market table in the back where you can grab fruits and veggies. The workers were all kind and professional. I've been here three times now, including the Yelp Elite opening lunch when they first launched in Seattle. I had also been to the Manhattan location before that, so I came in curious but already a little skeptical. The concept is fun and the vibe is good. It definitely feels like a place to celebrate or bring a group. My girlfriend liked the atmosphere and the energy in the room. Food-wise, the experience has been pretty consistent across all three visits and it hasn't really wowed me. The salad bar is solid, but if you start there it's easy to fill up before the meat really gets going. The meats come around in waves, and it often feels like the more average cuts show up first. By the time the better ones arrive you're already full. A lot of the steaks also seem to need sauce to really shine. On our last visit for my girlfriend's birthday, the place was busy and the table wasn't getting pre-bussed much. Our server was friendly and honest though. She actually recommended ordering one of the from the single entree dishes instead of doing the bottomless meat option, which I appreciated. Overall, it's a unique and lively experience, but after three visits the food has landed in the average category for me. Service was average, food taste was average, and the prices are on the high side. If you know how to pace yourself and navigate the rotation you might get more out of it. Itamar the manager came to our table and made the difference on our experience that had started very welcoming already with Mr Suresh, greeting us at the door. The Caipirinhas were the best I've had in Seattle so far, Carlos our server and the main Bartender made it PERFECTLY. We had the FILET MIGNON board, a couple of Picanha Burger and more, and everything was perfectly grilled. These Brazilians really know how to make delicious food and drinks. Hubby booked us this place for V-day dinner, and for the price, I'd have to say that there are better places in the city, although I'm happy to get this place off our list. We got the Churrasco Experience for each of us and thoroughly enjoyed the salad bar, as well as some drinks and an order of the Burrata with tomatoes, which was so yummy, highly recommend. My gripe with the meats is that the majority of meats being passed around at each table were lamb, chicken, sausage, or other meats, and very little of the steaks. It took at least 45 minutes for the steaks to come around, and when they do, make sure to get at least a few pieces because they won't be back for a bit. It could also be attributed to their busy schedule on Valentine's Day. The quality of the food was very good. I was impressed. Loved loved the little bread and cheese balls as well, omg soo good! It was all the other stuff that made me give them a 3/5 stars. If you don't care much about ambiance and service issues, then go for it, avoid the holidays, and no need to read the below. As for the ambiance, it felt very corporate chain, as expected, but it was a big turn-off for me. The crowd was more like an Olive Garden crowd, which, for the price, was also a negative for me. Again, could be due to the holiday, no idea. The service was subpar. We appreciated a little sparkling wine while we waited for our table, as it was a very busy day, but the hosts were really the best part. The servers were terrible, I mean terrible. These ladies must receive very little training because they seemed lost from beginning to end. My last experience here was truly terrible. We had to beg every waiter to actually serve us and bring us food. At one point the waitress we had nearly put her elbow in my drink and didn't offer to like switch the straw or get a new one but just left. It took them 40+ minutes to get us our food. (Appetizers came out last??). The only reasonable service we received was the drinks. Then came the mains and the filet mignon we ordered which was completely cooked like a shoe sole on one side and what I can only describe as still mooing on the other. When we tired to send it back the waitress argued with us that's a medium rare and was very adamant even when we told her we have literally been here and order a medium rare and it came out exactly as expected. Then we had to call the manager twice who we could catch by the host stand telling us he will be right with us to never show up. After a networking event a colleague and I decided to grab a small bite to eat downstairs. The restaurant had a waitlist but we were able to find a seat at the bar on a Thursday evening. The service was pretty quick given how busy their dinning area was. The venue was smaller than what I had thought it would be for downtown Seattle. But during my visit the bartender shared about the expansion and opening of the rooftop restaurant. I'm sure that will be beautiful and will bring more people in. As for the food the lobster/shrimp tacos and mocktail were great. I was not a fan of the saucy legs, the sauce was a bit overpowering for my palate but the serving size was extremely good for the price point. Have been to this location and given it a couple tries. Unfortunately there has been a repeated pattern of poor service with slow wait times, servers failing to clear dishes off our table when we try and flag them down, and I never chose to speak up about it. Last night's experience was the worst I have ever had. We sat at a table in the bar area, put in our order, and then waited 40 minutes for our food, and had to ask the waitress multiple times where our food was. We watched the table next to us get there, order the same thing, get their food, pay, and leave before we had a bite to eat. I watched someone sitting at a table near us physically have to go to the bar and order their drink. I also saw an employee who had cleared a drink off a customer's table and then proceeded to drink from it...yikes. I ordered the filet mignon board, and confirmed I wanted my steak cooked medium rare. The first batch came out after over 40 minutes and was brown on one side, but completely blue on the other side and looked like it had been hacked at. I then asked them to cook it again to a medium rare, which is the picture below. Again it was blue on one side and well done on the other. At this point we decided to give up and I asked to take it to go. The waitress then tried to say it was a true medium rare, and myself and the people I was dining with were explaining to her that we eat steak on a regular basis and that there is no way this is a medium rare. She kept trying to argue with us and at this point I just told her whatever, I want it to go. I asked the hostess if she could grab the manager to chat, but as she walked to grab him I heard her make a snarky remark about me trying to talk to the manager. I worked in food and retail for five years, and never want to be the person writing a bad review. The check, OMG...we waited like 30 minutes after asking twice. We had to ask someone else to run our credit card so we could leave. Like I said...disappointing. As for the food though, it was very tasty. Everything that we had was really good. I really enjoyed the salad bar too. The sides came out almost at the save time as the check. Woof! This was a rough one. My family dined here last week and we had a very mediocre experience. We had a 6pm reservation and weren't seated until 7pm, which was insane and not acceptable. They were busy, but maybe don't accept so many reservations if you don't have the tables or staff to support them. The only reason we were even able to get seated at 7pm is because I looked in the dining room, saw an open 2 top and said we would squeeze 3 into the table just so we could get seated. Our toddler was near a meltdown after waiting for an hour so we just needed to sit and eat ASAP at that point. Our server was the only saving grace as overall churrasco service was sloooow. The gauchos barely came by and after a while, we flagged our server down to request certain cuts of meat instead of waiting for them to slowly make their way around. It was a wise decision given we were way past dinner time by then. Meat temperature was all over the place. Some cuts were super rare and others were totally well done. I think we only had some picanha and filet that were cooked perfectly. The lobby was still packed when we left since table turnover and service was slow. I've long frequented the Bellevue Fogo de Chao, but after this experience, I won't be returning to the Seattle location. It's honestly such a letdown; the space is gorgeous, but the ridiculous wait times and unprofessional service completely cheapened the Fogo brand for me. No level of ambiance can cover up unrefined service. We had a 10-top reservation at 7 pm for a friend's birthday dinner but were not seated until after 8 pm. Being delayed by over an hour for a confirmed reservation, especially for a special occasion, was absolutely unacceptable. The hosts were unprofessional and rude when speaking to us and to other parties. While I understand they were likely overwhelmed by the number of frustrated guests, it's still not an acceptable excuse, and the way they spoke to us lowered the "quality" I assume the brand aims to represent. It was also frustrating to receive no meaningful assistance or updates regarding the delay. The host staff later explained that the previous party who "had our table" had not checked out yet and did not want to leave. When I asked whether there was a time limit for tables, they said there wasn't. For a restaurant with an unlimited menu, this seems like a major oversight in reservation management, especially since we saw multiple other parties experiencing similarly long waits. Once we were finally seated, the service improved. The meats came out promptly, the servers were polite, and they made an effort to bring the rare steak I requested. For a failure like this, I would have expected management to offer a comp, but they only offered two small desserts at the end of the meal. My partner and I are Fogo lovers. We had a reservation in Lynnwood but they had to close the restaurant to do some repairs so we had to move our reservation to the Seattle location. This location was busy and honestly slow. We were seated past our reservation time. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink and it took a long time; we had to follow up and it finally arrived close to THE END of our meal. The sides arrived late as well. We also spent a lot of time waiting for the meat to come to our section of the dining room. Sadly, we did not have a satisfactory experience in this location. We probably won't be back. read more

Most people I know have gone to the Bellevue location, but I came to this one in downtown Seattle for a friend's birthday. This was on a Friday evening, and our reservation was for 7pm. We were a group of 5, so it didn't take much time to get us seated smack dab near the front entrance. From what I've been told, this location is far fancier than the one in Bellevue despite Bellevue having more high-class qualities both in decor and price. It's full of warm light inside that's spaced out far from each other like a fine-dining place, and you can see a ton of ovens with flames at the very end near the kitchen. Seating is also quite fancy. Everything's fancy inside. All five of us got the churrasco experience, which is $75 per person before tax. This comes with all kinds of meat for us to choose from and a huge and well-maintained salad bar full of fruit and other delicacies. You can also get tons of appetizers as well, with the cheese puffs and mashed potatoes being my absolute favorites. There was actually so much meat to pick from, and I remember getting lamb rack, pork chops, chicken, filet mignon and ribeye steak. There was also Brazilian cheese with honey drizzled on top, and I got a Brazilian limonada as a drink. Meats were in general some of the juiciest I've ever had, especially the lamb. Steak was somewhat hard to chew even though most were medium rare. Chicken was also appropriately salted, and pork chops had a nice kick to them. I ended up getting too much even though I did flip over my coaster that tells servers whether you want meat or not. Appetizers were very, very addicting and I was tempted to get more cheese puffs for myself. For dessert, we all shared a cheesecake brûlée and chocolate molten cake. The chocolate cake was so smooth, and the ganache poured on top of it heightened the chocolate flavor very well. Cheesecake is not my favorite, but this one was not too bad; the brûlée part detracted from the cheese taste enough for me to not feel icky eating it. You can get really full and stuff yourself with meat here very easily. I'd either pace myself next time, or come with the largest appetite I can muster before coming here. read more

Went to celebrate a good friend's birthday and tried Fogo de Chão's happy hour in the bar. Service was a different person each time not really a one-on-one experience. The bar is really beautiful but our table was a bit of a mess and I had to clean off my chair with their linens. The food was amazing so overall a good experience but just a bit of a kerfuffle. read more

Came here on a weekday for lunch and got seated right away. Great service and good food. They brought out different types of meats and also brought out more different cuts upon request. "Seattle's Best Kept Happy Hour Secret -- Until Now!" Heard the buzz about this happy hour and had to try it -- and it over-delivered! Three drinks + two apps for $38 (yes, in Seattle!), then $10 burgers and chicken sliders that were seriously next-level. We had a small hiccup with our order, but this review is really about Brando, the manager. He jumped in right away, handled everything flawlessly, and turned a minor issue into an amazing experience. I have been to many Fogo de Chao locations, so I think I can compare this to other ones. The service here was very good. It did take a while to get seated, even with a reservation, but once we got seated, the meat kept coming out. Also they were very responsive to bringing things back if we requested more, and making sure we had enough of everything. I liked how this location had a fried cheese with honey option, and also a pork belly with hot honey, neither of which I had seen in other locations. They had the usuals. I thought the filet was decent but I've had better, but the picanha was exceptional. The salad bar was one of the smallest I've seen. Everything was fresh and seemed to be replenished often. They had my favorite hearts of palm so that was a plus! This location is a little dark, and the lighting seemed to be turned off and on a few times - kind of randomly so! read more
