Let's start with the food: 5/5. I got the breakfast bowl and it was hands down the best breakfast bowl I've ever had. It had duck bacon (was curious about this bc I'm not a fan of duck), turkey sausage, black beans, quinoa, egg, spinach and more. Somehow that entire medley was perfection when it comes to flavor. Usually bowls can be dry with no sauce, but it was not lacking at all. Staff and service: 5/5 we brought our dog Tom who's a pretty big golden doodle and sometimes can get overly excited when he gets brought outside. But their staff was nice enough to give us a dog bowl with water for him and served his egg on a little to go box plate. It's a little stressful with Tom at times and they made it so much easier. Inside/outside set-up: 5/5. They have a gorgeous inside dining with bar situation. Interior design was super cute for a date and I loved the hanging lamps. Outside had a dog friendly patio and they had cute canopy booths. Overall, we went here on a whim and it's my new favorite spot. read more

We explained that the other half of our party was on their way & the host promptly prepared our table... mostly. There were small plates set for each of us, but only one roll-up/napkin (for 4) & no drink menu. Minor details, but it kinda set the tone for the service experience. Now listen... the spot itself is cute. Once we actually got service, our waiter was cool. It just took forevvverrrrr & I ended up having to request cutlery after food was served. To be fair, it was busy, but there also seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect was. Food-wise: the spinach artichoke dip was definitely the table favorite. My caprese panini was ok, it was sadly lacking pesto which feels a little criminal for a caprese situation. Our friends loved the fancy French toast & I was absolutely there for the prickly pear mimosas The entire brunch honestly felt like it was one dropped plate away from becoming a sitcom episode. One poor new waiter dropped a plate on the floor, then later knocked glasses off the rack above the bar & shattered a couple right next to guests sitting there. I genuinely felt bad for him because you could tell he was having a rough shift. That said, I really appreciated that they acknowledged the long wait & gave us a discount without us having to ask. That kind of accountability goes a long way. Overall, I'd still go back & give them another try because the atmosphere was fun, the vibe was there, and I can see the potential. My friend and I were meeting for a catch up breakfast and we love trying new spots! Found this on google and saw great reviews so decided to give it a shot! The indoor and outdoor space is actually super cute! Very clean and good vibes! When I got in for my reservation, I was greeted right away and I requested an outdoor booth which we got and was super cute! We got sangrias but it was too strong with whatever liquor they put in there but it wasn't noted in the menu. I asked but the server wasn't sure either. Will probably go again and try something else for drinks other than that. The food was good though. We ordered the breakfast and French toast. Both came quickly and was yummy but I was disappointed that I wasn't asked if I wanted the turkey sausage or duck bacon so I forgot to even ask for the duck bacon and I wanted the sandwich specifically to try that. Maybe next time. I would have given this a 5 stars if the server was able to advice on what was in the sangria and also reminded me of the meat choice for the breakfast but still all in all a great experience. read more

This was one of the most terrifying experiences I've ever had, and I feel obligated to warn others. my friend and I came here at 11:30am to have lunch, a drink and work on her business. We were here for 4 hours and shared sangria, feeling perfectly fine. We decided to order 1 more drink an hour or so later and within 25 min something happened. I suddenly began to fade to the point of not being able to coordinate movement, became violently ill and severely impaired in a way that was completely inconsistent with the amount of alcohol consumed. I was projectile vomiting in the bathroom, and became unresponsive, and EMS had to be called. I was unable to move, collapsed on the bathroom floor in a full sweat. I lost memory of parts of the evening and had to be physically carried out. Luckily my friend called my husband who had to carry me out as I could not move. I remained extremely sick and disoriented well into the next day. What makes this even more disturbing is that my friend did not consume the same drink and did not experience anything remotely similar. She was 100 % fine... Before posting this, I attempted to contact management directly and left a message about what happened because I wanted to give them the opportunity to address a very serious safety concern privately No one returned my call. I cannot state with certainty what caused this reaction, but I know my body, and this experience was deeply frightening and traumatic. I hope the restaurant takes situations like this seriously moving forward, and I encourage others to remain extremely cautious and aware of their drinks here. read more

If you're thinking about trying this place, DO IT! I occasionally will order takeout and have never had an issue with the service or food. I recently got the breakfast sandwiches with turkey sausage and sides of fruit for my family and it was one of the most delicious breakfast's I've had off/near Mill Ave. the portions are great, you can tell everything is made to order and fresh. The fruit included various berries, bananas, apples, and oranges. It was apparent the fruit was cut fresh because there was zero wilting or even browning on the bananas! The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Additionally we purchased some hot sauce that the gentleman work recommended and WOW! It's like Tapatio but better!!! We already used half the bottle with our breakfast. Customer service was excellent, place was exceptionally clean and the drink fridge was well stocked with great options. This little spot in downtown Tempe by ASU is close to my work and I've been wanting to check it out for sometime now....so I took the shot on Friday. This is a really cool place! Loved the decor inside. Tia was our server and she was amazing!! Super friendly and had a great smile! We got there around 11:30am and could pick between the brunch or dinner/lunch options. Started off with the Fried Pickles (also had red peppers and jalapeños) and came with a side of ranch. I went with the Duck Confit burger based on Tia's recommendation....it was amazing! I wasn't able to have cocktails because I was doing volunteer work but I cannot wait to take advantage of the happy hour deals. I loved the bruschetta, it is called something different but it was amazing! I love Caesar salads but the dressing had too much of a mayo taste. Not my favorite. The presentation was good. I wish the dressing was more of a dijon, anchovy, garlicky taste. It would have been perfect. The steak skewers were too rare for me. We begrudgingly ordered an Americano and Cappuccino which took 30 minutes to come to the table in, get this, paper cups. I'd asked for oatmilk and some raw sugars and was given half-n-half and no sugars! We cancelled our food orders and left. I'm sure the food would've been good but I did find it funny that they're going for this "French inspired" thing to set them apart from the rest of the basic brunch spots around town but like the rest, they still have their meaningless platitudes written in cursive neon on the wall and all surfaces covered in fake vines. This downtown Tempe cafe is a great spot to grab a meal. It is located a bit out of sight, near the roundabout in 6th, just rest of Mill. Parking can be a bit of an issue, but there are garages nearby. We were lucky and found a meter spot on the street on 7th. The decor is light and bright, with lots Edison lights hanging from the ceiling. There is a white leather seating area, perfect for those coffee dates. There is greenery around the bar. I only saw two people working, but it was quiet and it was fine . Our server 2 friendly and helpful, and have some advice on the food We had the fried chicken sandwich, which came with house-made pickles and chipotle aioli. We also had the Mediterranean chicken sandwich with sun dried tomato aioli. Both were served with fantastic fries. We will definitely return to this cafe. It's a breath of fresh air! read more

I stopped by Foch Café & Bistro with a friend last week and could not have been happier! The restaurant features an inviting industrial open layout with large windows, an experienced and knowledgeable staff, a full bar, and most importantly, incredible food! From breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything on their menu appears to be a unique culinary experience. I ordered their Fried Chicken n' Gravy Crêpe, consisting of crispy fried chicken wrapped in a Crêpe, then topped with turkey sausage gravy, a sunny-side up egg and Jalapeno jam. I also had a side of Duck Bacon. It was all delicious! I love to cook, but when I dine out, I always look for food that I don't make at home. Foch Café offers a wide array of unique culinary offerings, including Duck Confit (Confit Duck, Goat Cheese, Tomato Jam), Steak & Eggs (with red pepper coulis, toast, and side of parmesan herb potatoes), a Foch Grilled Cheese (Caramelized Onion, Four Cheeses, Truffle Aioli, Artisan Sourdough with a Parmesan Crust), and what my friend had - a Caprese Panini (Tomato, Burrata, Balsamic Glaze, Basil Pesto, Arugula) with a seared brussels sprouts salad (she loved them both!) They also feature a variety of entrées including Pastas, seafood, chicken poulet, ribeye steaks and short ribs. Their dessert menu appears extensive as well. Most dishes are reasonably priced in the $14 to $28 range, and they also have a happy hour menu from Wednesday-Saturday 4pm-7pm and all-day Sunday that features both food and $5.00 beer, wine, and well drinks. Love this place for a creative and filling plate. They have their own spin on dishes that make them so unique and delicious. For breakfast I shared the beignets with my boyfriend and it was perfect for a little appetizer to start off with. They came warm and with the right amount of powdered sugar, it reminded me of Disney! I also got The Foch crepe which was absolutely amazing. It comes with nutella and fruit, the perfect sized crepe. This place has a great ambience as well with the bar in the center and surrounding seats inside and outside. Definitely a place I love to come to when I want to chat and hang while eating food. Savory crepes! My absolute favorite French breakfast guilty pleasure. Foch Café had a crepe filled with crispy fried chicken (still tender inside!) and topped with a light gravy sauce with some Thai chili peppers for some spice and warmth. The over easy egg was of course the topping to my breakfast "cake" but in this instance, crepe! My husband ordered steak and eggs. The steak was sliced and sitting on top of round potato pillows that looked like scallops. It was an art and have not seen breakfast steak and eggs prepared this way before. It was such a treat! (I stole some bites, so that's how I know..) I ordered a Bloody Mary because the thought of grilled cheese sounded so good! They have grilled cheese sandwiches alone but I wanted to see it on my Bloody Mary. If you are a fan of grilled cheese and tomato soup, you would probably love this combo too. I've had it at other restaurants as well but not as perfectly executed as this! I ordered a chai latte dirty to go. It was really good and offered some sweetness at the end of the meal! The restaurant is warm and welcoming and the service is great. We had just slept in and wanted someplace to find reprieve since we spent a long day at the Innings Festival and still had Day Two left. Near Mill Street, this hideaway gem awaits you. If you are on ASU campus, Snooze is a popular place, but there is often a line. We stopped at Foch on our way to Mill Street and we were super happy we did. A very open place with many boozy breakfast drinks as well as well as breakfast menu choices. We ate the Power Benne, which had quinoa and poached eggs with black beans, spinach and sweet potatoes. Its healthy, but importantly is was absolutely delicious. Our coffee and cappuccinos were also good. As this is a hidden gem, there were no crowds so we could enjoy a relaxed meal and morning drink. Our waitress was also fantastic. Parking was not a problem being summer and scorching hot temperatures, but I could see during the school season It might be a little challenging. We split the steak with demi glazed with broccoli and sweet potato side that was super delicious. I most definitely will be ordering this again. Steak was cooked perfectly still thinking about the sweet potato side dish, I could've eaten a double order. Foch Café has a good vibe and excellent quality of food. This cute little place had a lovely patio with fabric covered benches for seating which was so comfortable and all of the food items were delicious. They had a brunch menu and they have happy hour all day on Sunday, which we took advantage of and were given great recommendations by Mia. We tried a couple of the appetizers, including the cheeseboard, which had great fresh fruit as well as delicious cheeses and my boyfriend tried the Bree Panini, which was light and delicious but still filling and we ended with the strawberry cheesecake crêpes which was absolutely delicious. The strawberries were fresh as well as the cream and the crêpe was light and fluffy. Mia provided great service and was so cheery and delightful. We know we'll be back. read more

Finally made it for brunch and Foch does not disappoint. My brother was in from Chicago and I told him we had to go! There was 4 in our party and we tried to get different things to try. My boyfriend got the sausage omlette- this is not a diners omlette, it is a work and taste of art. The chipotle aoli, which face value you think is a hollaindaise sauce, is to die for. The plate needless to say was licked clean. My mother got the breakfast sandwich which too had a tomato aoli- the sauces are everything! My brother and I each got the Power Bennie- which Tim, proprietor & chef extraordinaire, made into a vegan creation! No words to how delicious it was! The service is always hands on. Kait has created the drink menu so you really need to try one of her great liquid concoctions. If you are a foodie, Foch is a must in your list of restaurants. I've been to Foch twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast. I'd love to give a more thorough review of the food, but was too tempted both times to get their lox and bagel. And both times was a delicious experience. It's essentially an open faced bagel you build yourself, and the ingredients are fresh and plentiful! There's no hiding subpar ingredients when it's all laid out before you. It's a bit of a mess (the board is nice, but an additional plate would be helpful). As for the ambiance, I've been surprised at how quiet it's been. It's casual but with enough class to take a colleague for a nice meal. Foch is tucked away and is quite the hidden gem. It was the perfect blend of sweet and fruity flavors. I had the breakfast sandwhich and it was tasty! The crepe was definitely better and we ended up with half of it leftover because of the large portions. I would give 5 stars but our food took 30+ minutes to get. If it was busier I would be more understanding, but there were 4 other parties seated when we got our table. If you have time to kill, I'd say check this place out, but not if you're in a rush. I've visited Foch Cafe two times now! Tucked on one of the quieter side streets of downtown Tempe. The inside is bright and airy and boasts a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The first time I just snagged an espresso con panna - the waitress made me fresh whip cream, which I we really above any beyond! Though I didn't need it, the extra attention to detail and wiliness was so kind - Not to mention, it was delicious! The second time around, I sat at the bar for lunch. I had one of their pressed juices and the brie panini with parmesan fries. I enjoyed it all! The fries were the perfect crispiness and thickness and were enjoyed with delicious house ranch. The bread on the panini was out of this world. Though i really enjoyed the sandwich, some arugula or green would have complimented it nicely, but still delish and I'm sure preferential. Two thumbs up on the orange, pineapple, carrot, turmeric and black pepper. The pineapple was a nice addition! On my next visit I plan on trying the duck confit burger - received high recommendations!
