This was probably the best meal we had while visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks…read more We had a day to explore the area and Grok (of all things/places) recommended visiting Victor and Driggs for the day. Kids had chicken tenders and the steak and fries. Both kids enjoyed their meal. The chicken tenders were huge and kid got 3 of them. The steak was about 5oz, which was a decent size for the kid. It came pre-cut, so the kiddo didn't have to handle a huge steak knife to cut it--which was nice. Both came with a generous serving of golden French fries. Fresh cut or frozen, these fries were good! Either a second ramekin of ketchup or a larger one is definitely needed for the amount of fries served. I had the burger. It wasn't fancy--just cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions--but it was a thick patty with fluffy bun with lots of flavor. It also came with a ton of golden fries. My mom had the BLT that didn't skimp on the pork belly. I wish the stores sold thick cut bacon like that. She said it was delicious. Hubby had the lobster roll. The kids brought the purple potato chips were the neatest thing (they were good, too). The lobster roll was perfectly dressed--not too much and not too skimpy--and tasted surprisingly fresh. This place is a little more upscale than some of the other places we've eaten at this week. We were welcomed as we were--shorts and tees. Other guests were dressed casually, not overly fancy. The adjacent museum was a cool place to visit, too. It housed 3 restored Navy planes that were neat to see. Since we're headed home tomorrow, we won't be back, but if we were staying longer, we'd make the ~hour long drive just to eat there again!

We were in California and the wedding in Idaho, so as the parents of the bride, we needed not just someone to give some recommendations, but someone to plan every detail to perfection. Due to the services of professional wedding planner, Missy Pocock, everything was INCREDIBLE. The team assembled by wedding planner Missy included Catered Your Way for the hot platted dinner and the reception dinner buffet (owner is chef Dave Pyrah in Idaho Falls), the wedding cake (best wedding cake we have ever tasted) and reception dessert bar was executed by Lanae Workman, owner of Paisley Cakes out of Blackfoot Idaho, the photography/invitations/stretched canvases were executed by Michelle Heaps Photography, Floral was done by Floral Art, and finally, the white leather relaxation lounge and performance room was created by furniture and infrastructure from Signature Party Rentals. To be fully appreciative of all contributors, I should mention Picture Perfect (very unique and fun picture booth (expensive but worth it), Smarty had a party (special service items), and Red Tie Events (the DJ). However, let me finish where I started. Every element was managed by Missy Pocock. She exceeded our expectations 1000 times over. Thank you so much Missy Stewart Pocock! See attached pictures...

Produce tasted fresh and their green smoothie was pretty good as well Service- 5 stars Food came out quickly and the servers and bartenders were really attentive. They were even able to drop off food in our room when we were doing some sunrise tours at Grand Teton NP (just to make sure we used our breakfast credit) Bottom Line Standard American hotel restaurant that offers up pretty good food and service.

As with their sister hotel's restaurant next door, I really wanted to like this place more than I…read moredid. But I liked Spur even less. This feels like a sports bar pretending to be more than it is. The booths and tables were run down, chipped, and dirty and there were a myriad of TV's and extensive bar space with a lot of people yelling. From the website and menu, I guess I was expecting something nicer. The outdoor area is super lovely. I just don't know why the rest of the place doesn't have the same feel. The food: -Smoked trout deviled eggs - I love smoked fish and roe, but these were so overpoweringly fishy that neither of us even wanted to eat the last one. -Tomahawk pork chop with potatoes, apple cider reduction, pickled brussels sprouts - the pork and reduction was fantastic, if small. Potatoes were great. Brussels sprouts were mostly leaves. You know, like when you take off the outer layers when you cook them because otherwise a bunch just fall off? Those. About 80% leaves with very few actual sprouts to bite into. -Braised buffalo cheeks with polenta, pearl onions, carrots, kale - the buffalo was great. Kale and carrots were fine. Polenta was bland. Onions were undercooked. -Flourless chocolate cake - best thing we had besides the pork chop, but that's not a surprise -Meat and cheese board - in a word, LAZY. The menu describes it as a "selection of cured meats and artisan cheeses, pepperoncini, seasonal jam, grilled baguette, seasonal fruit, marcona almonds." What we got: bread so crispy it was painful to eat; wedges of goat cheese and what I think was gouda with chiles; a little pile of salami slices and two *whole* slices of mortadella folded over, not cut at all, did they expect us to eat whole pieces?; and the not-at-all-seasonal fruit which was about one-sixth of a green apple, thinly sliced, and a single strawberry, sliced, but with the green tops still on (!!). The absolute kicker though: the "seasonal jam" was one of the worst things either of us have ever tasted in our lives. I asked what it was and one server said olive spread and one server said onion jam. It looked and tasted like neither. We have no idea what it was, but it tasted like sweaty gym socks. It had me questioning if it was made with durian. It was THAT BAD. Service was completely disinterested. We weren't even there at a busy time, but we had empty drinks for half the meal, and they couldn't even answer fundamental questions about the menu (including but not limited to the "seasonal jam" debacle above). I love love love the hotel. But I will not eat at this restaurant again. I am glad I changed our weekend breakfast plans to eat here and made our own breakfasts in our room instead.

I will post info about the museum in another review. While I loved the cafe, which had a dining room with a great view of the peaceful elk refuge area and covered outdoor seating with the same wonderful view, our experience was not all that wonderful or peaceful. Unfortunately we were seated next to a very very large table of mostly female young adults who had no regard for the others in the cafe. They were so loud and distracting that it was impossible to enjoy our lunch let alone have a conversation amongst ourselves. The wait staff also had a hard time hearing our order. I believe the management should have either asked them to respect the others in the cafe and lower their conversations or not have seated anyone around them. Here's a thought, set them up outside. While the acoustics in the cafe did make the situation worse, management should really think about their other patrons. It is difficult to say many complimentary things about the food or the service when the overall experience was not good.

Turns out the rooftop hotel bar ("The Cloudveil") is only opened during the peak summer months, and I came late May 2026 and was informed that unfortunately they weren't opened yet. That said - the hotel lobby is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby bathrooms are immaculate. If you eat at the attached restaurant on the ground level (adjacent to the lobby), it's a wonderful experience. Overall, I don't know how the rooms are in this hotel, but all the other features (restaurant, location, theoretical rooftop bar that wasn't open yet) are all excellent. It's very close to Palisades Lake; a huge expanse of blue water surrounded by breathtaking scenery courtesy of the Teton Mountains. If John Denver were alive, he would probably come here often. The restaurant is actually called "Brenthoven's." The menu is immediately eclectic and gives little hints that the chef- who also runs the bar- knows what he's doing. It's a favorite among backcountry pilots- the reason I was there- and is not only a great little restaurant, but is also a happening bar with an unlikely, interesting clientele. There were 6 of us for dinner, and I have to be honest: nothing was even close to mediocre. All the dishes were simply out of this world. Delicate flavors, bold swaths of color, perfect preparation, world-class presentation. It was amazing. Highlights: The pumpkin soup is like nothing I've ever had. Forget what it's called. Just know it's one of the tastiest little cups of anything you'll ever have the privilege to eat. The Cod Parmesan is the star here. It's a delicate, souffle-like concoction, with a beautiful light cod flavor and a perfect texture. The Parmesan adds JUST the right amount of counterbalance to the cod, along with a myriad of other ingredients. This is the stuff of dreams. I'd fly to Wyoming just to have this. The steak (Rib-eye) was like butter and with enough flavor to satisfy an Argentinian escaping from a vegetarian fat farm. Just excellent. The salads were fresh and crisp and the bread was just--baked. I'm told the drinks in the bar are extra strong...for what that's worth. This is a world-class gourmet restaurant hiding among the cowboy-pseudo-western trappings of Wyoming. Don't let the location fool you, the Nordic Inn could be numbered among the truly great restaurants in the West. It was that good.
