Flo's is a quaint, unique eatery located near Cory Beach in Patchogue. My wife and I come here frequently on our way to the beach. What sets flo's apart from other establishments in the area is its throwback atmosphere. you feel like you're at a 50s luncheonette. Flo's offers outdoor seating only. They have many picnic tables surrounding the restaurant. You order at a window and pick up your food shortly after at an adjacent window. Food wise they have all the basics you would expect to find at a summertime eatery. I would say they are pretty pricey for what they offer. In addition to the food, they have a nice selection of ice cream, shakes as well as tropical cocktails. We consider this a nice place to stop off for a quick bite before heading to the beach. In my opinion, I would not say that this is a destination restaurant by any means. It is, however, a uniquely quaint place with a great vibe Definitely the feel of a vacation right here at home. We typically just get burgers and dogs, etc. As noted above, I would definitely recommend this for a nice little spot to grab a quick bite and then head over to the beach!

The wedge salad sandwich No really it was a BLT w avocado & bluecheese on a cibiatta roll im in love. The flo dog & chili dog were hits as well. Great spot with parking across the street and the water a short walk away

Grilled ahi tuna with avocado, pickled cucumber & spicy mayo on toasted ciabatta bread, comes with fries. I ordered mine to be cooked medium. One of my favorite sandwiches for years now, so refreshing and filling.

We visit the ocean after lunch

Hi Friends, I was seeking a dog friendly spot after visiting my niece and grand niece. Da google recommended Flo's. Cute little roadside shack, though it does have an adult beverages menu. Order at a window and wait for your name to be called. There are outdoor tables on a beach stone patio, so do be careful if unsure of foot or if it's wet. My BLT with avocado was tasty, though for the price, it should've had fries (plus, why the heck did they give me packets of ketchup for a BLT, especially since there was mayo on the ciabatta bread) The young lady manning the counter was nice, very friendly and attentive As I added a $10 shake to my order, I did find myself rehashing the Pulp Fiction "$5 milkshake" scene. "$5?" "yes" "and it's just milk and ice cream?" Yea, a decent milkshake, but not a $10 shake With everything served in paper and clamshells, there is nothing fancy, the view is immediately of the road or the parking lot. But you can almost throw one of those patio beach stones into the ocean, you're that close to the sea. Makes me think you're paying for privilege of their near waterfront location See y'all at the crossroads

My favorite: the chicken club wrap with avocado!

I've been coming to Flo's every spring and summer for nearly 20 years. I adore its hometown, beachy vibes and its easy accessibility from Corey Beach. I have many happy memories eating here with friends and family on sunny afternoons. The chicken club wrap (with avocado) and the Great South Bay wrap with fries on the side always hit the spot. When Flo's opens for the season for the first time each year, it's always so exciting. With it comes the sunshine and long summer days. The only nitpick I have is how expensive it's gotten. For two people, two wraps, two drinks, and a side of fries easily costs $50. Because of this, my boyfriend and I try to keep Flo's as a special treat these days, but it's always so good that we (or mostly I) keep coming back for more!

    Cheeseburger

Their burgers come on a piece of bread and they charge $15 just for the burger. They call it the world famous burger. Absolutely a joke. Don't bother with this place. keep your slice of bread.

Had a delicious lunch at Flo's the other day. I had their new grilled pear and Brie sandwich and it was so freaking good! The only thing I dont love is that fries are extra and don't come with any of the handhelds. It was delicious as always and the staff was great! I love going to Flo's and sitting at the marina with my lunch or ice cream afterwards.

    Hot Lobster Roll
    Gail B.

I have been searching for a place that sells tasty lobster rolls--both cold and hot. I did not like the cold one that I recently had at The Lobster Roll aka Lunch, which has won many Bethpage's Long Island Best Lobster Roll contests. So I came to Flo's, who last won this contest in 2014. I bought a hot lobster roll one day and a cold one the next. The hot lobster roll was delicious. The lobster meat was drizzled with butter and placed between a hot and generously buttered, toasted split-top bun. The cold lobster roll, however, was mediocre. It lacked flavor. Both lobster rolls usually come with fries, but instead I got a side salad with some lime-cilantro dressing (the first day) and some balsamic dressing (the next day). The lime-cilantro dressing was good, but the balsamic was mediocre. Effective this year, there is no longer an outside bar. Alcoholic beverages can only be purchased at the window where food orders are taken. No waiters are available, but there are plenty of tables outside where patrons can sit and eat. Parking is free in the large lot across the street for Brookhaven residents with parking permits. Out of town residents must pay a fee at the meter. There is also a small lot on the premises and some free street parking. The nomination period for the 2022 Bethpage's Best of Long Island contest for best lobster roll is now open. Maybe if Flo's makes their cold lobster roll as well as they do their hot one, they would win the contest again!

Connor Bomber Wrap Cajun chicken with Flo's guacamole, French fries, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, signature southwest sauce, and honey m
    Steph W.

We drove by on a nice day on the weekend and the parking lot across the restaurant was completely packed for people frequenting Corey Beach. We happen to stop by Flo's on a rainy day and was able to get a spot in their private lot with no problem. Their service is fast and apparently they have a discount if you pay by cash. I ordered the Connor Bomber wrap (cajun chicken, summer salsa, french fries, cheddar cheese, chipotle sauce, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard). It tasted great! It was a hefty cost of $20 (inc tip) using my credit card which is pretty pricey! The price on their website, doordash, and in person menus don't seem to match. I think this place is convenient to grab food if you were spending a day at the beach. Probably would go elsewhere for something better tasting.

Come hungry leave happy! Lovely indoor and outdoor dockside…read morelocation offering a variety of tasty seafood small to large plates. All drinks standard or fancy come out cold and tasty to accompany that barside snack or full lunch/dinner meal. Servers don fun T-shirts with catchy sayings buzzing around smiling serving it up. Everytime I have dined here they have been very attentive, sometimes overly, but in good spirits just making sure you have everything you wanted and needed, on top of keeping things neat/clean. This outing was for my Mr's Birthday, so appetizer, entrées and dessert. We started with the Crab Spinach and Artichoke dip with chips as we waited for entrée selections. It was served up creamy in a bread bowl stuffed with crab, spinach and artichoke, super tasty and great start. The Mr ordered up the Crab Stuffed Lobster Tail with a bechamel sauce. Noted the flavors were good, but next time would order bechamel sauce on side so there was more control of it not overwhelming the fresh protein with every initial bite. Mentioned the Roasted Potatoes and Corn that accompanied it were nicely cooked and not overly seasoned. Personally opted to double down on the crab side of things and snagged myself one of their Crab cake sandwiches on a pretzel roll. With each bite you knew the crab cake was freshly made not a frozen premade puck. It easily smashed down quickly with each bite, with good fresh crab flavor, not just breadcrumbs, like you might experience elsewhere ;) Also noted their pretzel bun was soft, airy with good classic pretzel flavor without the hard/tough exterior crunch. Noting that in the past I have also ordered up their fresh Tuna Steak entrée which is also a delicious entrée option. Finished off the meal with a menu fan favorite Chocolate Lava Cake, as my Mr is always hoping for it to truly lava out. Will say Harbor Crab definitely has come the closest in sense of it sorta flowing out when cut into. I assured the birthday boy that he should know the texture, taste were indeed on point, even if it didn't fully lava out ;) All in all another great dining experience at this location as the quality of fresh seafood offerings, service, live music ambiance and atmosphere are on point. Totally understand why this has been a fan favorite for my Mr and others for years. Would highly recommend a visit to any seafood lover.

The service was impeccable--our waiter was friendly, and really made us feel taken care of. But, as much as I wanted to keep coming back, the food just didn't live up to the expectations that the beautiful setting and upscale prices would suggest. I had high hopes, but some of the skepticism after reading other reviews which was unfortunately spot on: the food here is incredibly underwhelming for the price. Appetizers: Clams Casino: For $18, I was expecting a little more than six tiny clams, each one was rubbery, overcooked, and lacked any of the depth of flavor. Cajun Seared Tuna: I love a good tuna, and this one came close to being a standout. The sear was fine, and the temperature was just shy of medium, but the wasabi and teriyaki drizzle felt lazy. I've had better. Entrees: Mahi Mahi: Broiled, not seared, it wasn't terrible. The fish was a little on the dry side, but the overall flavor was decent, especially with the grilled pineapple topping. Still, for what it cost, I expected a more flavorful and tender piece of fish. Halibut (Dinner Special): This was really disappointing. Halibut is such a beautiful fish, delicate and buttery, but what I was served was far from it. The fish was overcooked, and the accompanying risotto was undercooked--nothing like the creamy, perfectly al dente risotto you'd expect at a restaurant of this caliber. It was bland, dry, and sorely lacking in seasoning. I had to add so much salt and pepper. Two mixed drinks, two beers, the two entrees, and two Apps added up to well over $200 (with tip). You're paying for the ambiance here, which is undeniably great, but the food just doesn't justify the cost. Despite the beautiful setting and excellent service, I'm not sure I'd be returning. Unless bad night for the cooks? Drift 82 has potential, but for now, it's more of a "look but don't touch" kind of place for me.

Cool spot with a Manhattan vibe "behind" Main Street in Patchogue…read more The reason this is key is because, since they face out to the firehouse and residential areas, parking USUALLY isn't a problem. There's a small lot that's free and you can park on Jennings. (sorry residents). We went on NYE so had to park several blocks away. No biggie. The inside is dark and cool with a city-vibe. Ample bar space and 1-4 tops an some banquet seating that lets you look out over the street. We were greeted right away by what turned out to be our server and seated promptly by the windows (we had a reservation). Also greeted by a gentleman that we think might have been her dad. The young lady hustled all night and managed the crowd well. We never waited too long for her to check in on us and she was very helpful with selecting wine and clarifying menu items. That being said, THIS IS A SMALL PLATES JOINT. People expecting full-sized portions should adjust their expectations accordingly. We did, however, order the Trastavere seafood platter (medium) which came as a tower and seemed impressive. Two types of oysters (large and medium) were presented; briny and fresh and pretty damned tasty. There was also a ceviche and tuna tartare that was, unfortunately, a bit unremarkable, as was the shrimp cocktail (though the shrimps were pretty hefty). The American "black caviar" was a nice way to commemorate the meal. Nutty with a pop of salinity but maybe something you can skip. We meant to order the Carne e Formaggi but got the Gamberetto instead which was fine as it was pretty tasty nonetheless (made with shrimp but it almost tasted like smoked salmon). Virgola Manhattan was good but pretty standard. Follow-up drink of dirty Manhattan was blissfully salty and cold. But back to the menu: we are unsure if they have an actual kitchen back there which would also explain the small plates concept and oyster and chilled fish options. The bruschetta was tasty, as mentioned, but it seems like they cut and toasted the bread and topped it with the crudo. The other bruschetta options featured ingredients from other menu items that could be re-purposed for multiple dishes. Smart but expect this. We plan on returning and trying the charcuterie board (mix and match cheeses and meats) and some cocktails. Overall, a nice night out and a nice option for dining and drinking around Patchogue. On this occasion the staff really used the bandwidth to elevate our experience. We came here for the first time just before closing on a slow night en route to the East End, and i can tell you that this typically bustling place (judging from other reviews) delighted across the board. There is obviously a strong management culture here that expects excellence at all times. Food is fantastic - all the Italian American standards are represented here. Chicken francese and pasta with vodka sauce were off-the-hook. Portions are of the "roll you out the door" size, so the experience continued to lunch the following day.
