If I could give this place 0 stars I would.. I came here today after being out to sea for over a month and needed to get my nails done. I came here before I left and the service was not that bad. Today it was super busy so I didn't expect to get serviced quick which was normal. However, while I was getting a gel mani pedi the girl told me it would be $15 for my nails and my pedicure would be $24. So a total of $39. When I was finished and paid, they brought me the receipt and it said $70. I asked about the prices and the gentleman and lady both said $70. So I asked for the price list and looking at the price list it said $24 for exactly the pedicure I got. I was charged $15 extra on both the mani and the pedi for gel.. I paid an extra $30 for gel. When I asked the girl "where does it say that gel is $15 extra on this price list" she just said it again "yes gel $15 extra" and I asked her again "show me on this list where it says the difference between gel and regular polish is $15" and she didn't know what to say. The gentleman and her insisted on getting me out of their salon because I was making a scene but I was allowed to be upset and allowed to ask for proof of this charge and they couldn't give it to me. So DO NOT come here if you want to get charged an extra $15 for gel nail polish. Completely unprofessional and rude! Plus they don't have that much of a selection of polish so I really don't understand why the extra $15 for less than 30 colors. read more

I have been having Mimi do my nails for awhile now. She tells me that she does my nails as if she were doing her own, taking her time to do them just right. She is still quick though! The products are superb as I have never had any lifting! Highly recommended! read more

Wow absolutely the worst worst nail place I have ever been to!!! They didnt understand the simple glitter I wanted on my nails ...just a line on the tip how do you botch that?? The water was cold and you could tell the tub wasent cleaned before I put my feet in, I mentioned that and she said sorry forgot. The woman left super glue all over my nails and my cuticles looked like I need a fill because she didn't paint to the base. Once finished they said they had no time to fix it next time they will. So now I'm leaving extremely unhappy with my nails and toes. My nails are a plain purple and I have an important event tonight im so disappointed in the service and management. I will never come here again and I will make sure to let people know to never come here either. read more

I will not be coming back to this place. I stopped in on a Monday morning to get my nails done and I couldn't wait. I am a biter and finally have grown my nails out long enough to get them done. When I first got there the place looks old and not very well kept. I told them that I wanted a gel manicure. $25 bucks-not bad. I picked my color and the technician was making small talk and friendly. He took off my regular nail polish and started buffing my nails to get them ready for the gel. When he was done he asked if I wanted my cuticles trimmed-as far as I knew this was part of the manicure-however he wanted to charge me an additional $5 for that. Needless to say after the buffing he painted my nails and filed the tops and that was it. This was the worst "manicure" I've had. To top it off he would only take cash and the ATM machine was almost 4 dollars to use. read more

First time in the salon for a facial was. OMG I will never step foot in this place. Whole the do the waxing they don't tell you what type of wax they will use, won't tell you what they will apply. Went here with my best friend on 06/29/08 to get our nails done for the 4th of July weekend. She got super cute flags on all of her toes and alternating red, white, and blue on her hands. I had red glitter powder done to my hands and glittery red tipped french on my toes. Took about the same amount of time as anywhere else but didn't feel rushed and our nails were extremely well done, after 3 weeks there is still no lifting and my pedicure is still in tact! Would have been 5 stars but they are a bit pricey. Then again, you pay for what you get, and my nails looked awesome so I really can't complain! I got a spa pedicure for $29 (I got a sea salt scrub + callus remover) and it was awful. The only redeeming aspect was the sea salt scrub, but the lady did not 'work' on my calluses for very long at all. My friend got the more basic spa pedicure and did not enjoy her massage at all. After it was said and done, the nail polish was not evenly coated and I felt I could have done a better job myself. The facilities leave something to be desired as well in terms of cleanliness and professionalism. They almost need a Tabatha Salon Take Over. To top it off, although we witnessed the cashier accept checks from others, they did not accept checks from us and required us to take money out of a rinky dink ATM in their store. Ick. read more

customer service is ok. but they charge 25 for gel polish?? which is 10-5$ more than the average place I've ever been to. I can get a gel manicure for that price an where else. they think they can charge that cos they say their gel lasts for up to a month....well, about 2 days after I got my nails done, they gel started cracking, not even a week later almost of my nails have broken?? wtf? I don't even do a lot of hard work with my hands. pedicure was ok. the message wasn't great. also, the only accept cash. Finally, I have found someone that does an amazing job on my gel manicure! I have been going to see Ivy now for awhile and not once has my color chipped! It will last a solid 3-4 weeks (if I let it grow out that long). She is always friendly and can squeeze me in if I don't make an appointment ahead of time. Reasonably priced, beautiful manicure and good conversation. All the staff are always very friendly, but I definitely recommend seeing Ivy, she's wonderful! read more

I went here for convenience but won't go back. For starters, it is cash only but that fact is not posted anywhere. If you try to pay with a card, you will be asked to withdraw cash from an atm at the front of the store. Not worth the atm fee. Secondly, the place is not very well ventilated. The fumes from nail products gave me a headache. The people are very friendly but the person who did my nails seemed like they were in a rush, after asking 3x if I wanted gel and me refusing. I have had issues with this establishment in the past so I had not returned in awhile. I needed my nails done in a short timeframe and this was the only place open late on a Sunday night so I figured I would give it another try. I called ahead and made an appt. When I arrived I waited 15 mins to get in a chair. Once in the chair I waited another 35 mins with my feet "soaking" before someone came to help me. They finished my pedicure and told me they would start my manicure in two minutes. They proceeded to take three walk ins while I waited another 30-40mins to start my manicure. Nails and price are decent but not worth the lack of customer service. I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

I didn't get my nails done here but I did get my toes done. Prices if you need to know for polish are $9 with cutting them and $6 without cutting them. Not a bad price. It was not busy and they did my toes right away. I would totally recommend going here to get your toes done. I just got simple white polish on them. read more

This place is awful. I downloaded the yelp app just to express my dissatisfaction with the service and the result of my nails. I paid 25$ for gel nails, and granted for me it seemed a bit much, but not knowing much about nails I gave it a shot anyway; the entire time I was looking around noticing how unkept the place looked. My absolute favorite place to get my nails done , its in a high traffic shopping center but its never Hard to get an appointment and its quite and peaceful whole your inside Theres usually relaxing music palying. Love this place. I always get gel manicures but I've often been disappointed in other places when the polish starts chipping after only a few days. Gel is supposed to last a while! Tracy is the name of the lady who does my nails at Focus Nails and my gel nails don't chip even when it's been weeks between visits. Weeks! My normal nail salon was at capacity. I was at Starbucks and decided to give this place a shot...(without reading the yelp reviews first. Big mistake). First I called and asked them how much it would be for a powder gel fill. They said 20. (Usually I pay 30). I went in. The people were really friendly. The first ten minutes went by and everything was fine. Then, he put the powder on my nails. It was lighter then usual and he said that's the only powder they had. He then pointed out to the shellac gel and said he would put it on my powdered nails. I said okay that's fine. (Seems like they do it a lot there so i rolled with the punches). After the guy was done, he informed me that it would be an additional 10$s for the service. He was done so of course I had to pay. I then saw the tip of my nails and noticed you can still see it the nail. I asked him to fill it in and he said no, he can't because they don't do that (??). I had a feeling that this was going to end up in a disaster. This all took place Saturday. It is now Wednesday, before thanksgiving :(, and my nails are chipping and the shellac gel is lifting. Now I have to go to my normal nail salon and ask them to fix it and pay another 30$s. Safe to say.. I am never coming back again. read more

For starters they told me to wait 5 minutes about 4 times which ran almost for an hour. When it was my turn I asked for a gel manicure. What did I get? Gel nail polish minus the manicure. When I asked about my cuticle being removed they told me that is an additional $5 fee. I asked for a different nail color since it was a bit too light, what happens next? They simply put the different polish on top instead of removing the old one. You can still see my old dark nail polish on some of my nails and they never bothered to check if they filed my nails straight (which they aren't ). They were nice, I have to give them that. Thats the only reason they get 3 stars. But I won't be going back. read more

I have been having Henry do my nails for a few years now and I continue to get tons of compliments when I go out having people ask me "who does your nails?" He's always so professional and timely when I make my appointments that I will forever be coming back to him. Aside from nails I have also had pedicures and waxing done here however I have to say that the service has not been the same. The pedicures I have found to be marginal and the waxing was not even worth the money.
