In the past 3 weeks I have ordered a ton of material from this store and made many trips for pick up. Every single time I went to pick up my order I had issues. The receiving team seems to not care if you wait for hours while they stand around. When I got an order of 35 boxes of flooring it took close to two hours for them to get and then once I got home and started unloading I realized half of the order was the wrong color. Had to load it back up and drive back so they could give me the correct flooring. Then proceeded to make me wait another hour to make it right. You guys really need to reevaluate your receiving workers because they seem to not care at all about your customers time or there job. read more

Floor & Decor was my go to floor place for over 20 years, I am an independent contractor. Last month I I placed an order for approximately 16000$ in tile. After completing all tile in a new house I am building today I took the remaining tile back to the store. I took in a total of 4 - full boxes of large tile that comes 4 to the box and 2 partial boxes all tile was still in prefect condition. The store manager informed me that they only take full boxes now but only if the boxes still looked in new condition. And two of the full boxes I brought in had some water damage, so out of all the tile I brought back he would only refund me for the 8 pieces in the boxes that looked new. He said no one would buy tile out of an open box. I informed him I have bought individual pieces of tile on many occasions. He said its new store policy, I explained that as a small business owner, their new policy would force me to do business elsewhere, due to I couldn't take a loss on every job, on left over tile not needed. He told me I could keep the pieces of un-returnable tile. So I guess I could start a collection of small portions of mix matched left overs in my garage, just to take up space. Needless to say that is the last tile I buy from floor & decor. Lowe's, Home Depot and Cosco all still take individual tiles and flooring back. BTW the manager said you can still buy individual tiles from the store and the store is full of open partial boxes. read more

You can't get questions answered, my orders were messed up, when you call you are left on hold forever and numerous times I stayed on hold a long time then was disconnected. No one wanted to be helpful. The employees I dealt with simply don't care about customer service at all. read more

I could not be happier with my experience at Floor and Decor. My contractor recommended I go there for tile for my bathroom remodels. I made an appointment with design services after going on my own and feeling totally overwhelmed by all of the choices. My initial appointment had to be rescheduled by the designer so I was a little worried how it was going to go. Renee Hunter was my designer and she could not have been more helpful. I never felt pressured to buy anything and I loved her suggestions. I feel sure she could have recommended a more expensive product than what I actually chose but she was more concerned that I picked what I wanted. When I returned to the store to actually buy what we selected, I went in not knowing how much I needed to buy. I had measurements from my contractor and Belen was a godsend. She made me feel so comfortable in an area that I have absolutely no knowledge. I wish every store I shopped at had such good customer service! I will be back in a couple of weeks to buy my flooring (already picked out what I want) and I will be looking to see if Belen is working that day. As a woman, it was nice to be helped by a female employee. Sometimes male employees have a habit of being dismissive or condescending to female customers and I felt so comfortable working with her. read more

I spend close to $8,000 at this location. I am a good customer. The employees at this location are professional. Their return policies are anything but professional. BUYER BEWARE. 1) after your purchase you have 90 days to make a return, unless they have decided to no longer carry this item, then you are SOL. 2) if you attempt to return your items in excellent condition, still in their original condition, still in stock items after 90 days, they REFUSE to return them or give a store credit. This my friends, means you truly must be an amateur in the remodeling business and this must be who they are attempting to cater to. What remodeling professional only buys supplies for a room or two at a time, if you are doing an entire house??? Guess what, remodeling an entire house takes far more then 90 days. Apparently, when you make your purchases, this is what they are banking on. Yes, I spoke to a cashier manager, a store manager, and someone in corporate. I must say, corporate was "incredibly" helpful. A woman in India asked for my return reference number, only to repeat store policy, once again. She informed me I could file a dispute, she would forward me an email to initiate the paperwork. That was 3 hours ago, apparently it isn't coming. In addition, she informed me they had NO ONE in a supervisory capacity in the corporate office that I could speak with, they didn't have supervisors. Um, what???? read more

Major bathroom remodel and I struggled with tile selection until I came to this store. A great selection at all price points. Ellie Kiefer helped me complete my selections; we had picked out the shower tile and struggled to determine what looks best, quality, easy maintenance, etc. Ellie took the time to show different options at different price points, no pressure to buy or select any certain item. The on-site staff is helpful, courteous and willing to help; one floor clerk helped tracked down a specific tile that was just lying around! Ebony the cashier was quick and efficient and courteous. Our only complaint: same pattern tiles should be placed together. Example, if there are different sizes or sheens to one type, place them together. Cesari Bianco had polished and matte, some of which were different sizes (24 x 24 vs 12 x 24); Had to go between 2 different aisles to track them all down to determine a final selection. read more

Worst experience we've ever had. Spent $10k on flooring, glue, TM's and stair noses. We waited over 3 weeks (they were a week late) for the stair noses that the saleswomen said we needed, which were the most expensive, and they didn't even match. She also had us purchase twice as much glue as we needed, took advantage of the fact that we were first time home owners. Our upstairs is uninhabitable due to their mistake. I don't write reviews, positive or negative at all, but this has been that bad of an experience that I felt I had to. DON'T USE THEM. Better service elsewhere. read more

After spending time picking out our backsplash, grout, sticking materials and a sealer with brush. Then taking to the cashier ALL your systems went down and we were told to come back tomorrow? Really? NO BACKUP PLAN FOR THESE TYPES OF OUTAGES????. We went to our car mad and then I decided to go back in just in case they got up and running again and they did. I went to Floor & Décor shopping for bathroom tiles and the associated materials for a shower remodel. I was able to find the tiles I needed at a great price, but I wasn't sure where to find the remaining items as the "8 minutes until close" announcement echoed through the aisles. A store representative/manager, Ryan, came walking down the aisle carrying an oversize tile and said, "looks like you're on a mission." He asked what I was trying to find, then walked me to the aisle to locate the appropriate materials needed based on the job type and size. He also offered a few pro tips to save and make the job more efficient. Once I was ready to go, Ryan offered to help me load up the materials and continued to provide insightful wisdom. Ryan exemplified what a successful customer engagement should be. Not only did Ryan provide exemplary assistance when most are just ready to go home, he shared insightful knowledge to help me accomplish my goals. This experience will drive customer loyalty and I'll be back as I continue to renovate the remaining apartment units that I have scheduled to complete this year. Great job Ryan! read more

Cannot give a Zero else I would. Customer service is nonexistent. We were there for 35 minutes at 4:30 on a Monday. Employees just wandering around and when we asked for help we were told "no my area, I'll go get someone. Or "so and so is in the back sends someone to get them. There were other customers looking for help too. As we were leaving we saw the first person who was going to send somebody and she said " I just told him and he was on his way. " ummm we didn't pass anyone and that was 20 minutes ago. We left. If we want bad service we can go to Home Depot and save money. read more

We've come here so many times and love the selection and pricing. We didn't know what we wanted the first time but we came to find plank flooring. We talked to a friend of ours and he suggested we think about vinyl plank. What isn't too like about vinyl plank? It's water proof, just as indestructible and priced within reason. You don't have to put down a underlayment and it looks just as great. Seriously. So we installed it in our house and now that we have a rental space, we installed it there. Only great things to say about it and we got it from floor & decor. read more

During the Covid-19 we were in the middle of our mastter bath remodel. They never shut down and we're able to process all of our orders over the phone. They are pros! I'm still in the planning stage, but I have nothing but praise for the excellent service Karen J. at the Plano store has provided. She took all my scattered thoughts and preferences and added her wisdom about product and placement. With great patience, Karen literally walked me through all their selections. To my delight, she shaped all my muddle into two beautiful design concepts that I love. I've extremely stressed as my builder has been pressuring me about product decisions. Unfortunately, being builders and not designers, they weren't much help with the particulars. My daughter spoke highly of the design assistance she'd gotten at the store when she was renovating her home. I'm so glad I took her advice to use their resources. I'll update my review as I've got lots more product to choose, but for now, I give them an A++. read more

From the moment I walked in (I think they could tell I was a bit out of my element) they walked over to me and answered all my questions. Terrible after market service not to mention the so called "experts" are not all experts in subject matters. I bought a very cheap quality bamboo floor highly recommended by someone at Floor and Decor, I filed a claim but Floor and Decor does not seem to care. I wouldn't even give them a star. I wasted a lot of money thinking their recommendation was the best and their product was high quality, now I will have to replace all the floor and can't get Floor and Decor's support. I needed a specific tile to match some that had been damaged. I was delighted when I found it and ordered it online from the Floor and Decor website to pick up at the Plano location. Not only did the store not acknowledge the online order, I found out from the corporate customer care line that the Plano store actually sold the product the day I was supposed to pick it up to someone who walked into the store. The tile is now out of stock and Floor and Decor cannot order more from the manufacturer. Additionally, the manager of the store has yet to return my calls. So... Basically calling ahead and checking inventory is pointless. It's a tile & flooring roulette wheel. Always a half-dozen employees waiting around watching contractors wait at the register for the computer to tell them they "may wanna go to Arlington to pick it up" It's like the entire point of keeping accurate inventory is lost with this company. I won't comment on their pricing or selection:: because any positive or negative comment is moot. They are brain-dead. 6 months ago shopping here was a horrible experience. But we went back because we had one more room to go and wanted the matching floors. This time the experience was wonderful. I went in twice and was helped by Fitz and Chuck. They were spectacular. Knowledgeable about the product. Reminded me of extras and helped me get the car loaded safely. Came here to buy some laminate flooring for my house. We adopted a puppy so our floors are in desperate need of replacing. Scott, the flooring expert, was easy to work with and helped us with placing our order and finding the right underlayment to go with the floors. We knew what we wanted and it was really easy to place our order. The flooring we chose was a special order so we have to wait 14 business days to recieve it. The customer service girl didn't know much about their price match policy when we asked. We were in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. read more

This store is what it markets itself to be. A discount flooring store. You get what you pay for. We've been able to secure inexpensive tile for some projects that have worked out well. I do agree with prior posters that: A) make sure you get more than enough of what you want because odds are you won't find it there again B) customer service is lacking. You have a 50/50 shot of finding someone helpful when you need them. Again, you get what you pay for. So if you go in knowing what to expect you shouldn't be disappointed. If you go in expecting designer experience at discount pricing, you will be disappointed. read more

We are doing a bathroom remodel and I scheduled a "free design consultation " with the Plano store. Schedule appointment was 9:30-10:30. Waited for 40 minutes and the designer still didn't show up. Talked to a cashier and what I think was one of the managers but the only thing I got is "she is running late". No sense of urgency whatsoever or try to reschedule or find a solution. Wow...just because it's "free" doesn't mean you can waste people's time, and I am a paying customer, I got all my wood floors from you guys and trying to spend more money on a remodel. This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. Thoroughly disappointed, never coming back to this location. read more

They wonder around, don't ask if they can help and there is never enough people at the checkout and you have to wait forever to buy anything. Also the "designers" are a joke, they are uneducated on the products and aren't available half the time. Great source for real stone products at incredible prices. We have remodeled two bathrooms and our kitchen with Floor and Decor stone products. They offer a fine selection in a large variety of materials, shapes and sizes. Inventory changes often, so stop in periodically to see what is new. Also, once you find something you like buy it, and buy enough of it as stone is unique... and as such, product might vary by lot. Their return policy is great, and I've never had a problem returning anything as long as it was returned within their 30 day return window. Design consultants are often available for an opinion on your direction. There are three locations in the metroplex so you can often find product at an alternate location if the one closest to you is out. They have good displays using their products that provide design inspiration. Check-out attendants are friendly. Staff is not always available or knowledgable and the quality of the product is good but not premium grade. Overall, nice selection with great prices. read more

So this place is also good for any sort of flooring you need. They have everything. Their tile selection is amazing they've got tile that looks like wood, rock or anything else you can think of. The only reason I'm giving them 3 instead of 5 stars is for two reasons. Their funky return on leftover material policy and their prices. Mind you you can still return stuff and the explain it really well to you and it works it's just really odd the way they do it. that's all. Beyond that it's a great place to go shop if you're starting a new project in the house. We just bought some tile and some trim work from there nothing spectacular but they do have some pretty amazing stuff we'll probably be returning for when the house starts getting worked on again. read more
