So for those looking to fill their bellies with good eats then this place fits the bill. Tried their birria tacos, and they were cheesy and greasy in the best way. The consommé was flavorful and not too overpowering. You could eat it like a soup and be pleasantly surprised. The beef was tender but a little dry. Needed the broth. As a quick casual bite place, it's a very solid place to go. The parking lot is the biggest gripe, but outside of the businesses control. My friend and I tried Baja's for lunch today and were very pleasantly surprised. We had never heard of Baja's despite being in the area often, but we are so glad we got a chance to try it. We ordered a wet burrito and a chimichanga, both of which were delicious and huge, especially for the price. The food was all very fresh tasting and cooked/prepared perfectly. We also chose to eat in the restaurant, which for a quick-service place was quite cozy and inviting. Overall, great prices, great food, and great convenience. HUGE bonus that this place offers maduros, which are a game changer to any dish. They are an additional cost but that is compensated by the free guac!! I love the alternative option to a Chipotle or Moes, and this place offers much more variety at a fairly cheaper cost. Everything tasted delicious and we would come back again. My only complaint are the plastic containers that the food comes in.. Hot food on plastic is not great for your health or the environment, so I hope they switch these out with something more eco and human friendly. read more

Yes, yes, yes! Surprisingly good!! It used to be a Burger-Fi that closed down, but they kept the furnature and lighting fixtures. The ambiance was good, It was bright and clean the music was appropriate and not blaring. I had expected it to be like another Chipoltle (which I don't love, but we won't get into that here) but I was pleasantly suprised. This place had excellent service, the meats were cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the veggies tasted like they were fresh off the grill! Portion sizes were generous and the food was served in a to-go container that were (pro: leakproof with great seal as not to leak juice from leftovers and very sturdy / con: VERY hard to open.) The concept is "similar" to Baja Fresh which is also good, but I thought this place was a step above that. I was impressed. I would definately re-visit this establishment & recommend it to others. read more

I had no expectations going in (I just needed a quick bite after shopping at BJ's nextdoor), but was very pleasantly surprised. The prices match the going rate for Mexican-style, fast-casual restaurants (Chipotle, Qdoba, Moe's, etc), but very jusy weights when it came to protein/toppings. The seasoning on everything on my burrito was excellent, and the extra hot salsa was flavorful, while still packing a wallop of spicy heat. The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. Today I stopped at Baja's for lunch... it's the kind of food that warmed my heart!! So much so that I couldn't wait too long to write this review. In general I love Mexican food, and if you are too .. then you really must check them out ASAP. So many menu choices soups & salads, tacos, wet burritos, enchiladas, and quesadillas they even have subs and wraps. But when I saw the taco shell salad.. I had to have it... you can add your choice of protein but I had a vegetarian bowl, rice, bean guac, jalapeño oh and those pickled onions (yum) topped with hot sauce. I ate it to my hearts content. I was tempted to have churros (6) with ice cream but I'll save that for next time. They also had horchata, tamarindo and passion fruit for drinks. The interior is so elegant and aesthetic.. Last night my friend and I went to Baja's in Manchester. We were both in the mood for Mexican food, so this was the place. The colors are sure to catch your eye, there's colorful words on the windows outside. The inside is very cute with some colorful, Mexican decor. This is a fast food type of place. You order at the counter, tell them exactly what to put in your meal, it will be ready very quickly. You can then dine inside, or you can take it to go. I got three soft tacos. I'm not really fond of meat, when they asked me what kind of meat I would like, I'm not sure why I said pulled pork. I should have skipped it for sure. This pulled pork completely ruined these tacos. It was far too salty. Additionally, I got guacamole, tomatoes, corn and shredded cheese in my tacos. Everything appeared pretty good. It was difficult to deal with the salty pulled pork once it was already there. My friend got a quesadilla with shrimp, beans, zucchini and cheese. This was a very filled quesadilla. It was very good, not at all salty like mine was. Both of our portions were pretty big. Baja's is a nice place to get some Mexican food in a pinch. Just choose your ingredients wisely. read more

The food at Baja is great however the multiple times that I personally been there, I never see any smiles , noone greeting us , wishing a good day or at least telling their customer to enjoy their food. Im a good tipper however I never do cause I feel that they there to work without interaction . Its sad that such of great place have hire people who don't have any people skills. They'll laugh and talk to each other but never with the customer and if they do I never experience it. This visit was our second to a Bajas. We've been impressed with the quality and value of the food. Lots of choices - no matter your tastes or dietary needs. My wife and I both had veggie salads - in addition to the lettuce base, we got a lot of sautéed vegetables - and of course, lots of other choices, including rice, beans, corn, pico, cheese, salsa olives, peppers and more. For a reasonable up-charge, you could get add-ones like guacamole, avocado and plantains. (We got the avocado and plantains.) They also make rice bowls, tacos, burritos, and more. Here's the surprising thing: they have a variety of non-Latin foods - from Chicken wings to steak and cheese grinders! Service was speedy. I haven't been up this way in about three months, and in that time Baja's opened in the former Manchester BurgerFi location. Going on positive reviews, I placed an online order for a rice bowl and went to pick it up. The thing was HUGE and made correctly, and a serious value for the number of ingredients included, namely: Rice Black Beans Shrimp Grilled onions and peppers Grilled veggie mix Cheddar Cheese Cilantro Sour Cream Guacamole Tomatoes Pico Olives Lime Wedges This gut buster cost $11.50 before tax and was worth it. Happy to see they were pretty busy at noon on a Friday, perhaps cashing in on the BJ's shoppers wandering over from next door. If I had any complaint it would be the pickup process. There isn't one. This place is so damn good. My friends and I love going it's like a chipotle on steroids. You get so much food and it's always so tasty and flavorful. They also have amazing cheesesteaks which you wouldn't really expect. Their bomb stir fry wrap is so fire. Great crew, friendly and quick. Brightly lit, plenty of seats. But thats where it ends for me. Tried a trio of taco's. They were...ok. But by the time they got home they were a mushy taco salad. Blame it on the transit. Got a trio of enchilada's. The salsa verde poured on top was... not sure where they got the recipe from, but I wasn't thrilled. The meat filling was uneventful. Rice on the side had a funky flavor. I ate one enchilada and ended up tossing the other two. Overall I felt $26 bucks go down the drain. Maybe i'm just used to the Toro Azteca up the hill, cus this was like a different flavor profile all together. Wasn't working for me. There's a lot of choices in the area when it comes to burritos tacos etc. I was honestly happily surprised with how good the food is. I was expecting a chipotle vibe but so so much better. I got a pork burrito and it was a 10/10. Queso was great, guac was amazing, and I ordered the tamarind juice and it was gone quick! Meh, it's fast food. I had the chipotle chicken enchiladas with red sauce. They were mediocre. My biggest complaint is how luke warm they were. They went through a device to melt the cheese but otherwise they were pretty cool and not super appetizing. Not sure I'll come back. Usually very good but today not so much. Ordered online a salad with chicken. The salad was SOAKED it was so gross and idk what it was soaked with because the dressing came on the side.
