Lately, I've been spending a lot of time eating in airports. Most of the time the food and service are acceptable, once in a while both are exceptional (see my review of the Velvet Taco) and occasionally both are below expectations, even for airport food. Unfortunately, this was the case for Floret. Our server came by to take our order as soon as we sat down. We asked for some time to look at the menu. He didn't come back until we finally flagged him down. He began to walk away without taking our toddler's order. We asked for our eggs to be scrambled well. They weren't, they were so wet as to be inedible. Our coffees came out minutes after our food, and our toddler's quesadilla appeared even later. "Tiger," who was not our server, was kind enough to check on us, and we told him about the eggs. Our request for well done was not on the ticket to the kitchen. He had them remade for us. By the time our server came by to check on us, we already had the fresh eggs. On the upside, the crispy potatoes and sourdough toast were delicious, and the cardamom rose latte was in a class by itself. Tiger also offered to refill my coffee, which our server never did. In addition, Leslie stopped by to let us know that our food was on its way, and occasionally to chat, and her infectious smile brightened the entire room. For an airport breakfast place, it was good. I had two over medium eggs that were over cooked but completely edible (just not yolky), crispy potatoes that were yummy, and a thick slice of sourdough bread with raspberry freezer jam. Randy had a breakfast sandwich on brioche with egg, arugula and tomato with a delish sauce. He loved it. He got cheesy grits as a side. We'd never had cheesy grits and it was SO good...while it was hot. As it cooled down, it gelled up a bit. So the place was clean, the food was good and the service was phenomenal. We were greeted and seated right away, our server was very good and friendly and they were busy. We asked a different person if we could get our check because we saw how busy ours was and he just rang us up right there and we were on our way. read more

This place is a well-oiled machine! They got us in so fast even though the place was packed. Took our orders right away and then got that food to us! The waitress was so nice too- is that how Seattle ppl are or was it just her? My kids shared a cinnamon roll and were both raving about it. They also shared the kids breakfast plate. Thank goodness for kids menus in expensive places like the airport! I got the sodo breakfast sandwich on a gluten free bun. My one complaint is it needed more aioli. It was only one one half of the sandwich and the bites with aioli were so much better! Otherwise a good sandwich overall. I had three hours to wander around the airport, and around 1 pm, the hunger started to rear its ugly head. I didn't want fast food and wanted something healthier, when I saw Floret. Wow, a vegetarian restaurant in the airport? I guess they deserve a space, and it was pretty busy. Offering something other than the norm is good! I was given a nice table in the corner, which gave me a good view of the place. I ordered a glass of the Malbec to start....not bad. I then ordered the sundried tomato pasta for lunch. This was really good! Came with mushrooms and brocolini and some parmesean. I then ordered the coconut cake which was really sweat but very good! An espresso to cut that sweetness and I was good! My only complaint was the pasta took a while to come out, and the friendly server said that the preparation was what made it so good. Ok, I'll buy that. LOL! Great place to come to! A coffee / tea / hot chocolate shop that only goes part way. The good news is that relative to other coffee vendors inside security at SeaTac airport, the lines are short. The bad news is that they really don't have it together ... I ordered a 16-oz hot chocolate (non-fat with whipped cream) ... sorry, they don't do whipped cream. Well OK. But the hot chocolate was passable it wasn't great. The croissant was reasonably good. Then there was the receipt -- the dollars were on the right, but the cents on the left (see the scanned receipt) ... just poorly implemented. There is lots of competition for coffee business at the airport (Starbucks, Dilettante, etc.). Floret could do better. read more

This will always be my go to spot at the airport! Sometimes I wish I could fly just so that I could go here. They have so many amazing healthy options but the food tastes like comfort food. It's a great way to get some veggies and fiber in before a trip but still feel like you're eating something you couldn't make at home. This last trip, I got the seasonal scramble made with tofu. Their scrambled tofu is insane- I have no idea how they make it but it's perfect to me. Such good flavor and the veggies were perfect. I got a side of cheesy grits, which are an absolute must. My entire meal was also gluten free, as is most of their menu! Everything they have is vegetarian, and a lot of it is vegan as well. This is one of the top spots for allergen sensitivities in the whole airport (or perhaps even the city). The staff is always so kind and quick. They know the menu really well and understand that people at the airport are in a hurry. On my most recent trip, I put in a to go order then left to go to the restroom and fill my water and my meal was ready at the front by the time I got back. When I have more time, I love dining in because they have a really beautiful spot with big windows and funky wallpaper. Already excited for my next flight! read more

Anyone who has looked at Yelp ratings of airport restaurants knows above 4 stars with any significant # of reviews makes you a unicorn. And as far as airport restaurants go, you're not going to find much better than this. I'm not saying it was out of this world, but the breakfast sandwich and cardamom rose latte (I asked for it to be half sweetness because I don't like sugary coffee drinks) were perfect. Buttery brioche, delicious aioli, perfectly cooked eggs, and a nice microfoam with well balanced flavors on the latte made a great start to my vacation. Service was great too. read more

I'm sad this place is in the airport because if it was somewhere where I didn't have to buy a plane ticket to get to it I would go all the time. The latest time I went I had a margarita which was nicely balanced and very drinkable and I also had a sweet and spicy crispy tofu sandwich. I am still craving that sandwich, even after going on a ten day vacation and eating lots of amazing things since. It was the perfect combo of - well, crispy, sweet and spicy. Although it was a big sandwich it didn't sit too heavy in my stomach for the flight, either. Service was quick and very friendly - the servers all covered for each other and food came very quickly. The restaurant initially looked cramped to me but it turns out tables were spaced a nice distance apart and it looks out on the tarmac and into the airport so there was plenty to watch. My flight was delayed an hour and I really needed water and was a bit peckish- I spotted this storefront and was drawn in- cases of goodies and a great menu. I opted for a mushroom hand pie that was delicious and a big bottle of water. I didn't bother sitting down in the adjacent dining area, I just wondered the terminal shops, munching on my yummy snack. I'll keep this particular restaurant in mind next time I'm in the Seattle Airport! read more

Quick line and super yummy! This was a great addition to this section of Sea-Tac, with Starbucks close by and always insanely busy. I absolutely loved the Iced Mango Matcha, and the Floret Vegan Burrito was delicious as well. The burrito was $13 but was a great size for the price. Highly recommend this place! read more

As far as airport food goes, Floret is some of the best I've had. Not a surprise considering they are an offshoot of Cafe Flora. Above average breakfast food (they also lunch options), great vegetarian and healthy dishes, and delicious lattes thanks to Stumptown coffee. The waitstaff is efficient and the restaurant is both open and cozy. Try for a seat in the back near the window to watch what's happening on the tarmac. I recommend the cardamom rose latte and the cheesy grits. The butternut squash in my omelette was cooked to perfection. The dollop of goat cheese on top brought everything together. Maybe not the best choice if you are in a rush, but if you have the time, I recommend Floret. read more

Honestly the best airport food I've ever had, and amazing service. We dined in, and the ambiance was actually pretty decent and you could even forget you were traveling for a moment. My friend dropped their fork, and before I could even hand them mine that I hadn't used at all, our server had already presented us with a new one! The service was super attentive, and the food came pretty quickly too. I'm ashamed to admit that I was not expecting it to be so tasty so I didn't bother taking a picture, but even if Floret weren't at an airport, it would be a good spot! As a starter, we got the cauliflower which was excellent. I had the portobello mushroom French dip, which I really enjoyed and the yam fries were also great. My friend had the crispy tofu sandwich, which they also really liked (though the server did warn us that it got a bit messy, and that was true). I am always in Seattle's airport and Floret is definitely a solid option for food. It's nothing grand or special but it gets the job done as far as a nice place to sit down and have a meal if you have time to spare between flights. The service is hit or miss, they are very busy so I definitely understand but it is a little difficult to flag down servers for coffee/water refills or to get the check. Food is mid... i like that they have a lot of healthier options. I also appreciate the unlimited coffee refills. We had their cinnamon roll and it was good but the outside was a little hard. I have been to Floret many times since they opened at SeaTac and each time is fantastic. My partner and I stopped in for breakfast on a layover and enjoyed some yummy dishes. We split a cinnamon roll and their tofu scramble with breakfast potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly, flavorful and downright delicious. The mimosas were strong as well which offset the airport prices. It was pretty busy (most tables were full) but we got seated almost immediately and our server was great about checking in and bringing the check when asked. Definitely recommend Floret if you have an hour to kill in Seattle. Plus, they have a Grab-n-Go counter so you can enjoy their famous burritos without the wait! read more

The Port Orchard pear martini was delicious, and the maple chili brussels sprouts were the table favourite among my party of 4. The winter grain bowl, which I ordered, was rather bland, so it definitely needed the dressing. Overall, everything was quite good though, and Floret way exceeded my expectations for airport food in the U.S. Staff were quite welcoming and patient, allowing us to take our time ordering and enjoying our meal. This is my go-to whenever I am at the Seattle airport. Since it's an airport restaurant, it is expensive, but the food is so good. Unlike most airport restaurants, I would actually come here even if it wasn't in the airport. There is a broad selection of both coffee and tea drinks, and I've liked everything I've tried. Their honey lavender latte is really good, but be warned that it is pretty sweet. This time I had the summer scramble and matcha latte (pictured). Summer scramble was simple but good. The matcha latte was not my favorite, but still the best matcha I've had at an airport. I also liked that I could get it completely unsweetened. I've had their iced latte in the past and enjoyed it - not the greatest latte ever but still decent. I've also had the avocado toast in the past which is probably my favorite menu item. The location is really nice - right next to the large windows, and I enjoy sitting here and getting some work done while waiting for my flight. Service has always been really quick, and I've been able to eat here even on a 1-hour layover. read more

Vegans and vegetarians rejoice! You have options in an airport! Only thing is that it's a bit pricey $$$. Cafe Flora is the all vegetarian restaurant in Seattle and it's already pricey, so add to that the airport upcharge and it's even more expensive. The food is tasty though, but I'll admit I haven't tried the $17 cocktails. They also have non-alcoholic options! But we're unfortunately out of the blackberry Thai basil spritz I wanted to try. I got the farro salad for dinner, it was solid. Previously, I've gotten the yam fries (very good) and the avocado toast (I do not recommend getting this to go and trying to eat it on the plane, I broke every plastic utensil I had and it was very messy). I'm not by any means a vegetarian. But being able to get a nice hearty airport breakfast that isn't just egg + processed meat + cheese + low quality carb? Sign me up! Their autumn scramble was delicious, filling, and I didn't feel gross afterward. It's also such a breath of fresh air to get friendly service at an airport restaurant. All of the 4 or 5 employees I saw interacting with customers were downright pleasant! It's obviously a priority for them, and kudos for pulling it off. I'm sure it's better than the other places in SeaTac which get 3 or fewer stars, but I was unimpressed. (I got the caesar and the butternut squash rigatoni.) So since we couldn't make it to Cafe Flora for brunch we were lucky enough to eat at Floret at the airport before our flight home. I'm glad we did. This place is located all the way at the far end of one of the terminals so a little bit of a walk for us fro our gate but we had plenty of time so no big deal. We were seated right away and for an airport restaurant space, this one was pretty good. Most are very cramped but this didn't feel like that. We got some espresso drinks which took a few minutes to make and also orange juice which we could tell was fresh squeezed. I got their eggs which came with garlicky greens and potatoes, and my husband got their bowl with egg. What stole the show though were the cheesy grits. They were smoky and cheesy and delicious Given it's an airport it was expensive, but if I ever find myself in Seattle again I'm definitely making it a point to go to the Cafe Flora location! read more
