Dude!!! These guys…read moredeserve 10 gazillion stars. I had been searching all around the metroplex for a company that would simply replace my natural gas post grill (can you say retro, anyone?) with a newer NG post grill. I was referred to many plumbers who simply said, "No Way, Jose!" due to the fact that my old copper line was something they weren't going to touch. Um, ok. The other guys who would come and do it wanted my first born child and my right arm--hence way too much money-- to complete the job. I finally found Borchardt's, and I am so glad I did! They came right on schedule, were super reasonable (less than half of their competitors, and I could keep my baby) and were out of my backyard (love y'all, but ya got to GO!) within an hour and a half. They did not leave until I was 110% satisfied with their installation, and they took the time to have a personal conversation with me about grilling and other gassy topics! I will even use them to replace my fireplace gas logs in the future. Thanks, guys!

With hand lighting the grill it did not produce enough heat to cook for Super Bowl guests. For a service call for first hour of work to come back out they want $260! For grill work! Never got the phone call the night before to give us delivery window. Contacted sales person and was told 'you're scheduled for June 1st" (not asking if this date was ok. It wasn't. Then were given June 8th as delivery date. No phone call night before, no contact june 8th as of 1pm. At 2 pm, email stating delivery would be june 9. then told 10:30-1:30 window. morning of the 9th, time change. Oven finally did arrive, the gentlemen that delivered and installed were professional and friendly. Installation was done in about 15 minutes.

We bought an 8 piece sectional and for the price we paid for, highly disappointed is an understatement. 1. Our original delivery date got pushed back which was fine. However, day of, delivery shows up and asks "are you sure yall are okay with the stains?" Huh?? We said we weren't made aware of any stains and plus no, we would not be okay with that. Delivery told us they said it was okay. We said no, send it back we want a new one. Okay, no problem. 2. Our new couch arrives, they deliver it and set up. When they leave we realize we're missing 2 pieces and we still have stains. Mind you, it's a white couch but categorized as "gray". 3. We call customer service and whomever we spoke to was so mean and unprofessional. We had our receipts in front of us showing that we had bought 8 pieces. On her end it didn't. She then said, "Well I don't know what you want me to do about it." 4. We gave up, drove to NFM and whomever the customer service representative there was, she was an absolute angel. She found out that not only did they forget 2 pieces, they also forgot to add the warranty we paid for. We told her about our stains and she gave us a voucher for in-store credit which was so kind of her. She was the most helpful out of everyone we spoke to. Whoever is wrapping up these couches either has very dirty hands or it's just not kept right in the warehouse. It's completely unacceptable when people are paying thousands for furniture.

Sometimes you learn more about a business from what they don't do than what they do…read more I called Fireplace & BBQ's looking for help with my 50+ year-old Broilmaster P3X. I needed diagnostics and repair, and while they sell genuine Broilmaster parts, they don't really perform that type of repair work themselves. Here's where they earned a customer for life. Instead of trying to sell me a new grill--or worse, pretending they could do something they couldn't--they recommended a local technician who regularly purchases Broilmaster parts from them. That technician drove over an hour to diagnose and rebuild my grill, using only factory-authorized Broilmaster parts purchased from Fireplace & BBQ's. The result? My old Broilmaster now looks and performs like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I'm convinced it'll probably outlive me. Could I have gone to a big-box store and bought a shiny new aluminum grill? Sure. That's exactly what one store recommended. But anyone who knows grills knows many of those are designed to be replaced every few years. My Broilmaster was built to last generations, and now it probably will. The best part of this story is that Fireplace & BBQ's didn't have to recommend someone else. They could have simply said, "Sorry, we don't do that." Instead, they pointed me to the right person, and in the end they still earned the parts business because I insisted my technician buy only genuine manufacturer-authorized parts from them. That's how great businesses operate. They put the customer first, earn trust instead of demanding it, and understand that doing the right thing almost always comes back around. Five stars for honesty. Five stars for integrity. Five stars for understanding that customer loyalty is earned--not sold. They've earned mine. Easy 5 STARS

So, The Colony Home Depot may not be the biggest, or the most intensely stocked, but in the past…read morefew weeks they have proved they have heart and are beyond willing to help in these trying times. The curbside pickup is always friendly. Which helps make home projects and repairs easier to accomplish. Now I go way back out here, when there was no "Big Box" and one had to travel to Lewisville to Adams Building Supply or Payless Cashways. Imagine having to drive 15 miles just to get a piece of hardware or tool! I think that Home Depot is working on some of the concerns expressed in some of the other comments posted. They should. But for my money, I'm glad they are here, doing what they can, and trying to close the customer contact with a smile. Side note; Several years ago when a major storm came through and ravaged many homes in "The Legends" area. They came down, opened the store and gave city staff and homeowners access to such items as tarps, tools and building supplies to secure their homes. That is something I will always recall and appreciate, and always give this store first crack at my hardware and related needs. To the management of the store, keep working on positive customer contact. Don't "look busy" BE BUSY! Busy asking if you can help and giving it if needed. Stay safe and healthy.

This was one of the most frustrating home improvement experiences I've ever had…read more The process started with a measuring technician who was rude, provided poor customer service, and had to return a second time because the initial measurement was not done correctly. That should have been a warning sign for what was to come. What is most unacceptable is that at no point during the sales, measurement, or scheduling process was I informed that floor-leveling issues could completely prevent the installation from moving forward. If this was a known requirement, it should have been discussed before installation day, not after I had already invested significant time and money into the project. When the installers arrived, they informed me they could not proceed because portions of the floor were not level enough to meet Home Depot's policies. The installers indicated the issue could likely be addressed with primer or leveling products, but Home Depot's policies prevented them from performing the necessary corrective work. Instead of providing a solution, the project was simply stopped. To make matters worse, after no flooring was installed and no project was completed, Home Depot still withheld a $100 fee from my refund. Charging a customer for a project that never happened is unacceptable. Home Depot wasted my time, failed to communicate critical installation requirements, and then charged me for the privilege of receiving no service. I expected far better from a company of this size and reputation.
