Came in today and wanted to try something different. Ate there so I can see how the food is there fresh. Got a carnita bowl and beef & cheese empanada. Service was fine and the food came out hot and quick when dining in. It wasn't too busy so I got lucky in a Friday. I haven't been here in a while so I forgot how they taste. Last time I got the empanada tacos and that was delicious. However, today was a fail. The carnita felt like a dry pernil that didn't have flavor but salt. Eating it with rice and lettuce didn't hit the spot. I added hot sauce and I felt like it wasn't worth the money. The empanada filling was actually good, but it wasn't super greasy coming out the fryer prob needs to drain the oil a bit more. It was just a fail for me today. I'll still come back for their empanada tacos. read more

The empanada taco didn't disappoint! Service was nice and friendly , the man behind the counter, had a lot of patience and explaining us the menu. The aqua Fresca was good. I had a pineapple mango flavor. This place was small/cozy and actually quite busy for lunch. I would like to try the other location some day . Parking could be challenging; we literally had people parking behind us just so they can pick up the food but overall a good experience. I just wish there was a little bit more pico de gallo and maybe sour cream on the side. read more

El sol deli has become my new go to place for comfort food. I would give it 10/5 stars ... it's that good!! This cozy shop serves some authentic, fresh and absolutely delicious food. The service is top tier and quick. Vegetarians they got you covered, they can make anything vegetarian although it's not listed on the menu... just ask. The price point is reasonable. They are home to "The empanada taco" and it is to die for. Served warm and crispy ... you're sure to sigh with every bite. To me, the tortilla is what defines a great taco, it's fresh soft and homemade. I have not yet had anything that I dislike here. And don't forget to try desserts next door while you're here. It's crazy how often I go... it's getting too addictive. read more

Best empanada tacos hands down. I always order from here for take out during my lunch breaks. They always provide great customer service. Took my wife here because they have a small, but cozy seating area, and she loved them too. They also have outside seating area too! read more

Ok it's not a deli in the traditional sense but man, this place is a home run in every other sense. It's a quick serve place that dishes up some fantastic tacos and burritos. We loved the empanada tacos but the burrito is a star too. Chock full and just a great mix of flavors. Friendly service and hot and fresh. Loved it! read more

I tried El Sol Deli for the first time today takeout. I had the beef Quesadilla and a chorizo taco. The taco was very good and packed with sausage and onions. I just wish it was a little bigger. The Quesadilla was very tasty and filling. My only criticism is that it was kind of greasy, I will try it again though. read more

Not a delicatessen, but a fine place for tacos Was in the area hoping to do a lunch at a local British pub. They were not open, so came here instead. Thinking about getting a sandwich or a hot dog, we came in and it was solely Mexican fare. Not complaining, but the pics online make it seem like their menu is a bit more robust than that. We got tacos, empanadas, and another dish i forget the name of. Food comes out reasonably quick, and we got some green sauce as well. Everything was fresh, tasty, and completely unhealthy. The menu is not for the health conscious, it's for the people who was very tasty food for not a lot of money. The tacos had fresh tortillas, the taco empanada was stuffed to the gills and fried up heavy, everything was heavy hitting, and I'm still working off the meal. That being typed though, it's good! If you want fresh made tacos and some crazy empanadas, then give these guys a try! read more

I kept hearing about this restaurant on Instagram and people were saying this is a great spot for Taco's, so I had to come check them out. When I got there the restaurant was packed. I mean a line out the door packed. As I got to the register, it started getting so packed that the owner was telling people that he wasn't serving anymore food because he was about to close in about forty five minutes. This establishment has cafe hours which means that it is only open until five, even on the weekends. I ordered their famous Empanadas Tacos and I ordered the Steak, Chicken, and Ground Beef. I also ordered their Birria Tacos. It took about twenty minutes to come out considering there were a lot of people waiting for their food. The Empanada Tacos were okay. The meat was lacking flavor and it just seemed like it was missing something. Maybe a sauce. The Birria Tacos were good very flavorful and the Consomé was good but it could have used a little love. Overall, they were okay Tacos. The customer service was great as the owner apologized about not taking anymore orders. He did thank all the customers inside for all their support and he really appreciated their business. read more

Service - the owner was nothing but sweet and considerate. He had a huge line but still managed to remain calm and get the job done! Ambiance - small but had good vibes, decor was nice. Food - Ive been craving/so interested in trying this spot. I went one Saturday afternoon and they were sold out!! This place has been popular ever since it opened. So i came back another day to try it and it did not disappoint. First i had the Birria tacos, this was flavorful and good, for the price it was very fulfilling! Secondly, i had to try their empanada tacos. THIS was delicious, the flavor was unbeatable. I never had something like this and it was something where i have to come and try again and again. It's a cute place and my partner and I had high hopes, we heard good things! But we got chicken tacos, steak tacos, and a couple other things as well as a guava empanada for dessert... These tacos had the driest meat I've ever had in a taco.. yet somehow were still dripping liquid.. flavor wasn't really there either... and the guava empanada was so hard and dry with barely any filling. Unfortunately we won't be back.. pretty disappointed... read more

I stopped in for my first time, hoping for tasty homemade lunch. The inside is very small and has an overwhelming smell of Fabuloso which immediately gave me a headache. My Philly Cheese Steak cost $12.50 and came with fries. The sandwich was flavorless and the bread was larger than the fillings. The fries were greasy and tasted like rancid oil that doesn't get changed often. I tossed most of my lunch and left still feeling hungry with a headache and horrible taste in my mouth. I was in CT to visit my college stident and she shared with me about El Sol Deli. We were able to visit about 30 minutes after they opened and happy we did. It was already buzzing. Along with two foodie bloggers checking out the location. Customer service was fabulous and food came out fast! One of our orders was mislabeled after I took a bite. I went back in and my order was corrected immediately. Again, great customer service. Food was delicious! Only suggestion, pull back on the salt some on the ground beef and chicken. THE CASE OF THE UNFINISHED TACO. I ordered four pollo tacos & one MX Coke today via GrubHub. I requested no onions. What I received was 3 tacos with onions and one MX Coke and one completely empty taco shell. At first, I thought that maybe the taco contents had shifted in the container or the driver had eaten one but that was not the case, as each of three tacos were stuffed with no filling outside of the tacos at all. The driver had delivered it with care and the staples were still on the bag. In calling the store, I spoke with a young man who at first told me that my order had not gone through and would have to be input again. After several minutes of what seemed to be an Abbot & Costello sketch, i was able to convince him that I did receive my order, but it took at least another minute to convince him that I did NOT receive the entire order, just three tacos, one MX Coke, and an empty taco shell. After about a minutes worth of hold, he's back on telling me I have to call Grubhub. I explained that i was not happy receiving an empty taco shell, and he finally mumbled something about the manager putting an order for me or something to that effect. I said that would be good. He said I would have to call the manager even though I explained that I was driving and wouldn't be able to write the number down and asking him if he could give my number to the manager. This went on for another minute. Not kidding, the total call was 8 minutes and 33 seconds! I eventually just gave up and said goodbye. This was not a language barrier, because, at least as far as I know, the kid spoke the same English I did. I am very hesitant to write bad reviews (I've only written one on Yelp before) but if a business thinks that little of its customers to put this kid on the end of a phone handling customers on any level, they just don't care. I wouldn't even complain about the onions, as they might have been busy and what type of weirdo orders tacos without onions (me) but, IMO only the most stoned postal in the kitchen could possibly forget to put the stuff in the taco that is so obviously sitting there alone, empty, sad, and uneaten. I hate to go all grassy knoll, but me thinks it 'twas on purpose. I am not happy about it, but I'm not going to give them any more business, in spite of the fact that they are the best tacos I've had outside of AZ & MX and up until 1548 today I've been a regular customer and major booster of the restaurant. I'll make do with other, lesser tacos where I receive better customer service. CASE CLOSED. read more

A small restaurant in the heart of downtown Manchester, I was surprised to see that when I pulled up the line was out the door. I've heard so many positive reviews (mainly word of mouth) that I decided to stick around. The line moved swiftly (I was told by the owner that people pay once they pick up their food, not when they place their order) and the gentleman at the cash register was very friendly although having to deal with tons of customers. After I placed my order I sat in the corner of the restaurant and patiently waited for my name to be called. Everyone in the restaurant seemed in good spirits and the owner would come by occasionally to answer questions and greet customers. I ended up ordering the chicken tacos and carnitas tacos. They were around $11.50 each which is a fair price for 3 tacos. I was told the empanadas has cheese in them and having a dairy allergy, I unfortunately couldn't indulge (I was told different after I left but wait until the end*) After getting my order I decided to eat at home due to the restaurant being packed, and when I ate my tacos I was delightfully surprised. The flavor. The soft shells. The fresh ingredients. These may be the best tacos I've ever had and I can't wait to revisit and try everything else on the menu*. Twice. 5/5 stars, run, don't walk here!! read more

We saw thedamtok review of this place on TikTok and had to try it out. Happy to live in Manchester next to a place like this. Everything was on point. The empanada taco was crispy and flavorful. The toppings didn't over power the meat inside and were just the right amount. The chorizo and steak were so delicious, not salty and tasted fresh. Everything on it had its own flavor and they complimented each-other really well. The torta bread was boooomb. My daughter ate her quesadillas and I couldn't snap a pic but if she ate it then we know it was good. Overall this food looks like it was made with a lot of love and we absolutely enjoyed it. GREAT! I'm on trip #4 since they've opened and it's always fresh and tastes great. Highly recommend. The dude at the register is cool and remembers you if you visit more than once. Wow, so yummy! Checked this place out after work tonight. Got the beef and cheese and empanada taco and the chorizo empanada taco and they were so delicious. The green sauce on the side was Yum! The food overall was solid, I'd rate it a solid 3 out of 5. I felt like it lacked a bit of zest, perhaps a lime to squeeze over the tacos ( maybe they just forgot mine) would have elevated the flavors. The meat was cooked nicely and was the star of the show, but the red sauce seemed a bit watered down. I skipped the green sauce cause yall know I don't bangs with the green sauce cilantro taste like soap to me , but I could sense the potential in the meat's flavor profile. Maybe toasting the taco bread a bit more would have added that extra crunch. Honestly, my only problems could have been solved by trying what they're known for empanada tacos, which I'll definitely try for next time. So, for now, it's a 3 out of 5 for me if I go back I'll update y'all on how much it bumps this place up. As for service I couldn't be upset they were quick and efficient the food came out the perfect temp I just wish they had more seats for the amount of people in there but that's a good thing. Ambiance ima say this the music they were playing for sure a 10/10 definitely some bangers being played on the tv I almost got up and started dancing but I had to chill. read more

Oh em goodness!! This place is amazing. I didn't know how much I needed an empanada taco until I had one here. They are soooo good! The service was good as well. Its a cute little place so be prepared to possibly have to do take out but so worth it. Definitely give them a try! The line may be out the door but thats because they are amazing. read more

For my first drink, I'm having a Manhattan made with Old Overholt Rye Whiskey, sweet vermouth and orange bitters. It's quite good. It's nicely garnished and well balanced. For my first item, I'm having the Garden Salad (side version) made with iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. This is good! I love the dressing! The music is nice and the right sound level. The bartender is knowledgeable and very pleasant. All of the menus are posted on slate chalkboards. For my next food item, I'm having the Pasta Faglioli soup made with cannellini beans and mixed pasta in a homemade tomato and vegetable broth. Will you look at this? That's a huge plate! This is a lot to eat! A meal in itself! This is a lot to eat! I'm impressed! It tastes great and is piping hot! For my next drink, I'm having the Old Fashioned made with Old Forester Bourbon, aromatic bitters, orange bitters and sugar. It's not bad. A little less water (to make it a bit stronger) would go a long ways. However, it is nicely garnished (lemon on the bottom). For my appetizer, I'm having the Baked Meatballs. This normally is 6, but I have requested a half order (3). They can do it! These are ground beef and pork meatballs baked o their homemade marinara sauce topped with 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese and served with 2 (1 for me) garlic bread crostinis. Look at this! These guys can deliver! These are delicious! The crostini is awesome! For my next drink, I'm having a Fig Martini made with Figenza Mediterranean Vodka, Combier, lime juice and cranberry juice. Combier is a French brand of liqueurs founded in 1834, most known for creating the world's first triple sec orange liqueur, Combier L'Original, by Jean-Baptiste Combier and his wife Josephine. Produced in Saumur, France, using traditional methods and a proprietary recipe of sweet and bitter oranges, water, and sugar, the company also offers other liqueurs, including Royal Combier (a blend with cognac and spices) and Combier Le Bleu (a premium blue curaçao). This is an interesting ingredient that I've never seen before. This is a good drink! It has a unique taste! It's similar to a Cosmopolitan. It's nicely garnished and well balanced. For my entree, I'm having the Chicken Marsala. This comes with bread and salad. I already had the salad so none extra for me. These are tender medallions of chicken and mushrooms sautéed in a sweet Marsala wine sauce tossed with penne. This smells good! It's piping hot! The dish is nicely garnished! This is real good! I like this bread! What a great meal here!

They had a beautiful Turkish Moroccan Mosaic lamp hanging right at the front. I was surprised they had cocktails and alcoholic beverages available. This is not typical in Middle Eastern restaurants. The prices were very reasonable I had to do a double take that they weren't mocktails. Their menu features plenty of traditional meaty options, some fresh salads and appetizers. I first started with their mojito. This was fresh and minty. A delightful cocktail. Their complimentary bread, was pillowy and fresh. Be careful, it is easy to overdo it with this delicious bread. For an appetizer we got a serving of their Babaganoush. This was an excellent pairing to that bread. This was incredibly tasty, you could taste the the eggplant, the olive oil and the lemon juice, together they created a super dreamy creamy combo. I got their version of a Gyro Quesadilla. This arrived with four very generous portions. It was filled with tender lamb and melted cheese. We got a Greek salad to share. This salad was very generous in its size, it was very fresh and tasty. We concluded with their chocolate cake. There were plenty of other traditional dessert options. This cake was very chocolatey and fresh. The top layer was very dark chocolate to me. I have not been to very many Turkish restaurants. I believe the last one was in Springfield. They play Turkish music and the employees are all Turkish (I think). The place is really big. There must be [at least] 40 tables in here. Do not be deceived by the small store front. It is very deep. It's incredibly clean. I could even smell the cleaning chemicals at first. They start me off with a complementary carafe of water. It's nice. I don't believe it is tap water. It must be filtered. They also serve complementary bread with either oil or butter. That's a LOT of bread. A meal in itself! For my first drink, I am having the J.W. Black Label Old Fashioned. This is made with Johnny Black Walker, Elderflower liqueur and Angostura bitters. I've never seen an Old Fashioned made this way. This is classy! They use a circular ice cube to minimize the dilution tine. It is perfectly balanced, nicely garnished (two lemon peels) and has a very unique taste (thanks to the elderflower liqueur). This is good! The menus are very nice too and include pictures. The drink menu does not have prices. The decor is nice with a few ethnic paintings (and a few not filled yet). I like the [artificial] trees in the dining area. They hang cool lights on the walls. Nice, colorful, low hanging chandeliers too. For my soup, I'm having the mercimek (lentil). Mercimek çorbası (lentil soup) is the most popular and widely consumed soup in Turkey. Ingredients are typically red lentils, onion, carrot, potato or tomato, vegetable or light meat stock, olive oil or butter, and spices such as cumin and paprika. This came out quick! This is piping hot! The soup is delicious! Good portion. I like the addition of the crushed red pepper for a little kick. Be sure to sprinkle that lemon on it. I love the elongated spoon. They also bring out complementary bread and butter. No butter for me. The bread is good! For my salad, I am getting the Tabbouleh (this is Arabic not Turkish) made with parsley, tomatoes, bulgur, scallions, lemon juice and olive oil. Look at this monster salad! It is huge! This came out real quick! This comes with a lemon to sprinkle upon them. They have great presentation and tastes fantastic! Be sure to sprinkle the lemon. It's like a chopped salad. The Tabbouleh had a LOT of parsley. For my next drink, I'm having the Classic Martini made with gin, dry vermouth and olives (garnish). This is made with Greenall gin. I've never had this before. It's not bad! The taste is a bit off but is still fine. There are a lot of small, floating ice particles, but I don't care. It does , keep it cool, and melts quick. It has a nice olive garnish skewer too. Very good overall! For my appetizer, we are having the Mized Meze. Meze is a selection of small dishes served as appetizers in Arabic and West Asian cuisines. You know me! I loved samplers! This includes humus, babagannush, eggplant salad, haydari, havuc tarator & antep ezme. Hummus is a Middle Eastern dip, spread, or savory dish made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. Baba ghanoush, also known as baba ganouj or muttabal, is a creamy, smoky eggplant dip that originated in the Levant region of the Middle East. The dish is made by blending roasted or grilled eggplant with tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and seasonings. Haydari is a type of yogurt dish similar to a thick cacık, made from certain herbs and spices, combined with garlic and yogurt. Antep Ezme is made with tomatoes, hot peppers, green peppers, onions, garlic, walnuts and olive oil. Look at this! You have to love the carrot slices dividing the individual items. There is paprika scattered on top. The server lays down the spoons as he describes each one. This goes great with bread! Wow! Is this good! I love the variety of textures and flavors! For my entree, I'm having the Chicken Kofte (flat chicken meatballs). Spicy please! Chicken meatballs aren't easy to find. This is the best! That jalapeño is hot! The salad has a nice light dressing too. I love the grilled tomato! This flavor is unbelievable! It was also nice to have a few minutes to chat with the owner! For my dessert drink, I'm having the Turkish coffee. Turkish coffee is a rich, unfiltered coffee made from finely ground beans simmered in a special pot (cezve) with water and sugar, resulting in a strong brew with grounds that settle at the bottom. It is extremely fine, like powder, much finer than espresso. Black, for me. I like the metal cup, this way it's not too hot in the hands. This is thick and yummy! For my dessert, I'm having the Pistachio Cake. This is a first for me. The plate is nicely chilled. This is real good! This place is incredible! There is no shortage of leftovers. I have at least two more servings worth. What a fantastic meal!

The waitress warned us that the portions would be huge. I've heard that about several places before…read moreand it's not always true. Let me tell you... it's TRUE. I ordered the Chicken Parm Grinder. I decided to get a whole one to make sure I'd have half a sandwich for leftovers the next day. I couldn't believe how big the sandwich was when it arrived. I ended up cutting one half into 3 sections and couldn't even finish all 3 of them. It doesn't come with any sides, but how could you possibly have room to eat any sides?? Everything was served in oversized portions and we went home with a ton of leftovers which were just as good the next day. It's a little pricey, but you're getting SO much food that it doesn't feel like a ripoff. The waitress was extremely nice and attentive, no complaints at all!
