Original receipt of my 1/2" drill bit
Jennifer G.

Usually really like this store because it is so close to the Air Force base. But I went in for a 1/2" drill bit today for a project I needed one that would fit in a hand drill. I asked the help desk for the size and model I needed. The man was very helpful until I realized he had sold me THE MOST EXPENSIVE 1/2" drill bit I've ever seen in my life. $30 for a drill bit by Cobalt. I paid, got back in my car and looked up on ace hardware that this location HAD IN STOCK the same size drill bit and model for $9 by Milwaukee. I have never felt more scammed in my life that this old man would take advantage of me like that.

Always so friendly. They are very busy and always seem to have enough people to cover. I called ahead for a pro-max no ladder stick so we could put lights up on our home. They had one left and kindly held it for me. When I got there they were super friendly and worked well together while being super busy. I love how they have so much to offer from toys, hardware, seasonal items to garden and Green Eggs, Even items for pets. Cromer service is always great. Nicely ran store.

Quick outside shot.

This is my go to place for screws. Yes, screws. Have you ever needed one screw and didn't want to buy a "small" pack of 100 from another store? Or the multi pack with four of what you need and everything you don't? Well, me too. I drove to closer competitor and all I did was waste time and lucky me no one walked by to help. Then a light bulb went off ... or fell in the other isle and I remembered Ace. Here I am and I found exactly what I needed and didn't have to buy a pack. It has the small time feel yet somehow stocked with the essentials. Customer service is always on par plenty of associates asking if you need help. The cashier Gaby was super friendly. No line. She even saw my imaginary alter ego. Next time you need a .... well ... hardware they won't disappoint.

I seriously don't know how people have a bad experience at this store. EVERY time I've gone in or even called in, they've been amazing.

Ask the Community - Floyd's Ace Hardware

It's closed shut down?

Ace has moved from Dysart and Camelback one mile west, to the northwest corner of Camelback and Litchfield Road in the Fry's shopping center. It's a great store!

George determined the handle on the pot was plastic so he went and got a tool to rethread the hole in the pot handle to fit a bolt he had.

The Good Closer to home than the box stores, and the stores…read morethemselves are easier to shop than the stadium-size retailers. Pretty good selection of the stuff I typically buy here-- nuts, bolts, screws, etc., stuff for DIY projects. This store always has someone nearby, ready and willing to help. One guy not only found exactly the fasteners I needed but bagged and labeled them for cost. That was very convenient. If you join their rewards program, twice a month you'll get a coupon for $5 off purchase of $25 (exclusions apply, such as items already on sale) Now and then they have good sales on stuff I might care to buy. The Bad The prices are typically higher than other retailers. So, even if you use the Rewards coupon, you're probably only breaking even as compared to shopping Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's. Sigh. Customet service can be hit and miss. The folks out on the floor are great in being quick to offer help, but they may lack knowledge. The person running the cash register may not interrupt their visiting with another employee to give you more than a glance. Bottom line: it's worth it to pay Ace extra for convenience on small stuff, and I'm not reluctant to shop there due to any serious complaints about customer service. But if I need a bunch of hardware or I need moderately expensive tools that aren't on sale here, I'm probably shopping elsewhere.

Our experience was unfortunately not a positive one…read more We had a scheduled free estimate appointment arranged in advance. Due to an unexpected medical leave situation involving our office staff, we were unable to make the appointment as originally planned. We fully understand the inconvenience that scheduling changes can cause and would have gladly worked toward rescheduling the appointment professionally. Instead, the communication that followed was unnecessarily confrontational and unprofessional. Rather than attempting to resolve the situation respectfully, the interaction quickly became hostile despite the circumstances being related to an unforeseen medical issue. As a contractor, we regularly provide free estimates that require scheduling, travel time, project review, and planning before any agreement or compensation takes place. Emergencies and unexpected situations can happen in any business, and professional communication and understanding should exist on both sides. There were also concerns regarding expectations surrounding project costs and contractor responsibilities that suggested a difficult working relationship moving forward. For other contractors and service professionals, I would strongly recommend clearly establishing expectations, communication procedures, and boundaries early before investing substantial time into the project process. We wish them the best moving forward.

"Warrenty Scam" Bought a new fridge back in June & was sold on a GE appliance ( ice maker…read morespecifically, I wanted it to last) . We'll just a few months later after purchasing the "Home Depot warranty" ( it's not cheap) The ice Maker goes out, so I try & call for service... The 3rd party "AllState" Co. is managing the service so I'm on the "txt only" Line to some non-spelling person ( a bot can't be this bad at spelling via txt) ... 2.5 hours later I'm still going back and forth ( I know I need a tech to come out but they want me to defrost my entire fridge, again to make the fridge work properly). So after repeatedly dropping me from the call center ( after 3 mins of non txting you will get dropped & must start all over again from scratch with redundant questions) Finally "I get the game" So now I copy & paste the same information on me repeatedly every 2 mins so I'm not dropped from the call. The game is to make you wait 3 mins of not texting so your dropped and get frustrated and repair the fridge at my own cost. ( while they "allegedly" look into the problem. I finally got them to schedule me for an in-house repair but it was exhausting!!!! Shame on you Home Depot! Shame on you all for doing this to loyal customers! I'm pissed off! FIX THIS SHADY MESS!

The only reason I go to big box stores to check for plants is that, once in a blue moon, there is a really rare plant for a quarter of the price. Competitive pricing to big box and you get some one on one service with the ability to pick some brains. To whom this concerns,…read more Do "NOT" waste your time here. I have experienced two nasty incidents dealing with two very unprofessional employees working from this Goodyear, AZ. Dunn Edwards paint store. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT! bother wasting your time or money here. I cannot stress enough how horribly unprofessional the customer service is at this location. On Wed, Nov. 13th 2023 I called to get information from the color advisor but was told she is too busy and can't receive calls. So I explained I was looking to get a color scheme rendering computer generated for our home. This female employee told me we don't do that. I kindly told her yes you do because I've had it done here before. I explained we give the color advisor a picture of our house and they place a color scheme on it so we can see how it looks before we purchase the paint. She told me; No! we don't have a way to do that. I tried to explain to her yes your color advisor has a method for this as I've had it done here before. But all this person wanted to do was repeatedly argue with me over the phone. I did nothing to deserve her rudeness as she continued to want to argue with me. I asked her if she could please leave a message and she acted like it was a big problem. I can't believe she doesn't even understand the basics of her own job & how they operate. She was rude, nasty and unprofessional to say the least. Look, if they hate their job that much why not just find a new one. ‍ Is it that difficult? At first I was willing to blow it off until I encountered another employee with a similar attitude "Aubree Smith, also unprofessional, rude, nasty customer service employee for Dunn Edwards. I set a 30 minute color advisory appointment on Thursday Nov. 14th 2023 but called ahead to see if I could save us both some time by just sending in the house photo which we both agreed was quick & simple. Soon after I received email results and was asked about further assistance for color scheme in case I needed it. I accepted the offer and sent additional color schemes. Short time later another email stated there would be a $25 charge but she could only offer one FREE. "I was like WHAT!!" Why offer customers additional selections if you intend to charge them extra fees at $25 each photo. Keep in mind these are watermarked photos NOT prints. Who would want that? Did she suppose I want to hang them on my wall. How STUPID!! First off, Aubree never stated anything about charges. It wasn't until she realized she would have to work 5 extra minutes to help satisfy a customer's decision that it suddenly became a issue for her. Hey "Dumb Edwards," are you guys purposely trying to chase customers AWAY? It's a big painting job on a two story home why wouldn't I be concerned about making the right choice. I am convinced Aubree either doesn't like her job or she wants extra FREE TIME to avoid working. How hard can it be to add color schemes on a computer. Aubree clearly is NOT about working or helping customers make decisions. She only wants to pretend until she's taken up on the offer to actually do something. I scheduled a 30 minute consultation with her too but told her I could save us time by emailing the house photo. She agreed which obviously, saved her the 30 minute consultation time. However I received a nasty email from her complaining that additional color schemes are $25 each. Aubree Smith, from the looks of it, it's not the first time you were rude & unprofessional to Dunn Edwards customers. It's pathetic and sad this employer even allows you this kind of behavior. Something seriously must be wrong with your attitude. I recommend you find a new job. Also, I strongly advise customers to steer clear from this Dunn Edwards location due to the lack of courtesy & professional help.
