I needed to extend exiting tile installed 4 years ago by a different company to other parts of my home (master bedroom, walk-in closet and office). I had additional tile for them to use. They matched it up perfectly, executed as promised and left the place 100% clean. The entire process was so easy: I measured the room and sent pictures. I got a bid with-in hours and they schedule my install. They showed up on time, were very courteous and talked through any issues they encountered. He talked me through the process and the quote and responded quickly to my email and texts. The actual laying of the flooring took under 5 hours but had to be split over two mornings because when the old carpet came up, the floor was uneven. Denis was prepared with a fix, pouring leveler and the next morning he and his father (a real family business) efficiently and skillfully finished the job. We are very pleased with the end result.

I wanted a quality install and was pretty particular about details like transitions to tile, baseboards, that I wanted to pull out old carpet, I was ordering the materials, etc. Paul and Daniel knew exactly what I was referring to regarding smooth transitions and immediately said "no problem" after others gave me a whole song and dance. They also provided a professional, accurate, and detailed estimate while clearly telling me what might cost more once they get in there (e.g. leveling the floor). Other companies either gave me really rough verbal estimates or overly specific (& wrong) estimates. Communication with the guys is fantastic. The work was done with the kind of craftsmanship I expected from my meticulous grandpa (that is.. they know what they're doing and do it properly!) The guys work fast, thoroughly, are kind and easy to have around. I had feedback on two small things while they worked.. no problem, they resolved them quickly and without issue. We went into the store and talked to Cosimo. He was easy to talk to, explained the pros and cons of different surfaces, and answered all of our questions. As soon as the product was in, we were contacted and scheduled the work to be done. The job was replacing three bedrooms with laminate, however after they pulled up the carpeting, they found two spots that needed to be leveled. This was done quickly and didn't end up adding any time to the job, they actually finished before they said they would be done, even with the extra work that needed to be done to level and grind down the concrete! Cosimo and his crew were excellent to work with and I honestly would encourage you to reach out to them if you are thinking about changing floors OR if you need ideas/suggestions! The customer service rep was pleasant, polite, and accommodating. We were quickly shown suitable samples of berber carpeting in our desired colors, quality, and price point. Our order was written up quickly and we were given an installation date. We were called the day before to confirm installation and an appropriate time. Luis showed up alone to install the carpet which was for a 15' x 17' room. We learned that Luis had been installing for 35 years (since he was a teenager). Luis was both polite and efficient. We are very happy with the finished product which are in the pictures below.

The shelf needed some custom trim work done to match the wood stain and overall design. I asked for a "built in" look for the bookshelf given its large size, so it feels like a main feature in the room. From start to finish, Eric exceeded my expectations for the project. He was a pleasure to work with, very responsive to my requests, and fairly priced for the work he did. The fact that he has a design background in addition to carpentry skills set him apart from other woodworkers and "handymen" in the area. (I hate to even throw that handyman term out in relation to Eric because he is truly an artist!!!) The bookshelf repair and custom trim project took a couple of weeks total to complete as he squeezed me into his schedule between larger jobs, but the work turned out perfectly and was totally worth the wait! Eric did some of the work on site at my home (measuring and cutting), but completed other aspects at his own workshop (staining and fine details), before returning to do the final install. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. Their sales rep Matt is so unresponsive to emails. They sent a painter to come inspect our cabinets and he said fixing them would not be a problem. Then months later he shows up and only touched up a few things. He left spots of paint on our walls and countertops and still left outstanding issues because he said it was not their fault. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company.
