Great experience with Kami this past week. Called him after seeing his reviews on Yelp (of course), and decided to give him a shot. A big part of the reason I chose Kami over the couple of others I called was his availability, I needed my 2 bedrooms in my towns house done as soon as possible as I had to move out of my condo within a week or so and the other providers quoted me two weeks out to get the job done - kami told me he could do it the same week once he saw the job and gave me an estimate. Upon meeting kami at my place, he was suuuuper friendly! Quoted me an extremely fair price (I thought), roughly $2,200 for the labor because I bought the vinyl from Floor and Decor. I hired Kami 2 years ago to pull up travertine tile in my bathroom and installed click and lock flooring. His work was great and there was not a spec of dust even though ripping up travertine is a very dusty project. I recently had the need to pull up tile in my new house but because I thought it was more convenient to have one contractor provide several services I went with another contractor. This was a mistake. The contractor I selected did not take the same care to protect my property from dust and I regret my choice. We recently replaced approximately 1500 square feet of carpet and slate with laminate flooring and couldn't be happier with Kami. After receiving multiple quotes from large stores which provided terrible customer service, lengthy lead times and a much higher price we were relieved to find an alternative with Kami. Kamis TL Flooring. Excellent service. After four years of looking at flooring options for our 24 year old home, chatting with and obtaining quotes from big box, little box stores, vendors...and of course going through several decor phases (gee...wood, wood look, luxury laminate, variety of tile options?) we settled on a stone look tile...5+ pallets from Floor & Decor and contracted with Kamis TL Flooring. We are slow. LOL. We are at the tail end of this intense 2 week project. Base boards are going in on Monday. Kambiz is very professional, polite and a perfectionist. We are so pleased and can't wait to put everything back and clean off the light layer of dust. We are going for minimalist decor. The flooring is that beautiful. We did not move out. Hmmmm. The demo day was active with seven men, jack hammers, cement grinders and ultra large vacuums, screaming dog, screaming kids and terrified cats. We holed up in bare cement floor bedroom when one became available... with 4 pets. Quite the experience. All in all, well worth the experience. read more
