    Chicken Entree and Yummy Sides

As you walk into the restaurant, you are transported into a serene, greenhouse setting. You automatically feel relaxed. You belong here, you're meant to be here. The service was quick and easy. We ordered the Chicken Entree with Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts and Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend this place in Austin!

Met up with some girlfriends and got the Glow Bowl at Flower Child and I loved it! The sweet potato noodles were perfectly cooked, and the combo of shiitake mushrooms, snap peas, cilantro, and mint made it super fresh and flavorful. The sunflower sauce tied everything together and was honestly one of the best parts of the dish. Parking kind of sucks, but that's expected since it's downtown. Other than that, it's such a great spot with a chill vibe and tons of options for different diets like vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free. Definitely a go to if you're looking for something healthy but still really satisfying!

Cute spot! We stumbled on this place while we were on a wait for an hour at another place and decided to come here instead. Perfect timing. We just missed the rush. So many GF options. We got the turkey Cobb salad and the sweet potato fries. As well as the olive oil lemon cake to go. Everything was so so good. Staff was really friendly and attentive. We'll be coming back soon.

Years ago, long before I moved here and I was only visiting Austin for the first time, Flower Child stole my heart. After a long day of walking around downtown in the hot sun, it was a cool, clean oasis with a refreshingly healthy menu, placing vegetables front and center. Though I don't visit this location as much now that I live here and have to worry about parking, or the lack thereof, I'm still every bit as obsessed with the Mother Earth Bowl, Glow Bowl, Chopped Vegetable Salad, and Cauliflower Risotto. It's made with dietary restrictions in mind, offering clearly labeled vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free, options alongside omnivorous items. You can even get the full nutritional low-down on their website if you're concerned about macros. Between the flavors, quality of ingredients, and even pricing, I've never walked out of here feeling bad about my choices.

Healthy lunch option in downtown Austin. Busy during the lunch rush. Fast service though.

I was staying at the Westin on business, and walked here for lunch. Delicious, healthy food, fast and friendly service and a nice outdoor seating area.

I definitely wish that I would have gotten a bigger portion, especially for the price, but overall it was a good experience and the food was yummy.

Flower Child is a treat when visiting a state with them as a Washingtonian without one. I absolutely love the fresh bowls, teas and amazing ambiance of the Flower Child chain. I've tried many different bowls and done for dine in and takeaway and either way, the quality of the food is excellent and the service is amazing. 10/10 recommend blending 1/2 green tea and 1/2 lemonade - delicious!

The ambiance of this particular location is very nice and cozy. Parking wasn't too much of a hassle however we came here during the middle of a work week for dinner after the afternoon rush. My boyfriend got the salmon with smashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The pasta is always so rich and we would not have ever been able to guess it was gluten free. The salmon was a bit on the drier and smaller side. Overall, the prices at this establishment are on the higher side so we would've loved to see a bigger portion size. I got the chicken which was flavorful when you added their hot sauces. I also got the sweet potato fries. It came on a separate plate so there were a lot and overall it was pretty tasty. It had good seasoning and paired nicely with the side of dill ranch they give you!

The Flower Child is conveniently located downtown in the center of many places to visit. The place is very spacious and a ton of great food options. You place your order and they bring it to you. The food was tasty and fresh. The person taking the order was very friendly. She let me sample the kombucha as well. I enjoyed the kombucha on tap, a salad with shrimp, and the hummus. This is a great place if you want to easily grab a meal and want something healthy. The place has a great calm ambiance as well. Would def recommend!

Flower child makes it easy to give them a 5 out of 5. They opened about 1 year after I had moved to Austin from upstate NY. For those like me, this will come as a pleasant surprise - their menu really does not change! The best bowl, in my opinion, is the Mother Earth and adding the Salmon. How the restaurant is setup, it reminds you of a Parisian cafe with a large exterior seating area and a wide open area inside with 2" thick marble tabletops! They offer to-go orders during the weeknights, this is a great go-to as they offer family meals through their smart phone app. You will be greeted and help with really polite staff who will be asking if need anything along your stay with them! Really recommend! You'll be in for a treat - I'm merely visiting from New York and it is my must see restaurant when I come.

    Mag T.

The Kung pow cauliflower is delicious and a must order. The mother earth bowl was great I added tofu and it was seasoned perfectly. Only negative was the avocado in the bowl was on the brown side.

Downtown experience was nice as I got to share and enjoy the Flower Child (FC) experience besides my home base FC in the Domain. Food is on point and staff is ultra friendly and helpful. Family are now fans too ;D

Sixth Street's neon and noise are basically next door, the Capitol sits up the hill, and the whole area is packed with people, bars, and that classic Austin mix of polished downtown hustle and late-night chaos. Velvet Taco is pure counter-service: you walk right up, order at the register, and then grab a seat. There's plenty of seating, so even with a couple of kids in tow it was no problem finding a spot. The place leans hard into what can only be called white-people tacos--soft, sad flour tortillas that taste like they came straight out of a grocery-store package, loaded with every wild creation the kitchen can invent. Global mashups, brunch hybrids, burger impostors, the works. No one is pretending these are the real deal. I went for the chicken-and-waffles taco, which was actually built on a thin, real waffle instead of a tortilla. Surprisingly good--crispy, a little sweet, chicken holding its own. The burger taco tasted exactly like a cheeseburger that had wandered into a tortilla and decided to stay. We also tried the shrimp taco (fine), one daughter got the kids' chicken taco (perfectly kid-level), and the other ordered the chicken tikka (spicy, saucy, and very much in the "why is this on a tortilla?" category). Everything was okay. Comparable to Torchy's in that same creative-American-taco lane. If you're looking for a true Mexican taco, stay far away. But if you just want to play around with some decent flavors on a cheap flour store-bought tortilla while sitting in the middle of downtown Austin, this is your spot. Not my favorite. Glad I tried it. Won't be back.
