Food was great! Everything else, meh. In their defense we showed up with a group of 15 on a Tuesday at lunchtime. There were *2* people working. The server and a cook. It took 2 hours for all of us to order and get our meals. Granted this place is by the airport and they may not be expecting much lunchtime traffic. Either tell us it's going to be a long lunch due to staffing or don't be open.

Service was outstanding! We went on a Friday when the Mariachi band was playing. It was loud but everyone was having fun. We ended up singing "Querida" with them even though that's the only word me knew. The portions are huge! I had the ceviche bandido which was quite good for the low price of 17.95. The bistec was OK although not my favorite recipe. The restaurant could use a thorough cleaning, especially the menus.

This place has so much potential, has good service and great vibes with live entertainment. However I'm giving them one start due to the price gauging on beverages. I was charged $126.23 for six captains and coke!!!!!! $15.96 per drink. NEVERR have I been charged this much for RUM!!!! How can you justified charging this much for RUM!!! You're located in Warwick!! Not South Beach. I would think you would want repeat customers. Unfortunately I can definitely say I won't be going back

The portions are very small it's basically a restaurant for people that are passing threw the airport but for local regulars now I see why it's always empty but thought I would give it a shot. Since the airport had a bomb scare and the area was all locked down. Saw the waitress to place order and to pay the bill no check in for refills on beverages or anything. The ambiance is a restaurant the second star is for the ambiance not food or service. Do not let this place take out gratuity if not satisfied with the service. Complementary chips and salsa were pretty good and Appetizers were delicious. I ordered a margarita and it was honestly chiefs kiss. However my steak had nothing but fat and tbh it was not edible. If I were to go back it would just be for the apps and vibes. I went for a birthday celebration and they were easily able to accommodate 9 ppl. They had a live mariachi band going around each table taking request which I thought was nice.

Being from SoCal, I was exposed to Mexican food early and often. My favorite Mexican fare involves seafood--not many are aware that Mexican cuisine features some really savory ways to cook fish, shrimp, squid, and other fruit of the sea. You can just imagine how delightfully surprised I was when I spotted this restaurant--"El Marinero" (The Sailor), taking over what used to be a Greek diner. I went for what sounded to be really scrumptious--Fish Zarandeado and Shrimp Zarandeado--and judging from the photos I am sharing here, you can see I was not disappointed. The menu is certainly pricey but the quality of the food justifies this. Our server kept pressuring us to get an alcoholic drink in the friendliest of ways so I gave in and ordered the Margarita Mangonada. I was impressed. The drink was expensive but unlike other places where they just serve the $15 margarita in a larger glass and that's that, El Marinero bothered to create a work of art. It's so cute! There's a yellow duckie in a pool of margarita with the tequila nip bottle turned upside down, slowly blending into the mix, and a chamoy that added a salty-sour kick, in a carefully salt-rimmed glass. That drink made me happy. Well, here's the twist. Before ordering alcohol, my husband and I simply asked for water for the each of us, while perusing the menu. The server came back with two bottles of water. So when the receipt came, we saw a charge of $5. When questioned, the server said that they were having issues with their tap water so she just gave us the bottled water. $5 is not going to break the bank but this was not disclosed to us from the get-go. We could have skipped it. Finally, we were paying and about to tip when we see an 18% gratuity on the bill. There were only two people in our party. Nowhere was this written on their menu. Server says that this is the way their owner has had it since the beginning. That didn't sit well with me. I typically tip 20% and sometimes even more when the service is really great. It's fine to charge gratuity but since this is not common practice for a party of 2, it should be disclosed in a very visible way, to customers. For instance, even as a footer on their menu. Sadly, my experience could have been better. But hey, not everyone will experience what I did and perhaps, after what happened, the management may have even changed their system (hopefully), so customers can have the opportunity to savor the good food and the great margarita.

This new restaurant popped up on the radar and after seeing some of the pictures of the dishes, I had to try something new. So this restaurant specializes in ceviches and being a big fan of ceviche I was stoked by their selections. This new restaurant was once the old Jefferson grill. And once I entered I had a strange feeling and that the restaurant resembled local joints I've been in when I was traveling in Mazatlan Mexico. And after talking to the waiter, that's exactly the same type of restaurant from mazatlan where the owner is trying to create. So the ceviche that we tried was very good. The right amount of lime juice and cilantro. I had the beef fajita taco salad also very good, Wife finished off with the shrimp tostada. And I had the grilled octopus. The food was really good and we will be back with other guests

Man were WE pleasantly surprised!! Outside it doesn't have a standout look. Just a darkly painted house with a decent size parking lot. But once you step inside it actually catches you off guard a little! Modern decor, beautifully tiled floors, bright and fresh! We were seated quickly and everything on the menu said "order me!" I got an unsweetened tea that was brewed just right and fresh. I hate skunky tea! We ordered the birria quesadilla to share, my coworker wasn't familiar. One bite and he was HOOKED. The meat was soo flavorful and tender and the SAUCE! Rich, bursting with flavor. I ordered several of the tacos: the scallop, seared tuna, pork carnitas and the Baja fish. Again, flavortown! Fresh, citrusy, creamy, cooked just right and a hint of heat on all of them. My coworker got the beef bbq burrito. Man that thing was stuffed with a crispy shell. Full of meat, rice and beans. He got the red chile sauce on the side but after the birria he just used that b/c he couldn't get enough of it! I thought this place was phenomenal and I've been telling everybody to go!
