We bought a brand new home, but waned to replace the existing floors installed by the builder. The original floors were a combination of harsh thick tile throughout the house and carpet in the bedrooms. It was a somewhat big project and we wanted to find a reliable company capable of doing it. We researched and interviewed few companies including floor One. During this process we were somewhat shocked to see how many businesses would not even show up after the estimate. In some cases it was hard to even get an estimate. It seemed like nobody was interested in getting our business. At the enwe decided to go with Victor and floor One because he was recommended to us by a local Floor & Decor store, he showed up to the initial appointment on time, gave us a reasonable quote, and followed up with us consistently until we made a decision. One company gave us a quote for $10k more that Victors. We were happy to work with Victor. His crew was always on time. Once the wood floors were complete he brought a tile crew to finish the rest of the floors. He explained to us the difference between laying different types of tile as we chose a high gloss one and it needed to be installed precisely because it shows more than other tiles. We liked Victor's crew so much that we decided to remodel a bathroom too. Very happy with the outcome. Louis who did a lot of tile work for us was very honest, reliable, and knowledgeable. We had a small glitch with Victor during the installation that delayed the completion by a week, but we worked through it. Certain things come up with any big project. We heard so many horror stories when it comes to remodeling. So, we are happy to choose wisely. read more

I used this company to tile my whole house except the bedrooms. Great quality work, even other contractors have commented on how good the tile work is. They did exactly as I asked and were very quick to start, I asked them to do the job on Saturday, the tile was delivered Wednesday and they started on Thursday, very quick. Others have commented that they charge for extras like moving appliances, which is true but they tell you that upfront, no surprise charges. Victor was great to work with, addressed problems quickly, was not pushy about hiring them. The clean up afterwards wasn't great but easy enough for me to do, probably the same with all contractors. read more

Shop Save and Floor came to my house and installed waterproof laminate flooring and new baseboards throughout the house. The office staff, sales person and installers were professional, competent, thorough and knowledgeable. I am so glad that we contracted this company to do our floor project. We had contacted the big box stores, the ones that advertise on tv, the ones that have booths at the big home expos, etc., in all we contacted 14 companies, and were able to obtain 5 bids. The prompt bid from Shop Save and Floor, done by Jed, was the most thorough, complete and professional we received. Magali in the office was professional, helpful and courteous. The company also provided an excellent installation crew with great attention to detail. The installers were highly skilled, competent and hardworking. They were also very considerate and when I asked for a different color transition from the dining room to the living room. They worked with me to change the stark transition already laid down to one that was more blending and attractive. They quickly redid the work with great skill and without complaint. In a few minutes the transition was redone and was even better than I had imagined. The bathroom installation was outstanding. The toilets were removed and replaced with a new wax seal by the team, so the flooring goes under the toilets and they work with no leaks. The baseboards were installed to the intricate rounded corners of the walls with perfectly cut mitered joints that look amazing. The floor installation was worth every penny. Floor One installed our original flooring, had a need to have a few areas redone due to some construction damage unrelated to the flooring. Hired Floor One to do this additional work since we were pleased with the original floor they laid. This second time a different team came to do the work, starting on day 1 they were late and repeated the next day. They clearly took some short cuts because 2 areas required them to glue the flooring down, guessing this was not normal since they had to stop working to go the the hardware store to buy some. Both areas that they glued down are apparent as you look at the floor since they look different are rise a bit over the rest of the flooring. On a good note Gabe, Floor One's sales rep was terrific. We do not want to go through all the effort and upset to our home to have this redone once again so each time I walk by the two areas I think about Floor One. read more

First of all, Floor One quoted the best price. We ran into Crystal Allen at Floor and Decor and she was very nice and always professional. We had quite a bit of work done with two bathrooms remodeled and our entire house done in engineered hardwood flooring. They started with the bathrooms first and I can say the tile installer was one of the best and it took two weeks as promised. Next we had the floor crew come in and they worked tirelessly for 7 days straight and again finished on time. We had the pleasure of meeting Victor the owner and his wife during the process and he was always professional, courteous and stayed in communication with us. I would recommend Floor One to anyone. We were told lots of promises in order to get the job and then found out we had to do all of our own framing. And we have holes in our new tile from the grab bars being drilled in the wrong place after the installer was told where the studs were. We also have to different colored grout lines in our shower because of a cracking in the joints and trying to fix it with caulking. Company has really bad communications problem within their business. You could even find out your job is being sub-contracted out. I would never recommend Floor One LLC to any homeowner. read more

I worked with Chris and Gabe at Floor One. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional from start to finish. After looking at two other bids, they had the best price. They also communicated and followed up with me, answering any questions I had along the way. They even had to grind concrete and prepare the floors using an antifracture membrane. Since I have asthma, I am happy that they use a dustless grinding system the house was clean before and after installation! German, the installer even found a way to sand down our new baseboard and was able to curve it along our curved fireplace, saving us money by not having to buy a special baseboard and also time by not having to come back to finish the work! We replaced 1200 SqFt of carpet with laminate wood flooring which included our family room, guest bedroom, office, stairs and upper landing. Jed was our estimate person. He arrived on time and gave a very detailed list and hand written breakdown of the charges. Unfortunately when I received the Installation Made Easy shopping list it did not include the bullnose pieces needed for the stairs. Turned out it was a special order that would take up to three weeks for delivery. Had I used Jed's list I would have purchases all the needed supplies. They completed the work on the main landing and had to come back to finish the stairs later. Tony was our installation man and his work is Amazing!!! All in all I'm extremely stratified with the work and results from Floor One. read more

This business isn't even worth giving one star. The estimators try to drive up the price up by adding extras that aren't needed. The will tell you that they don't have a minimum installation amount then later lie to you in an attempt to drive up there price. They don't show when they are scheduled. When you call to ask why, they say it there fault. They will make more excuses as to try and to raise the price. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone ever. read more

I recently had Floor One install a brick veneer floor. The floor was installed in a herringbone pattern and turned out great. The installer James Knous did a fantastic job. James was extremely quality aware and a very nice person as well. The job was finished without delays and James always cleaned up before he left. 11/11 Met with Chris Colin Floor One.solicited from Floor& Decor. Chris gave me shower estimate and set up the install date for early morning of the 18th and set up a plumber for 11/19. Job to take 6 days, so took off 6 days of work 18-23rd. Asked me to pick up all the supplies including tile and mud deck which should have been my first clue this job was going south. I'm 130lbs picking up (11) 75lb bags of deck mud, tile etc in my car...seriously? I agreed to pick up bottom tiles and all supplies except wall tiles and deck mud, borrowed a friends car for schluters and ran all over town looking for some since Floor&Decor was out. The tile I picked out 2 weeks ago had been discontinued. I called all over town for the tile, couldn't find and so called to cancel the job, but Chris found it in Tolleson (which happened to be a different dye lot so I had to repaint the bathroom). 11/18...tilers are a no show. At 3pm I called and they didn't have me on the schedule. Nor the plumber. They send out a demo crew 11/19 the next day and schedule the job. I had to find my own plumber at the last minute. Run all over town looking for a drain. 11/20 they send out 1 Non-English speaking installer to do the entire job. Gabe who gets him started never comes by...not one time from start to finish or later to check the job. I try to convey to the installer Chris said they would make every effort to use my existing shower door since tile replacement is same size and door are new. Installer makes zero effort. 2 tiles on my floor get broken so they have to move the shower out an inch or so to cover it. Installs the back wall 3/4" out further so I lose shower space. Puts a hole in my drywall. Pulls the baseboards off and then slaps deck mud on the backs and sticks them back on the wall, allowing a 1/2" gap between the wall and baseboard. Chips out another tile on the floor by the toilet. I have to run back to the store for some extra grout or some such thing...yet I have 7 bags of extra deck mud. 11/22 the installer finishes the job and never comes back the next day to fix the drywall, baseboards, or grout the chipped out space. I called Chris because I have Seven (7) 75 pound bags of extra deck mud to take back to the store. He says he will return them...never shows and I have never heard back from him to this day. 11/31 Since the dye lot is different of this closed out/discontinued tile, I repaint the bathroom. Hire a handyman to fix the baseboards, and putty up the hole in the dry wall. I also have hire him to transport 7 bags of extra deck mud back to the store. 12/5 Now my faucets fixtures are sitting there...so I hire back the plumber. He has to charge me extra because the installer did not cut the tile big enough to put the screws back in. 12/10 I hire a guy to put the shower doors back. And my shower is leaking....not sure where it is coming from. This job has been a NIGHTMARE. I hear later from a reputable tile company their installers will install anyones tile EXCEPT Floor& Decor because their stuff is all discontinued or warped. FLOOR One...run by this "Installation Made Easy" on the East coast...has been anything BUT easy. They seem more interested in collecting money than how the job gets done. Too many people running the show and no workers. One doesn't know what the other is doing. read more

Probably couldn't have been a worse experience in terms of renovating. If you care about quality of workmanship at all- do not use Floor One. Took 3 weeks to complete a 1409 square foot job and there are still things that look terrible but I just couldn't take it anymore. There was zero attention to detail, I'm not sure if it depends on the crew you get but my crew seems to have no professional training. Every time something went wrong they offered to fix it, and then it would just come out worse- or a new problem would arise. After spending upwards of $10,000 on materials and labor this looks like something I could have done better myself. I am most disappointed in the complete laziness and the fact that the workers were okay leaving a job looking like this and feeling proud of it. There were discounts given only in terms of things that were their fault (broken fridge, dents put in brand new walls, garage door hit) there was no discount or even offer for the poor level of workmanship that should definitely NOT command top dollar! Project began at Floor and Decor, we were introduced to a member of the FloorOne team. Made an in home appointment, they arrived on time and provided a quote for the work as well as provided a detailed materials list. Floor and Decor did and excellent job getting the materials all together and ready for delivery. We ended up with 2 different projects, both deliveries went off without any issues. Great staff at Floor and Decor, extremely helpful. Moving onto FloorOne, the overall experience was excellent. Had flooring, new baseboards, granite counter tops, carpet installation,and bathroom remodel completed. Highly qualified staff took great care to ensure we were completely satisfied. This was a terrible experience. I had Howie show up to give me a quote. He was not the most professional. On the quote they try to charge you for every little thing which by the way are not minimal charges (rolling the fridge out was $40. This didn't even include the oven which I was told had to do myself). Then at the end they try to get you to sign a contract that clearly states that you can't cancel after 3 days of the sign date. However he continually told me that I could cancel whenever and that part wasn't true. Well Howie you should probably change your paperwork then. He continues trying to force a deposit out of me. When I further stood my ground and further questioned him he got irritated and grabbed his items and quickly left. I would be very weary of anyone, in particular this company; who practices business like this. read more

A complete headache with so many issues throughout the entire process. I purchased the flooring through Floor and Decor and therefore went through Installation Made Easy as well. There is no communication whatsoever between Floor One and Installation Made Easy. The so called Project Manager (who seems to have numerous complaints) apparently called and left a message at the wrong number to push back my install day the night before, leaving me waiting and wondering the next day as to where the install team was. He then promised to come out the following day at 7am so that my move in was not delayed but sent an email reminder of 7am for the wrong day and then a "correction" of 8:30am for the following day, once again leaving an big unknown about my install. The install team showed up just before 7:30 am and I never had the pleasure of meeting the so called project manager. I also needed additional prep work and was told all the bags would be left behind so that I could see the count for myself. This was never done as promised so I will hope they are being honest and really did need to use 8 bags. It's sad that I have to question the honesty of the company. There were also several issues with my invoice that I am still waiting to be corrected so that I can make my final payment. And I was contacted personally by the installer to pay my bill.......very unprofessional. A discount was applied to my bill for all the hassle but I do not wish for anyone to go through all the unknown and headaches like I did. Choose another company! read more

We had a good experience working with Floor One. Everyone from estimate to installation was on time, responsive, courteous and professional. We replaced 900 sq ft of assorted flooring (carpet / tile with linoleum under the tile / laminate) with premium vinyl plank and all new baseboard. We love the finished product, they did a great job! Our installers were friendly, hard workers that showed up early both days and worked one extra long day to get finished sooner than we expected. They went out of their way to make a change we wanted in the detailing, toward the end of the job, when I am sure they were ready to be finished. My wife and I had just purchased a condo in Tempe and wanted to do some minor renovations. We were blessed to have Ben Parejo as the project manager. Ben exceeded my expectations, which are pretty high. Ben was professional, knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with. He was accessible, organized and able to make quick adjustments when needed. Never heard him complain, was always pleasant under pressure. He set the tone for the installers and they followed suit. They accommodated our timelines and performed with careful detail. The entire crew always wore face masks when on the project. When finished they cleaned up all their construction debris.
