Somehow, every time I've come here, the experience has been excellent. I honestly cannot remember a single bad meal. This isn't a place I visit every week or even every month. It's more of a special occasion destination every few months. Part of the reason is that every visit turns into an event. We always go for the full experience, and by the time we leave, we're completely stuffed, happy, and already talking about when we'll come back. The quality of the food is outstanding. Everything arrives hot, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Whether it's one of the signature cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, pork, or something from the Market Table, I've yet to find an item that disappointed me. Usually, by the end of the meal, I've lost track of how many different things I've tried because I'm too busy enjoying all of it. One thing that always makes me laugh is the famous red and green card system. In theory, you flip the card to green when you want more food and red when you need a break. In reality, after a few visits, the staff seems to remember what you like. I've had servers and gauchos walk by with cuts they know I enjoy and offer them before I even have a chance to flip the card. That's not a complaint. It's actually one of the reasons the experience feels so personal. The service deserves just as much praise as the food. From the moment you walk through the door, you're welcomed warmly. Throughout the meal, someone is always checking to make sure you're enjoying yourself, asking if you need anything, and making sure the experience lives up to expectations. It never feels forced or scripted. The staff genuinely seems to care that you're having a great time. We usually arrive around 5:00 or 5:30, before the dinner rush really gets going. That timing has always worked well for us and allows for a relaxed, enjoyable meal without feeling crowded or rushed. Fogo de Chão isn't inexpensive, but that's because you're getting an experience, not just a meal. Between the quality of the food, the attention from the staff, and the overall atmosphere, I've always felt like I got my money's worth. At this point, if someone asks me where to go in Providence for a memorable dinner, Fogo de Chão is always near the top of my list. The venue itself felt polished and high-end from the moment we walked in. The meats were definitely the highlight of the evening -- top-tier cuts, well-seasoned, tender, and served fresh off the skewers with incredible flavor. Every selection we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. You can tell quality is a priority here. The salad bar had a nice variety overall, but since our reservation was at 8 PM for a party of four and the restaurant closed at 9 PM, some items were no longer fully stocked by the time we arrived. Service was also a little slower toward the end of the evening, which seemed understandable given the late reservation and closing time approaching. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, but I'd strongly suggest booking an earlier reservation to fully enjoy the entire experience, especially the salad bar and full pace of service. Obviously the red meats are amazing, but the grilled cheese, the pork chop, and pork belly were fantastic- don't pass on these! A friend and I enjoyed a spectacular full Churrasco experience for lunch yesterday to celebrate my 70th birthday. In addition to the delicious offerings on the Market Table, the meat carved table side was moist, succulent and cooked to perfection. The cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes, crispy polenta and fried bananas were great extras. They also offered a lovely Argentinian Red Blend for $8 a glass, a great bargain. Full disclosure... it was so good I had two glasses! And Lucas treated us to a very special birthday dessert. Honestly, we were sat next to a table of kids, and a solo diner who wouldn't stop joining our conversations. We dined here for Thanksgiving and overall was a fair experience for most of it. Oddly they seemed to be pushing chicken and pork 4-5x more than they had beef options which were very limited. The meat isn't really worth the expensive price of $65 per person anymore. Many meats were either rare or over well done, seems like the cook times/temps are rather inconsistent. A lot of the meat was over salted. Things were generally fine until we were getting ready to leave. We used the restroom and went back to our table (only 2-4 minutes later) to find the entire table cleared of everything and all of our coats REMOVED. Extremely rude and inhospitable and felt like we were being kicked out. Had to ask for our coats back. Of course they did that after we left a tip. Won't be coming back here again! read more

Disappointing Full Churrasco Experience We visited Fogo de Chão yesterday and ordered the full churrasco experience, which is supposed to include beef ribs, bone-in ribeye, lamb chops, and several other specialty meats. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We were seated by the bar and began with the salad bar. Even with our table marker on green, the service was very slow and inconsistent -- it took roughly 10 minutes between each plate, despite being right next to the grill. For meats, we only received: * Picanha * Bacon-wrapped steak * Bacon-wrapped chicken * Chicken leg * Parmesan pork * Sausage We never received beef ribs, bone-in ribeye, or most of the specialty items advertised in the full churrasco. We requested these multiple times to both the gaucho and our server, but they never arrived. Lamb chops finally showed up over an hour later, long after we were already full. Most of the cuts were dry. Our server, Aiden, was friendly and did his best, but my girlfriend never received her drink, asked for another side of mash which we never got . At that point, we had to downgrade our meal since so many items were missing. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing Brazilian steakhouse experiences we've had. Many of the promised cuts of meat were never offered, and the service left the full churrasco feeling incomplete and frustrating. read more

I have heard friends from across the country rave about this chain. Let's start with the good - phenomenal wait staff!! Our glasses rarely went below 1/2 full. Everyone asked if we needed anything - salad bar options were ver diverse. The bad For context we went at 5p on Friday. - although the salad bar had many options, it looked like everything had been out since lunch. The smoked salmon which should stay chilled had hard inedible pieces, which made me wonder if I'm going to get food poisoning. The oranges were shriveled up. Cucumbers were warm and limp, many items were Lukewarm rather than hot or cold. - the variety of meat options wasn't very robust until after 6pm. That's an hour of steak, 1/2 cooked medium - well and we are more rare! Not worth $70/person. I would be more interested in coming for lunch and just getting the fresh salad bar for $20. read more

You have the option to order individual meals off their menu or do the unlimited experience option. They bring out picanha, top sirloin, bacon wrapped steak, pork, pork belly, spicy pork sausage, Brazilian cheese, and more. This experience is $54 usually but sometimes goes on sale. There is a market stand that has salads, cheeses, fruits, and other items that pair well with the main course. The service is always top tier with the servers professionalism. My wife aged about the wine special and they didn't know what we were talking about even though it was advertised on their menu. My father in law ordered a cosmopolitan and the waiter asked how is that made. I then ordered a beer and 40 minutes later it hadn't come out yet so I had to ask the waiter. Green flag was that we were seated almost immediately. Love that we didn't have to wait even after making reservations because some places, you still do. The vegetables at the bar were so bland and undercooked for me. I couldn't eat them. Then one of them came by with the pineapple finally, not beef but finally someone stopped. He cut a slice for everyone at my table and said to me "I'll come by with another pineapple" but never came back....probably 35 min went by and I see him again at every other table and walks by me with an empty pineapple...I was so frustrated because we waited to eat and feel like we didn't get our moneys worth. When I go to Fogo de Chão, I am there for the churrasco experience - ALL THE MEATS! Therefore, I restrict myself to just several items from the Market Table & a couple of trips back for the spicy candied bacon. So to celebrate the end of hubby's birthday week, I invited him to Fogo de Chão to fully experience the Market Table. We went on a Thursday & there were only three tables (including us). We asked to be seated close to the Market Table since we were making it the focus of our meal. Jonathan came by to say hi - we had met at previous dining excursions. Since the last time, he was promoted & continues to be a wonderful ambassador of the Fogo de Chão experience! Our waiter, Taj, came by to introduce herself & see if we needed anything. Nope - just give me a plate! And we were off to the Market Table. I went directly for a small plate of the spicy candied bacon (the first of four rounds... no shame in my game!) & a plate of meat, cheese & hummus. YUMMM! I followed it up with a plate of eight tastes of the different salads. In all the years of eating at Fogo de Chão, I have never once tried the Fogo feijoada (traditional black bean stew with sausage) served with rice. That was definitely a mistake on my part - it was delicious! I could also eat my weight in Pão de Queijo - the addictive, cheesy treat that is Brazilian cheese bread. The garlic mashed potatoes were perfection - just the right amount of garlic & a super smooth consistency. I also liked the polenta fries sprinkled with the parmesan cheese. I am not really into plantains - too sweet for me but I know that other people say they are awesome. Hubby was talking with Jonathan about the brunch options on the weekend. Since the restaurant was not busy, he offered to have the chef make hubby an omelet. Hubby joyfully accepted! He asked for three different meats, cheese, mushrooms, spinach & garlic. It didn't photograph well but it was one of the best omelets that we have ever eaten! Last but not least, since we were celebrating hubby's birthday, Taj offered a complimentary dessert. We selected the Tres Leches Cake - vanilla sponge cake soaked in three types of milk, topped with toasted meringue & mixed berries. Since we ate our way through the entire Market Table, four rounds of spicy candied bacon AND an omelet, we asked for the dessert to go. Taj wouldn't let us leave without lighting a candle on a happy birthday plate which was so sweet of her. We tried the cake later at home - it was delectable! What is the best part of the Market Table for a weekday lunch? The experience is $18 per person. WHAT?!?! That is seriously the best deal in town. Got the Fogo de Choa experience where the market table was open as sides, the table is given more sides of mash potatoes, plátano, cheese bread, and waiters come around serving different meats and offering you a delicious selection. Easy enough to understand that if you tag your table green, your offered different meats, and red is no one will offer while you eat. Waiters and staff were so on top of us, it was great. When food was taking a bit, the staff let me know it was on its way. When I shared my dads birthday dinner, they added a birthday card, where he got a complimentary desert! It was great! I also stole a sip of the Premium Caprihania (or however you spell that!) and that was also on point! The reviews on the old fashioned were also good! We then went into the private space for the wine dinner. Our server was absolutely amazing! He was attentive, friendly and authentic! The food and wine were all delicious!! We sampled the cheese bread and then a charcuterie board....followed by a lobster taco, corn chowder and then all the meats! First time, but the experience was not great. I love Brazilian steak houses and was hoping this place would be a hit. We came for our anniversary at 8:30pm reservation. Restaurant says it close at 10pm. We were the only ones in the restaurant by 9pm. The food was delicious and the server was polite but we felt rushed. They kept coming with meats (a little too quick) and asked what else we wanted because they wanted to close. I did not enjoy it because in my mind i had to hurry up and eat so they can close up. My husband was eating so fast so we can get out their way. We paid $200+ for two ppl not including tip and didn't feel it was worth it. My recommendation is to not take reservations one hour prior to close if you don't want the service. read more

First time at this Providence location. Beautiful and welcoming ambiance as I headed right to the bar for dinner. Was greeted by a friendly bartender. Started me off with water and then I ordered a strawberry hibiscus caipirinha. Sweet, delicious and refreshing with lots of fruit slices. Put in my food order, polenta fries and braised short ribs sliders with caramelized onions. Took a while but there were a couple of televisions to keep me focused. The food was served hat and delicious. The fries were a new taste to my pallet and the sliders were tender and tasty on fresh brioche buns. We were excited to see this chain restaurant pop up in Providence and glad to see something occupy this space in the mall after sitting vacant for several years. We went for lunch mostly because it's cheaper ($45.50) than dinner ($62.50) for the same experience and my kids don't eat nearly enough to justify spending the extra money. lol They have extra bougie items that you can add to your meal like a $109 seafood tower appetizer or a $150 Wagu ribeye main, but we went for the rodizio experience and were not disappointed with that decision. Once we were seated, our server came over to introduce herself and give us an overview of the menu. We ordered some drinks, I got the premium caipirinha and the kids got the Brazilian lime aid - both were refreshing and delicious. We went up to look at the expansive market table and filled up a plate of delicious side dishes to try and headed back to our table. They brought the most delicious cheese bread to the table, along with mashed potatoes, crispy polenta strips, and sautéed bananas. Once we flipped our circles to green, indicating that we were ready for the parade of roasted meat to arrive at the table, we sampled just about everything they brought by - various cuts of beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and chorizo, it was all delicious. The service was exceptional, there were dozens of employees working together to make sure that you have everything that you need before you need it. Was it an expensive lunch? Absolutely. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Will we go again? Absolutely. Since this Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse location opened in the fall of 2023, my husband and I have been here two times. Last time we went, he dropped his business card in a fishbowl at a table up front. A few weeks later, he was notified that he won a complimentary full churrasco experience and it can be redeemed for lunch Monday-Thursday. He spoke with the Sales Manager and arranged a date and time. I tagged along with him. Our reservation was Wednesday at 12:00pm. We were the first group to be seated, but then a few more groups came in. We had the full churrasco experience which includes the market table and feijoada bar, authentic Brazilian side dishes, and continuous table side service of signature cuts of fire-roasted meat. The market table and feijoada bar had salads, vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, rice, and fruit. Everything was displayed very nicely. My favorite from here is the corn and the potato salad. They also have some seasonal dishes. For the side dishes, we had the warm Pao de queijo (cheese bread), garlic mashed potatoes, polenta, and caramelized bananas. All these dishes were very good and can be refilled. I always enjoy the strawberry hibiscus caipirinha so I got it again and it is consistent to all the times I've had it. The strawberry hibiscus caipirinha is $10 and so worth it. For the continuous table side service, I had the Frango (Chicken), Linguica (Spicy Pork Sausage), Garlic steak, and Cordeiro (Lamb Picanha) complimented with the chimichurri sauce. My husband really enjoys the Queijo Assado (Fire-Grilled Brazilian Cheese). All the meats were flavored well (maybe some a little too flavored but mostly it was good). We were stuffed! We ordered the Cheesecake Brulee for $12.25 to go. It was New York Style cheesecake with caramelized sugar topping served with berry sauce. I really enjoyed the caramelized sugar topping since I never had that on my cheesecake. Service was wonderful and the food was amazing as always. Though my husband won the complimentary full churrasco experience, my full churrasco experience was comped as well. I can't wait for my next experience at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse.
