Fantastic brunch and nice bloody Mary took my husband for his birthday would go again

Nice little spot just off the main strip in port jeff. Stopped in here for a quick dinner with my wife and son and had a nice experience. We actually split a bunch of appetizers, all of which were good. The oysters were fresh and shuked perfectly. The tuna stack was a much different take on a tar tar but was delicious. It featured a peanut shell, marinated tuna, guac, and mild spicy mayo. We also got the baked clams which were also different but yummy. They were diced in an almost chowder seasoned breadcrumbs bake. The pizza was just ok and was served on essentially an English muffin. The drink menu featured some great cocktails and everything was reasonably priced. Served was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend if your in the village. read more

Not for the elderly, multi-level steps and floors. Steps to bathrooms, steps to main tables, steep ramp approach on one side, many steps levels for another enterance. Food is good, but never had a pickle on plate not chilled and crisp. Water is tepid, have to ask for extra glass of ice for the table. French string beans were ok but cooked whole carrots had very little taste. Waiters were fine but need more experience. Expensive for what's served and the chef needs lots more experience. read more

Hubby made reservations for us to dine here for brunch with my MIL for Mother's Day. The parking lot is shared and this was a very nice weekend, I'm sure the nicest it's been in a few weeks, so the lot was packed to the brim. We lucked out with parking and when we arrived and gave the name, we were given the choice of inside or out. We chose outside to take advantage of the beautiful, sunny day. Despite their outdoor dining being off the lot, it still felt far removed with the elevated space and plants. The umbrellas helped with the intense sun. We were able to have them raise and lower when we wanted shade or not. Juliana was our server and she was the best. She said she was new but was very attentive pleasant. We started with cocktails, and I loved my passion fruit mezcalita. I asked for it not to be too sweet and it was perf. The food was great. I loved every bite. Not one had anything bad to say. We all enjoyed our food. Grub Rundown: Oysters - the grilled variety were tasty but I would have liked them to be larger. They cooked down and shriveled to nothingness. Yummy nothingness, but nothingness all the same. I ahd a half dozen blue points for raw bar and they were good also, served with lemon, cocktail sauce, and a mignonette. Calamari - a must have! These were sooo good! The breading is top tier. They need to sell their technique because these were the best I've had on a long time. Caesar Salad - I had it with salmon and they give a nice sized filet. My only grip is that I would prefer to have the crispy skin on my salmon. If people who order salmon don't like the skin, they should have to request it be removed. I shouldn't have to request the skin be served on. The gray layer just isn't appealing, and crispy salmon skin it tops. Breakfast Tacos - hubby had these but don't ask me how they tasted...he was seated too far. All I know is that he liked them a lot. French Toast Bites - these were good. I ordered them for my kiddo. She loved them but there were a lot and it's all sweet. I ordered a side of breakfast sausage which she appreciated, and the two links were big and very tasty. Shrimp & Lobster Hash - my MIL loved this dish. She finished every bite so I'll take her actions as word. The service was great, the tables were clean. We had a few hangups where we had to ask for silverware after food was served, and when I asked for fresh cracked pepper, I was given a pepper shaker. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and my kiddo asked to come back, so that's a win. read more

Random night out for Happy Hour. Nice outdoor area, but as we did happy hour we had to eat inside. Still very nice. Service was great, did not have to wait long for anything. And the food so good. Nantauket restaurant is a must miss. Highly overpriced. everything is an upcharge. you have to be a Billy goat to get in. No accommodation for a person with disabilities. At their high prices they should cover the parking! I asked for one substitute and the kitchen was rigid and far from creative. One of the group was Vegetarian: don't even think about it. Service was fair at best and somewhat slow. Although the setting is very nice, we would never go back. read more

I am a Port Jeff resident who would come here occasionally for good food at a reasonable price. Today I had lunch here with a friend from out of town and was embarrassed by the food and service. We ordered 2 lobster rolls, one hot and one cold. Both were equally disappointing. The lobster didn't taste fresh and lacked flavor. The bill came and those two lobster rolls with 2 ice teas cost me $96 without the tip. Lastly, the waitress seemed uninterested and not very friendly. I won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

Today I ate at Nantucket's in Port Jefferson and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant decor is beautiful. Our server, Tatiana, was so pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and the food was amazing! I had the special Halibut over Risotto and my friend had the shrimp tacos. Also delicious. First weekend in over 2 months we're not supposed to get rain YAY the roads were packed and Port J was busy. We wanted to go back to a place we had brunch before but they don't open until 5 on Saturday. Did a quick search and found this place. The deck is nice but the inside is very small - thankfully it was still nice enough to eat outside. Not much of a view, you're literally overlooking the municipal parking lot. Food was tasty and service was good. Dz Oysters, calamari app, mahi mahi tacos, house burger and three beers (with $20 tip) came to almost $130 Only gripe is that I know it's off season but the oyster were tiny - I mean tiny. Would have been nice to have been told beforehand. Otherwise a nice lunch. read more

The Service was horrible. Gave us no napkins the whole time (we also had a baby) like come on do we really need to ask for napkins and meanwhile it was only us in the whole friggin restaurant on a Sunday early afternoon! I got the French toast bites and they were so hard and had no flavor. The only good thing was they put a lot of vodka in their bottomless mimosas but also not good because she never came around to ask for a refill. $20 for bottomless my butt. While we were sitting a family of three came in and sat. They left 10 minutes after sitting because no one came to their table. There was no one there ! What are you doing just hanging out on your phones doing nothing?! Service is horrible horrible. My family and I will definitely NOT be coming back. read more

This restaurant has possibly the worst service in the area. Each time my family has come here we have waited upwards of 45 minutes for food to come out. Today, we waited for an appetizer that never came. We watched as the same appetizer was delivered to tables who came after us. When we asked the waitress about the status on the order, she returned and said they were out of the appetizer we ordered. We are currently still waiting for our salads. There is no way in any restaurant it should take almost an hour for salad. In any case, I hope I get to eat lunch soon... If a similar experience has not happened the last time I dined here, I would think it is a fluke. However, it seems to just be the status here and my family will not be returning, even though we love the dog friendly atmosphere. Had brunch during the week. They had unlimited mimosas surprisingly! The mimosas were in huge wine glasses and were perfect amount of strong. Got the eggs Benedict. I wasn't crazy about the hollandaise sauce. It was very light instead of thick what im used to. The steak for the steak and eggs was a little over done and tough to eat. First time here tonight and we were very happy with everything. We sat inside at a corner table by the window and had excellent food, drink, and service. Between us all we got the calamari (both my lil boys ate most as it was perfect), buttered lobster rolls, tuna, desserts, and cocktails. Can't wait to come back. Nantuckets was a great experience overall. The price is on par for the area but the quality exceeds most. It's a great seafood menu that isn't pretentious. The blackened swordfish is topped with a mango salsa and served with asparagus. Everything on the plate was excellent! My only disappointment was because of the grilled oysters which had several bites with very hard bits. The flavor was wonderful but I think I had bad luck with two that probably should've been served. I'm sure it's an anomaly so won't keep me from returning or recommending. The service was good but could be a touch more attentive and friendly. The hostess me the bartender were excellent. The restaurant interior is nice and cozy and there's also outdoor seating with a nice enough view. I'm looking forward to coming back on my next trip. read more

An excellent random choice for lunch today while strolling around Port Jeff. The lobster roll was stuffed with large chunks of warm lobster drizzled with butter and savory sweet. Although directly adjacent to a parking lot, this spot is easy to miss since it's main entrance is on the "backside" of a street of shops. However I'm glad to say this was another example of Yelp steering us in the right direction both geographically and gastronomically. Hankering for a bit of seafood on our weekend trip, my friend and I arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday, and were asked if we had reservations. We didn't so the waitress checked and considering this is still Covid times, we were seated in approximately 5 minutes. Most people sat outdoors on the patio which had an overhead awning set up. Around that time, there were about 6-8 tables of people sitting outdoors, split up between the two patio areas. Service was cordial and professional, and all wore masks and gloves. Sitting outside I wasn't 6 feet apart from the next table, which was overall ok since there was a nice breeze but it did feel slightly uncomfortable when the woman at the neighboring table sneezed 5 or six times in a row in the middle of dinner--our backs we facing each other but we were only a few feet apart. We ordered the soup of the day - New England clam chowder $11, mahi mahi fish tacos $21, and the seafood pasta $27. Every dish was delicious and plentiful. The seafood in the pasta dish was very fresh and perfectly cooked along with roasted plum tomatoes and delightfully al dente pappardelle in a light broth. Easily one of the best pasta dishes I've eaten in the past year! The clam chowder was creamy, and the just-done potatoes provided a nice slightly crisp texture. The fish tacos came with a delicious jicama slaw and slightly spicy chipotle aioli. I appreciated the fresh citrus in the salad, it helped brighten the dish--and the sweet plantains were prepared well too. My only note was that the fish in the tacos seemed a smidgen over cooked, but really overall it was a terrific meal. I would definitely come back again if I was in the area. read more

Came on a quiet Saturday afternoon around the time they had just opened. Very cute tucked away place in Port Jefferson. The service was very slow and only saw our waitress twice. Unable to ask for another drink or ask for the check since we hadn't seen our waitress since we got our food. The menu for brunch was average. The menu was small but was suffice. The food quality did not seem the best. We came on a nice fall day so maybe the quality of food goes down after the summer? The service was great as was the location, however the food was pretty disappointing. In my opinion, three stars for service and venue and one star for food. I was served a badly burned crab cake they tried to hide by serving burned side down. Even the kids struggled to eat the bizarre oily deep fried French toast bite dish. I think seeing how a restaurant makes up for something going wrong tells you a lot about about their level of service. So while I was on the receiving end of a Bloody Mary shower (sh!t happens), the staff went above and beyond to make it right and make sure we were ok.
