We went in Today to look at wood and maybe get a price. As soon as we walked in, we were smacked in the face with the smell of cigarette smoke. We tried to fight through the smell, but within 3 minutes my wife was feeling sick and we had to leave. Very disappointed with our experience with Moe. We went in a few Saturdays ago to get pricing on wood-look tile. Moe quoted us but was able to come down after my wife mentioned that we were referred by a previous customer of theirs. We were ready to place the order, but Moe said that he needed to call the warehouse the next day to confirm stock and that he would get back to us then. He emailed my wife with the quote the next day, but it was a dollar per square foot more than his verbal quote from the day before. I called, no answer. I emailed twice and received no reply. I am very happy with my experience here, I've been looking everywhere for high quality, cost effective flooring for our new home. I almost didn't stop here but am glad I did. From the minute I walked in the door Sam greeted me with a smile and helped me pull samples while gathering info on what I was looking for. We went into the store and we're greeted by Moe who was extremely nice and professional, we showed him a competitor's price and he was able to match and gave us his guarantee that we will not be disappointed. To summarize they were able to complete the job task of completely gutting 3 bathrooms into less than 3 weeks. This place is a joke and I hope nobody gives them their business. I called and spoke to Moe on Wednesday about a full bathroom remodel. I wanted an estimate so we scheduled an appointment for Saturday at 930am. Now I was skeptical about the appointment because I scheduled an appointment with Moe last year and they failed to show up for that one. But for whatever reason I decided to give them another chance this year hoping things have changed at this company.....but nothing has. I called Friday the day before to reconfirm our appointment and Moe said we were still good to go. So Saturday morning comes around and nobody shows up. I called Flooring Mart at 1030 and spoke to an employee to confirm the appointment was at 9:30. He said his worker was running late but he will be there in less than 15 minutes and to call him back if there was any problems. So they were an hour late and didn't bother to let me know??? 15 minutes past and nobody has showed up so I called back and the same employee said his estimator was 5 minutes out. So now we are looking at almost 11:00. An hour passes by and still no estimator. So now were at 12 o'clock and I called back to cancel my appointment and spoke to the same employee. I told him his estimator never made it to my house and I wanted to cancel the appointment. The employee says, "oh he never made it" and I said, "yes that's why I'm canceling." Then he says "oh, uh my estimator said you were never home so he left." Now that's a lie obviously because I have been waiting by the door all morning and I have cameras at my house that would have caught the estimator coming. Plus if that was true wouldn't they have called me and told me they were outside??? Then he asks for my name and phone number again so he can try and schedule another appointment. This store is a scam, So needless to say I canceled the appointment. They are all liars and I will never do business with them. People reading this, please ask yourself, if they can't even show up for an appointment what makes you think they will show up after you give them thousands of dollars or after they complete the job and you have a leak or any other issue. Yelp and Sign on door says open on Sundays, but doors are Locked and no ones home... Looks like I do Business elsewhere.

I struggled on whether I should write this because all of the reviews are so positive that my experience must have been out of the ordinary, but felt my experience should be posted...I submitted a quote request via Yelp and received a messaging stating they would contact me...no contact was made. I called a few days later and explained that no one followed up on the message and there was no acknowledgement or apology of the oversight. Not a huge deal honestly especially since they offered to come out to do an estimate the same day. About 10 minutes before the appointment I received a call that the rep was the only person on the sales floor so he couldn't come out just then. He said he would call back in an hour...two hours later there was no call, so I called back and was told that the rep was out but the message would be delivered. The rep did call back immediately (which is great!) but told me that he didn't call back (even with an update) because he went to lunch. I totally get that you need lunch, but call back and let me know it's going to either not happen that day or it will happen later. Meanwhile I'm sitting at home all day waiting and waiting. Thankfully he came, took some photos and said that he would need to discuss what I needed with the owner and installation crew, but would get back with me no later than 3-4 days later. On the fourth day when I still hadn't heard back, I stopped by the showroom on my way home from work. The rep was there but greeted me as though he was unfamiliar and I had to remind him. I think he either didn't remember what I needed or misunderstood because he said, "actually we don't do plumbing." I told him I didn't need any plumbing repair and he turned to the woman at the front desk. As I explained my situation, she interrupted me saying, "We don't do hot mop." I answered, "But you do shower remodels, yes?" She answered yes and then proceeded to inform me that even with a budget tile (I don't think I mentioned ANYTHING about being on a budget) the cost would be about $8,500. Both reps looked at me with smug grins (I guess assuming that it was outside my budget?). I suppose I don't WANT to pay that much (who would?) but I understood that it was necessary and I was willing and ABLE to do so. I don't appreciate the implication that they are outside of my price range. In fact, I had considered remodeling my entire bathroom instead of just the shower. I was very much looking forward to working with Flooring Mart, but you've now lost a client. I left the showroom so in shock, that I couldn't even process what happened until I got to my car. Just as an FYI, I contacted the company via their website prior to posting on Yelp because I felt it best to address this issue with them specifically. No response. It's possible they tried to call me (I received a missed call), but I wasn't able to answer because I was in a meeting. No voicemail was left nor did anyone call back, thus the Yelp review. Update: it's been an additional day and still no refund. The tile manufacturer insisted on coming to my house this morning to review the tile themselves. They told me they'd test it, but regardless, if I'm unhappy with their product they will not force it on a customer. She authorized full refund without a restocking fee to Flooring Mart, but they couldn't come get the tile for days. The Sales Manager (who was supposed to be at this meeting and never showed up) says he will come pick up the product and drive it down to the tile manufacturer so he can get his refund and then he will refund our money. Absolutely not! The tile manufacturer just told me that they would refund it all to you-you need to refund me immediately so I can go find and purchase new tile. You're holding $5k of my money and won't give it back til you get yours? RIDICULOUS! Then the sales manager says that the OWNER says we need to pay $500 for delivery charges. That's not going to happen!! We paid for the initial delivery, why should we pay for you to pick this crap back up? Owner refuses to call us. This is what they call customer service. Update to follow once I get my refund! Had this review been written last week, it would have been five stars. I ordered flooring tile for my entire house and Quartz countertops from this place. Service was fast, everyone was polite and the countertops came out immaculate. Once my contractor got to laying the wood look tile in the house, however, he noticed that they were extremely bowed. He was doing the 1/3 overlap and 1/8 grout as recommended and there were pieces sticking up so far that you'd stub your toe. None of it was even. He didn't feel comfortable laying the tile because of the poor quality and didn't want me to be unhappy with the end result. We understand that with longer flooring tile they have a small margin for imperfections. But every box we opened had severe bowing. Also, my contractor is now just sitting around with nothing to do and I'm in a time crunch to move in. I called to get a refund at 11am - I purchased 1450 sq ft of this tile and there was no way I was going to have uneven floors throughout. The GM, whom I never dealt with, said she had to call the sales manager and the owner because she couldn't authorize that large of a refund, she'd call me back. She was also the only employee there all day, so every phone call was interrupted by a walk in customer. The tile manufacturer called and accused my contractor of incorrectly installing the floors, saying they'd never had a problem, that bowing is to industry standards. We can come down and check out the product at the warehouse in Anaheim so we can see there's no problem, he says. I have 1450 sq ft of the tile at home.... Every box we opened had bowing, that's almost an entire warehouse in and of itself, I don't need to go to your store nor do I have time to do so. I need floors! I connected him with my contractor who assured him he was installing the way it is recommended. He says if we're set on returning the product, to do so with Flooring Mart and he'd deal with them on the backend. I called Flooring Mart back about 15 times to check on a refund response because construction is at a standstill if I have no floors for the contractor to put in. I needed them to confirm the refund so I can go try to rush an order from another company to get that amount of flooring tile in a day. It took until 6 pm for the GM to get a response from the owner of this company. Clearly, his customers are not his priority. 6 hrs to get a response and it wasn't favorable. They have to make a claim against the tile manufacturer to avoid paying the restocking fee and for them to take back all the tile. I understand that Flooring Mart is the middle man here, but YOU sell the product and if it's defective and poor quality, YOU deal with the customer on this. I purchased tile and countertops (almost $9k of products) here I wasn't given a good faith "we'll give you a refund so you can go get more flooring and we'll handle the claim on our end." I was told I needed to wait because they weren't going to give us a refund if the tile company wouldn't take the defective tile back. They don't care that I have no floors and no time to waste on their process. Had the floors been good quality, we wouldn't have this issue and I wouldn't be asking for a refund! I was also, again, told about the bowing of the floors and how it's normal and had the Flooring Mart laid the tile there would have been no problem, that it's likely my contractor that doesn't know how to lay them. More likely I would have overpaid for labor and the floors would have been uneven and you would have laid them anyway like there was no problem. I have no floors, a contractor getting paid and not doing anything, and the owner won't even call his own employee back in a timely manner to discuss this emergency situation. I would like to respond to Ed D's response to deny my claims. Please do not be fooled by these people. It is true that The Flooring Mart had to go back and CORRECT at least one major mistake made by their own installers (installed new granite countertop and failed to level the counter). It is also true that they had to go back and CORRECT other mistakes his installers made that they should have done correctly in the first place. So when I made other WARRANTY claims such as large gaps between cabinet doors and cabinet doors that do not shut after a brand new installation possibly a month after job completion Mr. Ed D. just ignored my calls. I made multiple calls even to his cell/direct line and left multiple messages that Mr. Ed D chose to ignore. Roughly a week after I left multiple messages that were unanswered Mr. Ed D. sends me an email telling me that he is out of town for the holidays and that he has made a warranty claim for the stain in the granite countertop. He said that I should get a response back in about a week. That email was roughly around December 24th, 2013. It is now January 11th, 2014 and I have not heard back from anyone at The Flooring Mart. So to date The Flooring Mart has done nothing to correct the mistakes that their installers have made at our properties pertaining to my latest WARRANTY claims. They were happy to take our money and then ignore our WARRANTY claims. We have much better things to do with our precious time than to chase around quacks like these people. We went to see Junior last week to discuss flooring options for our home. We found Junior to be very knowledgeable and competent. He gave us a lot of information in a very short amount of time. Today he came to our home to take measurements for the estimate. He was very thorough and answered all of our questions. And he was nice to our dogs. Trust me - this has been a problem with other contractors in the past. We haven't received our final estimate yet - Junior just left 20 minutes ago - but we're pretty sure that we are going to have Flooring Mart install our new laminate floors. My husband and I were looking to replace the carpet thru out our home with hard wood or wood looking tile. So this is my very first yelp review and probably my only but I was compelled to do so. I would like to start by saying I had never heard of the flooring mart ,met or even considered a contractor before meeting Ed. We had a neighbor move in across the street and she took a twenty year old home that I was familiar with and used Ed to turn it into an amazing magazine front cover worthy home. I had to know who had made her home look so amazing...that was the day she introduced me to Ed. My husband and I hired Ed and his crew to completely gut and redo the home we had just purchased. From the moment we met Ed he listened so well, really understood what WE would like, our style. He was very up front about costs, and always has great ideas. Our project was intense, it took two months so I feel I know the crew extremely well. Here's what you get when you hire Ed. He is an honest man, he has treated our home as his own even when I tell him don't take your shoes off, he does. Payments are well explained, no hidden costs and he really fights to get us the best price. He genuinely wants us to be happy and if he senses we are not he will go out of the way to make your project beautiful, perfect. He has never said no to the ideas I had, he always took my idea and made it better than I described. I NEVER felt like our project was just about making more money, they really enjoy what they do and their customers. His crew: these guys were in our home for two months. I found them to be hard working, honest, clean cut, sweet, they found a quick solution to all problems, they were family men that I felt comfortable in my home with my children.
