Back in April, we started to look at ideas and materials for a bathroom remodeling project we were getting ready to undertake. We happened in to Floor & Decor on a rainy Saturday. We didn't have an appointment but lucked in to have Renee help us because she had a cancellation. What a delight Renee is! She was a godsend - sharing her knowledge and suggestions because we asked for any advice we could get. She took a cart around and picked up some sample tiles that we liked and then helped us place an order once we made our final decisions. The prices seemed very reasonable and everything was in stock except for the vanity, but we weren't ready to receive that until after the tile and shower was built and installed. I shop at the Floor and Decor in Wylie, TX. I've been there several times lately The service is always good, as are the prices, but the last time I got exceptional, above-and-beyond help from Mindy. She climbed a ladder and searched through boxes for me to find the trim pieces I needed. For a lousy few dollars, tiles purchased as as a sample were denied to be returned within a week of purchase. The moment I asked for the MOD, "Logan" came in and no questions asked returned it with a smile. I have been a Texas Licensed Realtor and also do ReModel, renovate properties. At the Dallas Alberta location. I met Raymond Gager here about a year ago, he is a senior guru for Floor and Decor ! He recently assisted me on my second major project that involved tile. He walked me through the entire process, including the selection of materials. Being a DYI kind of person, you need all the important info that he has to offer. I honestly could have not succeeded on two projects, professionally done if it wasn't for Ray. I love the choice of inventory. But lately the service has been dirt. We placed an order at the Dallas store for next day pickup. The tile I ordered showed 36 boxes in stock. I called to make sure it was ready for pickup as I had not received the email and I was told it was out of stock and being ordered from another store no idea when they would get it. I ordered in store but next day pickup on another house in the Plano and two days later had to wait two hours while they started to assemble the order. If you want your order, go to the store and pick it yourself or wait until he'll freezes over. Our orders are large orders, this is not cool. read more

When I came to return Mrs Miasha just refused to take tiles then approached Alex a hispanic gengleman half hair cut he took my phone number and he said he dont see I bought it from here. I requested and told I bought it from here and he spent a long time and saying none of these he dont see I bought. The I come back and research all my receipt and went back and there was anorheer lady found all of my items and took return but the Alex liad and refused to take return. I spent almost 2 hours because of hjs liarness. It is very pathetic after working whole day came to return and Alex gave me bad and very hard time. I purchased a large number of tiles as part of a remodel of my home. Tiles were needed for the bathrooms, kitchen, and dining room. Several of the tiles became damaged over time and I was told the tiles were no longer available even though I had made my last purchase only 2 years ago. There was also nothing similar that would in any way work. I was contacted by Seth at The Colony store and he was able to locate the tiles I needed in another state and ordered them for me. In addition, he gave me an excellent deal on the replacements. I'm having them installed in the next week or so. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store. The project on my bathroom took longer than expected. This was out of my control. When I went to take back the leftover supplies. They would not let me return them they only would give me a store credit since it was longer than 90 days. I do not need a store credit because all my projects are done. I have no use for anything in the store at this time. I asked the girl to please send over the manager. He was a smug little dorky dude with a ponytail that was braided.I wish I got his name. Very rude and dismissive of me. I will try to resell this gift card because I will never step foot in that place again. And I do not recommend anyone. Not helpful at all. Update ! Another store manager reached out to me today and was able to give me a refund on my credit card. Super nice guy. I will definitely return there now that they have done this. placed an order fir 11 boxes of wall tile with clerk name is Summer - she was smug and unhelpful. the plano location did not have enough to fill the order so she placed the order up pick up in Dallas . What she didn't explain is only one box was in Dallas and we had to pick up the rest of the order in Plano . she never explained that and let me believe the whole order was in Dallas. she had plenty of opportunity to let me know and chose to be smug and let me waste all morning chasing down tile I had already purchased my company does a fair amount of business with floor & decor. usually the sales clerks are friendly and helpful - not this clerk. Buyer Beware. HORRIBLE SERVICE So this is how it started. Being new to the area, we were referred to F&D for our renovation needs. Made appointment online with design consultant. That was easy enough. Few visits and my order was done. NOW here are where ALL the issues began. 1.) needed few changes to order. I called every day for 10 days...NO ONE picks EVER....NO ONE returns calls EVER. Had to make trip down to store and wait for help 2.) Sent contractor there to pick up items. Made him wait for an 1 1/2hr and ended up not releasing order to him...have no clue why. 3.) Missed SEVERAL items on my order when we were finally able to pick up. Called again and obviously no one picked up. Went down again. Spoke to customer service. I was there an hour. Told them my issues. Promised to get back to me. Heard back, and they said they found the MANY items around the delivery areas that said were given to me, but weren't....EXCEPT one which they said there is video proof of them loading it. I asked for "proof". Still haven't received it. I figured out the mystery. They gave me the wrong product, which apparently is "said" item missing. 4.) Was promised a call back from design consultant and manager which has NOT come. My issue not solved. I again went down, EXTREMELY pissed off. Waited close to another hour to speak to yet another manager, who has the nerve to come and tell me "oh we can't give you items" till we get what's ours is back...EXCUSE ME????? Told her she can come get her stuff, and I want what I paid for. She told me they'd come come pick up and deliver my remaining items. Gave me her number, and yet promised again that I could contact her direct. Still no resolution to my issue. Have called her and texted 2x....NO RESPONSE....so now I have to take another trip down and find my items 5.) SEVERAL items pricked up are broken 6.) Wrong items delivered Bottom line....I will NEVER EVER go here under any circumstances. I understand businesses are busy, lack staff...BUT my experience here is just not acceptable. This company has a very big sense of humor. The store in Mesquite did not have enough of the tile we needed so that told us we could drive to Denton TX to pick it up. We did we needed this particular tile for our customer. We have extra tile to return but they will not take the tile back in Mesquite TX because they don't have any and its been discontinued. They don't have any because I purchased it all from them. They are telling me I have to drive back to Denton just to get any type of a refund. I will not be back with any of my customers. read more

This location has the worst customer service. I came to pickup an order placed by my company. The girl at the counter was rude and unprofessional. Told me to go talk to the warehouse manager like she didn't want to deal with a customer. i asked him what was going on and he said he would talk to her. As he was loading up my order he overheard me speaking to my office manager over phone asking her to order from another location moving forward. The warehouse manager told me we don't want you coming back anyway. I have always recommended floor and decor to my customers bc what they have on display will be in stock no wait time but it's not worth dealing with bad Customer service. One of the worst home improvement shopping experiences ever! First, the pics on Yelp look nothing like the store dirty, nasty and low inventory Plano, TX store. Second, while there are number of people walking around with F&D red jackets, NONE are working good luck on trying to find someone to help you with a selection. Third , when you did find someone be prepare for NOT MY JOB nonsense. Fourth, purchased nearly $2,500 in product only to arrive at the cashier who turned his back to while texting on his cell phone (Tyler) who was repeatedly reminded that he was on duty on working to please stop texting to provide his attention. All to NO avail Tyler continued to text on his phone through the entire 30 painful transaction. Review your store cameras F&D. Fifth, speaking of transaction there were no less then 6 calls for service to pull the product ALL of which fell on deaf ears. Sixth, paid for product place on hold then after some consideration cancelled the entire order. WILL NOT reward or pay for poor customer service in a dirty, nasty, less then customer friendly store where people lack supervision, management leadership or value customers! Will not return too many other vendors willing to MATCH PRICE with a better customer service experience! Complaint filed with F&D HQ but good luck on trying speak with human. In bound toll-free unable to tap out of F&D menu hell to speak with a human, unable to leave a message, get call back or anything the resembles average (nevertheless good customer service). No one available for chat service (AI only) NO human contact. Overall a horrible experience. Sad case study on how to run customers away to other vendors and stores. read more

This place has a lot of flooring choices at reasonable prices. There is a good selection between economy and high end products. I found the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable. Especially when we were finally ready to buy, Akilah really took good care of us, helping to load the cart, load my truck, keep track of all the various items we selected including the quantity so we could breeze through the checkout. Even calling another store and having them reserve the remainder of our order, which we pre-paid, so picking it up was a breeze. We spent around $1,000.00 for this project, and I used them in Mesquite for a rental rehab as well, and that was a positive experience too. Bought quite a bit of product from this store for a remodel. The order was never delivered and I kept calling and calling to check on the status of my order. Never once did they answer the phone. You have to physically go up there to talk to someone. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. It doesn't matter what day or time you call, they're not available. Never answered the phone once in a whole month... but they sure were able to charge my credit card. I don't know what other kind of fraudulent business practices are going on over there... but there's too much competition. Don't waste your time, money, and energy here. That in it self was a great start off for me. How ever the Shipment ran into some unexpected shipping problems where I tho thought I wouldn't get my items On time. An i was so happy I dealt with Letecia from the very Start. we were in contact regarding the shipping issues. Even on her off day. Letecia was Ready and willing to help me through it all. Floor & Decor was recommended by my contractor as the place to check out for tile and supplies for my new bathroom. I was able to save some money by shopping for and buying the supplies myself, and F&D actually will store your stuff for free for 14 days until your contractor can come pick it up! That worked out great. I was able to get the shower wall tile, grout, schluter, and a couple other things for my contractor. The employees were helpful and accommodating. After my shower was finished, they even took my extra materials and I got a bit of money back! That was great service. I'll be back when I have another project requiring tile. read more

Lol My husband and I spent like 10 minutes trying to find pricing till we looked up and realized they have it hanging about 15 ft above each pallet. It can be hard to find someone to help you. The floor person and seller or whatever she is Karen was her name is super rude. She was so up in a bunch over an appointment that was over 15 min late. It seemed to bother her to help us. Typical person whose bother by Spanish speakers. The way she would look at us when we spoke Spanish was so nasty. Once her appointment arrive maybe 25+ late she was eager to get rid of us. Basically forced us to buy something in a rush. We're in need of the tile and whatever we needed asap but I'm not satisfied with the service we got. It was rush. It seemed to bother her we were asking for help. She was so different with the people that came late to her appointment in contrast to us. We replaced the tub and small shower in our master bathroom for a large shower. Pat Jackson did an excellent job in helping us pick out the tile and grout for our master shower. Professionals installed 1000 sq ft Whistling Hills Rigid Core Luxury Vinyl Plank - Cork BackNuCore Performance product at my home in Dec'20. I spent total of $6630.54 for product and professional installation. This product claims being waterproof and comes with 25 years of residential warranty. This product has started warping and chipping off. (please see the enclosed pictures) Customer service at Floor & Decor is offering to settle for $960 which is not acceptable to me. Since this 1000 sq.ft area is continuous, I cannot fix floor in parts. It is only fair for me to expect 100% claim settlement. Also, I noticed now that Floor and Decor does not have way to allow any product reviews from customers on its website (unlike its competitors). read more
