I would expect many to overlook this spot! But the service family was very attentive. The food, hot and tasty from Chicken and Cashews, to Sesame Chicken, Soup and Thai (Panang Curry).

I've been a couple times, hoping it was just a bad day. Nope. Terrible food. And very slow service that just isn't friendly.

JUST WOW........Would have given 10 stars if the system allowed it!!!…read more We were staying in the area and came here because it had the highest rated score for sushi on Yelp and let me tell you....it did NOT disappoint!!! Coming from California to visit in the area, we didn't have very high hopes for this place considering it's 12 hours to the nearest coast! Seafood in the middle of Idaho come on!! Not to mention the prices were so cheap I couldn't believe it! Heck there is Gas station sushi in Cali that cost more.... When we first walked in we were greeted by the nicest staff! VERY attentive and constantly keeping our glasses full, with the sushi continually coming to the table throughout the visit! There was an older gentleman who, I think was the owner, that visited our table maybe 4 times to ask if everything was ok and do whatever he could to make our visit memorable! Probably the BEST wait staff of any place we ate at in Idaho Falls!!! The building itself was nicely done matching any sushi place in California. Pretty good size and there were a lot of people eating here, but the service was so good they made their jobs look easy! Now onto the food...There really isn't anything I can say to convince you to visit except that EVERYTHING was AMAZING. My group had about 10 different rolls as well as appetizer choices and nigiri and I must say, ALL of it was better than the places back home!!! This place would be dangerous if we lived here, because I believe we would spend a good portion of my check here EVERY week!!! Rolls that stood out...DO NOT eat here without having a Snow Drop roll, holy cow that might be the best roll I've ever had at any sushi bar!!! The Dancing Eel roll was tremendous as well! The sauce that came on that sucker would be worth paying for enough to take a bath in, if you happen to be rich enough to afford it! Even the cheaper rolls that many places use as filler rolls were superbly elevated to a higher level! Also don't miss the deep fried rice topped with spicy tuna appetizer, it was phenomenal!!! We had two of those!!! Anyway in the end, both the staff and the food was AMAZING!! Who would have thought sushi in Idaho?!?! You have raised the bar above on ANY Cali similar restaurant. DO NOT MISS this place!!!! We will definitely be eating here again before we leave!! We will come back here again and again as you should toooooo!! I will post pictures after our next visit later in the week....

We had to enter through the back door and It was awkward that I couldn't just walk in through the front door. Was not the worst place in the world but definitely below a 5 out of 10 all together, would not go back.

Sushi Time has become one of our go-to sushi restaurant in Idaho Falls. The all-you-can-eat (AYCE)…read moreoption is nice if your Love Sushi. A few tips: -They're closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and they also close between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., so plan your visit accordingly. I've made the mistake of showing up during those times. -Lunch AYCE is about $9 less than dinner, but the lunch menu has fewer items. If there's something you really want that's only available on the dinner menu, you can pay the dinner price during lunch to get access to those additional items. -If you're deciding between AYCE and ordering à la carte, I'd say the break-even point is around two to three specialty rolls. If you plan on trying appetizers, nigiri, hand rolls, or several different rolls, AYCE is definitely the better value. -If you go with AYCE, don't skip the Crab Rangoons or the Potstickers--they're both excellent. -If you've never had nigiri, give it a try. The eel nigiri is a great place to start because it's cooked and has a slightly sweet flavor, making it less intimidating if you're new to sushi. -For specialty rolls, my favorite is the Don't Ask. It's a cooked roll with a little kick from the sriracha, but if you don't like spicy food, they'll make it without the sriracha. If you're looking for something lighter and more refreshing, try the Shannon roll. My daughter's favorite is the Crunch roll. -Be sure to try a hand roll at least once. My family calls them "sushi ice cream cones." They're about half the size of a regular roll and are meant to be eaten with your hands, so they're perfect if you're still learning to use chopsticks. One thing to know is that they do enforce the AYCE rules. Don't make it awkward. Discounts/Coupons: None that I am aware of at this time.

We stopped in with a local friend who knew the folks owning and working here and ordered tons of items for us to try. We didn't try a sushi roll unfortunately, but it's just bc we had ordered so much already! We tried the beet salad, the ribs (delicious but a bit spicy), the tempura veggies which were SO good and fresh and crispy and only lightly breaded, the broccolini, edamame and the dumplings. So we really had almost everything we could except sushi. All was great and my husband, who is a big fan of pork dumplings, loved these a lot. He raved about them all the rest of the night. For dessert - I was torn between a few things but went with the standard homemade chocolate cheesecake and it was delicious. The crust was a sort of coconut deliciousness that I especially loved. Service was great and the inside is small, but very classy. Highly recommend if you are a sushi fan. Believe the owner is from Hawaii so there is a Hawaiian influence to the food.
