    Green Goddess Shrimp
    Fellman B.

I ordered the Green Goddess Shrimp bowl after a weights workout and a run, and it was the perfect meal for refueling! All the macronutrients were covered...in a convenient, tasty bowl! The chilled herb shrimp and goat cheese formed the perfect protein to replenish my muscles. The rice and quinoa supplied the needed carbs to restore my energy. The marinated kale, roasted butternut squash, watermelon radish, and marinated red pepper provided delicious fiber. And to top it off, the Green Goddess dressing, with Greek yogurt as the base, was a healthier and lighter take on the traditional fare. The added capers provided texture and tang! Ordered on the Modern Market app, the bowl was ready when I arrived, so I didn't have to wait to savor the dish and rebuild my muscles. And because it was Monday, the $4 discount was easier on my wallet. I chose to eat at the restaurant, which is always clean and bright, making the whole experience even better.

    Lemongrass Tuna

We placed an order from Modern Market Eatery through Uber Eats, and while the food quality was exceptional, there was a discrepancy between the portion of tuna shown in the Uber Eats image and what was actually served. This mismatch cost them a star, but the flavors more than made up for it. I ordered the Lemongrass Tuna Bowl, and it tasted awesome. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and they complemented each other perfectly, making the bowl rich and satisfying. As this was a takeaway order, I didn't get to experience the ambiance or service in person, but based on the food alone, I'd definitely recommend giving them a try. A must for fresh, flavorful meals!

First time at modern market and I can for sure say I will be back! The menu is well made and has plenty of substitutions available if you would like to make your order uniquely yours. I got the snack plate as I wanted something to satiate me till the end of my shift. For a snack plate it was made incredibly and definitely worth a lot more than its price! The vibe is very cozy chic and I can see myself getting some work done as I get a quick bite in. The servers are amazing and attentive. They also have a great selection of craft sodas or fresh in house made lemonades which were delish! The cucumber mint is a must if you visit.

    Build Your Own Protein Bowl
    Roshini T.

This was my first time at Modern Market and I wasn't impressed. Went for a late lunch on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. I built my own protein bowl and got salmon, veggies, and mashed potatoes. The salmon was very overcooked and cold, the veggies were cold as well, and the rice & quinoa were very undercooked. Flavors were ok, but I was expecting more from this restaurant, especially because of things I've seen and heard. Don't know that I'd try something from here again for a while. There was ample seating both inside and outside.

This place is mostly a bit healthier than your usual spot. It's mostly clean. Nice service. Airy spot on a busy street.

Better than the average and does a pretty good job! Need tomato soup. Had less salt than your usual but good. The waffle was excellent. The prices are competitive or really good. The spot is airy if you sit outside. Service is good.

Came here after the austin marathon & it was surprisingly not busy! Food looked and tasted fresh and healthy, portion sizes were smaller than i expected! I had the garlic mushroom pizza and it was delicious. If you're a mushroom lover, definitely get this!!

Modern Market Eatery Review Modern Market Eatery delivers fresh, flavorful food at a fair price. The ahi tuna and shrimp were perfectly cooked and tasted incredibly fresh, and the produce was crisp and vibrant. Portion sizes were generous, leaving me full and satisfied without feeling overstuffed. It's a great spot for a healthy, tasty meal that doesn't break the bank.

Kudos to Modern Market for having a $7.99 Tuesday bowl deal. My friend and I are in the office on Tuesdays and go here for lunch just about every week-- it's a steal you can't miss. The first time I came here they forgot our chicken and gave us to-go orders despite us saying we were sitting in, so that was a bummer. I was prepared to give four stars, but the second time redeemed it. We got the Buddha Bowl with substituted chicken and it was absolutely delicious-- like genuinely some of the best food I've had in a long time. And for being $7.99 the portions were super generous. Ambiance is nice, food is good, service is good, and everything's made pretty fast. That, alongside the $7.99 Tuesday deal, definitely make Modern Market a 5 star for me.

I've only got food delivered by Uber Eats, so I never had their in-store experience. My office sometimes orders lunch from here. Everything I ordered here is smaller (portion wise) than similar salad place like Cava or Sweetgreens. It's also quite a bit more expensive since every single add-on costs something. I wish they can be more generous especially on the veggies side, my bowl has never been filled full and always looks rather sparse. Taste wise, everything I've had tastes pretty good and healthy. This isn't my go-to lunch place tho, I'd rather go to Cava or Sweetgreens for better value.

Unfortunately, the kitchen just wasn't on their game this day. We went for brunch and it is a lovely restaurant with some amazing looking pastries. My ratings of the food we got are below. Overall, everything was just okay and not something I would order again. Our order: Salami and cheese - 1/10, not even edible with how much olive oil they dumped on it. Hard cheese and meat. None of us touched it. Frites - 9/10, hard to go wrong here. Nice and crispy French cruller - 7/10, I think this is just personal presence here I wished it was warmed up. Flavor was good but it was a little dry. Burger - 5/10, the flavor is there and definitely has potential but it was so bloody and rare which is not what we asked for. My friend has a gluten allergy and she asked for the burger lettuce wrapped and it just came on top of a huge chunk of iceberg so wouldn't recommend that if you want it lettuce wrapped. Chicken sandwich - 8/10, this was good with a nice crispy chicken. It could have used something sweet to balance the spice though it was a little one dimensional.

Ample amount of food and def had take away box. Everything was tasty and the buttermilk pancake was amazing with just syrup. Melissa was kind enough to provide little cups to take syrup home along with the tael away container. They had a daily special and a board above the kitchen with other items. We were both starving and this place is open 24/7. I drove by it for 20 years on the way to Avenue Barber Shop. I wanted shredded beef tacos but couldn't get them without cilantro so I chose shredded beef enchiladas (with an $8!) side of chips and salsa. My wife ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. She requested soft eggs, as she always does because too many places overcook them. The chips and salsa arrived. I was immediately disappointed. The menu said "we make our own chips." They were thick and yellow and appeared to be run-of-the-mill, out-of-a-bag chips. I prefer the thin white ones. I took one bite of salsa, and that was one bite too many. Cumin. I pushed it all aside. Cumin doesn't belong in salsa. (Sorry. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley.) My enchiladas came with black beans, and there was cumin in them. Cumin is overused and abused in most restaurants. I couldn't eat them. The rice was good but the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was not. I scraped most of the sauce off and ate one enchilada, mainly because I just needed something in my stomach. We were still 45 miles from home. I pushed my plate away. I also ordered coffee. One sip of that was all I could stand. Too weak for me. It gets worse, much worse. My wife's eggs were barely cooked. She asked the waiter for some cooked eggs. He took her plate and returned about four minutes later. The eggs were still not cooked. She tried another bite but couldn't eat them. Her bacon was tough as a boot and not chewable. The home fries were average, but by the time her plate arrived at our table for the second time, they were cold. I pulled my card out waiting for our excellent server to return. He asked how everything was (he had to notice two plates still covered with food) and we politely told him. I ate one enchilada and some rice. My wife had two bites of egg and two bites of potato. He apologized and handed me the check. $65. Nothing comped and nothing adjusted. A manager should've been summoned. How does a place like this have any customers? It was our first and last visit.

It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there.
