This Brazilian steakhouse delivered an upscale dining experience with beautiful ambiance, elegant décor, and a sophisticated atmosphere perfect for a night out. The venue itself felt polished and high-end from the moment we walked in. The meats were definitely the highlight of the evening -- top-tier cuts, well-seasoned, tender, and served fresh off the skewers with incredible flavor. Every selection we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. You can tell quality is a priority here. The salad bar had a nice variety overall, but since our reservation was at 8 PM for a party of four and the restaurant closed at 9 PM, some items were no longer fully stocked by the time we arrived. Service was also a little slower toward the end of the evening, which seemed understandable given the late reservation and closing time approaching. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, but I'd strongly suggest booking an earlier reservation to fully enjoy the entire experience, especially the salad bar and full pace of service. Disappointing Full Churrasco Experience We visited Fogo de Chão yesterday and ordered the full churrasco experience, which is supposed to include beef ribs, bone-in ribeye, lamb chops, and several other specialty meats. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We were seated by the bar and began with the salad bar. Even with our table marker on green, the service was very slow and inconsistent -- it took roughly 10 minutes between each plate, despite being right next to the grill. For meats, we only received: * Picanha * Bacon-wrapped steak * Bacon-wrapped chicken * Chicken leg * Parmesan pork * Sausage We never received beef ribs, bone-in ribeye, or most of the specialty items advertised in the full churrasco. We requested these multiple times to both the gaucho and our server, but they never arrived. Lamb chops finally showed up over an hour later, long after we were already full. Most of the cuts were dry. Our server, Aiden, was friendly and did his best, but my girlfriend never received her drink, asked for another side of mash which we never got . At that point, we had to downgrade our meal since so many items were missing. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing Brazilian steakhouse experiences we've had. The service was really friendly , all staff had a pleasant remark while checking in with us- which they did often to make sure we had everything we needed. Obviously the red meats are amazing, but the grilled cheese, the pork chop, and pork belly were fantastic- don't pass on these! The salad bar and sides were stunning, and I was ready for all those Brazilian steakhouse flavors But the experience didn't quite deliver. As I had hoped, Fogo de Chao once again has reached 5-star status with this more than satisfied customer. A friend and I enjoyed a spectacular full Churrasco experience for lunch yesterday to celebrate my 70th birthday. In addition to the delicious offerings on the Market Table, the meat carved table side was moist, succulent and cooked to perfection. The cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes, crispy polenta and fried bananas were great extras. They also offered a lovely Argentinian Red Blend for $8 a glass, a great bargain. Full disclosure... it was so good I had two glasses! And Lucas treated us to a very special birthday dessert. Between the undercooked cold bar, under-seasoned protein choices, never ending sound of the cocktail shaker, the lengthy wait time for service...we won't be back. Honestly, we were sat next to a table of kids, and a solo diner who wouldn't stop joining our conversations. We dined here for Thanksgiving and overall was a fair experience for most of it. Oddly they seemed to be pushing chicken and pork 4-5x more than they had beef options which were very limited. The meat isn't really worth the expensive price of $65 per person anymore. Many meats were either rare or over well done, seems like the cook times/temps are rather inconsistent. A lot of the meat was over salted. Things were generally fine until we were getting ready to leave. We used the restroom and went back to our table (only 2-4 minutes later) to find the entire table cleared of everything and all of our coats REMOVED. I have heard friends from across the country rave about this chain. Let's start with the good - phenomenal wait staff!! Our glasses rarely went below 1/2 full. Everyone asked if we needed anything - salad bar options were ver diverse. The bad For context we went at 5p on Friday. - although the salad bar had many options, it looked like everything had been out since lunch. The smoked salmon which should stay chilled had hard inedible pieces, which made me wonder if I'm going to get food poisoning. The oranges were shriveled up. Cucumbers were warm and limp, many items were Lukewarm rather than hot or cold. - the variety of meat options wasn't very robust until after 6pm. That's an hour of steak, 1/2 cooked medium - well and we are more rare! Not worth $70/person. I would be more interested in coming for lunch and just getting the fresh salad bar for $20. read more

Noted as one of my favorite restaurants. They have an amazing array of food to choose from. The bite sized cheese breads that are brought to the table are sooo good. You have the option to order individual meals off their menu or do the unlimited experience option. They bring out picanha, top sirloin, bacon wrapped steak, pork, pork belly, spicy pork sausage, Brazilian cheese, and more. This experience is $54 usually but sometimes goes on sale. There is a market stand that has salads, cheeses, fruits, and other items that pair well with the main course. The service is always top tier with the servers professionalism. My sons took me here for Mother's Day, do to Highway traffic we were running 10min's late, reservations were for 6:30. First thing tried calling 2 times to advise we were about 10 min late, automated AI system couldn't get anyone nor an option to leave a message, just option to rebook. 2nd arrived as we said 10 minutes late immediately address host of arrival and that reservation 6:30 and apologized for being 10 minutes late, we tried calling, her response was don't worry everyone is with reservations is running late due to highway traffic we will have you seated in few minutes. One hour later we were still not seated, my son witnessed a couple go up to hostess saying reservation for 7:00 and get seated at a table. I asked the hostess where we were on the list she responded 2 more than you, I informed her our reservation was at 6:30, her response well your going to have to wait. 3rd thing, with in seconds hostess informed this gentleman to sit us down, he asked us to follow him, pulled out a chair for me at the same time another waiter/ maitri-d was seating another party at the same table. He stated that that group had to be moved because they spilled their drink on the table and they had to clean so we would have to wait again. WHAT, I was irritated and expressed it. Waited 10 minutes again and than was seated at the table were the drink were spilled at and clean but everything was still wet!!! We ask how the menu worked, I got the expensive choice $92 and choose lobster, my son did the same thing with choice of crab cake, and dessert for both. Well we did as the waitress told us to do help ourselves to what i would call a buffet, help ourselves to the meets being offered at our table, waitress never came back to check on us, not even to ask if we needed refills on our drinks. we were full and waited a half hour more is when our choices finally reached our table from the kitchen, we had them wrap it up to take home. Another matri-D brought us our check and noticed that we never got our desserts, which honestly we had forgotten but again the waitress never came back to check on us, we ask to please wrap up the desserts and we will take it home as well. The food is not worth the price at all, way over price, unorganized,unprofessional, incredibly rude and staff is not attentive to there customers at all. I highly do not recommend this place! My son kept on apologizing to me, he wanted it to be perfect for my Mother's Day. They did not seem to be any method to how they approach tables, they did not have a process for offering different fineness to the same table. the gauchos need practice cutting! at least three pieces of meat, fell into my lap because they cut so close to the edge of the table. The other thing that was not appreciated was the amount of correction that was going on between a trainer/manager and the severs. Again I realizing they are in training mode, but the way he spoke to them and how often and within earshot of customers was uncomfortable. When I go to Fogo de Chão, I am there for the churrasco experience - ALL THE MEATS! Therefore, I restrict myself to just several items from the Market Table & a couple of trips back for the spicy candied bacon. So to celebrate the end of hubby's birthday week, I invited him to Fogo de Chão to fully experience the Market Table. We went on a Thursday & there were only three tables (including us). We asked to be seated close to the Market Table since we were making it the focus of our meal. Jonathan came by to say hi - we had met at previous dining excursions. Since the last time, he was promoted & continues to be a wonderful ambassador of the Fogo de Chão experience! Our waiter, Taj, came by to introduce herself & see if we needed anything. Nope - just give me a plate! And we were off to the Market Table. I went directly for a small plate of the spicy candied bacon (the first of four rounds... no shame in my game!) & a plate of meat, cheese & hummus. YUMMM! I followed it up with a plate of eight tastes of the different salads. In all the years of eating at Fogo de Chão, I have never once tried the Fogo feijoada (traditional black bean stew with sausage) served with rice. That was definitely a mistake on my part - it was delicious! I could also eat my weight in Pão de Queijo - the addictive, cheesy treat that is Brazilian cheese bread. The garlic mashed potatoes were perfection - just the right amount of garlic & a super smooth consistency. I also liked the polenta fries sprinkled with the parmesan cheese. I am not really into plantains - too sweet for me but I know that other people say they are awesome. Hubby was talking with Jonathan about the brunch options on the weekend. Since the restaurant was not busy, he offered to have the chef make hubby an omelet. Hubby joyfully accepted! He asked for three different meats, cheese, mushrooms, spinach & garlic. It didn't photograph well but it was one of the best omelets that we have ever eaten! Last but not least, since we were celebrating hubby's birthday, Taj offered a complimentary dessert. We selected the Tres Leches Cake - vanilla sponge cake soaked in three types of milk, topped with toasted meringue & mixed berries. Since we ate our way through the entire Market Table, four rounds of spicy candied bacon AND an omelet, we asked for the dessert to go. Taj wouldn't let us leave without lighting a candle on a happy birthday plate which was so sweet of her. We tried the cake later at home - it was delectable! What is the best part of the Market Table for a weekday lunch? The experience is $18 per person. WHAT?!?! That is seriously the best deal in town. Overrated. The food wasn't bad, but the experience fell short at the Providence Mall location. The first thing that was off was when I called to make a reservation I noticed that the AI system only offered to speak English and Spanish, but not Portuguese. It's the first time I've heard of a Brazilian Steakhouse where a service wasn't being offered in Portuguese (this ended up being a sign). Making the reservation was easy, and the AI asked if the dinner was for a special occasion and I mentioned it was for a birthday. We were seated fairly fast, asked for the $65 Full Churrasco then went to the salad bar, which doesn't have many of the options that a traditional Brazilian steakhouse has, just a bunch of different types of salads. After we got salad, there were a number of different meats that came by during the first ten minutes but after that the service started to drop off. Also, it seems like the gauchos were trained to only cut two pieces for you at a time before moving on. Also something I'm not used to at an authentic Brazilian steakhouse. Not sure how their system works, but we had to ask two different waitstaff for the check, while a third ended up bringing it back to us. To top it off, no one asked whose birthday it was before paying the check . That was the whole reason we were there. The food wasn't bad, but trying to sell it as more upscale is where they dropped the ball here. No reason for me to return. I'll stay way from the franchise Brazilian steakhouses. read more

First time, but the experience was not great. I love Brazilian steak houses and was hoping this place would be a hit. We came for our anniversary at 8:30pm reservation. Restaurant says it close at 10pm. We were the only ones in the restaurant by 9pm. The food was delicious and the server was polite but we felt rushed. They kept coming with meats (a little too quick) and asked what else we wanted because they wanted to close. I did not enjoy it because in my mind i had to hurry up and eat so they can close up. My husband was eating so fast so we can get out their way. We paid $200+ for two ppl not including tip and didn't feel it was worth it. My recommendation is to not take reservations one hour prior to close if you don't want the service. read more

Got the Fogo de Choa experience where the market table was open as sides, the table is given more sides of mash potatoes, plátano, cheese bread, and waiters come around serving different meats and offering you a delicious selection. Easy enough to understand that if you tag your table green, your offered different meats, and red is no one will offer while you eat. Waiters and staff were so on top of us, it was great. When food was taking a bit, the staff let me know it was on its way. When I shared my dads birthday dinner, they added a birthday card, where he got a complimentary desert! It was great! The deserts are a good side and I recommend sharing because it's a good portion. Meats were delicious! Everything was speedy, neat, and I enjoyed the great service. I have been to the establishment a plethora of times and today was the most unsatisfactory experience I have had the food was great the service was horrendous they walk straight by us on many different occasions it took them nearly nine minutes to acknowledge us and that was the worst i have been treated at any establishment they then hand me a check when I was ready to leave for $147.67 i was ready to pay cash because the food was great but to my surprise when they returned the paid receipt they gave me a receipt for $186 and some change when I asked why our tab went up almost 30 dollars they said they gave us the right check but they might have not added the other items we ordered which was no issue but why would you charge my card for an amount other than what was on the check you gave without communicating with me first . I was excited when I saw that Fogo de Chao was having a wine dinner....I had yet to get there and I love a perfect wine and food pairing! So going to try it I could do both! The space is beautiful! I was impressed when I walked in! We came early to have a cocktail before the dinner started. I chose the Cucumber Basil Smash....it was delicious! Refreshing and light! I also stole a sip of the Premium Caprihania (or however you spell that!) and that was also on point! The reviews on the old fashioned were also good! We then went into the private space for the wine dinner. Our server was absolutely amazing! He was attentive, friendly and authentic! The food and wine were all delicious!! We sampled the cheese bread and then a charcuterie board....followed by a lobster taco, corn chowder and then all the meats! First time at this Providence location. Beautiful and welcoming ambiance as I headed right to the bar for dinner. Was greeted by a friendly bartender. Started me off with water and then I ordered a strawberry hibiscus caipirinha. Sweet, delicious and refreshing with lots of fruit slices. Put in my food order, polenta fries and braised short ribs sliders with caramelized onions. Took a while but there were a couple of televisions to keep me focused. The food was served hat and delicious. The fries were a new taste to my pallet and the sliders were tender and tasty on fresh brioche buns. Have been here twice. It's worth the money to try once or twice, but now I probably would just get a real nice steak at the market to put on the grill. But the problem is while most of the meats are decent...I only want the grilled chicken or the piece of pork or sausage ONCE...I want the filet mignon and the ribeye one hundred times. So...be greedy! If the cut you like comes around, get on your hands and knees and beg for more. Especially if it doesn't come around again- the ribeye came out like once an hour the first visit. We heard about Fogo de Chao from a friend that raved about the restaurant. We had the rare opportunity to go since we were at providence place mall for shopping. When entering the restaurant the atmosphere looked nice and welcoming and upscale. Then I looked over to the buffet, I said wait this is not a sit down meal? They explained that the meat is brought out to the table but the salad and sides are from the salad bar. Already I was disappointed as I saw a lot of people handling the food like it was a college cafeteria. We sat down and ordered the Churrasco experience. There was four of us and each ordered the same for the full experience. We went to salad bar first and most of the salad was picked over and there was fruits, cheese and a soup station. It did not look appetizing, especially with the handling of strangers breathing on everything. We returned to our table and waited for the "experience" of meats to arrive. It was slow, one skewer of chicken wrapped in bacon and then a 10 minute wait for the next round. Ours plates sat bare! A waiter came over to ask if we needed anything and we asked for filet mignon to come around, he said he would ask them. One came out but when it was time for our table only one piece was left for us which we gave to our hungriest family member. Another 5 minutes of waiting and bottom sirloin was passed around, we passed and explained we were waiting for the filet. Then top sirloin and we added that to our plate, but it was rubbery and cold. We finally had the filet mignon come to our table and we doubled down on it so we would have enough to eat and not wait longer. The meat was good and tasty. Then all of sudden they started to come out all at once, Chorizo, chicken, steak, lamb. Most of them were tasty and had good flavor. I rated this a 3 because the overall experience was a dud for the price and hype. I could have gone to a smaller Brazilian Rodizio and received better service, better price with tasty meat options. Next time we are in providence place mall we wont go chasing waterfalls and stick to our favorite Fleming's. read more

we have been here almost every week in the summer. there's a reason this restaurant has a bunch of locations across the nation! fogo de chão has been consistent almost every time we came. we've come during very slow afternoons and very busy evenings and the service and quality of food has been consistent almost every time. there was a time when it was very busy and some of my food didn't arrive at all but the staff apologized and got it done at the end. when this happens just keep checking in with them the quality of the meats are great. my husband is a red meat enthusiast and he always gets his money's worth. staff tries to give and offer us more food/meat slices, checking in with us every so often, and the side dishes are delicious also and are refillable. the bathrooms are clean. the market table is my personal favorite as i happen to like the fruits and smoked salmon a lot lol! the salads are fresh but the rice can be 50/50, sometimes it's fresh sometimes it tastes like it's been there all day. nonetheless everything else tastes delicious and i would not hesitate to bring out of town guests here! don't be afraid to ask for what you want, they will try to accommodate as much as they can. 10/10 food and service across the board, and would come back again! will try other locations in the future :) read more
