We got the sausage one and the veggie one, both really good. We also got the half order of biscuits and gravy, bacon and 2 eggs. I would say the bacon is some of the best I have ever had. My family and I have eaten here a lot over the years. We also grabbed lunch here a lot as a company and they always do great. I ordered a couple burritos this morning for breakfast. They were enormous spot on. It was $30 bucks. 11.99 with one meat, but I got sausage and bacon so I guess that was the extra four dollars each burrito. Got to our shop and took a bite. There wasn't anything to speak of but potatoes,"not cooked" no cheese to be found and a little bit of bacon and sausage strewn with overcooked eggs. My boyfriend and I love to eat here, the food is always great and usually the staff is amazing. But this morning, we were served by a new girl named Anna. Her personality was good, but the speed at which she worked was so slow. I don't think she has ever been a server prior to this. She used an entire page of the order pad to write down "steak omelette, cranberry juice, water, pancakes, and hash browns on the outside" She needs to learn abbreviations. That was the biggest problem. And it took 15 minutes to get my water and juice. I'm sure she is a nice girl, but she does not have the speed to be a server. read more

Found this place using "Add Stop to your trip and searching for nearby restaurants." Horseshoe Inn had a 5 star rating, so we decided to stop in. Everything about this eatery is fantastic. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's gotta cozy, warm, and bright feel on the inside. Their food is fantastic! We had their breaded cheese curds, which I have had at other places and are normally super greasy when fried- NOT THESE! These were excellent and no residual grease! Their spicy vegetable beef soup has some good flavor and is spicy, so if you're not a spicy fan, choose something else, but a taste is still worth it. Their cheeseburger was cooked perfectly from the bun to the meat. Their patties are a decent size and the whole thing fills you up. Their hand cut fries add that homemade touch to the look and taste of your meal. The staff is excellent! They are welcoming, and have fun personality. They are also busy with local orders being phoned in, but that did not take away from their excellent table side service. I thoroughly enjoyed the Horseshoe Inn! read more

We arrived prior to 11 am and we're told they stop serving lunch at 10:50 am. They were running out of food and unable to offer soup since their kettle broke. My patty melt and salad were good. I could hear other patrons complain that their tator tots did not arrive with their meal and they might as well forget it. The restaurant is very clean but could use updating. read more

The perfect place for breakfast on a Sunday morning as you're headed down Highway 89. Tons of food. Good coffee. I had a platter that was biscuits and gravy with sausage over hashbrowns and topped with eggs. That meal kept me full for hours. Someone at Alpine Junction recommended this place, and it was well worth the stop. read more

We stopped for lunch after a morning at the lake and loved this place. Their kitchen was working like crazy to get out the meals. We had to wait a bit, but that was expected because they were busy and the food was fresh home cookin'. The wait staff checked in with us often and all the workers were lovely. Stopped here while driving through on a backpacking trip with my friend. Had two eggs, over easy, with bacon AND sausage, home fries and rye toast. To say this was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had is an understatement. Not only is the food fantastic, the people (family-owned and operated) are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet. One of our favorite restaurants ever! The best food in Etna, and that would be true even if it was not the only restaurant. :) The owners are wonderful friendly folks who really care about their customers. And they make amazing food from scratch. Everything we've ever tried from breakfast to lunch has been wonderful. The omelets are huge, pancakes fluffy with delicious home made fruit sauces, burgers huge and juicy, etc. We regularly take friends and family from out of town here and everyone loves it. On weekend mornings especially, be prepared to wait a bit as they get really busy. But there are usually other friendly people waiting as well to chat with and get to know. read more

I am a local and this place just reopened a couple of months ago. Today was my first chance to try it since new ownership & remodel. Don't let the outside fool ya. The inside is very nice & clean. My wife & I both had omelettes which were very generous in size and very tasty. I recommend the steak one. If this is an example of the rest of the menu I would say it's excellent. I had some homemade huckleberry jam with my toast that I throughly enjoyed. Service was also excellent & very friendly. In addition to great FRESH food the portions are very large. This is refreshing in a day and age when it seems like everything is being squeezed down. The burgers are certainly the back bone of the Horseshoe, but breakfasts are amazing and their specials are very good as well. The pinnacle of the menu is the fresh cut french fries. A true family run business in a small town and exactly what you'd expect from such a place. We ate here twice in two days, and not just because it's the only place in town. The owner is a fantastic and sweet woman who only wants to make her customers happy! The food is good and hearty, the atmosphere is simple and homey, the waitresses and cooks couldn't be more friendly!
