Walking through the town and came across this beautiful little gem - started with a "When Life Gives You Roses" as a cocktail and it was refreshingly perfect. the food was delicious and fresh too - I had the smoked salmon appetizer and I think it was finished before I could take a breath. Yum! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture because I started to eat and it was just too good to remember a picture. One of my favorite dishes is anything (and everything) parsnip so the parsnip pure was out of this world! I haven't had such a delicious cup (or three) of French press coffee in SO LONG. The atmosphere was beautiful and for such a small space, the acoustics were enjoyable. I didn't feel like I needed to shout or anything was overtly loud. I was not impressed at all and very disappointed. We went to celebrate a birthday and it happened to be restaurant week. Don't even get me started that restaurant week used to be $24 for 3 courses, now it's $46! And most dished are a $6-10 surcharge. Anyway, I don't like fish so I ordered short ribs which was $10 surcharge. So $56 total. Honestly, it didn't taste like short ribs, it tasted like bad pot roast. Tasteless and dry. Small portions as well. Appetizer of arancini (risotto balls) tasted good but sitting in a bowl of buttermilk! Really not necessary. My friend asked for no onions in his salad and the salad had a ton of onions in it! Service was ok except for getting the salad wrong. Ambiance was nice. We took desert to go and haven't eaten it yet, so can't comment on that. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

Wow such a cute spot in East Hamptons, New York. I loved the interior design and decoration! The lighting fixtures, flowers, wallpaper and floral plates made me fall in love. We came in for lunch and ordered the wedge salad which was very fresh with a kick of sugared bacon, blue cheese and pumpernickel croutons! I came here for the lobster roll and it did not disappoint. I would eat it everyday if I could. It was delicious and we loved it! For dessert we had to try the carrot cake and of course it was superb. A good carrot cake has the spice trifecta of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove and this had it. These ingredients add to the flavor and made it pop. It's like a spice-y confection with a taste that you won't find on any other cake. The coffee was a good pair with the cake. We enjoyed everything about this restaurant! The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely recommend this spot for brunch or lunch! read more

This was such a great dinner. I heard mixed reviews so was not sure what to expect but wow- I am glad I tried it. The chicken was easily the best chicken dish I've had out in a long time. The parsnip purée is fantastic. Our drinks were really pretty and delicious. The atmosphere is very different than most places around and the decor is beautiful. It was a bit bright inside when we first got there but the lights dimmed nicely by the time dinner arrived. It's the perfect spot for a night out with girlfriends to catch up over dinner. I would love to return soon. read more

Beautiful space even outdoors where we wanted to sit . We were there once before indoors for brunch which was great! Food was good but pace of service was way too fast so that we could not savor our beautiful delicious drink or appetizer. First let me say the food is AMAZING!! I've been thinking about the scallops since the last time I came here. Had the lobster fondue for an appetizer which I was impressed with but had about 2/3 left when we used the few slices of bread they provided, we asked for more bread from two staff members and didn't receive more until after our entrees were almost finished and the fondue was cold. For a $22 appetizer I would expect extra bread could come out quicker than a 30 minute wait. Waitress was handling many tables which I understand is hard to juggle but we did not see her once between getting our first round of drinks to clearing our entree plates, which is a shame because me and my friends would've loved another round! Drink was pretty but very lightly poured it seemed. Overall service was 1/5 but food is always 5/5. Hoping service improves so I can happily return. read more

We've been coming to Flora since last summer. We moved out here from New Jersey in February 2021. It has become our go to brunch/lunch almost every Sunday. The food is so delicious and beautifully presented. The entire staff is very friendly and attentive. update: the owner was very kind to respond and apologize for the situation. That's really all I wanted, an acknowledgment and apology so I appreciate it. I've changed my review to 4 stars and next time I'm in town I'll be happy to give it another shot. I hate to leave a bad review during these tough times but what we experienced here was really unacceptable and inhospitable. This happened months ago and I had decided not to write a review but the more I think about this the more troubling it is. I made a reservation over the phone for early dinner for my girlfriends birthday and let them know that we'll have our very small dog with us and asked for outdoor seating. I was told it wouldn't be a problem to bring our dog, the only thing was that outdoor seating was on a first come first served basis and that was the only place they allows dogs. I totally understood, I've worked in hospital for awhile and this common practice. I made a back up reservation just in case and hoped it would work out. The day of our reservation we went by the restaurant about an hour before our reservation and let them know we're happy to dine anytime if that helps to accommodate the outdoor seating request. I made it clear to the host that we had a dog and that I was asking for the outdoor seating because of it. She said no problem and they actually had a table outside for us, I said great and told her I'm going to get my girlfriend and our dog. We sit down, are greeted by a server who asks what breed our dog is and kindly brings us water and menus. As we're deciding what we want to eat another server comes out and tells us that dogs are not allowed. I told her that I had just spoken with the host about this and spoke with someone on the phone when I made the reservation and they both made it clear that dogs were allowed in outdoor seating only, and we were clearly seated outside. She tells us she's going to get her manager without us even asking to speak with them. The couple sitting next to us heard what was happening and commented that they bring their dog all the time and wondered what the problem was. The manager comes out and tells us that they don't allow dogs. I reiterated the whole story to him about how when I made the reservation I asked about this and had been very respectful of their policies, that's why I showed up early to see if they could accommodate. I told him that I just spoke with the host and she said it was fine, without even asking her he claimed that she didn't see the dog. I had just literally told her that we had a dog with us and she had just sat us while I was holding my dog on it's leash. He said still it will not be possible to dine there and asked if we had somewhere we can leave the dog, having driven from the city for the day, we didn't. He then told us that we wouldn't be able to dine tonight and while he did tell us to come by another time without the dog, he basically told us to leave. The table next to us that commented on it shocked and again noted that they have brought their dog there before, although they didn't say this in front of the manager. Luckily I had a back up plan and we were able to eat somewhere else but we were both disappointed because not only was this my girlfriend's birthday, we were both really excited to eat there because of the great looking food and cocktails. I had even arranged when I made the reservation for a dessert to come out to wish her a happy birthday, so it was a bummer. We politely thanked the manager for his time and left without issue but this left a very bad taste in our mouths. As the only people of color in the restaurant it stung a little more to know that the people sitting next to us had been allowed to do the same thing without issue. I don't want to accuse anyone of ill intent but I think it's worth mentioning, it made us feel unwelcome and it was frankly embarrassing. I hope this was just an anomaly but this situation was very poorly handled and we felt disrespected beyond just not being allowed to dine there even when we're trying to follow the rules. read more

Visited this restaurant for the first time today (6/11/21). It had great reviews so my godsister and I decided to stop in for lunch. It did not disappoint! I had the scallops and my godsister had the days special which was the swordfish, couscous and asparagus. Both were delicious! Initially, I was disappointed that the scallop dish was very small. It only had about 4 scallops in it for $32. But it wound up being very filling since I had the mushroom soup also. We also had a bottle of Pinot Grigio. All the dishes were great. The prices were moderate. The service was phenomenal! Hunter was our server and we loved her personality! She was very attentive and personable. She was kind enough to recommend and comp us dessert. Flora's signature dessert that looks like a plant was so yummy and cute. If I'm ever back in the Hamptons I'd definitely return. Cute area also to walk around to the shops in the area.
