The Rolling Omelet - Bacon breakfast burrito

The Rolling Omelet

A really cool and novel breakfast/lunch spot that creatively uses their space on an old school bus…read more Friendly owners, good food. I thought the breakfast burrito was great except it was a little heavy on the potatoes and could have been balanced better with more eggs and less potato. Also their red salsa that was supposed to be the hot one needs a lot more heat, it almost wasn't there at all, but perhaps it's just par for the area. But the real shining star dish from here is the quesabirrias with complimentary consomé, but I think they call it cheesy beef tacos or something like that. Breakfast is only served until 10am, but they do the breakfast burritos until closing at 2pm. Dont skip this great spot!

Such a fun little bus full of food! The owners are very kind and personable and awesome chefs too…read more The food here is tasty and reasonably priced too, which always makes my experience "that much better". I went with a group of family and friends and got to try a bite or two of various items on the menu. The biscuits and gravy had a nice flavor, it was hard to find the them underneath the heaping of gravy that covers the plate, but having too much food shouldn't be a bad thing. The pancakes were delightful and delicious and huge! I got to try the CrossFit Burrito and boy oh boy that was a winner. It was large and in charge, perfect to cut in half and share--and the homemade salsa topped it off perfectly. I also got a bite of Monte Cristo, not my favorite and it was the most expensive item, but it was alright to try. The bus has a fun atmosphere but it's a little squishy--they do have outdoor seating, but that's no fun when it's pouring rain. Overall, fun and fabulous! I recommend making a pit stop here when you can. TIPS & TRICKS: * Bring your appetite or just share! Again, plenty of food and you'll definitely have leftovers. * You can take your meal to go if you don't have time to have an easy, slow breakfast morning.

Cafe Genevieve - Pig Candy - $16 for 4-5 pieces. More sweet than it is bacony. Good though!

This is the perfect sit down home style breakfast you want before hitting the mountain. Service…read morewas quick and friendly. Really fast! Everything I saw looked great. Meal prices are about what you would expect for Jackson... overpriced for eggs and pastries. People rave about the "pig candy" which is 4 pieces of candied bacon they give you for $16. It was good and crisp, but so sugared that you honestly can't really taste the bacon part of it. I got the egg platter with sausage. The bread and sausage were great. Really nice quality. My daughter got Eggs Benedict which she also liked. They keep your coffee full. There is also a bar to eat at if you are solo and are looking for that option.

Cafe Genevieve does them very well. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy was rich and flavorful with a plentiful amounts of sausage. The eggs done over medium were also good. A bowl of fruit was ordered with fresh blueberries and ripe strawberries. Again, a generous amount. Cafe Genevieve has a staff that hustles. The food is done well and the portion sizes are large. The costs are a bit high with an average spend of $25 to $35 pp not including a morning cocktail for a basic breakfast. If you are hungry, stop by Cafe Genevieve for a solid breakfast.

The cafe had quick and easy food options, the market had all essentials and goods that were fun and convenient to buy. And, there was music and fun vibes happening here, as well. We sat down and were asked if we wanted the shades pulled down but we said we liked the light and enjoyed having them open. Shortly after that a group sat at the table next to us and the waitress closed the blinds completely without saying anything to us. If the light was in someone's eyes I totally support lowering them a bit but it was 4pm and if you're going to ask every table if they want them open or closed and you end up with two next to each other having opposing opinions then just ask if the other table minds ifs lowered partially or let them know what you're doing. Frustrating because we chose to eat here specifically for a view of the mountain. Secondly we asked our waitress for ranch and when she brought out our waters out she brought ketchup and said she'd be right back with the ranch. Our food then came and we asked the guy who brought it to bring some ranch but that never came. I wouldn't care much about it if the burger wasn't completely flavorless (which I'll touch on in a moment). Then we finally were able to get some ranch when the host walked by and he was great and brought it to us right away but having to ask 3 times for some ranch was frustrating. If this was all and the food was great, I'd let all this go BUT the burger (which we added bacon to) was completely flavorless. For a burger to have meat cheese and bacon and still taste like nothing is impressive. When the ranch finally came...it was awful. I've genuinely never met a ranch I didn't like until this one. It tasted like chemicals. Everyone at the table tried it and agreed. I didn't try the wings that others at table had so I can't comment on them myself but there weren't any good reviews from that side of the table either. I think this may just be a spot to grab a drink because it's tough to mess up a burger wings and ranch but this place managed to.
