The team at Legend Flooring is the best! I've trusted them with two different houses now, and they've been excellent throughout the entire process. Most recently, we experienced a flood on our first floor and needed to replace all of our flooring. The restoration company recommended another contractor, but I insisted on having Legend Flooring handle the job. I'm so glad I did. Mike, our primary point of contact, was incredibly consultative and often pointed out things that ultimately helped us with our entire rebuild. Legend installed Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) in our main rooms, carpet in a bedroom, and new tile in our bathroom. They also handled all the new baseboards. Everything came together beautifully. It was also reassuring that the overall cost for the project was very much aligned with the reimbursement from our insurance company. Mike and the Team at Legend were absolutely top notch! Until we made the down deposit. They cancelled within 24 hours of the job starting due to their contractor not being able to make it as scheduled. They then found another subcontractor that they had never worked with to start the job the following week. The "other contractor" was just two kids which I'm guessing were pulled off from another job. This job took place at the end of 2021 and to this day we are still dealing with warranty issues, which Mike and Doug refuse to fix correctly and continue to band aid. Their team backed their trailer through my neighbors yard, loaded with tile and broke her sprinkler head. Mikes answer "not his problem". The kids would pour their residual mud out on my rocked walkway to the backyard, which would harden into a large slab, taking our stone with it. My problem though, silly me. They absolutely annihilated our baseboards during removal of the carpet and installation of the tile. After a few rounds of back and forth with Mike, he agreed to have a painter come out and touch them up for 15 minutes, which, and I quote, "came at considerable cost to them". I still had to clean the mud off the walls and appliances though. We paid hundreds if not thousands extra for "dustless" tile removal, and for the toilet to be removed/reinstalled along with the washer and dryer. After the tile was removed, our kitchen was absolutely covered in a thick layer of dust. Mike told me "it's a construction zone, that happens" and was told they would not be cleaning it. The two kids reinstalled the toilet, incorrectly. The wax seal leaked and the toilet wasn't installed straight nor bolted down tight enough. We paid roughly ~$300 to have an actual plumber come out and fix it, after already paying Legend. Again, two kids, not a plumber or competent employee. Washer and dryer? Left in the garage. Called Mike and he said he would send them back out. One guy shows up and there was no dolly or blankets. The guy dragged the appliances across brand new tile and dinged up the washers door against the door frame. I forget the term, but the tile has some sort of "super sharp, super straight" edges that allow for smaller than normal grout lines, but since the tiles were laid at various heights, you can literally cut your foot walking around barefoot. After time though, you learn where not to step. Since the install, grout has continued to fall out in pieces. The last repair involved a guy who just filled the gaps and didn't prep the area at all. To our bewilderment, the grout continues to fall out. The majority of my disappointment falls on the fact that we have been thrown into the "you win some, you lose some" group. I composed a long email with all of the issues we experienced and sent it along with the final payment. Mike replied with a "Thanks for the feedback". The owner of Legend, Doug, never reached out. Neither of them has ever bothered to come see the final product. I'm sure Legend flooring usually does great work and we are the exception, but they don't stand behind their contractors and that's a big risk to take as a customer. Wish we would have taken the cheaper quote from Home Depot. read more

I trusted Legend Flooring with a major project in my Gilbert home. It involved all first floor flooring (demo and install), along with kitchen backsplash and complete tile work of two bathrooms. Doug, Wendy and Mike were all awesome throughout the process. To back up, I had done research with other contractors prior to finding them. When I did go to the store to get estimates, I felt their material and labor costs were very fair based on my previous research. They all went above and beyond when it came to helping with design decisions, working around the schedule of a GC I was working with for cabinets, and checking in on the home throughout the process. Full disclosure. I didn't use Legend for my install because I didn't purchase flooring through them. However, if I could've I would have. I called for a second opinion on the practices being used by my installer. They took the time to explain proper procedure and made me feel better that things were going the way they should. We have been waiting for a few years to replace our tile and I wish I would have done this sooner!! Wendy and Doug were great and very pleasant. We had tile and base boards installed and needed our bedroom carpets tacked down. Each team (demo, baseboards and tile) was great - they worked hard. Our floors were just completed and they look awesome. Thanks to Doug and Wendy for the great experience. Three weeks from first payment to scheduling to completion. We did a whole house transformation shy of our master bedroom and master bath. We love our wood grain tile, our decorative tile and our carpet. We sort of wish we had changed our our master carpet but since we lived in our master bedroom while this all happened, in the future. Oh we had tile throughout our house a 12x12 white tile with brown lines marbles through it circa 2002. So imagine the surprise on how well the filter removal worked, it was worth the smaller extra cost per square foot. We have found a bit of dust in cabinets but compared to what it could have been we are so happy. Amazing company! The process of purchasing the flooring we wanted was wonderful. I took home so many samples over and over to find what fit the best. Mike was a pleasure to work with and patient with me. The day of demo and install they were on time and explained the process well. It was quick and done well. They were cheaper than 3 other business we had requested quotes from, and they explained the whole process to my husband and I thoroughly. We recently had Legend Flooring replace the tile in our home. From start to finish the experience has been great! The owner, Doug, came over and gave us a quote right there and then. No waiting. He was very honest and professional. A week later we put down the deposit and the install was scheduled not long after. The group of guys that came to remove our old tile were very professional and clean. They made sure to cover our cabinets and other things that couldn't be moved to minimize the dust from the demolition. The tile installers were equally as wonderful to work with. They were so polite and respectful of our home. My husband works from home and the guys were never loud or disruptive and you would hardly know they were there. They explained things to us throughout the project and stayed on track with the timeline we were given. The end product turned out phenomenal! These guys took their time and did a fantastic job. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS. Didn't want to spend the time with a person doing a "small order". I called to inquire about a specific tile yesterday and spoke to Wendy (owner's wife). She was very nice and took my order, called the supplier and called me back to let me know the supplier (deltile) had it on hand and I can pick up ASAP. I went a head and called her back today to process the order and spoke to Mike (4 weeks on the job), he didn't know how to process a PO (all good..he's new). Asks if he can call me back. It felt weird!! So I called deltile and found out that they don't have my product and it needs to be ordered. Wendy calls me after I ask Mike to double check what he's ordering since I'm getting a discrepancy on availability, she asks me to send her a pic of the label on the box, I sent. Doug (owner) calls me back, starts to down talk me a bit, tells me we refunded your payment and explains that there's no way I can get the same tile and that it can be a bit off (which I agree to a certain degree) and that he has been in the tile business for 25 years and has owned this company for 21. I start to cut him since I'm tied up a bit and he says "normally people appreciate me giving this info!!!" He suggests I take a piece of the tile I have and go down to his supplier to ensure I get the right tile. I tell him that I spoke to his supplier earlier and they can get it. He calls them and calls me back and says I sent you a new order. I notice from the info that he has the wrong size. I tell him do you mind if we call them together to confirm we're getting the right one and that I also need to add 2 more boxes. He says "now you want me to start the po over?!" I tell him that I'm a buyer and he's a seller, so he has an option to sell, if he doesn't, so be it!! He says fine.. (sounded like my child when I ask him to do something he doesn't want to do). Then he says I can't invest anymore time on this since he has several POs in his hand and I'm making a "small purchase". I tell him now you said the wrong words and I will not buy from him... he hangs up on me. Funny that I called deltile after they ordered everything I need and confirmed that my info is correct. Doug felt that I'm a small client because of my purchase. What this "25 years of experienced business owner" doesn't know is that I'm an investor with a lot of experience and own quite a bit of properties and have plenty of jobs coming; which he lost out on. During these uncertain times, be nice to ur customer Mr. Experience!! You're lucky you have jobs going now...take the time to take care of clients...you never know who you're dealing with!! I don't recommend this business at all!!!! You didn't make me "feel" like a small client... Doug told me "he didn't have time to deal with my small order". Thanks but no thanks... I called your supplier and got the order completed in 4 min... not sure why it was taking you guys 7 hours... good luck! read more

We had a flooring project that we originally went to Legend to have quoted. I ended up going with another company. I love to use small businesses and this other business seemed pretty hungry for the job (though they weren't cheaper or anything, Legend was priced very reasonably). We ended up having serious regrets. So many things they did that ended up driving up the cost of the project. Fast forward to our next project and we went right back to Legend and it was perfect. Cost exactly what we were quoted and they even got it done in one day instead of the quoted two. Prices are super reasonable and they'll help out with design also, if you need it. We used Legend Flooring to rip out some carpet in our new house, replace it with tile and install plantation shutters. There were two significant challenges to the tile installation: a curved wall and how to transition between existing bathroom tile and the darker color we chose for the bedrooms. Unbelievable cutting for the tile against the curve, it's perfect, see picture. For the color transitions, Doug Lentz, the owner designed a bespoke mosaic which mixed both, producing something truly lovely. The shutters are so wonderful! This place is the way to go. We had a great experience from start to finish. We just bought a home in Gilbert and were in desperate need of new carpet before I would even stay the night there lol. Doug and Wendy were so wonderful to deal with at Legend Flooring. I can not say enough about the crew that came in to put the wood plank tile in our home. We had the main floor, approx 3,000sqft, of our home done while our family took up residence in our basement. The remediation company we originally hired refused to do the repairs for the money my insurance company allotted so we were forced to hire separate contractors to make the repairs.
