Went early on Sunday were the first and only customers. We loved that! Our server, Kaitlyn, was terrific. They have a unique menu--you order from a flight and get to choose several items from that flight. Example-we ordered a Bruschetta Flight--got 3, prosciutto and peach, traditional tomato and blueberry and beets. $16.50 They were delicious! This was fun! Next we ordered from the Land Flight... steak tips, lamb lollipops, 5 oz meatball and marinara with ricotta.The meats were terrific! Meatball, so so. True Tapas. In fact the chef came out and greeted us with gusto and cheer announcing "I am from Spain!". Portions are small, traditional tapas, but they also have a full regular menu too. Overall we had a lovely dinner at Blackstone. My only thing is that for the price it made it feel a bit more of a novelty spot vs a spot you'd want to head in regularly. Like I did enjoy it, but $19 for a very small piece of rib eye to add to the board, felt a bit much. With that being said our server was great, friendly and very on top of things. The pasta flight was tasty and fun and I did enjoy the fry flight. For the land flight, I just wish it would have come with a side, maybe a veggie on the board. Would have love to have seen a dessert flight! The interior is neat and you can tell a lot of thought went into it. Another great visit at Blackstone! We sat at a table and Matt was our waiter. He was awesome, very accommodating, attentive, and friendly. We tried to get a seat at the bar, but it was full at 7pm. We got the trio of fries, shrimp, ravioli, and tuna. Every one of them were delicious! We were a party of 4 and our hunger was satisfied with the 4 appetizers. The Tuna and cucumber was definitely my favorite. The lobster ravioli was unbelievable and the bacon wrapped shrimp...omg! Fresh oysters rolled in and the chef brought 6 of them out for us. Oysters were definitely on point, fresh, small, and delicious. Can't wait go back for some more. This is a great place to go with your foodie friends so you can try different things. I love everything about this place & think everyone needs to try it out! The entire menu is broken down into flights (appetizers with shrimp, calamari, french fries) pasta, protein from land and sea, drinks etc. There's a small menu on the back of regular sized plates and I think every menu item can also be made full size instead of a flight. We got the mojito flight, regular order of truffle fries, and the pasta & land flight. From someone who hates the taste of alcohol the mojitos were literally the best alcoholic drink I have ever had. Specifically the blueberry flavor. The truffle fries were absolutely amazing and the fry itself was the best kind of french fry you could ask for. The pasta flight was good, we did the alfredo, pesto, and penne vodka. Alfredo was a little too creamy and cheesy for me but if you like a heavier alfredo sauce you'd enjoy this. Pesto was a little disappointing at first but we realized it really needed to be mixed to get all the flavors together. The penne vodka was the star of the show and tasted sooo good. THE STEAK TIPS. I wish I got three orders of them, I don't even like steak that much and they were so flavorful and yummy. We paired it with the chicken parm and meatball. The chicken parm was good, kind of tasted like every other one from any restaurant. The meatball flavor was good but the texture kind of freaked me out but that might just be a me problem. This experience was so good and I love that you can try a little bit of everything. Each flight is customizable and the pricing is based off of each individual item. My best friend and I checked this place out on Friday night. Super busy in there and we were seated in just under 10 minutes! Really cute decor but unfortunately the service and food/flights were sub par. We did not do a full dining experience--the mojito flight, calamari flight, and ahi tuna flight. Mojitos: tbh I thought they tasted non alcoholic. Calamari: RI style was not great, honestly pretty oily. Same with the pesto flavored-- both of those flavors had about half inch of oil in the bottom of the bowl which made me feel so sick it was so oily. The sweet chili calamari was my fav of the 3!!! Ahi tuna: pretty alright but didnt have anything exciting. All 3 varients were kinda the same vibe too nothing very interesting or crazy flavors. Quite bland. Overall I would not prefer to dine back there again it felt more of an ambient and aesthetic place over the quality of food and service. I definitely think there is room for improvement. read more

The staff and drinks are the only thing I would recommend. The food was horrible. We ordered the Shrimp Flight and it was over fried. My wife order the flight of bruschetta which was non eatable. This is a recently opened steakhouse in EG, they also have one in Coventry. We made reservations, the inside is very pretty and the ambiance, moody, the service was a little slow but they only had 1 waitress. I ordered the wine flight it was ok not with the price. I had the steak flights and they were perfect, truffle Mac and cheese was heavenly! The French onion soup lacked passion and flavor wouldn't get that again. I would make reservations especially on weekends as the place is pretty small We got a sea flight and a land flight both which were cooked to perfection! Another great dining experience at Blackstone in EG. My wife and I enjoy the flights concept and it never fails to please. We went early and the chef came out to say hello and update us on the menu. He has serious talent and the summer menu is light and refreshing. The server and hostess also provided excellent service. Highlights include the lamb chops on the meat flight as well as the "thanksgiving" eggroll on the appetizer flight. The flight of seafood combined lobster / scallops and salmon as three different tastings. All were excellent. The lettuce wraps (3 different) were also winners. Try the chicken teriyaki lettuce wrap. They are opening a new location on Federal Hill. I enjoyed my beer. My wife however had a flight of Martini's - all were delicious (or so I was told). I had originally planned to go to a restaurant down the street, but fortunately they closed on me and I just happened to walk into Blackstone. Dope and modern ambience. I'm from California so of course I was searching for some sort of seafood. I ended up ordering the calamari flight, lobster flight, and scallops for the sides, I had asparagus and cream spinach. I highly recommend all of it! The bartender/server and her cohort were hella cool and pleasant to talk to. The Cooke/co-owner happened to come out and chop up some conversation with myself. It was a really good experience because I don't interact that much while I'm on business trips. My husband and I went there for the first time to celebrate our anniversary! Let me tell you about this 5 star experience! The staff was phenomenal from waitresses to bar staff! My wife and I and another couple dined here tonight. We were excited to try Blackstone, as we had never been. First of all, making a reservation was not a confidence builder. I called late afternoon two days ahead of time and a man answered. I asked for 6:30 on Friday and he seemed to be searching for something to write it down on. He took it and then said someone would call me back that day or the latest, the next. No call ever came. I called again after 5 the next day to confirm. A young man answered and check and said that no our reservation wasn't in their system, but he would add it then. So we were set. We arrived OnTime and were seated close to the front window, unfortunately directly under the loud music speaker. We could not converse. Before we could say anything, The manager came over as if to check, she then lowered the volume a bit, but not enough to make it so we could converse easily. (No, we are not hard of hearing). The speaker feeds the whole (small) restaurant. (Rather than spreading a few around so that the volume of that one speaker doesn't have to overcome crowd noise). That was not the "Steakhouse" ambiance we were expecting, and it was irritating. I asked our waitress if they could lower it further, she said of course, but they never did. The menu was interesting and reasonable for its offerings. Rather than "steakhouse" I would call it a "flight house" as most of the menu are meal flights. Our server was pleasant, but drink service was incredibly slow. Our meals arrived. (Different staff deliver the meals) Mine never came with the wedge salad. Two of our friends had lobster tail but there was no drawn butter. And my dessert, lava cake, was just cake. No lava. On a positive note, our food was good. Stuffed shrimp, mushroom ravioli delicious. My 4oz "NY Strip" was ordered medium rare. Somehow it was cooked that way, difficult in that at 4oz it's not much bigger than a brownie. My wife's salmon was very good, and after finally getting some drawn butter, so were the lobster tails. So we left feeling like, "well we tried it" but doubt any of us will jump to return. Training, attention to detail, and tightening up communications between waiter/waitress and servers can make a big difference here. Not to mention...get rid of that speaker location! read more

Had a group visit this restaurant after a lovely Instagram video brought us here for the Christmas decor. Entering the restaurant it is very small and cozy. The decorations were appreciated, but too much for the small space if I'm being honest. Valet service is great and the host was kind and took our coats immediately. Drinks: ordered flights of margaritas, mojitos, sangrias, and the season special smoked bourbon drinks. Presentation as clunky and took up all the room on our very small table for 5 people. The drinks were sub par and we were all disappointed. Food: Unfortunately, most things that we tried to order were out, so that made us a little sad. What we did get was okay at best. The filets were over cooked, and the chicken fell flat in flavor. The steak tips stole the show with flavor, but were over cooked as well. Lamb chops were spectacular and were the true front runner. It could be with small portions it's hard to get the temp correct? I'm not sure. Overall I'm glad we went, it was cute, but definitely not worth the price point yet. Absolutely HORRIBLE! Brought my wife here for her Birthday and honestly would rather give myself a lobotomy with a grape fruit spoon before i ever made the mistake of going back. We had reservations for 7:45 and were seated quickly, we even put our orders in super quick. Then no one ever came back, no waitress or anything. After about 40 minutes we were offered bread. Then about an hour later the waitress asked how everything was tasting yet we hadn't received ANY of our meal. Not even the simple Ceaser Salad that my wife ordered as a part of their restaurant week menu. After informing the waitress she said she was sorry and would go check in the back to which she never went in the back and also never came back to the table. After about an hour and fifteen minutes i got the attention of I'm assuming was a manager or something. She went in the back and came back telling me that it was a longer wait was due to my steak i ordered. But i had asked her why the people next to me who i had already spoken to prior to speaking to her hadn't gotten their food and she informed us ticket times were backed up. At this time it was after 9 pm and the restaurant was less than half full as we watched food continually come from the back and go elsewhere. Between the horrific waitstaff attitudes and the absolutely disgusting wait times my wife and I left and got to enjoy pizza by the slice for dinner. The drinks were okay but false advertising for all of the flights as the website says $19.99 but it's actually $25.00 on the menu the martinis were not made fresh they were poured from premix bottles. First they forgot our appetizer and the full size meals were extremely lackluster the food was terrible for Main Street the pasta for the chicken parm was practically swimming in water and the chicken was very tough. The grilled salmon was crunchy and the asparagus was raw. The only item that was memorable was the mashed potatoes. Ended up walking out of there still hungry save your money and go somewhere else. We had a 7pm reservation and were seated promptly. Our server took about 10 mins to come over to the table, We ordered cocktails, 1 Martini flight and one regular size watermelon martini. At 7:59 we finally got our drinks. It is ridiculous to wait 49 mins to get a drink. The Martini flight was cute but only the pomegranate tasted good the other 2 not so good! The watermelon martini said it had fruit puree which it did not and our server told us it was one the sweeter drinks which is what I wanted. It just tasted like bar vodka even thought I ordered with premium vodka it wasn't and was undrinkable and tasted really awful and definitely not sweet. We asked what the seasonal vegetable was and we were told zucchini or butternut squash. We ordered the squash and then the server came back and told is it was a mix of butternut squash and zucchini...a weird combo but we said ok we would try it. She also told us it had hot honey...ok we said. When it finally arrived it was steamed summer squash and zucchini and no hot honey. We also had filet and chicken parm. The food all tasted good but the wait times for everything was way too long. The food was pricey for what we actually got! I will probably not go back. I've prob only written one other bad review in my life I've worked in the industry my whole life and I manage one currently , but yesterday (Sunday) my friend and I came in for lunch there was only one other patron there I got steak flight with Wagu and filet and ch parm steaks I asked for med rare they came out med well!! My friend had meatballs that were hard as a rock !! Bartender said sorry had them remake mine she just brings them back and says here ! My friend got new meatballs but was already grossed out by the hard meatballs didn't even eat them! At the end I asked for a drink on the house for messing three things up one being 99$ she laughed at me and said it was remade so ur fine! It's not about not getting anything for free cus I could care less about that it was more her attitude about the whole thing as if I was out of line like I never send stuff back but 99$ for 4 oz of Wagu comes out almost well done when I asked for med rare I have no choice !!! I've managed restaurants for the past 7 years and if that had happend at my place we woulda at least given them a dessert or drink to make up for the mess up!! I am really disappointed about my experience at the EG location. I ordered the short rib special which was ice cold when it came to the table. The people sitting next to me got the short rib as well and ordered it a while before I did. They were given an extra steaming hot short rib meal because the chef made "extra". The service was also horrible. Our server Roman did not come to check on us once throughout the entire meal. We had to get up and find the nice hostess that sat us to get our check. When the check came after 30 minutes of waiting, we were charged for the wrong meal. Our waters were not filled up once throughout the whole night and our server just did not care. Other than the cold short rib, the food was actually pretty good. However, I unfortunately will not be coming back because of how awful the service was. read more
